Deadeye's jaw tightened. Wait a minute. If I'm here and you're here, that means.. He muttered and jumped 5 feet in the airup suddenly. This is the Dark Forest?! Deadeye yowled.

Bogtumble's teeth closed around thin air, and he pitched forward and landed muzzle-first in the dirt.

He didn't have to see his surroundings to know where he was; he could smell it just fine, and the taste tainted his tongue with the way leaf litter smushed itself between his jaws. For a long moment, he just lay there, sprawled out and face down in silence.

Then a howl rose in his throat, muffled at first by the dirt, before he lifted his head, flung himself to his feet, and spat rotting soil out of his mouth. "I HAAATE IT HERE! Hate it, hate it, HATE IT!" Bogtumble struck the ground with his paws several times and shredded through the rotting detritus, accentuating each word with a rough smack. "I'm hungry! I'm STARVED! There isn't a damn thing to here or a damn thing to do and I am sick, sick, sick of it!"

Bogtumble whirled and lashed out at the nearest tree. The branch he struck snapped off with a shower of splinters and he kicked it a second time for good measure. His working eye spun wildly in its socket as he spun in place a second time, seething through gritted teeth. "It's been so long," he breathed out. "So long since I've had good food. It wasn't my fault. It was a lapse in judgement, that's all. But they tasted divine, and I just couldn't stop myself-"

A manic giggle cut him off, and then it turned into a cackle. He smashed a paw through the branch once more, reducing it to little more than a pile of broken sticks, and lifted his muzzle to the dim sky. "DADDY!" he shrieked. "This is YOUR FAULT! Your fault that I'm stuck HERE! Keep a better eye on me next time! Should I come find you?! Make it easier?!"

Bogtumble plunged his claws into the dirt again and tore upwards, then a third time, then a forth and a fifth, until he had savaged a sizeable hole in the ground. "I'd bury you here! You'd NEVER take your eyes off of me that way!"

Sagethrush stared at the warrior before stepping out of the shadows. Uh.. Ya alright? She meowed and twitched her ear. Ya going crazy, ain't cha? Sagethrush noted and took a step closer.

Bogtumble heard the newcomer's voice, but he didn't turn around immediately. He was too preoccupied with gouging his claws into the ground, twisting and wrenching until his claws were broken and his blood seeped into the soil.

Eventually, though, he lifted his head over his shoulder and locked one yellow eye on the stranger.

"Get the hell away from me." Loathsome and rough, the words rasped in the back of his throat. "I'll show you crazy."

It had been moons. Since she'd talked. Since she'd moved. Starrywisp had merely curled up in this dark plane. Sent here for attacking her own Medicine Cat, sent here for defending her mate. Her. . . Tross. She wondered where he was - wondered if he even missed her like she missed him. She was starving - or the idea of starvation and being thirsty was there - but Starrywisp knew it was artificial. She'd been curled up in this same spot for so long, and had not passed on yet. Dead cats didn't need food.

Unfortunately.

A singular green eye opened as a roar shook the forest. The once-merry, happy she-cat shrank back. She didn't want to be noticed, looked at. In truth, she was ashamed of herself. For where she'd ended up. Here, in the Dark Forest, over a simple mistake instead of in StarClan, where she wanted to be. What would Hawkbite think of her now? He would be ashamed of her. So, so ashamed.

Sagethrush

Sagethrush narrowed her eyes annoyingly. Alright! No need to get your tail in a twist. She meowed and jumped a tree. Sagethrush jumped to the highest branch and sat there, watching the warrior. She licked her paw and ran it over her head as if a cat going crazy was normal in the Dark Forest.

Huh, well this is weird.

Usually when Treetiger awoke in these areas, it was more peaceful and less... icky. This seemed like the real deal, like she was truly in the Dark Forest, so perhaps she was? This was where Thrush dwelled, hm? She'd have to take a look around.

The Bengal started to stroll about, desensitized to the whole thing. However, this didn't stop the dark feeling dwelling within herself. She could feel her friend working its way up, wanting to come alive around her. It always did here, she couldn't stop it. She was vulnerable here, this entity escaping her was an escape from the dream world. An escape to the waking world where it could haunt her, she just didn't know it yet.

Slowly, it's claws would cling to her shoulders, a prickling feeling causing the fur on her shoulders to rise. She'd crouch down half-way, prowling now as her paws led her step by cautious step through the territory.

MURDERED HIS FAMILY AND APPRENTICE

Ebonywhisker padded around the Dark Forest and yawned. Boring. He thought to himself. He looked around and spotted a tree with many branches. Ebonywhisker jumped up and clung a branch with his foreleg. He used his back legs to push himself up the tree and he sat there. Ebonywhisker yawned loudly before closing his eyes for a nice nap.

"I wish..."

Smokekit's voice felt small against the impressive, dead forest - he was, after all, still a small kit! But in a way, he'd grown - he'd watch from below while his siblings grew, how they and his parents dealt with his death. The understanding the lady who visited him as he died was not some kind cat grooming him in his last moments, but a consumer.

Her actions had harmed his family beyond his own mistakes, and for that he wished for her to pay. If revenge was a word he knew, he would take it upon her - for the crime she enacted upon him, he wished to put upon her so she knew the pain.

How could he voice this?

"I wish..." another waver as he looked to the black sky.

"I wish to be alive again; so I can make the Eater pay! I want to hurt her like she hurt me.. my family!"

Nothing happened. Then, out of the corner of his eye he saw his grandpawpy barreling toward him. "Smokekit! What the hell do you think you're doing?? Don't--"

It was too late. Smokekit could feel something changing; his bones were creaking, his skin was burning. Squeaks of pain escaped him as his bones began to twist and morph, tearing the foundations of his flesh apart.

Beneath him, the ground shifted - solid dirt softened, overflowing with midnight water that sucked him in and swallowed him whole.

Wolverine was left standing on the edge of the whirlpool, alone. Damn it all! Why were they like this??
