Honeypaw heard her name called by the medicine cat for patrols. Broom? What a weird name. She hadn't been to that part of the territory much. She looked for her patrolmates and followed Deadmoon once finding her. She hadn't spoken to Sunpaw just yet, but she was always willing to make new friends.

Whisperinghive quietly listened to Crowtooth speak, his tail flicking softly. The compliment made the younger tom feel good, like he was worthy of being a warrior serving Windclan. "Thank you for listening." He said with a nod of his head before walking back into camp

Socked limbs could be seen pacing. Going back and forth as the fury lieutenant tried her hardest to remain calm. To maintain composure and find something to do. Be useful in some way. It was a struggle of late. With the way her darling bird had fallen ill again. With signs that were all too familiar. Because Dapplebreeze had lived through this once before... but Bravebird had not. She had fallen victim to the sickness, and a realistic part of her mind kept telling her that she needed to prepare for the worse. To understand that she might just lose her daughter for the third time in her life. And stars, she wasn't certain her heart could take it.

Hearing her name called in a voice that had become as synonymous with WindClan as Twilightstar's, the senior warrior turned her gaze at Lightningstorm as the medicine cat approached. By instinct, she dipped her head respectfully. Taking note of the cheery expression on her face. She had been working hard of late. So many ill cats... her own daughter among them. The lithe calico hadn't stopped working. There was a tiredness in her eyes that she couldn't quite hide, no matter how big her grin.

There was a side of her that wanted to shake some sense into her. Tell the skinny feline that she was wasting her time. That Bravebird was beyond saving. But she was certain at this point the medicine cat knew. She had seen the pity and sympathy in her eyes whenever any one of Bravebird's family and friends approached her for news on her well being. Her forced optimism on how she was trying something new out. Because there was always a new herb combination. Perhaps something she hadn't thought of before. But nothing worked... for this was beyond a medicine cat's ability to solve, of that Dapplebreeze had no doubt.

There was gratitude for the molly regardless, and as she explained the herbs that she was to search for, she gave a polite smile and a nod of her head. She was well familiar with sorrel at this point in her life, having had it be used by the very she-cat once before to nurse her back to strength. There was little doubt she intended to use the herb for her daughter as well. The tansy she did not recognize, but she would make sure to find some to the best of her abilities. It was the least she could do, and it would help take her mind away from... the inevitable while helping along if there truly was any help to be given.

"Yes, of course my dear. We'll go get those herbs swiftly," the patched warrior responded, a mismatched ear twitching before she turned to her patrolmates with a polite, greeting smile.

Mosspaw's appearance was quiet. A proper, respectful apprentice who was eager to help. It seemed Watertail was teaching his charge well. Redface was much more... explosive. Loud. Excitable. But all in a delightful, affable way. Yes, she needed this energy. This positivity. To drag her out of the depressive thoughts that had consumed her very being these past few days and nights.

"Most exciting indeed, darling," Dapplebreeze purred amicably, a demure smile lighting up her features as she pushed forward, twitching her tail as she begun leading the way through the entrance. "Now, best not tarry. Off we go to see if we can't find these pesky, rare herbs. Shall we?"

“Sorry for the late arrival!” A friendly voice called out. A white she-cat - splotched with light brown - was approaching the group. She gave a nod to Crowtooth and then turned to Lightningstorm.

“Borage and burnet?” Her ice-blue eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “Got it. Borage is a light bluish-purple flower, correct? And burnet is a type of plant - similar to parsley, in shape and size, if I’m right.”

Fleetsmoke gave a wave of her plumy tail.

WindClan apprentice (demoted)

Sunpaw made his way over, not in a hurry at all as Lightningstorm called him for a herb patrol. Usually he'd be quite happy and upbeat, but his demotion combined with an overwhelming sense of guilt vanquished any positive feelings he may have had. He was too busy worrying about whether or not he'd ever get to return to warrior duties once his demotion was over to have any happy thoughts. Making his way over, he was unusually quiet as he heard Deadmoon's call to leave. He forced a smile to at least seem respectful when he looked at the warrior and then at her apprentice, Honeypaw.

If you need an extension, let me know a maximum of 3 days after the deadline, otherwise you will be considered late.

If you need to be replaced, have your character approach Crowtooth with an in character excuse.
Hunting patrols, have your character report the amount and type of prey caught and insert links to the submitted prey store addition when reporting, or your hunt will be invalidated, and your character will be punished

Power Card: Cold Gust

The tunneler was sure he could physically feel the weight of the world on his back today, forcing himself away from where he's just been keeping Bravebird company in the nursery to the patrol place. She should be here, hale whole and itching to go on a patrol and bring in food for the lean looking prey pile. Instead she was wasting away, wane and fading with no fix in sight. It felt like the end of the world, this one little fact, and yet for the rest of the clan life was normal.


It was normal really, life carrying on despite it all, and so Crowtooth had to do the same. After all, the clan needed to eat.

"Alrighty yall! Gather around fer patrols an' please do remember what Twi said about bringin' outsiders home! Dont. Send someone home ta warn me an' take 'em ta the border ta wait!"

[Sedgewater Valley - Riverclan Border]
[Optional prompt: The river is calm today and floating on its water is a bunch of little baby ducks! Wait... those arent ducks but goslings. Oh god where's the mother?!]
"Silverrose riverclan aint back yet but they should be soon. Mind takin' Barleypaw an' Lightningpaw ta reinforce the border markin's so there aint no 'mistakes' when they do arrive? Id appreciate some huntin' too if yall can manage it."

Given the border had been vacant for a bit prey should be abound, flourishing with the lack of predators. Combined with the lack of danger with fishclan still evicted one warrior and two apprentices should be enough.

"Lionpuff. Dawnstar claims the murderer is dead but when yer at the wetlands please check carefully just in case. Take Duskfur an' Mintpaw wit' ya."

Last group that went there had brought a baby home and before then they'd found a corpse so Crowtooth could only pray it was calm this time.

"Ravenhawk, Im stickin' ya on thunderclan. Take Opposumbug an' Snowpaw an' please see if yall can rustle up some extra prey while yer at it."

The tunneler had never sent Ravenhawk on a patrol before but the other tom had been more vocal in the clan of late so itd be worthwhile to see if he could handle it. Also given the complete lack of threat at thunderclan it'd be easy, hopefully he could also pick up a meal in addition.

Now for prey and honestly Crowtooth was keen to take one of these for an unconventional patrol, aching for the familiarity of the tunnels to sooth how rattled he felt.

[Sky Glade]
[Optional prompt: Flowers are blooming and that means one thing. Hayfever! Also pretty flowers but mainly hayfever as pollen is everywhere.]
"Alrighty who do I wanna send.... Ah, Amberbone! Take Mallowflash an' Birchpaw ta the sky glade an' see what ya can rustle up, eye on the sky as always but ya should be fine."

Crowtooth wished he could send out Bravebird and her top hunting skills but with her pregnancy he was reluctant to do so (had she told anyone yet? He'd guessed but she'd not said anything)

The tom trusted Whisperinghive to manage things in case Flowerpaw acted up again but hopefully the molly was honest and really did wanna change things and be better. A good hunting patrol would be a good start to that.

"Finally Ill send.... Tallgrass, ya ok ta go? I know ya got injured awhile ago. If so yer takin Loudwhisker an' Cardinalpaw ta the falls ta see if ya can find some prey fer the pile. If ya have the ability check the cave behind the falls fer cobwebs, we always need those."
It'd been awhile since the whole clan had torn apart the mink that'd terrorized them living in the falls but by now the stink was long gone, leaving the falls pristine again. Honestly with the summer heat Crowtooth was tempted to learn to swim to cool off, as riverclan-y the sentiment was.

Where did her mentor, Hawkfur, go to? Snowpaw wondered. Before, he had always taken her out. She just looked for the cats she was supposed to be going with, Ravenhawk and Opposumbug. Huh, she didn't know them! And what kind of name was Opposumbug, anyways? Well, she'd remember that name now! Snowpaw didn't give a hint as to her thoughts, though. She just continued looking, having no doubt that her pure white fur would catch her patrolmates' attention.

Vinepaw looked up at crowtooth hm patrols it had been a while since he had been on one. The last one to say the least was tense.When Crowtooth finally got to him he sat up straighter.Hm so tunnel hunting with crow tooth and rabbitpaws younger sibling sounds like fun he quickly padded up to Crowtooth and waited for Vixenpaw to show up. “I can’t wait to hunt!..Say have you seen Vixenpaw?he asked his mind started to wander again that had been happening recently,he hadn’t been getting proper rest with his nightmares while rabbitpaw had been there for him when one of them happened it didn’t help the fact that he got them nearly every night.
