Once upon a dream
Snowdrop has always had vivid dreams. Dreams so vivid, she could swear they were reality, albeit different from her own - as if she were a dreamwalker. This has often led to deep sleeps and sometimes even mornings where she was still tired from the previous night’s dream, much to her struggle when it came to getting the morning’s first wash.
This night wasn’t much different. Though, unalike the usual city street and backyards the young one dreamed off, this time, it was a wide open plain. Scarce trees covered the area and rocky ledges decorated her surroundings as she looked around, flowers blooming beneath her paws. Her tail swayed around as she tentatively got to her paws, walking this mysterious plain until the sound of a soft drizzle caught her attention. It was a small stream running through the area.
Curious, the young lither kitten found herself sitting down by this little stream, looking at her own reflection within the water. She was bored, truth be told, not much was happening and it was not like her mama, papa or sisters were within her mind at this time. In fact, she hadn’t been playing enough with any of them these days and… That made her a little sad.
...She wanted to play with someone, kind of. That could be nice. She wondered, subtly; if she wished hard enough, would she maybe get a friend? Be it in the waking world or now – the kitten closed her eyes, shutting them very tight.
“Please, please, please, pleaaaasseeee……”
She whispered to herself, picturing the vision of a friend in her mind, wishing – hoping – anyone might appear, silly as it may seem. She knew, she was always alone in her dreams, save for the critters and flowers of the gardens; but what harm was there in trying?
[ @Rani - Feel free to have Bleeding appear and notice her, ofc!! Her wishing for a friend is essentially accidentally pulling into the shared dream ahah ]

Re: Once upon a dream
Bleedingkit
Shadowclan Kit | He/Him | 4 Moons | Just a Scratch
Dreams meant freedom, Bleedingkit had found. Dreams meant he could be himself and could just exist without fear of the consequences. The consequences of being weak hearted, of being a freak, of not being related to his new family and so being an intruder to them. He loved shadowclan, dont get him wrong but the little kitten was just so afraid of getting things wrong and so loosing his new home he was quickly loosing himself while he was at it.
Not that he was aware of that little fact.
So instead dreams were his sanctuary and the kitten was making the best of it, romping through the dream forest as happy as a clam clumbsy as he naturally was but forced himself not to be. He splashed in the stream, pouncing on leaves, and tried out his amateur hunting and stealth skills giggling all the while.
He sometimes saw cats in these dreams, not real cats but just fake dream cats he'd made up or false images of cats he knew, Moonpaw had even shown in some of his nightmares before. So this pretty white kitten, close to his age, who faded in with a moonbeam wasnt unexpected.
Though... She felt different.
She felt more solid, more real, but yet more ethereal and far prettier then Bleedingkit thought any real cat could be. The pretty bengal wobbled in place, wide clear blue eyes wide as he gazed at her awed, little mind racing to figure things out.
Gently, hesitatingly, he padded up with quiet pawsteps closer until he was just close enough to touch and he even lifted a little blond paw, as if to tap her to make sure she was real before it lowered, Bleedingkit suddenly bashful at the idea. How could he, a little flawed kitten touch someone like her, especially when he was pretty sure she in fact was
"H-hello miss.... U-uhm Im sorry if Im disrespectful but uh, a-are you a star-cat?"
He blushed, sky blue eyes dipping down unable to look at her.
"I-its just, my Mama says that star-cats appear in dreams with the sky in their pelt and youve got little spots like stars and your fur is really pretty and that star-cats tend to seem too pretty to be real and-" Bleedingkit was forced to suck in a breath as his rambling grew strained, shifting nervously as he realized he'd totally skipped over his manners and was being a rude little kitten in doing so!
So he forced himself to make eye contact, smiled politely (if a bit shyly), and introduced himself with a "I-Im Bleedingkit Miss, its nice to meet you..."

Re: Once upon a dream
Something had shifted. Something had changed. The world – although in dreams – around her felt different as his face was so undoubtedly clear. So easy to see, each intricate feature – the blue of his eyes, the stripes across his face, his bewildered expression staring right back at her. It was so different, so real. Nothing compared to the faceless felines she most often met. What did this mean?
His paw lifted, so close, as if he would touch her nose the same way her siblings teasingly bapped her day in day out to awaken her sleep or get her to chase them – but this time, her head only tilted. It spoke; his words crystal in her ears as they rung throughout the world of her mind.
“Star...Cat?”
She whispered the words back, carried by an unfelt breeze as the seconds ticked by. A starcat? Like the one papa talked about? From… That clan, in the sky? She looked down at herself, curious. Was she a star cat? Mismatched eyes studied the features of her paws, then him – yet other than shape and colour, she saw little difference between them. She couldn’t be a starcat.
Snowdrop looked up at him, curiously; though a giggle escaped her maw. This figure was funny, she liked him, eyes squinting as a reflection of her feelings – too pretty to be real, that sounded like her mama.
“Bleedingkit…”
It was one of those clan names, right?
“I’m---”
But before she could voice out the words, the world in front of her shifted again; taken aback, she gasps, the images within her mind swirling about until darkness ensues, and the waking world claims her anew.
