Re: WindClan Medicine Cat's Den
HAHA, so Aubs WAS setting a clan record for her marvelous stunt of failure and shame! Well that was a plus. She would be remembered forever. Go down in the thorn hall of fame. The windclan museum of thorns. Pure delight flashed through the cinnamon tortoiseshell feline, and with a brave puff out of out of chest she mustered all her Bravery and opened her eyes wiiiide, even though it stung horribly. "Cure em, Plant Whisp'rer! Unsick'n! B'lieve in you!" She squeaked with a lace of pain in her voice, trying not to squirm. Or talk. It was excessively hardest to talk.

Re: WindClan Medicine Cat's Den
Oh thank the stars. Deadmoon slumped a bit in relief as it became relatively clear that Owlkit would be alright. Lightningstorm wasn't worried, just a dab of water and all would be well. Owlkit didn't even seem that upset about the procedure, opening her eyes (yammering all the while as Deadmoon had discovered she was prone to do) to receive the liquid. Quite conscious of the fact that she would only get in the way or potentially distract one of the important parties in this situation Deadmoon stayed quiet. She had made it this far without causing any damage (normally she caused problems much sooner) and had no intention of starting now. If she just sat still and didn't touch anything or talk, everybody would be fixed up in no time. @ Alchemist Kitsune @ Blaaze

Brown paws stepped into the medicine cat's den softly, every step as light as a feather. Brown eyes looking around for the medicine cat, lightningstorm. He didn't see her around until he saw her helping another cat, so he sat down at the entrance and waited for lightningstorm to finish helping the other cat.
He padded over to lightningstorm when she was finished. He had the herbs in his maw, hoping she would see them before he had to say anything but seems like he needed to say something about them. "Hey! I was at the border with some other cats and I found some nice wet herbs for you!" he said with a friendly smile on his face.

20 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat
Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive
The feline walked in without question, glows gaze upon her curious. Questioning. A glimmer of recognition in glows eyes. Perhaps her assumption had been correct and this was a WindClanner returned? Stars knew that she'd seen cats vanish in the few moons' memories she had collected since the incident. If glow was a former WindClanner, then there would be no doubt they would know each other. The limp on glow's leg had instantly caught her attention the moment glow moved towards her. It wasn't judgmental. Merely clinical. A concern that there was an injury in the leg.
A swift checkup was enough to answer her worries. From the looks of it, there was no injury. If she had to guess, this was an old limp, perhaps one that had been present since birth. She could... vaguely recollect. Not faces. Not cats. Not even the exact events. But a sling like cast. An experiment to help straighten a twisted leg in the hopes that movement would be possible without pain as the kit grew along. It was an unsettling memory, if only because of how incomplete it was. How it felt as if she was seeing it from somebody else's perspective, but the fragments were all washed out. Not there. What memory she did have must have had a reason to resurface, however, and she couldn't help but wonder if this apprentice was the cause behind it.
She remained quiet as she cleaned the cat's wounds, a mild scent of twolegs clinging to glow. It would further cement the idea that perhaps this had been a patient of hers in the past. A patient taken by twolegs at some point of glows life, only to return now. At least glow had returned. StarClan alone knew how many never saw their friends and family again.
Injuries cleaned, Lightningstorm shifted her attention to her herbs. The marigold she had brought along serving its purpose, she mashed it together into a poultice, perfect for slathering on glows wounds before she covered them up with cobwebs. The herbalist could smell the telling signs of a canid in the cat's neck injuries, and she would rather avoid any infections to settle there. The ear, while perhaps not as dire in look, could take some dandelion to clean and numb while it healed. With this in mind, the Abyssinian mix excused herself momentarily, padding down the tunnels to grab a singular leaf to mash into a second poultice for the ear. Not a lot was needed, considering the size of the injury.
"Right, here we are. I'll be wrapping up your injuries in some cobwebs, but I'll need to apply different poultices on both. I've a feeling that once the immediate pain of that bite dies down your ear's going to be itching up a right storm. Now, how are you feeling pain wise? You look surprisingly unruffled for a chewing bone, don't you? Can still prescribe something a little stronger to help you rest today," the herbalist mewed in earnest as she began the application of the marigold, covering it tightly with cobwebs before moving on to the leaf she'd brought along to create the second poultice.

Mintpaw - A colorpoint gray-blue genderfluid with blue eyes - 9 moons - Glow/glowself
Mintpaw considers it for a moment. "If it isn't too much to ask for... I would appreciate it" Glow purred after Lightingstorm mentioned that 'something stronger' for glow pain. The ragdoll mix was really trying hard not to wince in pain with every single move. Maybe it was because glow's been used to pain, whether physical or emotional, since an awfully young age. Glow might never admit it, but glow missed the comfort of a mother. Leafpelt has left to StarClan too early, and what little Mintpaw could remember about her, was comfort, until the coldness of life took it away in the form of a bird of prey.

20 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat
Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive
A wide grin crossed the molly's maw at the talkative troublemaker's response. She liked this kit, even if she maybe needed to learn some more proper mischief etiquette. It just wasn't fun if you got hurt enough to get caught, now was it? A small part at the back of her mind wondered if these were the kinds of thoughts adequate for a medicine cat to have, but she promptly let go of such foolishness. Just because she was the clan's healer it didn't mean she needed to have a stick up her rear. She'd leave that to her men-
A searing pain exploded in the back of her head, forcing Lightningstorm to close her eyes tight for a moment, instantly forgetting her trail of thought. No sooner had she forgotten than the blinding pain stopped, her gaze landing on the kit with the very open eyes. The confusion lasted only a blink, remembering where she was swiftly, her migraine past recollection as soon as it had ended. Grabbing her moss, she pointed at it once more. It was a simple enough process, and with a severe nod that clearly stated You got it, boss she lined the sopping moss ball with the she-kit's eye and gently squeezed. Letting a very gentle stream of clear, clean water into the little one's eye, attempting to cleanse it of anything that might have snuck into it while she'd been busy playing.
"That there should do it! How are we feeling, love?" the calico mewed in a chipper tone as she set down her now squished down moss ball.

21 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat
Flock Together [Tier 3] - Inactive | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive
A sigh of relief flooded through Lightningstorm as she finished with her patient, sending them off with a few teasing words. She was always happier when patients came to her. When they actively did not wait until things were so dire she might not be able to help. Something they failed to do far too often. Imagine her surprise when even as she was tending to one patient, another popped out of nowhere, coaxing a curious glimmer in her eyes. The medicine cat had been relearning names, memorizing each face and pelt by heart. To know who everyone was. As such, the name of the young tom that dropped by her den seemingly uninjured and in good health soon rolled off the tip of her tongue, little else able to escape her as the tom seemingly exploded, excitedly dropping a bundle of wet moss at his paws as he began rabbling about the herbs he'd found for her.
Genuine shock opening her almond shaped eyes to a slightly rounder form, the lithe calico tilted her head, a half grin on her face. She wasn't used to gifts. Cats would of course go out and search for herbs when they were told to, but rarely did they bring their own herbs for her. Not even the common ones that most everyone knew of, if only because of the many uses available for them throughout the entire clan. Wet moss was, admittedly, not very useful for nests and the likes, but the herbalist was fond of it. Found it excellent when properly cleaned to clear off gunk and debris - usually blood as well - from recent or infected wounds.
"Is that right, love? Well, that's proper nice of you, innit? To what do I owe the occassion?" the Abyssinian mix purred, a tease in her tone as she inspected the herbs, sniffing them over carefully.

Sunpaw
18 Moons | He/Him | No purrks
WindClan apprentice (demoted)
Sunpaw made his way into the medicine den, knowing this was his only hope of ever being allowed to be a warrior again. Guilt and confusion filled his mind as he stepped into the medicine den slowly. "Uh…Lightningstorm? I'm sorry to bother you, but Twilightstar told me to come and see you." He took a few steps forward, before sitting down, curling his tail around his paws. "What it is, you might’ve heard I was demoted for killing a young cat at the border, but I fainted right after it quite suddenly and I’ve no idea why. Twilightstar told me I’d need to find out what’s causing it and how to stop it, or else I’ll have to retire as soon as my demotion’s over or be exiled. I was hoping you'd be able to help me in some way?" He still felt so ashamed of doing that, lowering his head a little as he mentioned it.
@ Alchemist Kitsune (Sorry I didn’t respond to you sooner! I was on reduced activity for a week, also if there are any cats bleeding nearby that could maybe help with figuring out that the sight of blood is what’s causing him to faint?)

20 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat
Flock Together [Tier 3] - Inactive | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive
Poultice made, the medicine cat dabbed the dandelion ointment on the feline's ear, curiously sniffing at the injury. Unlike the dog bite, this one had a strange quality to it. Even. Unnatural almost. Lightningstorm could only assume it came from the twolegs that could still be scented on the apprentice. As glow accepted the poppy seeds, the medicine cat gave a small grin, excusing herself momentarily as she disappeared once more to her herb stores, bringing out a single poppy seed with her. Painful as the injuries looked, the paw was still young. Far too young and skinny for two seeds. A single one would be more than enough to knock glow out and take away any lingering pain for the foreseeable future.
"There you are, love. Chew on that and go take a good, long rest. You'll be feeling better in no time," she purred amicably, flicking her tail as she gave the younger feline one last look over before dismissing glow, knowing full well most cats preferred to keep their visits short when it came to the pungent, underground den.
@ Snivellus [Mintpaw]
| Sorry this took so long to get to. Been having storms in my area and mixing that up with Lightningstorm's incredibly long list of ongoing roleplays, the spotty connection is not being kind to my schedule. With this Mintpaw should be good to go and all healed up next time you roleplay glow. |

Mintpaw gave me the medicine cat a faint smile, grateful even if glow knew it was Lightingstorm's duty. Glow stood up gingerly and left, hobbling a bit, after Lightingstorm dismissed glow, but not without giving her a flick of the tail and a glance over glow shoulder as a 'goodbye'. Mintpaw silently hoped that Lightingstorm was doing well.
