Time for the slackers... Dusklion stood near the small rock she used to call patrols from with her ears flat and clear displeasure in her gaze. "Skyfall! Lilyglide! Talonpaw! I better see you all over here quicker than a fish swimmin' downstream," she called, letting her voice carry across the clearing - frustration and all. Her tail whipped behind her. Talonpaw... well, she wasn't exactly mad at the tom - but frustration was a good word. He would need a different approach than Skyfall and Lilyglide - one that included her brother - but she would still call him over for now. Azaleablood was missing, as Dusklion hadn't spotted them around camp for quite some time. She'd keep an eye out if they tried to crawl their way back into RiverClan though.

Skyfall's fur bristled when he realized what he had completely forgotten about. Oh no... not this.
anything but a punishment.
"L-Look, I can explain- i was waiting but then I saw Crowglow looking for something and deemed it worthy to help and-and our patrol leader hadn't shown up!" He meowed in a rapid, fearful tone as he tried to explain himself.

lilyglide tensed up hearing her name called. let out a sigh. This was going to be brutal, in her eyes at least. She was supposed to lead a patrol. and she never reported back. What a stupid thing she's done. She took a moment to gather herself and seem calm as she approached the call. She cannot blame this on the apprentice who didn't show up, this was her doing. But she does have an excuse if she's asked. The white she padded over to the deputy sitting down looking at her light grey paws as she sat. her light yellow eyes gazing at the other cats who were called. her gaze rests on the deputy. She cannot believe she let herself miss the deadline.

How slow can one cat be? Either way, she's ready to face the backlash of the lack of report. She let out a sigh, Likely nothing bad will happen and she thought again, but it didn't help her much. She hated not being on time. " I would like to say that our patrol was started late, Due to one of the patrol members being late to the call." she spoke trying to hide the anxiety coursing through her " Though this gives me no excuse on my part." Trying her best to make an explanation.

The apprentice stumbles out of the makeshift den the apprentices sleep in, his fur messy and eyes dull. The nightmares plaguing him have only been getting worse. He vaguely recalls Dusklion's voice in the middle of one, and he realizes she must have tried to call him for a patrol which he slept through. Or had a nightmare through. Sleeping would imply Talonpaw is rested, which he isn't. He waits silently once he reaches the deputy and the others that were called, blinking rapidly to try to push his exhaustion aside so he can focus.

At least they were all punctual for showing up when their names were called now - but it only served to irritate the deputy more. "You saw Crowglow... lookin'... for somethin'... Skyfall," Dusklion began, heaving a sigh and clearly fed up with the tom and his antics. First all of the oddness surrounding Appleberry and now.. whatever this was, "I don't care if a StarClan cat came down 'n flicked you on the nose - when you're called for a patrol, 'specially one with a kid who's new to RiverClan 'n relyin' on warriors to show her the ropes, you haul ass to it. I had one patrol who's patrol leader," Dusklion paused to shoot a narrowed glance towards Lilyglide, "didn't show up, but still Oceanclaw managed to take Covepaw out 'n get some huntin' done. Your actions make you seem more like a 'paw than any cat worthy of bein' a RiverClan warrior. So - for the next half-moon you're goin' back to Skypaw. Confined to camp, 'n if I see you anywhere outside of here... well, do it 'n find out. For now I want you tendin' to the nursery, the elders, 'n whoever else may need help around camp." A pause, and then she recalled what her brother had asked of her. "Oh, 'n now that that's done, Fades wants to see you in his den at some point." Whatever her brother had in mind likely had to do with everything that had happened with the warrior.

[ skypaw is demoted for two weeks in real time and is eligible to earn his warrior name back on 7/31. there needs to be at least three separate interactions between him and another clanmate with three posts each of him being helpful in some way around camp before he speaks with dusklion about earning his name back! ]

With her gaze now switching to Lilyglide, Dusklion just shook her head in disappointment. "If a patrol member doesn't bother showin' up, you head out without them. 'Paws know to stay behind if the warriors on their patrol don't show up, like Starrypaw did when neither Azaleablood or Skypaw bothered to do their job. Oceanclaw reported the patrol in your place; he 'n Covepaw had a successful huntin' trip. In order to make up for this, I want you out in the territory 'n not comin' back until you've got four pieces of prey with you - 'n if I see any scrawny mice in your haul I'll send you out again." This was a light punishment as far as Dusklion was considered, since she was allowing Lilyglide to keep her warrior name and not confine her to camp. With a wave of her tail, she dismissed the warrior.

Lastly there was... "Talonpaw." Disappointment laced her words as the deputy turned her gaze to the tom. He was getting old to be an apprentice, and come to think of it Dusklion didn't see him much around camp since the exile. But one look at his bed-raggled appearance had part of her heart clenching for him. She figured this exile would be harder on their younger cats - hell, it was hard on her - so his sunken expression and the exhaustion that seemed to roll off him in waves have her sighing. "You were called for a patrol 'n never showed - I had specifically put you on the border patrol so that you could get real experience with two established warriors, 'n start makin' progress towards your trainin'. I know it hasn't been the easiest for you with mentors, but it doesn't seem like you're even tryin', kid..." It was hard to toe the line between tough-love and genuine concern. His words at the meeting where Fogmuzzle had been killed still rattled around in her mind, and she would never forgive herself for allowing him to do such a heinous act to another cat.

"...Come with me. We're goin' to speak with Fades about what we should do." This punishment felt like one that should be delivered by the both of them, not just Dusklion.

Skyfall- well, skypaw- felt slightly irritated by his demotion, seeing it as an unfair punishment. "...Fine. you're gonna do such a thing, I'm gonna prove my worth." He grumbled angrily.

Patrols were getting easier to send out, and truth be told the deputy was starting to find a rhythm with them. Trotting up to the small rock she normally stood beside when calling them out, Dusklion let her gaze sweep over the gathered crowd. It was early in the morning with the sun having just started its ascent into the sky. It wasn't too busy in the clearing, but Clanmates were starting to go about their normal daily routines. Something about it made the dark tabby stop for a bit, taking it all in...

Outside of the three cats she'd had to punish the last round, most of the patrols were reporting back. That thought was coupled with how there didn't seem to be any issues with reporting them - and reporting them to her. As selfish as it was, Dusklion wanted to believe that it was because perhaps the Clan was starting to trust her again, and that the Fallownose incident was falling behind them. But she quickly swallowed the thought back and hid it behind narrowed, thoughtful eyes. It was foolish to think that. A pipe dream, that she would ever be seen as anything but a murderer in RiverClan's eyes. She just had to accept it.

"Patrol time! Gather at my paws if you hear your name," Dusklion called, waiving her tail to garner the attention of those in the clearing. But before she went straight into assignments... "Before all that though, I just wanna say... patrols've been runnin' smoothly, despite the unfamiliar territory, 'n I know that is mainly thanks to all of you. It... it's good to see that even far away from our... home, we're still workin' together to make sure RiverClan gets stronger 'n stays that way. So... thanks. Your hard work - it doesn't go unnoticed." ...Ick, sentimental. Dusklion hated it for some odd reason this time around, and she quickly cleared her throat to shift gears back into the patrol groupings.

With patrols now sent out, the deputy took a seat next to the rock where she had given them out, wrapping her tail around her paws. She had higher hopes that these ones would come back with no one to punish this time around (or her roleplayer would cry because she hates doing IC punishments).

He had never been on an patrol so this would definitely be a first for him. As he walked into the patrol place he trotted over to dusklion and nodded his head in respect as he waited for covepaw and seabreeze.

Bearsnout gave a nod as their deputy assigned him to a border patrol. He padded a little ways away from the gathered crowd that had gathered in the Clearing to a sunny and empty corner where they could gather. It was a nice morning for patrols, and border patrols were often simple. As long as they didn't run into any trouble they'd be fine. Catfishpaw was already waiting and ready it seemed. He smiled at that. He admired hard-working apprentices. Now they were just waiting for Brokenstream. "Brokenstream! Me and Catfishpaw are over here!" He called as turned to Catfishpaw. "Is this your first patrol?" The tom asked in a friendly tone.
