This cat, Willowtail, made it seem so less scary. It was nice to know that at least one cat didn't expect her to be brave. "Well, I guess I'm not so alone in disliking water then..... I nearly drowned in a shallow pool when I was younger." Starrypaw shuddered just to think of it.

Giving a small snif Willowtail mewed, "Sorry...... moral of the story uhm... it's ok to be afraid of any and everything. We can all fight through it togther." Goldfish curled her dappled tail neatly around her paws,golden hues of used on the task for a moment before she looked up again, noticing Dusklion glance over toward Mari. She looked at her for a moment, ears tuned for any abnormality. But it indeed wasn't her business if Dusklion was looking at her. The tortoiseshell warrior quickly averted her ebony pupils back toward her companion. "Yeah, I feel that. I really miss Riverclan territory. Too rocky here. But other than that I'm doing pretty good. It's nice that we don't have to worry about the starsdamn clans too much here, unless thinking about the future. Sure, there's there's Atari, but that's different, there's one Atari to worry about, as far as I'm aware. There's three clans." Her voice deepened to a growl for a moment, but she smoothly transitioned to something better. "On a brighter note, my sister Spottedstream returned to the clan a couple days back, n Marigoldpaw's showing potential. She thinks outside of the box. Very creative."
she mewed, then looked up at the Starpoint as Fadingstar spoke. Her golden hues blazed with ambition as he mentioned Seabreeze. Great Lionheart. One of the most dedicated cats. The Ace of Spades wanted that. The title, the compliment. She wanted to gain the respect of the leader as Seabreeze himself had. She couldn't hold back a grin. But then he moved on to Apprentice training. Right. Restrictions. Mari was 7 moons. She became an apprentice at seven moons. Goldfish showed no response tor this, but inwardly she felt an urgency to get her trained. As he moved on, her mind lingered. Alright, yeah. She can do this. As kitscwere called up, her mind wandered back to Dusklion's look at Mari. Well, she was pretty sure the brown and white apprentice had never trusted Dusklion that much in the first place. "If you'd ever like to tag along when I train Marigoldpaw you're welcome to." She said quietly, as she was thinking hard. "To get her to trust you more.. y'know?" in all honesty Goldfish didn't know a lot about Marigold and her trust in Dusklion, except for what she had picked up herself. But it was a friendly offer.

At least she wasn't the only one who missed home. Dusklion nodded in agreement, glancing around at all the rocks that surrounded them. It was sort of cool, but the deputy missed the water that made the Clan who they were. "I don't think I'll be able to be pulled from the river once we get back - I miss bein' able to swim," she chuckled, recalling how nice a dip in the stream felt on hot greenleaf days. But there were pros to being this far away - that being exactly what her friend(?) had stated; they didn't need to worry about the other Clans here. "So far I haven't had any... bad experiences with this Atari group. Met their healer, 'n they seemed alright for the most part." It was a weird conflict; the ingrained desire to drive outsiders away from their borders but at the same time recognizing that the Clan was in unfamiliar territory, far away from the Clans they knew.
Spottedstream had returned? "That's good, 'm glad she was able to follow the scent trail left behind." It did worry the deputy briefly that with the scent trail being as trackable as it seemed to be, that some of the more... opportunistic cats in the other three Clans would follow them up here. Dusklion watched as her brother called the to-be-paws up, pushing away the thoughts for now. There were quite a few of them it seemed, which was good. So when Goldfish offered for her to tag along to one of hers and Marigoldpaw's training sessions, she blinked in surprise. Would... the apprentice even want her along? Glancing once more at the 'paw, the deputy shrugged. "Sure," trying to be as nonchalant as she could, "...guess I still need to work on that with most of the Clan." And there went her nonchalant-ness.
New apprentices were named and given mentors, and Dusklion fell quiet for a moment to watch them. The deputy found herself disagreeing with the idea of giving Pebblesplash an apprentice. The she-cat hadn't done anything since her return, and she still didn't trust her all the way - not after she'd done much of the same before going missing and apparently dying. But the decision wasn't hers - the deputy would, however, keep watch and make sure the warrior actually trained the 'paw. If not, she'd be stepping in to say something.
Skydust's death was met with a small huff. "He only had a name..." she muttered, mostly under her breath. She knew her and her brother's opinion differed on it. While getting a name and sitting on their ass doing nothing might've been good enough for Fades, for Dusklion Skydust hadn't proved anything except that he wasn't cut out for Clan life.
New Lionhearts - now that was something she could get behind. A thump of her tail on the ground as a bright grin spread across her face, glancing over at the tom. He was doing well, and would be a good addition. After his name came Duskleaf, and her blue gaze shifted to him next. A good choice, though part of her still wondered if it was for the best. After all he had gone straight from Lionheart to Head Lionheart without getting a feel for the duties. But she was one to speak, having gone from a regular warrior to Head Lionheart.
And with that the meeting was wrapping up. Dusklion's gaze flickered to Marigoldpaw once more, who was watching both of them. The deputy got to her paws and glanced at Goldfish. "Well, I'm open to joinin' you two on a trainin' session - but only if she wants it," the deputy flicked her tail towards the 'paw, keeping her eyes on the ginger and black warrior. "...Don't wanna force anyone in this Clan to interact with me if they don't wanna. I know I'm not the crowd favorite." A half-hearted chuckle left her, shaking her head. "See you around?"
With that the dark tabby padded off, nodding to both Duskleaf and Bearsnout in congratulations as she passed.

A huff of relief left the cat’s mouth. She had never felt comfortable with the instabilities of RiverClan but this time it felt different. And way way worse for her now. Staring at the deputies eyes now, she begun to speak.
”I feel as if RiverClan is going to crumble under Fading. Now I don’t want to insult him as much as I want to now but, me and a few others feel as if he is taking a dark turn. Refusing to accept defeat, and now after a part of the clan addressed how they don’t feel comfortable with the way he handles any situation. He will still go along with his plans to do whatever. Fading lacks any self control and it’s beginning to pile up with the clan. We don’t even have a home anymore because of him. RiverClan is on its last limbs, we’ve been exiled from the other clans due to him refusing to address the foreign affairs we had with the other three clans.”
Thunder allowed for those words to float in the air for some time before finishing.
” I was hoping you could talk to Fading about these issues, maybe talk some sense into him. If he doesn’t want to fix our current situation there will most likely be a rebellion against him.”
The shecat gave that last part as a warning. She would start one if need be.
Ears flicking, and tail waving the warrior awaited a response.

At first, the deputy had been curious to see what it was Thunderchaser had wanted. She rarely saw the warrior around camp much, outside of meetings. Maybe asking to be put on patrols? Or when RiverClan was going to return - that was a popular question. So when the first words out of her mouth were an insult to her brother, Dusklion felt herself stiffen.
"First off," the dark tabby replied, tone curt, "Fades had nothin' to do with us gettin' kicked from our home. If you want someone to blame, you can place it on me." Fallownose's murder had been the final straw. Sure, other things had led up to it, and sure, there was still a small part of her that tried to find ways to justify it, but the facts were facts; her snap decision to attack the WindClan deputy - a cat who had been at his position for longer than Dusklion had been in the Clans - was what drew the majority of Twilightstar's ire; her jagged flank scare was proof of that. "I get that my brother's got issues - trust me, I grew up with him - but unless you've gotten your head stuck in a rock somewhere along the way, we're on our way to stability. Nothin' like... like the Fogmuzzle situation has happened recently, 'n he called for a retreat before we could lose anymore cats than we already did."
...Despite her own disagreements with her brother, and how she still was frustrated over his dismissiveness towards her during their private conversation regarding what Twilightstar had said, Dusklion wasn't about to just let anyone speak about him like that. Eyes narrowing briefly, the dark tabby turned to face Thunderchaser head on. She knew a threat when she heard one. "You, or anyone else, cause this Clan to lose the beginnin's of stability we've started to gain, 'n I'll see to it personally that you never set paw on RiverClan land again. Even now you're on thin ice - what kind of fluff in your brains do you have to tell me that you're plannin' a rebellion, hm? For your sake, I hope it's just hot air your spewin' right now. I've got no problem draggin' those who only want to continue to see us suffer out of this Clan by their damn ears."
Tail lashing behind her, she wondered whether it would be best to exile Thunderchaser on the spot. At the very least, she would be bringing this up with her brother. Head lifted she stared down the warrior, wondering what else she would try and speak on. "He's been tryin' to fix our current situation - we both have. But stars dammit, if a rebellion pops up in this Clan every time a new leader is announced 'n tries to get their footin', RiverClan might as well die out altogether."

cobwebfern let out an exhale, rubbing sleep from her eyes with a front paw. even a whole night of sleep after her vigil (in the corner of the warrior's sleeping spot, she couldn't find a place she wanted to sleep next to anyone she liked) she was still extremely exhausted. plus she was sleeping on top of a rock. there weren't extra nests she could sleep in, anyways. the mountains were very uncomfortable, she had decided, and she did not like them at all.
with a loud sigh, cobwebfern slunk out of the den and over to dusklion. ' hey. ' she murmured, bumping her head to her former mentor's softly. ' how's it going? we haven't really talked since the meeting where i was named warrior. i kinda missed you.. ' she trailed off, a little embarassed.

Today was... admittedly a lazy day. Sleep tugged at the deputy as she parted her jaws in a massive yawn from where she lounged on a rock at the edge of the camp. Patrols would need to go out at some point, but right now she didn't feel much like barking orders at any cat and risking potential backlash, especially after the blowout with the queens in camp. So for the moment Dusklion was content, tail flicking lazily below her.
Looking over as Cobs approached her, a grin grew on her face. Part of her frowned briefly. She had thought the younger warrior would want to put her nest next to hers, but so far she had been sleeping elsewhere. Not that the deputy could blame her - these mountains weren't home, after all - but it still felt... odd. "Hey yourself, kid," she purred in greeting, returning the affectionate bump of her head. The realization that they hadn't talked much sank her heart like stones, and Dusklion glanced at her paws. That was partly her fault, what with being so busy. "Sorry 'bout that... feel like I've been runnin' my paws ragged ever since we got here to make sure the Clan stays safe..." ...That, and she had quite a bit to make up for still. The Clan didn't trust her, that much the deputy knew.
Shrugging off such thoughts though the deputy glanced back at Cobs with a grin. "Hows warrior life treatin' you, though? You go out 'n explore the territory yet?"

He wanted to join..? Well, Merlin knew that Saturn wasn't exactly opposed to outsiders who wanted to join them - there were quite a few of the current Atrari who had, at one point or another, belonged to some other group or to no group at all. And besides, this cat wasn't putting up any kind of fight at all, he was rather respectful. While this didn't ease Merlin's wariness exactly, it certainly didn't do anything to increase it.
"...I'll let our Crown know you're here," he says after a moment. "What's your name?"
"My name is Shogun." He introduced himself warmly. The arrival of a taller, higher-ranking cat and his tail swished as he dipped his head down softly in a sort of bow of greeting. @Luminous
Fadingstar started the meeting with apprentice reassignments. Only one, good. None would be ideal, but with some of the excuses of warriors in this clan, one was about the best they could get.
Before starting on the apprentice ceremonies, he gave a few reminders on who was eligible to receive an apprentice and named one who was close to reaching the deadline for his training. Maybe she would reach out to help him meet the requirements sometime. Hopefully not much was left to be done; it would be a shame if RiverClan lost a good cat because his training hadn't been completed fast enough.
Fadingstar went on to call out Morningmimic for not training his apprentice, and Irisfrost's tail lashed angrily. Cats like him were the reason RiverClan had been reduced to the state they were in- homeless, defeated and unstable.
Five new apprentices were named, and Irisfrost cheered their names before Fadingstar announced the death of Skydust. She hadn't known the warrior well, but she dipped her head in respect for the fallen RiverClanner as silence filled the camp. A moment passed, then Fadingstar resumed speaking.
Her brother, a Lionheart. Warmth filled her heart as she scanned the crowd for Bearsnout, dipping her head in a silent congratulation. It wasn't hard to remember him as a kit; now he was serving the clan as an elite warrior. But even as a kit he had displayed the qualities necessary for the position, supporting their mother in the moments when grief overcame her.
Fadingstar was looking for new Lionhearts? Irisfrost would be lying to say the position didn't interest her. But even if she didn't get the title, she would work hard to rebuild the clan. Ambition wasn't a bad trait, but it could be if she let it grow too much and consume her. Cats had committed horrible crimes for the sake of power.
Duskleaf was the new Head Lionheart. Irisfrost didn't know him well, but he must be a competent warrior if he was getting the position. She gave him a brief congratulating dip of her head. Hopefully with him in charge and Bearsnout on the team, RiverClan could finally rebuild.
Duskleaf was still coughing a bit when Brokenstream dived into the water, except this time everything went perfectly. When the golden tom emerged, he was holding a carp. "Nice catch!" He couldn’t help but shout out. "A carp, isn’t that what you were after?" He did remember Brokenstream saying that he wanted carp.

Seeing his chance to even the score, Duskleaf dived into the water after a giant salmon, but he miscalculated its position and ended up landing in an empty part of the river, frightening the salmon away. Emerging from the water with nothing except dripping water, he shook some water from his fur before coming over to sit next to Brokenstream. "Looks like you're still ahead then…but not for long!" He purred playfully.
