Giving her leader a nod, Larkswoop instinctively dropped into the hunter's crouch and slunk quietly through the bushes until she was behind the rabbit. Her green eyes were narrowed down to slits as Larkswoop focused on her quarry, though thankfully her pelt blended in with the leaf littered forest floor.
Unsheathing her claws, the warrior waited until she knew the time was right. When it was, she darted out of the bushes with a faint yet sharp hiss, driving the rabbit towards Bumblestar and into the ThunderClan Leader's waiting claws.
Wolfhive had made a decent decision letting this one back in. The warrior went off without argument and Bumblestar shifted, crouching amongst the thick grass as Larkswoop swerved around the the rabbit's blind spot.
The creature spooked and bolted as Larkswoop burst out of her hiding place, and at the last moment caught sight of Bumblestar and tried to veer to the right. But she was faster and she lunged, sinking her teeth into the back of the rabbit's neck with a sharp snap and a cut-off shriek that sent the birds around them fluttering anxiously in the trees before quieting.
Bumblestar straightened up and rolled her shoulders, giving Larkswoop an approving flick of an ear. "Good on you. This'll feed a few kits pretty nicely. I'll cover this so we can get it later, 'n why don't you head off to the far side of the clearing, see if you can find something else? I'll catch up."

With a respectful dip of her head to Bumblestar, Larkswoop opened her jaws to taste the air once she reached the other side of Firefly Cove. The scent of squirrel filled her nostrils at once, and the warrior dropped into the hunter's crouch once more.
Eyes narrowing, Larkswoop pinpointed the squirrel. It was nibbling on a nut just beside the roots of a beech copse. Well, great. This would be tricky. With a flick of her ear, the dusky-brown-and-white she-cat smirked.
It's a shame ThunderClan cats know how to climb just as well as a squirrel does.
The ThunderClanner stalked forward slowly before emerging from the bushes. The squirrel instantly ran up the tree trunk, just as Larkswoop had planned for it to. The she-cat quickened her pace and - without thinking - gracefully jumped up onto the nearest branch without even touching the tree trunk. The squirrel was just a tail length away.
Once Larkswoop jumped up to the next branch, the squirrel was done for. She had grabbed its tail and pulled in backward, trapping it beneath a white-tipped forepaw whilst she lowered her head to sink her teeth in her catch's neck. It may have been quite the chase, but it had been a swift, clean kill. Purring softly in satisfaction, Larkswoop jumped down to the ground and landed gracefully on all four paws.

[ sorry - I had to wash dishes lol. ]
Bumblestar made sure the rabbit was covered up and protected before she lifted her head to watch Larkswoop. The she-cat seemed to be pre-occupied with her own hunt and so Bumblestar decided to give her some space. At this point the golden morning rays were slowly dissipating into a more neutral color, and she made a mental note to finish up soon.
Just as her claws sank into a large blackbird that had tried to escape and pinned it to the grass, a rasping, grating chittering sound bombarded her ears and she looked up again to see a magpie shrieking at Larkswoop from an overhead branch, its wings flapping as it hopped across the bark.
Bumblestar's whiskers twitched and she called, "Yo, you might wanna either grab that thing or start runnin'. Doesn't look too happy!"

A snarl twisted the ThunderClanner's maw. She reared onto her hind legs and swiped at the magpie with her paws, claws hooking its flesh through soft feathers. The magpie began to squawk and squawk, but it didn't last long. Larkswoop threw it, making sure that its body slammed into the ground.
Without giving the bird the chance to respond, the she-cat lunged forward and sank her teeth in the magpie's neck, killing it quickly.

Bumblestar took a step back as the squirrel was flung toward her, wrinkling her nose. "Maybe don't toss prey around. Somebody's still gotta eat."
And it was kind of disappointing to watch the bird just get absolutely decimated in three seconds flat. It would have made Bumblestar's day to watch it divebomb Larkswoop's face, and she thought the amount of force used was definitely a bit excessive.
"Gonna be shocked if that thing is still edible," she muttered, eyeing the claw marks that marred the bird's flesh. "Be more careful, no one's gonna want it if it's all torn up 'n then it'll just sit 'n rot."
With a sniff, she picked the squirrel up and went back for the rabbit. The area was already empty - nothing new would be around here for a while. "Give me that magpie," she ordered, taking the blackbird up as well. "I'll carry everything, you lead us somewhere else - maybe the Rise, since the Ruins 'n the Pond are pretty dangerous right now. I'll leave the rest of the hunting to you. This place'll be quiet for a little while after that ruckus."

Larkswoop nodded. ''Sorry,'' She mewed before bounding off in the direction of Willow's Rise.
Orangeblossom wasted no time padding out expecting the apprentice to follow with him as she was pretty on top of things when it came to getting the patrol together. It was easy enough, Firefly Cove was kind when it came to collecting herbs most of the time. With that the ginger tom thought of the herbs described to him in the patrol call. Yellow Bells, yellow bell like flowers, very straight forward, Comfrey, drooping purple flowers! And Moss, all easy peasy stuff hopefully. The meadow had all sorts of flowers spread throughout so he had no worries about not being able to collect anything for the patrol. His green eyes moved to the apprentice with him, "So, I don't think we've met before, happy to meet you! Let's have a good gathering, alright? Though to be on the safe side I want us to stick relatively together." Especially while being so close to Riverclan of all clans. But he didn't say that out loud at all.

“No it's ok, I’ll wait for you to kiss my paws.”
Lightningpaw looked around the firefly cove and kept an unintereted and unimpressed look on her face but in reality she got lost in the moment thinking about how pretty it was around here. Maybe she would catch the sight of one of those bugs this places namesake was after. Yet it wasn't dark out and everyone talks about them at night. Oh well. Oh the other one was talking and honestly she was insulted. How could a cat in her own clan not know of her? "That's strange since I am the prettiest apprentice out of all of them, though it isn't tough competition. I don't think I want to go to those four clan time wasters. Everyone blabs about it when they get back home. Unless you mean right now, then I think we can have an alright time." Honestly she wanted to go off on her own, Lightningpaw felt like she could handle it but it seemed the warrior wanted company. That was fine.
Right now they had to find comfrey and yellowbell. That was easy enough. So with that Lightningpaw walked a bit off from the warrior to look for some of these flowers. With some looking she found a decent bush of yellowbells, though she doubted that they could take it all. "Hey orange there's a bunch of yellows over here, let's take some!" She called out to the warrior before taking three of the flowers carefully.
Orangeblossom was a tad bit confused as to why the apprentice was suddenly talking about the other clans before he realized his confusing wording with a small sheepish smile sent in reply. "Sorry worded it a bit confusing, haha, I meant herb gathering... not like gathering gathering, you know?" Though the conversation moved on quickly as the apprentice found some yellow bells and picked them. Quite a few, a nice find! Orangeblossom purred lightly and gave a smile, "Good eye!" It was the warrior's turn to find something now isn't it? So some yellow bells have been covered so he should focus on getting some comfrey to balance things out then. Let's see, let's see.... Green eyes moved across the plentiful newleaf wild flowers already in bloom in the cove's meadow and eventually he spotted the droopy purple flowers not to ofar away from them and padded over swiftly to collect them. One, two, three... oh wait, that one looked super munched on by bugs so he should probably leave it. So two Comfrey and three yellow bells so far. That wasn't too bad but he was sure that they could find some last minute things before padding back to camp. "I think we can find some last few flowers and then head back to camp." He offered in explanation before returning to his searching among the colors and hues.
"Yeah maybe I should get some comfrey as well, I think I could hold a few more..." All this yellowbell was nice and all but Lightningpaw needed a different color to look prettier in this bundle. That way she would be the queen of pretty in all ways. But she was getting herself distracted she needed to find the damn flowers first if she was going to do anything. So Lightningpaw spilt off just a little to look around for the pretty purple flower. Lucky for her she was able to find two nice ones, the others seemed like they should grow a little bit more before snatching.
Orangblossom watched as the apprentice found some more Comfrey and then the warrior figured it was his turn to find something and then it was time to head back to camp as it was starting to be a while and he didn't want to be late for reporting in anything. The warrior eventually spotted some yellow bells and grabbed as many as he could find and then turned to Lightningpaw and motioned for her to follow him as they started back to camp. This was a pleasant and simple little patrol, nothing going wrong especially when so close to Riverclan was a win in his book for as simple as that sounds.
