"Impressive." Amberfern mewed as she rose up and out from the fern that sheltered her, nodded approvingly, This was first time she had actually seen a beehive get taken down. "You'll have to teach me that roll you performed at a later date." Amberfern bent down and picked up a stick. "We still have the cobweb to collect, ya?"

He nodded in agreement with Amberfern's words, though his lip curled in a sardonic smile. "You gonna have a hell of a time washing that mud off, though." He bent his head to inspect the hive. "The mud won't affect it, right?" He hoped not; it would be a massive waste if they had to toss this and get another. It would also probably mean it would be someone else's turn, since he doubted Sharpfrost would want to do it twice.
//Eekh, This patrol is due on the 17th! We either need an extension, or to get it done fast
" I'm going to drop this off, would you guys be ok with getting the cobweb on your own?" Sharpfrost said, already walking back to camp.
(I'm just gonna report in)

@Warriorsfan9054.1 "Can do," Eggpaw replied. He watched her off, then glanced to Amberfern. "Ima look over here."
It was a good thing cobwebs were so abundant in this stretch of territory. In just a few moments, Eggpaw was able to gather an entire wad of them, carefully rolling the silks onto a stick.
"Think I've got enough," he mumbled, unwilling to put it in the dirt. "Shall we head back?"

Amberfern padded off to gather cobweb, a few moments later she returned with a wad of cobweb on her stick. "Got mine, let's get going." She turned and led that way back to camp.
Lostpaw padded around and sniffed the air, her last kill was small, she needed something bigger, her claws iched to fix her hunting skills. she dropped into a hunting crouch when she smelled a frog, those were hard to hunt, very slippery. she stalked forward and opened her mouth to scent it, it smelled so good. she was hungry but she had to hunt for the clan first. "got you.." she whispered as she spotted the ugly little thing, she wiggled her hips and then pounced, this time she went over it and turned and made it hop into the place she was stalking it, she followed it and noted the dirt all over the ground, she let her claws make big dust clouds and the frog as easy to spot now, she pounced again and this time, she pinned it perfectly, she lowered her head and killed it, her eyes in slits at the adrenaline. she then picked it up and padded over to the hole she had buried her other prey and undug it and picked it up. this would do...this would do.
Ah, yes, an area he was remotely familiar with. Though it was a bit annoying to be shown territory he already knew, he supposes it doesn't hurt to cover all the bases. Looking bug over as bug takes a seat, the young tom listens to bug's words with an expression of boredom. He was one of the sneakiest cats in the entire damn clan. Of course he knew that! Or rather even if he didn't know that it had never been a problem for him in the past. Hmph.
"I've been here before. We don't need to linger for long." One more sweep around the territory and he glances back to bug with a nod, a snide grin pulling at his lips. "Unless there's actually something interesting about these unnamed lands."

"Nothing that interesting," bug says with a wry smile and a shake of bug's head. "C'mon, Icy Heartlands is next." Petalrot stands again and begins the trek to the heartlands. Luckily, it's not too horribly far away, and soon the evergreens break away into old, dead branches coated with cobwebs and the cawing of crows. Fittingly desolate.
"Icy Heartlands," Petalrot says, "most notable for being where Icestar temporarily had us make camp when we had to relocate for a time. The medicine cats like this place for the cobwebs, I think," bug wasn't actually very sure about that, but the next patch of territory to see was just beyond this. Still, here and there were the remnants of the old, temporary camp, sparse twigs and areas with more than the normal accumulation of debris for makeshift nests.

What an interesting landscape... The stark difference from the deep greens of the territory to the bland shades of rot here caught his attention. A crow's call momentarily draws his gaze and he watches it take flight, orange eyes wide and locked onto it with rapt attention until Petalrot begins to speak again. Oh yeah. Tour. That's what they were doing. However the information, again, bores him. It couldn't be helped. Walking around and taking in useless information was a chore. A yawn escapes his jaws and his disinterested stare turns from bug to another crow perched upon branches high above their heads instead.
"Cobwebs... Got it. This place obviously is blessed with them-- look at their abundance. Makes perfect sense to me." A pause and his attention shifts back to bug with a glint of interest. "Who is this 'Icestar'?"

"She was leader before Dawnstar," Petalrot says evenly. Truthfully, bug was not alive during her reign, or bug had been very little... either way, the details were blurry and bug only knew a few key points. "Chosen by StarClan themselves... I hear she did well with ShadowClan and began bringing us to our current powerful state." Or... their sort of powerful state. They have the reputation still, sure, but the lack of new warriors coming in would prove... problematic. "Ready to move on?"

Oh, right. There were previous leaders before Dawnstar. To him it had seemed like Dawnstar had always been leader of Shadowclan. As much as he disliked her she did her job-- well enough that the thought of anyone else leading the clan didn't make much sense to him. Aside from himself of course. Offering a thoughtful hum in response to bug's explanation, apparently it was enough for him, he nods. No need to continue a conversation that didn't mean anything to either of them. Batpaw used to have been a cat of many words but now? He didn't see a point in the theatrics his younger self indulged in.

Nightpaw eyed the tops of the webbed trees blankly as he followed Batstorm out. First time he'd been here, and the place already gave him the creeps. Was it spiders? Massive spiders that would come down and grab him? Hopefully not. Yeah, this place sucked.
"This is probably the worst place to start," he grumbled. "Whatever you're going to teach me had better be worth it. I want to actually be useful."

"It's called Icy Heartlands for a reason chap. Now chin up. If you can survive here, imagine how easy it'll be in the rest of our territory," Batstorm chuckled. If anyone knew him well, then they'd know that it's hard to make him entertained. But here was Nightpaw, making him laugh. The black furred warrior stretched a bit.
"We're going to be doing battle training so. Remember to keep your claws sheathed." Batstorm nodded. His orange gaze swept over the apprentice, assessing him. "I'll start you off with something simple, just a paw strike. Make sure you pay attention, alright?" he gave another nod to Nightpaw. Batstorm then began to demonstrate the paw strike with a sheathed paw. It was pretty simple, just lift your paw up, and slam it down.
"Now you go ahead and try it youngin'" Batstorm stated. He sat down to make it easier on Nightpaw to reach his head. To be fair, Batstorm was kind of tall and big.
