Swanpaw woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun peeking through the branches of the trees. He stretched his limbs and let out a loud yawn, before getting out of his den. As he walked out, he immediately noticed the mess in his spot and his fur. With a sigh, he started to tidy up his area, grooming his fur with his tongue and rearranging his belongings.

Just as he was finishing up, he heard a loud thump and almost crashed into Lostspark, the medicine cat of the clan. Swanpaw quickly stopped himself, his heart racing from the sudden scare. He let out a nervous laugh and gently stomped his paw on the ground to let Lostspark know he was there.

"Hey good morning Lostspark, how are you this fine morning?" Swanpaw greeted, still a little jittery from the near collision. He couldn't help but bow his head slightly, a sign of respect to the medicine cat. Swanpaw's excitement couldn't be contained as he practically bounced on his paws. "I was just wondering if you're not busy, would you mind teaching me some herbs? I'm really interested in them for some reason and I think the work you do is really cool!" he blurted out, his eyes shining with eagerness.
