Fawnpaw dashed after her mentor, her tail flicking to tell Spottedfire to follow. She almost tripped on a thick root, but jumped over it and landed next to her mentor.

Treepaw's chest fluffed out as Fireflypaw agreed with her. Her green hues shifted proudly towards Alderstep before his lecture about hunting came up. Oh, she wanted to hunt so badly. What if she was put on a patrol soon? She'd be an embarrassment! She'd probably die from that! "I'll get that bird on my first try! Don't you worry Alderstep!" The bengal spoke enthusiastically.

He fixed his gaze on Treepaw briefly. "You know how to climb trees - when you learn to hunt I'll teach you how to catch birds in the trees." Looking to Fireflypaw now, Alderstep added, "And I'll teach you to climb before you learn to hunt." The russet took a pause, catching his breath and sweeping his tail over the leaves littering the forest floor. "But, on the ground, birds are often eating something and will be distracted; however, they also tend to stick together," Alderstep finished. He'd get around to teaching them how to strategize when hunting a flock later, but for now, they were supposed to be exploring the territory, not getting lectured. Got sidetracked a bit, maybe.

"O-okay." Fireflypaw nodded quickly, as if her being quick and eager to answer would make up for possibly making him not like her. She didn't want him to not like her- she just wanted Treepaw to like her, too. Being a friendless people pleaser was a hard job. She then awaited the move to the next part of the territory.
He nodded as Harefire walked away. "Just you n me then. Now let's find some herbs," he mewed, looking around. As he walked, he saw a small stream. It was hot... Wouldn't hurt to cool off a bit. Leaf jumped in, letting the water cool his pelt. He saw some yellow that caught his eye. A bundle of yellow flowers - Celandine. He smiled and leaped over, nipping off a few.

Bumblestar trailed after Spiderthroat, eyes sweeping over the chunk of land that had formerly belonged to outsider territory. The forest was dense, foliage thick and almost oppressive, but she found a sort of comfort in how enclosing it was. There was a hint of the sound of a waterfall somewhere in the distance - she'd go check that out later.
It was irritating how long it had taken her to go out and do this, but she chalked it up to being flooded by everything else. Her eyes darted to Spiderthroat. "Let's get this marked and get back to camp."
The Calico followed beside the leader, an unamused expression on his face. Although his ears were moving every which way, a sign he was paying attention despite his appearance. "Sound's good. I'm hopin there ain't more foxes. Shouldn't be as far as I can tell, the smell's gone." he huffed as he got to work. Marking what he believed would be their territory.
"The waterfall looked pretty shallow, well the pool beneath it looked shallow. I thought I saw somethin behind it, a cave of some sort but I ain't sure. Bein attacked by foxes and such."

Drizzlecloud guided her patrol out into Thunderclan's territory--yeah, they were a little late to going out, but they were going to get it done anyway. They just had to find some juniper berries and... Whatever else they may stumble upon! Hopefully, with Wolfmist and Singesmoke in tow, they would be able to find a good amount of the aforementioned berries.

➢ The warrior follows after the medinice cat, ears perked and eyes wide. Questioning what exactly the berries that the patrol was searching for, even looked like. “Could you describe these…berries per se, as in what color and or shape?” Singesmoke hadn’t cared to learn herbs, cats and burn’s interest in studying one’s movements and mannerisms had taken hold at an early age of sorts, consider it early childhood if you will. Although one could call even that chaos, leaders were gone in heartbeats and Dawnstar had been taken over, something like that. Singesmoke could barely remember the details, burn’s paws had always found something that held more interest than a silly take over or cats dying at the seems. Something, something, Ghostpaw was the cats name? Eh, Singesmoke had burn’s fun with that silly one, especially that day, it had been interesting and followed with the destruction of something precious to void, Singe hadn’t remembered the details of that one either, but perhaps it would come back in time.

Wolfmist trailed at the back of the group, gaze absentmindedly flickering from plant to plant. His paws felt oddly numb, though he supposed that could be attributed to the chill that the oncoming leaf-fall was slowly bringing the air.
His ear twitched as one of his patrolmates spoke, inquiring about the specifics of what they were looking for. Hmm, that's probably a good idea to find out. He wondered if Pebbleshine knew what juniper berries looked like.
The warrior blinked, turning his gaze to Drizzlecloud to await whatever description was going to be given.
