Starrypaw merrily skipped over to where she had spotted Sagechaser, instantly trying not to pepper the new warrior with questions. See, she could be.. what was that word again? Notice..able? Wait, no... Aha! Observant! She had been observant last meeting! Had seen Sage..whatshisnameagain?runner get his warrior name!
"Hullo!" She called cheerily, and then paused, realizing she'd already lost the competition with herself for not saying anything. Whoopsie daisy.
Hawkbite quickly found the two cats he was going on patrol with. One happened to be Starrypaw, perfect! He tapped the little she-cat on her head before looking at the newly made warrior. "Back at it again!" The tom spoke with a small smile before beginning to lead them out to the territory.
"Hiiii!" Sagechaser greeted, enthused as ever. Looks like this Starrypaw was pretty friendly and not a stick in the mud like most of the clan was. And Hawkbite was Hawkbite, too. Just a couple of nice cats. Sagechaser grinned excitedly, following the enforcer out of camp.
Time to be a 'nuisance,' or what Sagechaser referred to as 'being fun.' "Hey, did you hear that?" he asked, trying to keep the mirth out of his tone. That wouldn't do, for he was trying to scare these guys. "Could've sworn I just heard something," he added as he looked up into the willow trees, this time succeeding better at sounding mystified more than like a giggly kit. Gah, he doubted he'd frighten these cats, though. One of them was an enforcer, for StarClan's sake! One could hope, however.
He should probably do what he was supposed to, though. Sagechaser took to rubbing his scent anywhere he could, taking extra care to scratch his cheek on the bark of a tree. He was too lazy to sit back and itch his face with his paws instead. Work smarter, not harder.

Starrypaw hopped after her patrolmates with easy, natural curiosity. Her paws were feather-light against the ground, making nary a sound as she skipped about, training behind Hawkbite and Sagechaser. She didn't seem one bit daunted by the prospect of voices, or ghosts, or whatever. Instead, she set to work batting at a stray leaf, completely forgetting the reason why they'd trekked out here. It was her first patrol, after all. Well, technically it was, since her actual actual first patrol had never left the confines of camp.
"Blimey, I didn't hear a thing." She said, brows furrowing. Her ears swiveled, though, for an entirely different reason. The tunnels called to her, alluring and inviting. Starrypaw had snuck out of camp enough times to know where each tunnel entrance was. It did help, too, that after a very eventful dream, she seemed to know the intricacies of tunnel-travel by heart. "You must have good ears." She commented after a moment, haunches wriggling as she pounced on the maple leaf she'd been batting at.
Hawkbite paused at Sagechasers words, interested until he realized it was a joke. . . or so he assumed it was. "I don't hear anything, so let's move along," the Enforcer spoke quickly, taking them to the border. He didn't dwell on the younger cats shenanigans, he didn't care. They were young and dumb, let them be that way.
"Starrypaw, do you know how to mark a border yet? I haven't been on a patrol with you to know," Hawkbite inquired, his ears flicking. Sagechaser was already moving ahead and doing- uh- whatever the cheek scratch thing was. As long as it was effective, he supposed. His green gaze shifted towards Starrypaw again.

Sagechaser pouted, turning away from the tree he had been rubbing his face on to look at the other cats. "You guys are no fun," he whined petulantly, though it was all for show. He departed from his willow tree to pad over to the rest of the patrol, looking over at Starrypaw curiously. Oh. Yeah, she probably didn't know what she was doing. He wanted to pounce on leaves too, but he was supposed to be more mature now or something, so the warrior flicked his ear playfully and stalked off to mark more of the border.
It was just his luck to step into a more-muddy-than-dry patch of earth. "Oh, for the love of StarClan," he muttered, looking down at his now not-so-white paw. Ick. Oh well. Sagechaser looked across the border inquisitively, eyes squinting as he peered at the distant moorland. What was WindClan up to right now? After a quick twitch of his whiskers, he went back to closer proximity with his clanmates, pacing to burn his energy. He didn't spend much time out by the borders, especially not by the marshier areas. His paws always got too muddy, and of course, he couldn't be a muddy cat with white fur. So he stayed away from those places. Needless to say, there was something intriguing about the swaying willows, maybe eerie if he were a less brave cat.
Momentarily, he turned his blind side to his patrol mates, still observing what he could. Too bad he couldn't utilize the strange environment for his vexatious endeavors since all the other cats were immune to the wetland's spooky allure. Disappointing. "Do you guys think ghosts haunt this place? Serious question," Sagechaser asked, eyes glinting with too much amusement to back up his statement of solemnity.
A young tom with something stuck on his head stumbled around nearby, trying to get it off."I'm gonna smell of pumpkins after this..."He mewed softly. This was Jack.

"I have to do something?" She chirped, eyeing Hawkbite curiously. Now that she actually paid attention, Sagewhatsitsname? was ... cheek-scratching and rubbing himself against stuff like his life depended on it or something. Maybe it did, who knew? "How do you mark a border?" She asked, staring blankly for a moment before it clicked. Oh. Was it like marking a nest as your own? So no one stole it while you were away?
Squinting dubiously at Mr. Sagerunner - or whatever his name was - for a moment, Starrypaw inched forward.. and dropped onto her back to roll around in the dirt with a wide, happy grin. "Tada! I'm doing it.... I think." Her gaze flicked to Sagerunner again. "Ghosts? Haunt this place? Why would they do that when they have StarClan?!"

When neither adult said anything, Starrypaw looked up and found herself all alone. Either she'd wandered off somewhere, or her patrolmates had left her. With a quiet, saddened whimper, the black and white apprentice turned and scurried back the way she had come.

Ushering the two out of camp, Vulturefang began the trek across the territory. After a little while, the terrain leveled out to muddy grounds, streaked with tall grass. Paws sinking into the damp ground, the deputy slowly came to a stop once they reached the border. Tossing a quick glance around, he gave out the instructions. " I'm sure by now both of ya know the drill, so I won't linger." tail flicking absent mindedly, he turned to give Ratpaw his attention. "You. Be careful. If you experience any sorta trouble just call for me or Nighthound. Alright? " sniffing bluntly, he didn't wait for a response. " Fantastic. Anyway, let's get this over with. Meet me back here when you're done." directing that to both of his patrol mates, the massive cat slunk off to start his part.
NIGHTHOUND He/Him - ShadowClan Enforcer
No Current Purrks
Nighthound followed behind Vulturefang, keeping silent as they journeyed toward the Windclan border. Once they stopped, he listened to the deputy's instructions and gave a nod. Border patrols were simple enough. Upon being released to do his part, Nighthound approached the border and sniffed along it. Nothing out of the ordinary. At least, not that he could sense. He remained wary, though, senses alert for anything out of the ordinary. Additionally, he glanced back periodically, splitting his attention between the border and his patrolmates so he could react quickly if needed. After a bit, he began to mark it, refreshing the scent of ShadowClan. There, his part done.
Following behind his patrol mates the large tom glanced around with one eye. It was like he remembered it, so this shouldn't be too hard. However, he might be a bit rusty. It had been so long since he had done anything like this. He'd try his best though!
Ratpaw stopped alongside the two warriors and listened to what Vulturefang had to say. Okay, they were to go their separate ways, but not too far away from each other. He dipped his head not saying a word. He moved along the border, scenting the air. Didn't smell like anybody had crossed over on his part. He marked the border before moving back over to where they first at.
He looked at Nighthound. Looked like they were done as well. "Looked good on my end.", he meowed.
