Marigoldleap heard the walls crumble around her and looked around to find any of her babies. Hopefully, Dirtkit, Cloudpaw, and Kitekit were alright. The molly looked at her mother and stepfather seeing them round up some kits, but she was focused on her own. "Cloudpaw! Dirtkit! Kitekit! Come to me so that we can make it out safely!", she called. Marigoldleap was going to make sure those three were going to be alright. Hopefully, she would see one or hopefully all of them.

Cloudpaw blinding ran to his mothers voice. He couldn't see through the rain but he shoved his face into her neck fur and shouted "I'm.. here", so she knew he was at her side

______________
The tiny tabby kit turned his head as Plumscorch approached. He dug one of his paws into the debries, and reached the other one out to the RiverClan elder. He was so close, just a little further....
Another sudden current swept the tiny kit away. He let out a yowl before taking a deep breath and going under. Man, that swimming lesson had paid off. Rainkit looked around under the water, seeing if there were any shallow spots he could go to. Somehow, he could hold his breath, and could Go With The Flow. He spotted a shallow spot not too far from him and started diving over. When he reached the bottom, he pushed his stubby little legs up, propelling him to the surface. He took a deep inhale of air. He turned his head to look for Lionbestie and Plumelder, but he saw a sharp peice of debries heading straight to him. He turned sideways, hoping that he could avoid it.
Alas, he could not. The sharp hunk slammed across his tiny little face, narrowly missing his right eye. As the sharp object swept away, another one came. Smaller, but more violent. It slammed right into the left side of his face. He let out a yowl of pain, rushing to remove the object. He couldn't see anything from his left eye. He managed to get the object away, but he was wounded. badly. The hunk had scraped beneath his fur, causing a lot of bleeding. It also hit his eye, causing immense pain to the kit. He could only see red in his left eye. He was lucky it didn't do brain damage.
He shut his eye, still bleeding from his left side, and scrambled his way over to Plumelder and Lionbestie. Tears streaming from his right eye, he managed to get on Plumelder. It HURT!!! "SUEAEQHGFEGDREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" he yowled in pain. Could ya blame him? He's only an itty bitty kitten. He pushed his head into Plumelder's fur. It was a dream, right? It had to! He wasn't injured, and RiverClan was just fine! He just needed to wake up! Right????

The hell broke loose all right, and he SCREAMED. Water was not supposed to do this. He could only think, run, run, run, run. His siblings! No, no, no! Autumnpaw, Summerkit, Springpaw and Minnowpaw couldn't be hurt. "Springpaw, Autumnpaw! Summerkit, Minnowpaw!?" he yelled as loud as possible. Panic, chaos! Water, breaking!
If they died here, he should die. To be honest, he should die. Just in general. Then the rest of the Clan would have better luck. He was a waste of resources. Summerkit should be an apprentice. He shouldn't exist.
But the Clan might need him. Flooding, flooding, flooding. Danger, danger, danger. It'll all be okay. It will all be okay... right?
And then...
he... ran.

The harsh, angry yowling of Big Beanie rushing into camp was enough alone to make Cormorantpaw jump onto all fours. The five moon old feline incessantly blinked as she tried to comprehend the wave of words that escaped her leader’s mouth. Something about WindClan attacking a patrol, something about WindClan taking one of his lives, and something about how RiverClan shouldn’t trust any Windclanner. The young feline herself never really interacted with any of cats of WindClan yet, and now she definitely didn’t want to. They sounded like huge jerks and they sounded like they put their noses into businesses where they didn’t belong to. Yeah, that is exactly what they sounded like! Opening her jaws to proudly state this, a sudden rumble overcame the camp walls as her jaws quickly snapped shut as soon as they have opened. Where in the world was the rumbling noise coming from? What was going on?
Suddenly, a frightened screech escaped her throat as a sudden wave of water poured down into camp, almost sending the mackerel tabby down onto her back from the sheer force against the gushing water. Her paws slipped beneath her as a sudden burst of fear rushed through her veins, a flurry of coughs escaping her maw from dirty water coming into her mouth. What in the world just happened? Her brain tried to comprehend the sudden situation of being soaked in water and quite literally getting herself stuck on the floodwater that rushed into camp. Her legs grew tired as she desperately tried to kick and squirm herself away from the rushing water, frightened by the sheer thought of being swept away. “AUNTIE LILY!” she screamed, her voice breaking away by the sheer amount of panic and fear that rushed through her system, tears almost forming around the edges of her eyes. Where was Auntie Lily? She’ll save her, right?
Right?

Sitting up with a grunt, she let out a shocked gasp as water flooded into the den, sweeping her off her nest where she laid. Frozen briefly with shock, the injured molly was pressed against the den wall, claws flying out as she shredded the den wall, trying to create an opening large enough that she could fit through, to no avail.
Already lightheaded and exhausted from the border skirmish, the molly didn't have a fighting chance. I can't swim. I can't swim. Oh god, I'm going to die. I don't want to die. Names and faces flashed through her mind of cats she desperately needed to find and verify the safety of. Lilycreek. Kestrelpaw. Pebblesplash. Stonepaw. She needed to find her brother, but as the sodden molly tried to kicked her way to the exit, the current flipped her off of her paws and she let out a cry for help. Help that she highly doubted was going to come. The bleeding and bruised tabby tried to shoulder her way through the den wall, feeling water fill her nose and mouth and pummel her already pained body.
She had to get out. She had to save her brother. She had to make sure he was okay. She had to make sure Lilycreek and Pebblesplash were okay, and Kestrelpaw. "Swim. Swim. Damnit, I can't swim." She snarled in frustration, the water up to her chest. Newly shredded ears were pinned against her head, and she felt the exhaustion crash over her, similar to how the floodwaters did, and the molly let out a despairing moan. "Dad, please don't let me die. Please help me. Daddy please." She whispered, emerald eyes wide as she glanced upwards, sending a small prayer to her father. Who she was sure wasn't listening.
With a final rip, she broke through the den wall and was quickly swept to the side, where she dug her claws deep into the destroyed camp wall to keep herself from being swept away from camp. In her delirious, exhausted state, she looked around for someone, anyone. Pushing herself to a standing position, she felt the water slam into her legs and let out a soft grunting sob, looking for Pebblesplash or Lilycreek or Stonepaw. They were her first priority right now, everyone else be damned. Although maybe she should stay focused on staying alive first, but that wasn't in the front of her mind in the least.
"STONEPAW! LILYCREEK!" She cried, the floodwaters mingling with the blood from her battle injuries as she looked around, panicked.

Birdpaw
By now, Birdpaw had gotten really good at not-drowning. But when her camp was attacked by floodwaters, it didn't help her terror at all. Letting out a terrified cry as she was almost swept off her feet, she looked around desperately for her father- before realizing that he wasn't here. She quickly found Pebblesplash, and after making sure the molly wasn't in immediate danger, she searched the floodwaters frantically for a few select cats in particular.
"Gingerfrost? Pebs? Kes? KES? KE-" She screamed out, before a piece of debris slammed into her hind paws. Stumbling and crashing into the water, her legs spun beneath her and she felt her head go under. Pushing herself up after being dragged along by the current, she pushed herself up, gasping for air as she continued to search the panicked cats for her friend. Definitely just friend and not someone she thought was beautiful and smart and amazing and- Now was not the time for the confusing feelings. She had to find Kes, make sure Pebs and her mentor were okay, and get out. They had to get out.
It was a truly sorry day, the rain pouring harder than ever. Gingerfrost hadn’t even the chance to take out one of his apprentices for training, the rain and hail thundering down so hard it was unbearable to be outside. In fact the deputy was still soaked from a brief try earlier that day, having just entered the warriors den to hide when a battered looking Beansprout came into camp – at least, for a few moments. There were shallows drips of blood clinging to dishevelled fur, though no visible injuries, the rain evidently washing away the red. It was a strange sight and, wondering what this was all about, Gingerfrost stood ready to listen even before the leader’s thunderous scream.
The first part was concerning enough for the tabby to have a light frown on his face, having been so cooped up in the den he hadn’t even yet noticed the injured in Stonepaw’s den. Orders were to not engage, it sounded fair enough for the situation, until the next questionable part came; his words were unclear, unclear of who fought and who didn’t, but he’d write it up to the stress of the situation. Even Twilightstar’s involvement – he expected a less violent reaction from the WindClan leader, though he could be wrong. But what truly picked his interest was that Beanstar lost a life. He doesn’t have any lives. The siamese told the deputy and medicine cat himself, and at those words, his eyes darted in Stonepaw’s direction for a fleeting moment. This claim was what truly made him question what happened. Unless StarClan decided to suddenly bless the leader with lives, why hadn’t he said anything? What was going on here? And if it was untruthful, why did he lie?
[ @carmen ]
His thoughts had little time to process, as Beanstar’s scream sounded across the clearing again. Alarmed, he looked up to see RiverClan’s wall bend and break, water soon pouring into camp with a strong current. A moment of panic gripped the deputy, though he soon reminded himself to focus. He looked around, eyes scanning his surroundings. “All able bodied warriors are to help those who can’t evacuate themselves! Think of the injured, the kits, queens, elders - no one is getting left behind”
They needed to get out, out out, somewhere where the water wouldn't reach them, somewhere high - a slope, a hill, anything. "Head for high ground!"
Turning around against the water that was already at his paws, Gingerfrost barked the wide orders around, eyes looking for anyone already in peril. And well enough – Splinterpaw. His eyes narrowed and without much though he already started hurrying over to the apprentice only to see someone else help him, thank goodness. With a nod of thanks to the warrior, he turned to hear Pebblesplash. Hurrying over to the Lionheart, he stopped short to see someone else already on it, eyes instead finding Silverpaw.
“Out of camp Silverpaw, now! Mumblepaw, Snowpaw, Birdpaw?!”
[ @vampire @lio @teddy. ]
He then called for his apprentices and kit, knowing Splinterpaw was already accounted for. That’s when he saw it – Birdpaw. With gritted teeth he worked against the current as to not get dragged away himself, slowly working his way over to her. As soon as he got close, he did his best to grab her scruff and pull her above water.
“Hold on.”
He Mumbled, doing his best to keep holding and slowly help her back to a part with less current – hopefully.
“Kestrelpaw! Help each other out, quick; head for the high ground.”
He gave the order, eyes already on the struggling but not yet drowning Briarpaw, followed by the injured Ashpaw – only that he was with Birdpaw right now, fighting against the current. “Someone help Briarpaw and Ashpaw!”
Bluefang had gotten her cue, and was running for the elders. That was good, the situation was worsening. More water poured in, and the forever queen stared in horror and in awe. Where did all of this come from? It hadn't rained too much these past days, but had the river banks overflowed? To this level? She hissed as the water came in waves.
God, there was do much. Shr fought her way through the water after making sure the nursery was empty of all life, swimming hard against the waves that threatened to crash her into walls and other cats. She was starting to get dizzy, the constant pressure of water against her chest. Breathing was hard, her chest cavity having to push against so much water. I'm never complaining about rain again, she decided in that moment.
Her head spun around wildly, trying to find cats she knew. Briarpaw, Cormorantpaw, Kestrelpaw. Birdpaw. Stonepaw, the others. Gingerfrost, Beanstar. Oh God.
A shrill scream tore through the air, and the queen's head jerked up. There was only one cat who called her Auntie. Cormorantpaw! The molly spotted her, thrashing and drowning the waves. Fear spiked in her heart, stabbing and cutting and goring. "I'm coming Cormorant!" She said, fighting against the water to reach the kid. With a mighty heave, she pulled the young apprentice out of the water, subsequently sinking in herself but emerged moments later, gasping. She breathed hard, holding onto Cormorantpaw, checking to make sure she wa spray, licking her chest to get her breathing going better. "You okay? Nothing's broken, nothing hurts?" Panic flooded her senses as she waited for the young cat to respond, before wrapping her in a hug. Oh god. Her kid's didn't know how to swim. "Your siblings; where are they?!" She swung her head, eyes trying to find the small apprentices that had been in Cormorant's litter. Were they with warriors? The queen let out a startled snroof as another wave of water bashed against her head,, disorienting her for a moment as she held onto Cormorantpaw. Lilycreek propped her kid onto her back. "Hold on for me, Cormorant."
Another voice cried out for her, and she peered up, her heart pounding. Briarpaw! "Briar! Briar, stay put, we're coming!" The queen made sure her niece was still holding on tight before trying to swim in the waters, fighting to get to the other apprentice. Her injuries were still fresh, she realized with horror. So were Kestrelpaw's! Kes' eye- she couldn't see out of her right one anymore! She tried to find her grey-furred niece, and was slightly relieved to see her clinging to another cat. Lilycreek's heart thumped uncomfortably, and her scooped up Briarpaw was well, checking on her. Her green eyes fervently looked over the other apprentice, scoping for injuries before wrapping her in a hug. "Oh god. Oh god, my girls, you're okay. This is a nightmare. Briar, get on. You can't swim." Lilycreek worried her lip. Cormorant's siblings- where were they?
KESTRELPAW
Oh dear. Oh dear this was not good. It was one thing to have to wake up everything to half blindness- it was another to be bashed in the head by pounds of water as she struggled to stay afloat. She screeched as something (a piece of wood) jabbed her near her injured eye, threatening to reopen the wound from her battle against the Windclan molly. She shivered, her heart pounding in fear. Lilycreek. Her aunt, Briarpaw, Nightspark, Gingerfrost, Birdpaw oh stars, where was everyone?
She fought hard to keep her head above water, using everything Gingerfrost taught her to try and not drown. She huffed, her throat closing as she tried to breathe in-
Her name was screamed, and her looked up in alarm, still fighting against the current for her life. "Bird? Bird!" she cried out, her good eye trying to find the ragdoll molly. There! The older apprentice was with Gingerfrost, and Kestrelpaw's muscles burned as she tried to cross over to the two. She breathed hard as she made it over, the waves threatening to overshadow her. Birdpaw went under, and Kestrelpaw gave a cry as she floundered to the surface, pulling the older apprentice closer to keep her afloat. Her could feel something trickle down from the side of her, and she realized with a quiet groan that it was blood. The thing that jabbed her much have gotten her good. "Are you- are you two okay?" She asked, following Gingerfrost's orders. Get to higher ground. Survive.
\\ CW: existential crisis + minor mentions of blood //
Lionpaw clung tightly to Rainkit and the piece of debris that was keeping them afloat. He used whatever strength he had left to fight against the currents violently crashing into them. The rain and floodwaters raged so loudly in his ears that he almost didn't hear Rainkit speak.
Wait a second... speak? Did he actually hear a sound other than some obnoxious intelligible squeak?
Lionpaw turned to look at him and sure enough, Rainkit repeated himself. He could make out a single coherent word amongst the squeaks; Scared.
It would be a lie to say Lionpaw wasn't scared too. He always put up a confident front but deep down he was terrified. He, of course, held his own insecurities. Like the fact that he felt he wasn't special. Like he was just another face among the crowd. A single insignificant ripple smoothed out by the waves of time. Just some cat that no one would remember, or care to remember, once he finished his life.
Lionpaw hated thinking about things like that, so he would always drown them out and think of something else. But now, as he clung for dear life in the midst of this flash flood, the grim thoughts began to resurface. He shivered as he was forced to come to terms with his own mortality. That any day could be his last; especially today. He held on tighter to Rainkit as these thoughts swam through him.
"W-well I'm not! So just hang onto me and I'll keep us safe!" he lied. Then, as if some starry spirit had heard his pleas, Plumscorch came to their rescue. Lionpaw felt himself be picked up and placed on the elder's back. Thank the stars! What was he just thinking about earlier? Oh well, it didn't matter now because he was saved!
He turned to smile at Rainkit, actually genuinely smile, but then switched to a look of horror as the kit was pulled beneath the vengeful waves. What had Rainkit done to deserve this, he thought as the poor kitten was swept away and attacked by not one, but two branches slamming into him.
He watched as Rainkit paddled with all his might back toward them, blood seeping from the gash on his face. It mixed with the murky water, staining it red. Lionpaw reached down and attempted to help pull Rainkit up out of the water and onto Plumscorch's back.
(He's gonna be nicer to Rainkit from now on. Only a little though~)

Raccoonpelt had been staring at the prey pile. The tom had been trying to find something for his two kits to eat.
But everything was spoiled.
There was nothing his kits could eat. All the food was covered in mold and crow food. It didn't help that the endless rain made it damn near impossible when it came to hunting. The tom had seen it first hand. The raccoon-like cat stomped on of his paws in frustration sending a splash of water onto himself before going to turn to try and go hunt for something. Though before Raccoonpelt could even walk to the entrance of the camp. The bloodied and battered Beansprout had came through the reeds. Raccoonpelt listened to what the 'leader' had to say.
The gray tom took a step closer to Beansprout. Do not mistake it for concern. Raccoonpelt wanted to know exactly what happened. Though before the tom could question the one eyed siamese. Beansprout yelled for the clan to run.
That's when the walls broke.
Thats when one thing filled his mind.
His kits.
Raccoonpelt took a beeline to the nursery pushing past cats not caring about them. The only thing on his mind were Minkkit and Flintkit. Raccoonpelt ran to his families nest and looked in.
Only to find a sleeping Flintkit.
Raccoonpelt quickly nudged his son awake.
"Love. Love. Wake up. We have to go on a trip. Where's your sister?"
----
> THE REMINDER •°.. 《 No active purrks 》
|| he/him ||
Flintkit was of course sleeping soundly in his nest. There was no reason to go outside. It was pouring and he was pretty sure he got hit in the head with a piece of ice from the sky. So yep, no outside the den. Though the nursery wasn't better. It was wet in here too. At least he wasn't getting hit in the head with ice. Flintkit curled into himself with no knowledge of what was happening outside.
That was until he was nudged awake and Flintkit looked up at his papa. Trip? Huh? Where were they going? This meant Flintkit had to go outside. Then the topic of Minkkit came up. Flintkit looked around. The pale she-kit was no where in the nest.
"I-I don't know? What's happening?"
| @Rose - Minkkit; Anyone outside of Rose do NOT interfere for now. Me and Rose have stuff planned |
Where was Minkkit? She was where she'd been for the past few weeks. Hiding. Hiding in the deepest, darkest, most secluded corner of the nursery, curled into a tiny little ball. Hiding, from the pain that plagued her and caused her to emit whimpers and wails every time she stepped out into the sunlight. It was no help that the sky was angry and had split in two. Or maybe it was sad. That was why it'd been crying for the past eternity. Sometimes the sky cried so hard that cubes of ice fell down to the ground. Minkkit had even seen the sky hit Flintkit straight on the head with one. She wondered what he'd done to offend it.
So at first, when Beanstar called out for RiverClan, Minkkit was unaware. Really, she didn't hear any of anyones words, with the way she was tucked away in a corner of the nursery, afraid of every beam of light that shined through the brambles.
And then. . . and then the water started.
It... Minkkit had never seen anything like it, and that was saying something. The stars knew that Minkkit had seen a whole lot of what she wasn't meant to. But now, water streamed into the den, first at a slow pace, and then faster and faster. It was only then that the runt kitten's ears picked up on the shouting. The absolute chaos picking up outside. And... she did nothing. She just lay there, thinking about the surreal sounds the cats outside were making.
All of a sudden, cats were rushing from and into the nursery with a sense of urgency, and still, all Minkkit did was look down at her now-drenched paws and underbelly and wonder where all the water was coming from. "The sky is crying." She said eventually, to no one. But her smile stretched as wide as it would go. "The sky is crying, Papa, and it's washing away all the red."
It was only then that she realized her Papa in question was not near her. That was odd. Papa was always at her side. He never left her alone, especially after the sun had started hurting her eyes. Minkkit had cried endlessly after that fateful day. She hadn't been much of a crier before, but fear had wormed it's way into her heart after what that creature had done to her. Minkkit was terrified that the sun was mad at her, and that was why it burned her eyes whenever she stepped under it's light.
The water level just kept getting higher and higher, and Minkkit automatically began to paddle her small feet to keep afloat. "Papa?" She called out, searching for her father. "Flint-friend?"
Springpaw
long haired torbie - 48/100 - She/Her - 6m
Springpaw was slowly losing the grip she had on this stupid den, her struggling to get air was not helping it one bit. She had tried to bring her other paw up to grip another part of the wall as she was trying to gather what thoughts she could in this panic. She hadn't bothered to pay attention to anyone else around her since she was more focused on trying to keep her head above this water, what good of a job that was. She slipped some as she once more choked on the water that was rushing into her face, the torbie was about to just let go, too tired to keep holding on this water was making her more exhausted than she's ever been before. Springpaw idly wondered if her siblings were safe, did they reach higher ground? Did her mother get to safety also? She hoped so not sure what she'd do if something happened to them, guess she'd hold on for a bit longer someone surely had to notice she was struggling. Springpaw was sure that one of her littermates would freak if some water was what got the best of her, she was sure one of them wasn't okay mentally. Which she was sure of it being Winterpaw he was acting weird lately, something happened with him for sure.
Just as she was about to lose her grip and get sucked underwater thanks to the strong current she felt someone nab her. Oh, someone finally realized she was indeed not okay and struggling for her life with this whole mess. Springpaw didn't have to keep her self motivated to keep holding onto the wall any more. Good because she was exhausted to hell and back and was about ready to let herself just get swept away. Seeing as she was picked up by the scruff and being carried she let herself hang from the elders grasp. She let out coughs as she spat out the water that made it into her lungs and tried to suck in the much needed sweet air. Finally she could relax since she wasn't fighting the water anymore, she was still worked up from that experience but slowly she was calming down. "...tired" she groaned out sluggishly. She wasn't sure if the elder heard her or not it wasn't like she was making any attempt to be her loud self like usual. Wasn't even acknowledging that her savior had two other occupants on her back, two of which she probably would of recognized if she was more alert.
She wanted to lay down and sleep forever now, no more walking or running, anything that had to do anything physical. "Sleep...now?" she had slowly angled her head up to the elder. A nap sounded nice actually sounded like the best idea she's had yet so far. Springpaw could hear someone letting out a wail she didn't know were it was coming from or even whom it was coming from. "Sleep" was all she muttered as she slowly let her eyes close, she was sure she'd be fine now since someone had her back. It would be nice it the camp wasn't going to ruins so that she could have her nest back but that was in the past now.
Cobwebpaw paniced... water was everywhere!!!??? he didn't even know how to swim yet!!!
Oh goodness gracies, Looked like he'd have to learn fast or this high water would take him straight to Starclan. He shivered as the water soon became chin deep for him.... not at all pleasing to the paniced tom. he failed to notice a branch coming up from behind and winced as it slammed into him... his one eye open in terror asd he was nocked under... it barely rejistered he was under the water before everything went black...
the roughness of the water though gave him not time to rest. he blinked open his good to gaise above him... it seemed he'd been drifted a bit as the once familiar surrounding where a maze of mud. he felt his chest squeeze... he knew he was running out of air. he had to get to the surface. think man, think!! he'd viewed his clanmates swimming before, it couldn't be too hard to do right? just had to copy their movements right? right....
Now, he remembered that when swimming the cats he'd often viewed would kick out their back legs and paddle with their front... he rightened himself in the water, bunching his muscles in all of his legs he sprang forward as far and he could... his claws dug into the branch that had hit him before. kicking out frantically with his back legs and keeping his front claws out, he slowly but surely made it on top of the branch, well at least as far as his front half could go without meeting water again. he knew from just the feel of the wood under him that the branch even in the water wouldn't hold his complete weight.
he looked about the cats around them... most where adults and apprentices that could swim on their own, helping out the clanmates that couldn't... he wasn't a kit, he could handle being wet, he wasn't some baby.... buut it be nice to know what he was doing!? panic flooded his mind... but the one eye'd tom knew he had to keep calm... he tried to swallow his fear, though it kept coming back up...
one thing was for sure.... he had to do something besides float there, he had to help out his clanmates!!!

Her body was growing numb. Her chest was constricting against every breath that she took. Her eyes grew weary against the water constantly hitting her in the face, and her muscles strained themselves against the surging force of the water. Each breath she took felt more shallow than the last, water entering her lungs and a heavy expanse of coughs escaping her body as water bubbled up to her mouth. Oh god. She was gonna die. She was gonna die and no one was going to be there to save her. Auntie Lily didn’t hear her scream for help. Mama wasn’t here to be by her side. All of her brothers and sisters left her without a trace. God, was this how she was gonna die? From water entering her lungs and giving her the inability to breathe? Her body grew more numb, and her head began to succumb beneath the raging surface of water. Panic and fear flooded her system, and she desperately continued to kick her legs in hopes that she could make it to the surface, but to no avail. Her muscles were weak, and her legs were tired. She couldn’t swim. She wasn’t a RiverClan cat. Why did this have to happen? Why did mama leave her and her siblings alone? Why was she… alone? Was this how it was going to end? With her dying alone in the raging water?
An exhale escaped her maw, the mackerel tabby watching as different shapes of bubbles danced themselves up towards the surface of the water. She never saw bubbles before in her life, and it looked so… pretty. Her body begged and begged for air, and she helplessly inhaled. A mouthful of flood water quickly entered her air-begging lungs, and she began to feel her body grow light and weary as a flurry of weak, soft coughs escaped her maw. Darkness danced around the corners of her eyes, her eyes almost completely drifting shut. This was it. This was how she was going to die. Suddenly, a wave of bubbles quickly blasted into her face, and the sudden feeling of someone grabbing ahold of her body made her drowning body jolt to life. Her body was quickly ripped away against the roaring waves of water and her chest felt like it couldn’t constrain any more air. Tired eyes glanced around herself as they landed up towards the mysterious cat who saved her. Auntie Lily. Cormorantpaw wanted to speak. She wanted to say something, but nothing escaped her throat. She felt exhausted and her fur was soaked to the bone. Her distorted ears barely took in the frantic questions that escaped Auntie Lily’s jaws, but her brain silently took in the fact that she was worried about her siblings.
Ah, her siblings. They were gone. They weren’t coming back. They left the clan alongside mama and left her here to die. That was what happened. That was what Auntie Lily needed to know. Weak, staggering breaths escaped from the young mackerel tabby, her body heaving against the exhaustion that laced her posture. Her lips quivered as she pressed herself weakly against the queen, shaking her head as she tried to speak. “G… g-gone… all gone…” she croaked, voice breaking as another fury of coughs escaped her, the remaining water dribbling out of her mouth as her lungs restlessly begged for air. She wasn’t okay. Her body hurt. Her chest hurt. She wanted to go to sleep. She wanted to go back into the safety of her nest. She wanted the comfort of her mama. Silent, staggering sobs began to escape the young tabby, her chest constricting painfully as the weakened sobs escaped her maw. Her young brain worked tirelessly to accommodate the next set of words that escaped her aunt. Hold on to her. Hold onto her like she meant it with her life. After Lilycreek propped her onto her back, Cormorantpaw felt like her body was failing her. That it was broken and that it couldn’t be fixed. Oh gods above help her, please. She was dying. Her head felt light and her body felt like it was failing. She was dying and struggling to survive.
Her ears barely took in the sound of Lilycreek calling for yet another apprentice, but her brain managed to stay conscious enough that she could hear the desperation and worry lacing her voice. She was calling for someone named Briarpaw, an apprentice that Cormorant herself didn’t fully know but heard briefly about. She was important to Auntie Lily, that was for sure. That was why she dove in to try to save the other apprentice. Her body remained still and her chest barely constricted with any air. Her head was pounding and her stomach felt like it was churning from the inside out. Her yellow eyes barely drifted towards the direction of Briarpaw, exhaustion and pain exacerbating her weakened body. Her lips quivered, and her trembling paw extended towards the other apprentice. She tried to say something to the fellow apprentice, but nothing came out of her mouth. Her throat felt unreasonably tight and her body was sore. What would mama think if she were here right now? What would her siblings be doing if they were still here? Cormorant didn’t know, but her heart desperately yearned for it. She wanted her mama and her family back.

OSPREYFLOWER
Riverclan queen.
open someone please save her 2i1232qjwehwqwd
Osprey had woken up to a surprise. She was fully engulfed in water only a few hours after giving birth. Looking around, she noticed the rest of her kits had mostly gone. Maybe they swam out somehow and tried to find help.
Osprey looked around frantically. Her air running out quickly. She struggled to bring herself up as her long pelt felt heavy, weighing her down much.
She swam up. I swear if you don't make it out alive! She thought to herself, reaching a small air pocket. As loud as she could, she yelped something she never thought she'd say ever again. "HELP!" It came out quiet, muffled gurgled. As quickly as she came up, the air pocket was filled with water again. Dragging Osprey around and around. She was panicking, her head dizzy not knowing which way was up or down.
Panic flooded in as Riverclan had flooded. Her body felt numb and her chest began to feel heavy. She was stuck. Unable to move at all. She felt like this was it. This was how she was going to die. The cold water was hard to keep out, rushing alongside her. She kept trying to fight, to find help. But her calls rang unanswered. She wished someone would come and save her already.
