Colversun set the scent markers. This was going to take longer than normal, since no one else had joined her. The dappled she-cat worked on, moving quickly between stumps and rocks, although not too quickly that she would miss something. One she had finished marking the border, she went back to double check her work. Finally satisfied, she turned and padded back to camp.

"And that, my friends, is how a revolution dies." - Haymitch
Copperfire's hazel eyes narrowed at the appearance of what seemed to be the leader of the little rogue group. "I hope for your own sake you're here on peaceful terms, but with an introduction like that, I'm not too keen on listening. Leave, now. Or we'll chase you off." The deputy threatened, feeling emboldened as his senses caught his clanmates' approach. This was a delicate situation. One wrong move could cause a fight - whether misunderstanding or not.
He slowly raised his tail - a silent "wait" that was his only point of control in this mess. He didn't want this to escalate into a fight, but with the way the she-cat had greeted him, he wasn't sure it would go smoothly. The tom kept his body language calm or at least neutral. He was clearly filled with tension though. Copperfire prayed to StarClan in his mind, begging for a calm encounter or at least patrol mates that would listen to him.
Delphic's icy eyes switched slightly from the single tom as more cats began appearing from the underbrush before locking back on the original. Now this should be an interesting fight. A hungry grin split her mouth. She would have preferred to take them out one at a time so she could have the honors of dispatching each one in turn but this would provide a good test for her newest follower. She jumped at the chance to put Beetle up to the test, the mousy tom needed more push to get to where she wanted him but at least she was confident he was a loyal dog. Petal, though, was something else. She suspected the pretty little mute of clan-leanings but she hadn't yet gotten a good opportunity to test the young she-cat, no better time than the present." Delphic licked her lips then pounced, giving little warning as she flung herself at the first tom. Her claws unsheathed as she reached out for the tom, aiming to rake long hooked claws down his face.
[ @flowsie Newtlight is welcome to attack Beetle, I'm pretty good with any powerplay against him ]
The tension and Delphic's sudden movement spiked Beetle's fur on end, his senses instantly alert as dread filled through him. As she flung herself at the nearest tom, Beetle's amber eyes moved to the she-cat hanging back. On instinct and uncertain paws, Beetle jumped between the waiting she-cat and the tom Delphic had engaged, protecting Delphic from being attacked by the waiting back-up. He had eyes on the other tom who'd showed up but he was on the other side of Delphic and her target so he figured he'd have to leave Petal to fend for herself with that one. He didn't like leaving Petal in these sorts of situations but in a three-on-three he realized he didn't have much of a choice, the young she-cat would have to figure out how to sink or swim.
Petal dropped into a crouch as Delphic leapt and Beetle moved in to block the only other cat Petal could see though Beetle's nervous glances told her there was another enemy in her blind spot. She dropped low to the ground and skirted around a bush where she could keep eyes on the battling cats but also be out of sight of the other enemy until she saw him first.
**Blackfir**
Everything erupted so quickly before his eyes. As soon as he moved into sight of his deputy, catching the tom's slight signal to wait, he dug his claws in. Part of him was hoping the rogue wouldn't heed the deputy's warning so he could teach the two a lesson they wouldn't forget but he'd do nothing to jeopardize Copperfire's command of the situation. Until the hostile she-cat sprang at the deputy. Without a second thought, Blackfir sprang, aiming to meet the rogue before she could connect with Copperfire but he was stopped short. His heart dropped momentarily as a third rogue leapt out in front of him, cutting off his defense of the deputy. Anger pulsed through him then his heart skipped as slow recognition came over him. The green eyes, staring at him flatly, were unmistakable. His aggressive crouch straightened as he took in the she-cat he'd come to know though brief encounters over his own apprenticeship and into his early warriorhood. Emotions and questions and confusion cycled through his mind. How is she a part of this group trespassing? Where have they been? Why did he not know of these other two? What do I do now? He couldn't let the attack stand and couldn't let up simply because he knew Petal but she was trespassing and her companion was attacking his deputy. Blackfir instantly felt sick with confusion. He shook his head slightly, hurt deeper than he realized he could be by the blank look in Petal's eyes and the defensive posture, defending the hostile rogue. But the tension inside him released instantly as something loosened in Petal's eyes, recognition. Her posture eased and then a question clouded over them. He didn't move as one after another thought seemed to flit across Petal's familiar face.

The leader had launched at their deputy leaving her in shock, before she could move to help throw off the molly a tom blocked her path. No, she would not let this happen. Her lips pulled back into a dangerous snarl as she immediately went down into a defensive position, attempting to take him off guard she dashed forward into him attempting to push him out of her way. Her claws flew out attempting to claw and bite her way toward her deputy, landing a few strikes here and there, jaws snapping dangerously close to his muzzle.

Flameheart stood under the roof of the warrior's den, her green eyes staring at the Thunderwillow. Her mind filled with memories of her apprenticeship: her ceremony, her mentor reassignments, her training, and the Gatherings she attended. The Gatherings... Flameheart had met Oriolepaw in the last Gathering she attended as an apprentice. It's been a couple of moons, and he's always sitting in camp... If his mentor won't do something about it, I will.
"Alright, Oriolepaw, come on, we're going out of camp today since your mentor clearly can't do their job and train you. You and I are going on a walk around the territory, I'll show you the borders first and then you'll learn parts of the territory."
Although she didn't exactly give the apprentice a choice, she knew he'd want to learn the territory and borders. Herondive Hollow is up first. Then I'll focus on teaching him the other two. Padding through ThunderClan's territory, she led the way to the ShadowClan and ThunderClan border.
Once at the border, Flameheart stopped and sat down, her ears perked for any sign of ShadowClan aside from the scents. "Right, here we are. This is Herondive Hollow, the border between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. What does the rival Clan smell like to you?"

Making her way onto the land that marked the border between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, Lark spared a moment to look over her shoulder at her two patrolmates. She at least hoped they wouldn't disappear halfway through, like her last herb patrol had gone. Really, the lithe grey she-cat would be pretty annoyed if she had to tell Dawnstar that more cats weren't listening to rules. Lark did not like being the messenger. Tail swishing, the apprentice enforcer began marking a part of the border, gesturing for her companions to take the right and left side. It was a border patrol, duh. They ought to know what to do.

silverwing does as the cat leading him says, not wanting a punishment like the ones dawnstar had given out earlier. and besides, it didn't seem like the cat leading him was stupid in any way. quite strong, acually

The tom sped up their pace once the enforcer took the lead, resorting to her usual fast-walk. He hummed under his breath, gently nodding his head in tune. They reached the border quick enough, and everyone quickly got to work.
She let out a silent chuckle as thoughts of the last time she was here fronted in her mind. It was embarrassing at the time but he was more than over it by now, now it was simply funny. She shifted her focus to getting this patrol over with in a timely manner, beginning to mark the borders. The scent of Thunderclan was slightly stale, but not concerningly so. Everything else seemed to be alright, so once she was done she would head back to the starting point, looking to the others to see if they had anything to report.

As Lark worked on her part of the border, rubbing her cheek and side against a cluster of bushes before moving on to repeat the marking process on a lone pine tree. True, the tree trunks here, closer to the ThunderClan border were broader, more leafy, and had larger roots, spreading over the floor like a upwalker carpet, but Lark found that she much preferred ShadowClan's pine-filled land, from the large trees to the needles scattered on the ground.
Amber eyes flitted to the other side of the border, landing on the large, orange ThunderClan warrior Larkpaw had taken note of when she'd first started marking the border. Well, as long as the rival Clan didn't try anything funny, Lark didn't particularly care what they did. As she finished, the lithe grey she-cat turned around to jog back over to the place where she'd last seen her two companions. Ah, Lynxblossom was already here.
"S'pose we wait for Silverwing now." She murmured irrelevantly. Lynxblossom didn't need to know that, since it was very obvious what they were doing. But oh well. She'd already spoken, and there was no way to take that back.

"I'm right here. i have been the whole time." mewed silverwing, barely 5 feet away. why was it so hard for someone to notice him? he might as well be invisible for all the people who see him.
