@Undertaker
A mercy. Cloversun nearly gave a sigh of relief. She wasn't going to lose her pelt, she was just demoted to an apprentice for three moons. A thought struck her. "What of my apprentice?" She asked. She liked training Sagepaw, but doubt she would get to continue.
//So, it looks like @/maple.'s Sagepaw has gone missing, but they had given him to @SpirtTheRat0w0

"And that, my friends, is how a revolution dies." - Haymitch
Smolderingkit sat in awed silence as Dawnstar spoke with such ferocity he thought he might wither away and die with the very strength of his words. Eyes wide, he peered up at her - not with fear or hatred but with wonder and admiration. How much strength did it take to confront the whole Clan like this? Had she always been so powerful or was she forced to have to work for it?
Smolderingkit wantedthat. He wanted cats to fall silent when they heard his voice, wanted them to listen to him without effort. Dawnstar was so cool; he wanted to be as strong as her when he grew up.
Thornpaw - 8 Moons - She/Her
Note : Thornpaw has only recently came out as trans, and should be addressed as a tom unless corrected.
Flame Point w/ Blue Eyes
→ The Shadowledge
Thornpaw thanked Starclan she wasn't exiled. No, she thanked Dawnstar for having mercy. Right now, right them, Thornpaw made a promise. She was going to do whatever it took to prove herself to Dawnstar and the rest of Shadow clan!

Shadefrost nearly jumped out of his pelt, as a cat who he hardly knew or paid much attention to called him violently back out to the freezing rain. He took one look at the angry molly and then registered what she'd said before answering, "yeah I'm not going back out there, but you can come to me if you'd like." A wide smile had spread across his maw now and he found himself wondering how an enraged cat could bring him such joy, especially at times when he felt like total crap. "And to answer your annoyingly inquisitive question, I wanted to see just how well my new apprentice could navigate her way through an unfamiliar situation. I also wanted to see how well she listens, don't worry if she follows my instructions word for word she'll turn out just fine." It was always the worse when cats questioned him like this, believing him to be an irresponsible cat who didn't think things through. Why couldn't anyone just mind their own business like he did, "Also before you bring up how I said 'I'd leave her if she ever got lost' and I know you will, just know that I was just saying that in order to motivate her to not screw up, but thanks for taking that caution measure away." Now of course he knew that the instructions and warning (if you can call it that) he gave wouldn't be enough alone, that was why he planned to watch Foxpaw from afar as well. Assessing her every move while keeping a watchful eye was the best plan of action in this scenario, but before his seemingly perfect plan could be executed, he'd have to survive the night against a cat who looked as if she was ready to kill him right there.

Aye aye aye! What was going on out there? Pinekit hated how he couldn’t go outside but he didn’t want to piss off Dawnstar more than how annoyed she was already. The small black kit listened carefully at what was happening between Dappledleaf and Shadefrost. “Mrs Dappledleaf is right,” he meowed,” it’s not fair on your apprentice if you make her have to find you somewhere that she doesn’t have any clue about! You should show her around and then you challenge her to find you in the territory! Congratulations on being a jerk for no reason, and for risking the safety of a brand new apprentice, loser.” He knew this was probably not how he was supposed to talk to a warrior, somebody who could instantly kill him at any given moment, but he had to point out that Shadefrost was being a horrible mentor within barely five seconds of getting an apprentice. Jeez.
dappledleaf
It was taking a lot of her control for Dappledleaf to not grab Shadefrost by the scruff and drag him out into the rain. "When I tell you to get your ass out here, I mean it you overgrown kit!" Her voice was a snarl and she was a heartbeat away from clawing this ridiculous cat. "How you were made a warrior is BEYOND me. I'm not one to question Dawnstar, but right now I'm questioning her judgement on you and your ability to be a mentor." Dappledleaf could feel her blood boiling as Shadefrost spoke more and more. He was just trying to save his own tail. "If I get word of you EVER leaving that girl alone in territory she doesn't know, I will shred your pelt and give it to Dawnstar, and then I'll take your apprentice as my own. Got it?" A little voice caught her attention, and Dappledleaf turned to see Pinekit standing there, defending her.
With a soft tut, the queen started herding the kit back into the nursery. "Thank you for defending me, dear, but lets get you back into the nursery. Its too cold and wet for kits to be out. Don't want you sick, now do we?" She purred softly, her attitude a complete 180° from how she just was.

Shadefrost gave a roll of his sapphire blue eyes. Yeah, yeah, he knew, he just didn't feel like being an easy mentor at the moment. However he did have a job to do and fortunately Foxpaw had just given the tom a great thought for her training, though he would never tell her that. "Alright, I trust that you have some idea on how to track right?" He wasn't quite certain whether the brat would be able to pull off this knew untested training method, but what's learning without a few experiments. "If not then I'll give you the quick and easy version. Take a deep breath and follow the smell that you're looking for and don't stop until you find what's emitting it." He'd been in close proximity to Foxpaw long enough for her to pick up his scent and though the rain weakened it slightly he was positive she'd be able to track it later. "Tomorrow I'll leave you a trail to follow at the camp entrance, follow it and you'll find me." He began to pad towards the warriors den in order to escape the pouring rain, but stopped suddenly and turned back towards Foxpaw. "Also if you get lost out there then so long, it'll be a shame but I won't look for you so try not to let that happen okay?" And with that he was disappearing into the warmth of his den, it was unfair and mean, but if she was as determined to be a warrior as she was annoying then Shadefrost was certain she'd find a way.

He went into the warriors den with the flame-point queen hot on his tail. "Shadefrost! Get your ass back out here, NOW." She snapped, her normally warm and gentle voice was now colder than ice, and her eyes were narrowed into slits.
"Why the hell would you think it okay for a brand new apprentice, who could DIE out there by the way, to track you through territory she's never been through?!" Stars above these warriors were ridiculous. "Foxpaw. You, here, now. You come to me immediately if this lowbrow scum tries to do things like this again. I'll deal with him personally. " She sat down, waiting for a response from both of the cats, her eyes fixated on Shadefrost. This cat was a pathetic excuse of a warrior already, and he made her sick.
{ @Archbone @Levi 99 - having Dappledleaf step in as she would not allow this and will deal with Shadefrost if he tries to argue if pp perms are given by Levi ^^ }
Foxpaw was about to give a sharp retort to her mentor, including words accepting his challenge, but then Dappledleaf stepped in so she played it innocent. "Thank you Dappledleaf. He seems to think that just because hes a warrior he doesn't need to listen to me when im just speaking common sense." She said, sending cold looks at her mentor, but her tone staying mature as she spoke to Dappledleaf.

The she-cat stared up at her leader in shock. Execution..? She sucked in a breath, keeping herself calm, just barely. She needed to remember that next time she was on a patrol. Thinking back to it, she was certain she was on a patrol pretty recently, perhaps she wouldn't be on one for a while now. She laughed inwardly, now that she said that, she would be put on the next patrol.

Amber hues narrowed with distrust aimed at Frostscreech at the tom's irritable words. Ugh, she really hoped, for his own sake, that he would treat Daypaw correctly. With a final, parting glare, Larkpaw moved away from the smokey bengal, paws carrying her in a different direction. Back to the edge of the crowd, where Lark preferred to sit, cast away in the shadows. She was a ShadowClan cat after all, former loner or not.
Light grey ears swiveled momentarily in Galepaw and Cougarivy's direction as the two went back and forth, Galepaw bickering and Cougarivy giggling. Skies above, those giggles were rather annoying. They were grating on her nerves. Shaking her head, Lark went back to listening to Dawnstar's re-assignments, recalling how quite content she was with her own mentor, Sorrelflare. He was lieges above that lousy Foxshade.
Pathetic patrol leaders were brought to light, and the lean damsel raised a brow with quiet amusement as a whole lot of them were stripped of their warrior-ship. Well, they deserved it, she supposed. Larkpaw trusted Dawnstar's judgement. ...Even if it meant having to share the apprentice den with three more cats.
No deputy was named, and Larkpaw couldn't say that she wasn't surprised. After all, Dawnstar seemed deeply disappointed in the way ShadowClan was currently working. To be truthful, Lark didn't know what proper Clanlife was supposed to look like, but she suspected that it was certainly not supposed to be like this. All Larkpaw saw was cats lazing about, not doing their work to the extent that other Clanmates were dying of starvation. If Lark was in Dawnstar's paws, she could only imagine how humiliating that would seem, having her cats dying because they're too much of lazy lumps to get up to hunt and give in to their natural insticts.
Fiery orange orbs widened slightly with surprise at the next assignment, as Dawnstar had announced her name alongside the list of new Enforcers. She had been picked to be an Enforcer??? Her, of all cats? Wow, ShadowClan must really seem pathetic in Dawnstar's eyes if the massive leader had picked a former kittypet. And Larkpaw was an apprentice of barely 8 moons. Undoubtedly, this gave her a noteable rank, and therefore, power. ...Not that Larkpaw would exploit it, but it was nice to have that behind her, in case someone decided to question her motives.
But where did Larkpaw fit into this group of Enforcers? She certainly wasn't as upbeat and cheerful as Cougarivy, or as grumpy as Vixensnarl was sometimes. 'Well,' The she-cat decided eventually. 'Pretending to be someone else didn't get you this rank, so the acting shouldn't start now.' But... What exactly did an Enforcer do? Larkpaw would have to ask someone about that, obviously one of the Enforcers. She dearly hoped that someone wouldn't be Cougarivy.
Her eyes automatically sought out Sorrelflare at a sudden thought, and Larkpaw sidled over to his side when xe made eye-contact. At least she was not without a source. Perhaps she could learn how to adjust to this new role alongside her mentor. "What do Enforcers do?" Larkpaw whispered quietly, so as not to disturb the meeting. Her question was genuine, as Lark wanted to live up to her leader's expectations. If she didn't know how to handle this Enforcer role just because she was too proud to ask a question, Lark's reputation would undeniably be hurt.
Briefly breaking eye-contact with Sorrelflare, Larkpaw turned her head to search the sea of faces, seeking out those familiar icy blue tones to see what Darkpaw thought of this. When she did manage to spot him, however, staring straight at her, the grey feline couldn't help the smug smile that lifted the corner of her mouth. Lark would not let this slide by without pestering him endlessly about it. With a flick of her plumed tail that was meant to be a small wave, the apprentice looked back at Sorrelflare, awaiting his answer.
“Excuse me Dawn’Star? I…” What can I say without sounding disrespectful?? “I didn’t do the patrol because the cat who was supposed to come with me, uh, never came… And I didn’t want to go alone, since that’s dangerous for me because I don’t know how to fight much yet.”
