The black and white she-cat was grooming her fur when she heard her name called. Border patrol to Saltmeadow Marsh? Okay. She stood and stretched. Slatefur spotted the pelt of one of the cats she was going with, his raccoon-like features easily distinguishable. She also saw Batpaw, the other cat on the patrol, making his way towards Raccoonpelt. She hated in front of them. "I'm here, we ready?"
Slatefur gave both of them a glance, before a little tail caught her eye. She sighed, realizing it was a kit, and ignored them.
Patrol? Him? The apprentice felt himself grow excited, but he was nervous. What if they met a Windclan cat? What if one tried to hurt him? Would his clanmates let harm come to him? No they wouldn't! Would they? Ratpaw looked around for those who were in the patrol with them. They better show up or he was going to be pretty upset.

His black fur ruffled in the breeze. Batpaw studied the two warriors. Raccoonpelt obviously looked like a raccoon. While Slatefur didn’t quite look like slate because of the white in her fur.
“I haven’t been on a patrol yet though so please correct me,” Batpaw’s low voice scratched.
"Yeppers! cheer up a bit, This'll be fun." HeatherRain put her tail over them. "And who knows, Maybe we'll catch the most!" the she-cat grinned. "now, let's get going! shall we?" she gently nudged the other cat.

~ Raccoonpelt watched as Slatefur joined the little group giving her a small nod before stretching for a moment as if he was stalling before heading over to the entrance of the camp and looking back at the other two flicking his striped tail for them to follow. ~

"Needleheart come on, we'd better not be late!" she called to the shecat before standing at the entrance and padding off. "Oh and we have to be sure not to step on the herbs. They probably look a bit different than the normal grass" she reflected in a whisper as she padded off hoping Needleheart was behind her

The one-eyed she-cat stopped in her route towards the freshkill pile. Her appetite had seemed to grow lately, surely the near starvation period did that no favors. Then suddenly her pelt crawled as a recognizable voice spoke her name. She turned slowly, both dreading what her father would call her over for but knowing better than to ignore him both as her father and as the clan's medicine cat. She was never as boldly defiant as her sister but she was growing to understand her revulsion towards Elmshadow, but why was hearing him call her over coldly for nothing more than patrol such a disappointing blow? She took in a deep breath, staring the medicine cat in the eyes briefly to acknowledge his order but said nothing as she turned to wait for her patrolmate.

He turned his head as he heard his name called, walking over to the med cat den, he listened to what needed to be done, an herb patrol, okay. He searched for Sunsetthorn, spotting her nearby

a very rowdy galepaw was in the apprentice's den, waiting for a moment to strike. yep, any time now, his patrolmate calmriver would come looking for him. aaaannnnyyyy time.... aha! the tabby pounced! with a giggle, he tried to knock over the warrior. afterwards, regardless of his success, galepaw shook off and looked at calmriver with wide amber eyes. "can we go now? i wanna go! i'm ready, are you ready? let's go! cmon!!"
