Shadowfur had gotten distracted by a Twoleg dog barking its head off at the sight of him. The black warrior was a bit impressed, underneath his initial fright. His dark pelt blended perfectly into the shadows; he was surprised the dog had been able to see him. He felt its fierce eyes boring into his pelt, making him want to retreat into the woods.

When he finally snapped to, he realized Sorrelflare was leaving him behind. Shaking the fear out of his pelt, he bounded after the other ShadowClan cat. Composure, Shadowfur! There’s no need to act this frightened around a stupid Twoleg dog. They can’t hurt you.

“Any sign of anyone?” he hissed quietly.

Lips pursed with mild irritation as Aspenpaw took it upon himself to sound irritated of all things. So much for being grateful. If Lark wasn't the cat that she was, she would have just turned around and walked off without another care for this apprentice's fate. But in the end, Lark knew what it felt like to be trapped. So she would stay and play along, for now.

As Wishingwell began speaking, Larkpaw let her gaze drift back in his direction, ears pricked. ...But his plan was a little off. She waited for him to finish, and then shot another glance at Aspenpaw, who was imprisoned behind an invisible screen, as her father used to call it. She inclined her head towards Wishingwell in agreement. "Alright, get me up there. I used to live in a no-fur house. I'll see if it's the same or not, but there should be a latch somewhere to open the, er, barrier."

The russet tom shook his head as he glanced over to Shadowfur, "I haven't seen or heard anyone. Let's hope we can find some soon." His russet fur raising slightly before settling when a dog started to bark but it was inside one of the things that twolegs lived in.

He grunted as he started to look more intently in the gardens to find any missing ShadowClan cats. Truly where are these cats! He hissed silently as his tail lashed in annoyance.

Dawnstar followed behind the exotic pelt tom as he led them along the strange barrier that line the twolegs' nest. Her claws were half unsheathed and her tail refused to still itself. The leader's sense remained on high alert even though she knew very well that there was not a single kittypet here that could be a real challenge for her. Not even sticking to the shadows brought the feline any type of comfort, these shadows were not as thick as the ones within the pine forest. They felt wrong, although that could simply be due to the ShadowClan leader was on edge.

She chose to focus on Slytiger's words as he mentioned the gardens twolegs had. The call of a voice had her head jerking in the direction of the sound, her tail twitching uncomfortably as Dawnstar stared at the stranger. The tom sounded friendly, and Dawnstar wanted to shred him all the same. The cat didn't look like a kittypet, he was built rougher, reminding her more of a rogue or loner than a kittypet. Dawnstar remained silent, leaving talking to Slytiger, while she glared at the cat. He looked like he might be fun to fight, alas, she had business to attend to so no pleasure would be found with this outing.

The tom blinked and thought for a moment "a few, tthough mind you, i care not aboout the ramblings of Softfurs or kittypets as you call em. i've seen a rather annoying tom by the name of duskwatcher nearby, though i doubt he's one your looking for, and a tom named Fangtooth, by the twoleg graveyard, " the rogue meowed as he leaped down from the fence "caurse i also seen a Kitten by the namee of Blazingkit trying to bite a twoleg brat.... most cats around heaar though of odd names of your likes i avoid, thoughm so i have not a clue about what they doing here or why, but i see its your business not mine" the tom then turned and paddled off softly, yet swiftly through the alley, before jumping over a fence to land in the yard he'd seen that annoying Tom kit that asked way too many questions for his liking. @NinjaBloss @Undertaker

Shadowfur snorted. “The only reason I came on this patrol is because ShadowClan desperately needs more paws. If we didn’t, I’d say let them stay in the Twoelgplace. What good are warriors if they can’t keep themselves safe? We have teeth and claws for a reason. If any Twoleg ever tries to catch hold of me, they’ll be walking away with bloody paws.”

The black tom bunched his muscles and leapt on a fence, surveying the area. He couldn’t see any cats he recognized. Hopefully Dawnstar wouldn’t have their pelts if they didn’t find anyone.

Slytiger tensed slightly as the rogue leaped down from the fence, though they made no move to attack, he slowly relaxed. The information was confusing as the Toyger didn't recall a Duskwatcher or Blazingkit, but he vaguely remembered a Fangtooth. Maybe he just hadn't been around when Duskwatcher and Blazingkit were.

"Thanks for the info," he grumbled, primarily to himself, as the rogue padded off before he got the chance to ask any other questions. Slytiger turned to face Dawnstar, light green eyes briefly glancing at the frenzied lashing of her tail before returning to her scarred face. "I assume you'll know the cats he mentioned better than me because I only recognized the name Fangtooth. Should we try to find him or one of the others? And do you want to try to grab herbs before or after?"

Shadowfur couldn’t agree more. He liked Sorrelflare; the two cats had similar lines of thinking and he seemed like a loyal, hard-working ShadowClan warrior. He hoped the pair would be working closely together in the future.

After a few minutes passed, he turned and prepared to jump off the fence. Before he did, he asked, “Should we report back? We’ve been out for some time now, with no progress. I’m open to keep looking, too.”

Duskwatcher yawned and crawled from a rather dusty space, his fur covered in dust and cobwebs. he'd spend the night cowering in the tight little space from the dog that had gotten loose and must have fell asleep. Duskwatcher perked up his ears when he reconised the lingering scent on shadowclan, even more so that of a cat he didn't really know but knew was in shadowclan "Hello? It's Me! Duskwatcher!?"
