to be quite honest, the brown oriental tom was restless. since recieving his warrior name moons ago, he had expected things to happen to him! exciting patrols, daring missions -- but alas, no. most of his days consisted of him lounging around camp, watching his clanmates and occasionally sharing tongues. the cat could feel himself losing the spark of adventure he had as an apprentice, falling into a boring, monotonous routine. hell, he hadn't even been chosen to help with the so-called "dangerous" outsider group! it felt like he was useless in the eyes of twilightstar. well, hmph. he wasn't useless! and cedarbug knew he wasn't useless, at least! but it seemed like no other cat did...
cedarbug sighed and resigned himself to pacing around adder rocks, keeping a sharp yellow-green eye out for any snakes. though, it was doubtful any would show up in this cold. his stumpy tail flicked in irritation as his negative thoughts overwhelmed him.
Milkpaw (he/him) Creamy-white fluffy fur and green eyes. Chonky face!

Milkpaw's body freezed as Ashclaw replied to Doepaw's provocation with an angered tone, the most dreadful he had ever heard from him. He turned his head just as his father was running off out of camp, leaving behind only the dark promise of emptiness and abandonment. Everything was falling apart.
He nudged Doepaw forward, not allowing her or Leafpaw to linger there a moment more; they led their injured sisters to the nest Cowpaw had arranged for her, and crouched down around her.
Milkpaw's heart felt shattered. He collapsed beside his sisters and closed his eyes, only to sink in an even more black reality where dark memories flooded his mind and tried to make him go crazy. He didn't know if he would bear all of this any longer.
The promise of a filfilling, adventurous apprentice life had faded. Only hopelesness remained in its place.
Hemlockheart found the den change unusual but exciting. He didn't struggle with the newfound freedom whatsoever, as if he hadn't already been sneaking out as an apprentice.
"You can just go wherever you want now. I was out of camp pretty much after my vigil ended, even though I didn't sleep. If anything, I prefer to just go out on my own and do patrol stuff whenever I want. You can ask Fallownose to put you on the net petrol if you'd like, though." he said, rolling his eyes. He'd mostly forgotten about the death they'd had, as much as death bothered him. There wasn't any prey that caught his eye.
Burnheart (He/Him) Ginger-and-white tabby tom with yellow eyes. ------------------------------------------------------------------
"If you're so sure." He huffed, taking another piece of rabbit with him. "Unless you're chickening out of an official hunting patrol. Don't wanna fumble over another rabbit, right?" Burnheart's tail aimed a playful flick against his friend's ear.
"So what's the plan today? I don't think you're the type to leave a day like this unattended. Especially before the cold comes in."

Hemlockheart's lips pursed as Burnheart suggested he was afraid of anything. "I'll have you know I'm a very good hunter and do not "fumble". Besides it was just that one time, jeez... Anyway, I think I'm actually looking forward to Leafbare. Prey is going to be scarce and all but I can't help but look forward to playing in the snow. Yes, I'm a warrior now but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to have fun. Even if my fur is not all that long." he said, looking down at his calico side.

Burnheart glanced back up at Hemlockheart at the words, a small frown forming on his maw. "I didn't say that. But it'll be our first leaf-bare as warriors. Times are going to be tough, and we'd have to be a strong example for the apprentices and kits that look up to us."
"And if they see you being sent to Cowpaw cause of a cold after diving into the snow, they'd laugh. Like I would." The frown turned back into a grin, and he shoved the rest of his rabbit towards the calico.

Both of them had the name -heart, but clearly it was for different reasons. Though fairly ambitious, Hemlockheart's demeanor was much more humorous and flamboyant than his friend's. He wasn't really prone to worrying either. Their whole lives were ahead of them!
"Speaking of Cowpaw, I feel really bad for the guy. We recently found out one of the warriors passed away somehow and he was very upset about it." he said, taking the rabbit quietly. He wasn't one to make the mood serious but it had been weighing on his chest.
“Hi.” The response from the cream she-cat was instantaneous, albeit a bit breathless as if she was fearing being shunned, and then Berrypaw regretted her forthrightness. Perhaps she was being a tad bit too eager. At this rate, she was just going to end up scaring Milkpaw away before any more words were emitted. It took a few moments to register that her companion's first words had been slightly hesitant. “Oh,” She blabbered nervously, realizing belatedly that of course not everyone would know her name. “I mean, um yeah, I'm Berrypaw, you're Milkpaw...”
Trailing off awkwardly, the small speckled she-cat was entirely ready to die of humiliation when her companion spoke again, and his words caused her to deflate considerably with gratitude. Smiling hesitantly, the faintly spotted molly nodded her head in assent. “I'd love to help out.” She spoke quietly but quickly, not wanting to hold up the other apprentice any longer.
[ I apologize for how late this is :,) My motivation completely disappeared until a while ago. ]

"Great! Because this huge bundle keeps falling off my mouth." He said, before hooking half of it away with one of his tiny claws. Now there were two soggy moss balls. "Let's carry it before it dries out." He added, grabbing one and waiting for Berrypaw to do the same.
Together they padded to the elder's den and entered quietly, so not to disturb the cats who were sleeping or wanted to be left alone. There was enough drink for everyone, at least for now, so the two apprentices could scamper out successfully.
What could they do now? Berrypaw seemed like a cool cat, especially because she showed kindness, which Milkpaw cherished as a special characteristic. "Uhm... What can we do now?" With such a young, timid cat beside him, it was easier to come out of his own shyness and he found that his voice was a tad steadier than usual, too.
[No problem! I decided to skip the elder's den part because it's always hard to find elders to interact with, but we can pretend the stuff happened and go on.]
Toadpounce walked into the den, finding his nest and laying down. It was still still early but most of the clan had left for the gathering, an event Toadpounce had found less and less draw to attend so this full moon he decided to sit it out and get some extra sleep instead.

The young warrior quietly minded her own business when she noticed a little kit out in an open, who mows what could to it. It could be SNATCHED by a bird on their way home, and it was freezing outside. Panicked you could see her jump and freeze in the air like a cartoon character jumping and saying AHHHHYOOOGAAAA! ( lmao. ) She ran towards the kit and shoved it under the safety of that tree it was next too. She noticed him to be Rue-Kit. A new kit to wind clan. “Hey! What are doing out here?? You can’t be out here. It’s way to dangerous for a little kit like yourself.” she exhaled a quick breath as she sat next to kitten. Oh god, where was his mother? Where was anyone to tell this kit to get in his den. Oh starclan, she pleaded for herself to be saved from all these things that kept happening to her.
