Narrowed amber eyes squinted up at the sun as Sorrelflare led she and Silvershadow into the territory. Finally, finally, she was going to learn proper hunting, the ShadowClan way. Her mother, Fablespinner, had tried time and time again to teach her as a kit, and then utterly given up when Lark showed no signs of learning and only wanted to play. But her brother Howler had attempted to help her when Fablespinner had given up. What could they have expected? She had been a two moon old kit.
Focusing on her mentor, Larkpaw blinked, watching with rapt attention as xe explained. It wasn't long before he was asking her to practice the crouch, and Lark lowered herself to the ground to demonstrate. Her left ear flicked, and Larkpaw advanced a couple steps in slow succession, placing one paw infront of the other. A couple moments later she paused to look back at her mentor, waiting for xem to perhaps correct her if something was wrong, or to just say anything at all.
Starlingkit padded over to those who where coming up with ideas, they may still have the title of a kit but they were now sitting at six moons and due to have their apprentice ceremony soon, so they figured it would be okay if they helped out with some of the in-camp stuff. As Lynxblossom suggested a deep clean of the dens Starlingkit figured that was something they were able to assist with, and so padded up to her, "I can help out," they gave him a little dip of their head to show respect to the warrior, "If thats okay of course."

"Of couse I can use all the help I can get." She gave the kit a smile. "How about we start in the nursery, okay?" The tom swiftly trotted towards the den. At the entrance he turned back to Starlingkit.
"How about you start on that side, gather up all the moss, and anything that shouldn't be there. " He instructed, pausing in case the young cat had any questions before beginning his task. The bobtail moved fast, gathering the moss with an experienced ease. A few surprises made him stop his flow, surprises that came in the form of rocks and sticks. But other than that the job was rather easy. The warrior looked to his partner to see how they were doing.

Starlingkit gave him a little nod, smiling slightly, before following her to the nursery. They had a little trouble keeping pace with the warrior but they had pretty long legs for a kit, so they weren't too far behind. Lynxblossom seems nice, they thought to themself as they caught up to him at the entrance, I wouldn't mind her as my mentor. Starlingkit had this thought about a few cats in camp, they should be having their apprentice ceremony soon so it was only natural to be thinking about who might be a good mentor.
The lack cats eyes took a moment to adjust to the nursery's familiar dim lighting, "Alright." they gave the warrior another nod before starting to shuffle through the nests and take them apart. They made a pile out of the old bedding and occasional twig, rock and dead beetle, checking them carefully before tossing them aside, just in case they were somekit's comfort object or a gift from another cat. They did come across a cardinal feather, which wasn't often found in Shadowclan territory to the best of their knowledge and decided that it must be special to someone, they placed it gingerly in the spot where they found it, putting a larger stone on top of it so it wouldn't shift as they cleaned. "I think I'm just about done.." they meowed around a wad of old moss in their jaws.
"Alright." She nodded. "You're doing great, I'm going to start bringing this out of camp. You can help me when you're done." She told them in her usual melodic fashion. She gathered up a few of the sticks in her mouth, something that would be harder for the young one.
On the way out of camp he noticed another kit, seemingly looking for a job. I'll talk to him on the way back. He noted. The tabby didn't take the sticks as far out from camp as he would've liked. But that was so he could get the littles to help him without being worried.
"Hey Pinekit." She called as she came trotting into camp. "There's a pile of moss in the nursery that needs to be moved if your looking to help."

Pinekit nodded. “I’d love to help!” He squeaked excitedly.

Shadefrost crossed the clearing towards the Shadowledge. He wasn't going to miss his leaders call, even if his wounds did still hurt at times when he moved a certain way. He listened intently to the announcement. It seemed simple enough, though he doubted he'd be able to do much alone. Gathering herbs was probably the most he would be able to do at this very moment. And, that was enough. As long as he was contributing to his clan in some way while giving it as much as he could, he felt confident that no one would blame him for not being able to do more. He could honestly think of no one who wouldn't be understanding of his situation, and if they weren't how could they blame him if he was not in a good condition to hunt for prey. He'd do the bare minimum of what was asked of him, so as to not injure himself any further and that'd be okay, right?
PSYCH. Who was he kidding of course it wouldn't be enough, at least not for him. Why would he do eighty percent less than he would've when he was fine now that he's hurt, who would that help? No one, not his clan and definitely not him. So what if he'd have to team up with another cat or two? Or three. And, so what if he wasn't big on doing teamwork in the past, that was no excuse. How did he expect to get far in this life without help, that's exactly what'd gotten him in his wounded state in the first place. he would give this assignment the same one hundred percent that every cat in his clan would and could give, even if it meant pushing past his limits. First though, he'd have to find some partners to help him hunt. Just because he was in a bad state didn't that mean he couldn't loosen his joints and start on his way to recovering.

Tallkit was soon to be apprenticed and had way to much energy and excitement for the nursery. She had been outside for a little while when Dawnstar had announced the activity. And she sure was excited! Finally something to do with all of her pent-up energy. Jumping into the task, she had seen some warriors pack dens with moss before so that was what she would do!
Clawing up some moss balls near the fresh-kill pile, she carried them over to the nursery with a big pep in her step before pushing the little balls into the den's walls.
