Mapledawn stretched out from her small nap and sat near the gathering of cats under the streamstone.

Fogcloud sat near the streamstone, tail wrapped around their paws.

Slatestripe looked up from where he was finishing his meal by the prey pile. This would be RiverClan’s first meeting under Pikestar! Excitement surged through his pelt as he got to his paws. He briskly padded over to the Streamstone and sat near Bluepaw and Otterfluff.

Slatestripe glanced over as a chipper Suntalon bounced over to him. He nodded in agreement at her first sentiment, before becoming more thoughtful at her second. “He’s been a better leader than Skystar so far, but we’ll see how he shapes up over the long term.”

Troutstone joined the meeting and sat down. He thought the leader looked a little tired, but it may have been the light. No, he definatly seemed droopier than normal.

Slatestripe nodded. “There’s certainly nothing wrong with being hopeful. Hope can be a good, comforting thing, especially given all that RiverClan has gone through in these recent times.”
