A Needle and Soot

The young, silver molly sat there, thinking of any chaos that she could cause. Then she saw it. Sootpaw. She sneakly crept behind him then shouted. "SOOTPAW!!"

He had to admit, his day wasn’t the best. Cranky from lack of sleep and rising early, he hadn’t filled his belly yet and he was still on his paws. He had wanted a relaxing moment in the clearing, and as such had sought out a quiet space with his piece of prey, a shrew, placing it on the ground before lowering himself to lay down. Curling his tail around his body felt nice, comforting even, considering it was warm and he could nuzzles his face into his fur once he was finished.

Though just as he had leaned down to take a bit, a voice cut him short and made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. Raising his attention from the shrew he had been watering over, Sootpaw’s icy blue eyes found Needlepaw behind him as her seemed rather unimpressed with the scare. Sitting up slightly to smooth down his fur, the tom spoke between licks “hi, Needlepaw, what’s up with you and sneaking up on other cats?” Tilting his head just slightly, Sootpaw watched this apprentice closely with raised brows as he awaited the mollys answer.

She hissed. Drat. She turned around and sat on a rock, hoping for him to come over so she could scare him again. Her eyes were darting around the forest, also looking for prey to catch and brag about.
