Fernshadow entered the den, tired from the day's work. Her ears twitched towards the voices of Swiftheart and Snowstorm. "Everything okay?" she whispered, inching her way towards them.
The cacophony of voices was finally dying down as Sparrowflight called for the vote on Firebird to occur first. The huge tabby tom had many thoughts on the presented issues after listening to the clan bicker, but he would bring those up after taking care of this dangerous cat. Outright attacking an apprentice at a Gathering? That was unacceptable, morally wrong, and completely against the warrior code as he had been taught it.
Rising to his paws, he knew the choice he would make for this vote was definite. He moved to the right side of the clearing and took a seat next to Buckbranch.

So much chaos in such a short span of time. Amber eyes darting back and forth, she could barely keep up with the conversation. Anger rising at the actions of both accused, she stood, tail lashing. She had many opinions to voice, but they were not about Firebird. That was a decision that she had come to easily. If the cat had been vicious enough to attack an apprentice of a different Clan who was to say they wouldn't attack one of the Thunderclan apprentices in a fit of rage? She quickly padded to the right side of the clearing and stood, her gaze fixed on those leading the meeting, or rather attempting to.

This was actually a pretty good turn out, circumstances aside. It was interesting to see the differences in reactions - some cats overjoyed at the thought, others neutral. And then there were the "never satisfied, always crabby" Batpaws and the fake-happy Birdpaws. He wasn't sure, specifically, why Birdpaw bothered to fake her excitement when she walked in grumpy. Oh well. He wished he cared more about how those two types felt, but unfortunately, he was Jaystride, and they chose to volunteer.
[ I vmed you regarding this. For the purpose of posting I'm assuming you intended for Clearfang and Clearpelt to be the same cats, but did not realize you submitted her as Clearfang. If this is wrong I will fix this.

Before Jaystride went into the assignments, taking note of requests, he recognized two cats that didn't belong. Clearpelt was a missing cat, he'd seen her around very occasionally, coming and going as she damn well pleased. Frustration flooded over him, his teeth gritted as he spoke to the her. "You have no right to assist with this: you keep ditching the Clan, returning without joining to act like you never left, and bailing again. Go by the camp entrance and wait there." He didn't want kick a queen out of camp, but he did want her to step aside for the duration of assignments. Where they went from there, he supposed they'd see. Jaystride would not be as forgiving toward the queen, her negligent behavior and carelessness didn't just impact herself. "I'll be speaking with you shortly - I hope you can explain yourself. Dapplekit, I'll find something for you to do." [ @Bean_The_Cat ]
To everyone else, he jumped into it.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: Sparrowflight's earlier repairs are holding well, but unfortunately recent rainfall has taken a number on other parts of the den. As you work on one section, part of the ceiling comes down on you! ] "Sparrowflight [ @Jayvines], Emberpaw [ @RiztheHuntress], and Duskpaw [ @Bean_The_Cat], you three will be taking the Elders' Den. Since you've already done some work on it, I trust you can make sure it's finished up." If anyone was going to do a thorough job, it'd be Sparrowflight. He wasn't surprised to hear she'd already gotten some of it done-- taking inititive seems right up her alley, and if cats jumped on things sooner they wouldn't need organized patrols.
In a weird way, he was kind of disappointed to see Shiningskies and Aspenstrike hadn't returned yet. Their childish departure had left a sour taste in his mouth, and frankly he didn't know why Aspenstrike thought she had the right to comment on Clan involvement. But his disposition toward them would've increased if they got over themselves and their dungy self-righteousness for the betterment of the Clan.
His plan with them would've been to put them on nursery duty, he thought they could've had some fun with that. At least it wasn't his loss.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: A nursery expansion is in order! Who says kids can't have a separate area to play games in? ] "Brightbriar [ @poppy.], Beastflame [ @Hopeless], Maplekit [ @flopsy], Goosekit [ @Bliss.] and Dapplekit [ @Bean_The_Cat], you five will be working on the nursery. Perhaps you two and the kids can find a way to spice it up in there?" As a young cat, he knew the nursery could feel suffocating and boring. Expanding it, adding secret little nooks for kits to play in.. something, could make it more appealing for the youth. What better way to brainstorm things than the very critters living within?
He was conflicted on what to do with the apprentices' den for a moment. Having a warrior touch it seemed wrong, but he had a plan in mind for a handful of the present apprentices already.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: If some of the centipedes from the pit got loose and invaded this new den, it definitely wasn't because of any of you ... ] "Since we don't have a den specifically for cats who need to be detained, or imprisoned, for any amount of time.. Cornpaw [ @sid], Rainpaw [ @starry.], Mistpaw [ @Jayvines], and Cloudypaw [ @poppy.], you four will be overseeing the creation of this den." Mistpaw seemed kind of shaken. Jaystride had hesitated briefly before assigning this task, he hoped placing her with her siblings might assuage some of the unease that rolled off her. "Do whatever you'd like with it." He didn't know about the blowout with Lightningpelt yet - it wasn't widespread throughout the Clan, but if any of the apprentices wanted to make the tom squirm for his actions this was a good opportunity.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: Under some debris in the back of the den, you find a mouse nest! Score! ..... Wait stop them, they're trying to escape!!!!! ] "Crowpaw [ @GoldenDays], Birdpaw [ @BirdieChirp], Finchpaw [ @Rogueheart], and Cardinalpaw [ @SoldierRise], you four will be taking care of the apprentices' den." At this rate, it could probably use an expansion, but he wasn't going to dictate what they did with their den. It wasn't his place to boss the Flight Crew around. He played with the idea of throwing Batpaw in the mix, but thought the crabcake's talents could be used elsewhere.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: With the den long abandoned, it seems moles have taken to tearing up the ground! What a mess... ] "Buckbranch [ @Slushie], it's been a while since you popped in your old den. Take Archkit [ @SoldierRise], Wishkit [ @Clock Dragonshifter], and Sandsmoke [ @AllSeer] and make sure it's still in working condition. I don't know if we'll be using it for a cat anytime soon, but at the very least we could repurpose it for.. prey storage, or sick cats." Hmm, it wasn't that bad of an idea. He'd probably talk to Cindersky or Sparrowflight about it later in more details, see what their thoughts were. Regardless, he didn't want their camp looking like trash in any form.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: Thankfully, your den's in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, some loose rubble on the ground causes one of you to trip and crash into the den wall, resulting in a sizable hole. Now you have your work cut out for you! ] "Sundust [ @Naiad], your den could use a pick-me-up. Why don't you take.. Wingtuft [ @puffball], Shallowshiver [ @Atticus], and Mothflight [ @Leafspeaker] and go from there?" Those three should be sufficient enough for whatever work Sundust needed.
Trying to keep track of what was left to do was harder than it looked. Someone owed him a freaking medal. "All we need now is the warriors' den, the camp wall, and resource patrols." The last one was more for anyone who didn't fit in nicely, he didn't anticipate half the Clan showing up for this. It was... weird, he guessed. In the sense that he hadn't seen the Clan come together this much in moons, and a good amount of these cats were ones who didn't get involved in the more political aspects of the Clan. They needed to find ways to bring the Clan together more outside Clan meetings.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: Drip, drip, drip! It appears the top of the warriors' den has water pooling on it, and it's dripping through the ceiling. What will you do? ] "Moosecrash [ @RiztheHuntress], Roseheart [ @flopsy], Violetshadow [ @Clock Dragonshifter], and Jaypelt [ @Bean_The_Cat], you four will be dealing with the warriors' den." He couldn't help but wonder what the hell the apprentices' would've done, if left to their own devices with this den. Something something soaked nests, he was pretty sure Nectarflame said. He didn't typically sleep in the den ... if he could avoid it, he wouldn't sleep at all, so he missed out on those shenanigans quite often. Sleeping was exhausting.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: As you're pulling on the brambles, you disturb a wasp nest. THEY ARE FURIOUS AT THE THOUGHT OF YOU DAMAGING THEIR HOME. ERADICATE. bzzz bzzz BZZZZ ] "Sleethound [ @sid], I thought you might enjoy this? Our camp wall has the defense capability of crowfood in its current state. Take Batpaw [ @Spotty], Softshadow [ @BirdieChirp], and Bitterice [ @SoldierRise], and do what you can to make it badass." He had no idea what they could do to make it slay, but hell, if anyone could do it, it was Sleethound.
That just left him with a few more cats. Cindersky already volunteered for materials, so from there it was pretty easy.
[ you know the drill ] "Cindersky [ @tulle], take Bumblepaw [ @Slushie] and Echosong [ @/Rockfall] and do your thing." She knew what she was doing, he didn't really think specification was necessary.
[ OPTIONAL PROMPT: You spy a bird's nest with some loose feathers, but the higher up you climb, the weaker the branches are. Is it worth it? ] "So you're with me, Bluefox [ @SoldierRise]. I'll deal with Clearpelt and then we'll head out to grab whatever looks useful." The thought of not being involved in the repairs directly was strange, but he didn't want to leave anyone out, and having five plus cats in one den was excessive. "You can get a headstart if you want, I'll try to be quick."
Jaystride started toward where he instructed Clearpelt to go. Hopefully she listened.

➢ “I, uh, was climbing a tree out in the hunting grounds, near the training cave..” They explained, watching the tomcat examine their injured paw, “Foxspring was teaching me how to get down and I was doing really well so far, I swear! But then my back paws lost their footing… somehow… and my claw got hooked in the bark of the tree.” She tried not to think about the image of her lone claw stuck up in that tree bark out there. The lone thought made her feel not so good inside. “...Is this gonna affect my training? Or my abilities… when I become a warrior?” Brightpaw couldn’t keep herself from asking these questions, but she was still rather hesitant to ask them regardless --- worried about what Sundust’s answer would be. She knew nothing of injuries or how serious (or non-serious) certain ones could be to a cat her age. At least Brightpaw came straight here after it happened, right? That was a good thing for sure. Her stomach did flips as she awaited his answer. They honestly wished that they could just do today over again, knowing what they know now, and go back out.
Sundust nodded as the apprentice began explaining. Ah, tree climbing, the bane of any medicine cat's existance. "I'm sure you were doing just fine. Tree climbing can be a tricky thing," he mewed. He himself was none too great at tree climbing; although he always blamed it on his size, it was quite plausible that he was simply clumsy.
He managed to refrain himself from chuckling at the apprentice's question, though amusement could be seen glinting in his peach-colored eyes. "Your training will resume as normal. Torn claws occur pretty frequently, and, thankfully, they typically won't affect your ability to preform warrior duties." The medicine cat began explaining as he moved to collect the herbs he needed. "It looks like it's been torn, so the claw likely won't grow back, but you've got three other perfectly fine ones on your paw, so it shouldn't affect you too much."
He began chewing up a marigold leaf, spitting it out once it became a paste and applying it to the injured paw. Once the injury was sufficiently covered, he took a small wad of cobwebs and wrapped the paw tightly. "Keep those cobwebs clean for a couple of days, after which you can remove them. Go easy on your duties for a bit, it's likely your paw will be sore for a couple of days and I don't want the bleeding to start again," he instructed. He took a step back to observe the newly-dressed paw, and gave a nod of satisfaction. "Otherwise, I think you're good to go."
Rosepaw gave the leg a closer look. She contemplated for a bit and then looked back at Sundust.
"I see that now, could still be misplaced though. I can dress the wound but if there's any misplaced bones, even if not broken, it'll be a first priority. |I'm going to clean the wounds and take a better look." she said, dabbing wet moss on the leg. She would have to be quick to refrain from causing pain.
Rosepaw was stressed as a general rule, but her heartrate spiked when she saw the desperate look on her patient's face. Oh, stars, not again. Not another crippling secret! Why was Cherrysnow so upset??? Rosepaw thought it over in a panic and guessed that, whoever the father was, wasn't a member of ThunderClan. Honestly, she didn't think anyone would care in ThunderClan, the code was out of the wall opening that Rosepaw would not know was called a window. But she wouldn't disrespect anyone's privacy. However, if something went wrong...Well, technically Sundust wasn't more knowledgeable than her...
"Oh, um, okay, uh, I won't tell anyone. I promise. I..." she said awkwardly, trying to calm the she-cat down.
"Ok, thank you." The calico bit her lip as she thought for a moment. "Is there anything I need to do? Or know? Or am I, um, good to go?" Cherrysnow just wanted to get into the forest and walk for a while, she needed to think, but she also wanted to make sure she did what she needed to to keep those kits healthy... her kits. Her kits. Oh Starclan.

Seeing most of the Clan come together was... shocking, to say the least. It had been quite some times since any amount of unification on such a large scale had been present in ThunderClan - regardless, it was a welcome change and one that twitched her lips into a soft smile. Despite the cacophony of the meeting last night, it was good that cats were choosing to focus on repairing and rebuilding their home with such fervor (well, some of them looks like they had several thorns in their side but they had volunteered, no?)
With a nod to Jaystride (and a subtle look towards him to go easy on the missing kit - even though part of her knew he would) the senior warrior turned to locate Echosong and Bumblepaw. Her relationship with the young tom was... fragile, to say the least. But perhaps he was finally starting to see that even though a majority of ThunderClan had failed to uphold their past promises, she did not intend on doing do.
"I figure we can head out towards the outer stretches of the territory to see if there are any patches of land worth cultivating for materials," she explained once the two of them showed. Even though Jaystride had placed her at the head of this patrol, that did not mean she lead it. As far as she was concerned, the cats placed with her were on equal ground, so her blue eyes glanced to each of them to await their input before they left the camp.
Hobbling his way into the den on three paws, the large tabby blinked to adjust his eyes to the light, gazing around. He was careful to not set down his fourth paw, he didn't want the cobwebs he had collected to become dirty. "Rosepaw? Are you here? I have cobwebs for you," he called out as softly as he could, but that didn't stop his deep voice from resounding in the shadows.
Rosepaw's ears perked up at the noises of someone coming in. She turned around, watching Moosecrash, a warrior she had little knowledge of, hobble in and provide her with cobwebs.
"Oh, thanks for that! Honestly, we always need more cobwebs. Of course we do, we life in DisasterClan." she mumbled, going to move the cobwebs to the storage.
(I can be the cat who will trip and smash a hole in the wall if you guys want)
Mothflight listened carefully. Alright. So I'm helping Sundust clean up the medicine cat's den? What about Rosepaw? The white queen looked at Sundust, Wingtuft, and Shallowshiver. "Well, Sundust. How shall we help?" She asked.

Maggotkit layed on the soft nursery bed, looking outside to all that was happening on her clan, and anxiously shivered in confusion and anxiety. She didn't know what was happening, but she just hoped everyone would be okay.
