Re: WindClan Breezerock
GOLDENHEART
open post Oh, what dreadful weather for a Gathering. Goldenheart exited from the Nursery, her nose wrinkling as water dripped onto it. The golden-and-white molly was technically a Warrior, she merely preferred to spend her time in the Nursery with the queens and kits. Her Warrior skills weren't as fine-tuned as her peers were. Deep down, she didn't really believe herself to be a Warrior. After all, she stumbled over her paws whenever she attempted to fight. At best, she couldn't keep up with prey. At worst? She frightened the prey away before she even got close enough to catch it.
Not wanting to draw attention to herself, she settled down at the edge of the Clearing. She didn't really feel like she belonged there. Every other cat had fought tooth and claw for WindClan's safety. Meanwhile, Goldenheart chose to stay in the Nursery, unless she was instructed to go on patrol. She knew how it had to look to her peers. She had to appear lazy. Her pelt burned with shame and she fixed her gaze onto her paws.
She allowed her thoughts to wander. What was the Meeting about? Was it another battle? Had the patrols found something that wasn't supposed to be there? Had a Clanmate passed away? Oh, she prayed that it wasn't anything like that. Mainly, she was fretting about a battle. If it came down to it, she would fight, especially if she was chosen on a battle patrol. Of course, she was only thinking about the negative scenarios. It could only be something awful if Twilightstar was calling a Clan Meeting in the rain.

Re: WindClan Breezerock
(It's bothering me, so I gotta add it's not storming, I even stated that in Twi's post. It's literally just raining, so I'm not certain why the majority of the posts have a 'storm or brewing storm' in them. It's not going to storm just rain according to the actual weather. )
[Open]
Batglare padded out of the warrior's den, limp a bit more pronounced as he hissed irritatedly. Why must she call meetings in such infuriating weather? The old tom would have stayed seated in the warrior's den, but he actually had something he wanted to say at this meeting. He doubted he'd be taken seriously if he was stuck hiding in the warriors' den so into the rain it was. The massive brown and white tom stayed further away from the rest of the cats in the back. Sitting in the front caused problems for his shorter clanmates.

Leopardsong didn't normally come for meetings, most of them were usually boring, but considering that the last meeting she missed out on was rather important she sucked up her waning attention span and would sit for this one. Twilightstar looked like a wet stick, but aside from that, she didn't look all that troubled so the molly wondered what this meeting would be for. Probably bor- she meant normal clan stuff.

Another meeting. Icestorm loved the clan, but even he grew tired of meetings. It was just full of ceremonies and scoldings, or possibly threatening news. So, as to not bring attention, the silvery-tabby sat in the back, shoulders slumped as he got ready to zone out until something interesting was brought up in conversation.

Fallingkit darted out of the nursery to see what the meeting was about, though immediately tripped over a root and landed on his face. He screeched.

Re: WindClan Breezerock
Barkkit needed to make sure that her pelt was glossy, so she groomed it for a little bit and then heard Twilightstar's call, "Oh Twilightstar, it's such an honor to have you in my" She paused for a minute, "YOUR clan!" She mewed. She was a very vibrant and energetic cat, as kits usually are.

As the tom waited for the rest of the clan to gather, he spotted Leopardsong. He got up and walked over to her. "Why did this meeting have to be called in the rain?" He asked. He sat down next to her. He never had been the 'talking type'. I should have had a plan! he sat there, advoiding eye contact before turning to her. "How's it going?" He asked. Stupid, stupid stupid! Why would you say that, you couldn't keep silent for one meeting! He scooted away in embaresment.

Twilightstar was padding through the territory, she was done with her usual task of looking or their lost clanmates and was on her way home. Her thoughts were filled with her habitable thoughts, such as Dawnstar in ThunderClan, but that thought was pushed to the back of her head as she nearly ran into the tom standing near the entrance. "Twilightstorm, you're back." The leader backed up a bit before veering around the tom. "Where'd you go?" She questioned, looking him over for any signs of injury.

In an even tone, he licked his lips. "I was roaming the moors, in search for a hare, when a peculiar scent caught my attention. I followed it, and realized it was the mix of ShadowClan and ThunderClan, since they, y'know, kinda merged, and it lingered around both camps, and no I didn't cross borders, I just went to the borders, and yeah that's about it. Why was I gone so long? Well, no I wasn't lost, I know the territory pretty well, but then I smelled something foul and followed it, out of the territory, and to the twoleg place. Turns out it was just a sick fox and I found it's carcass by the road, along with some crows taking a liking to it's mangled body. The twoleg place is something I am unfamiliar with, so that's when I got lost. How'd I get out? Some ignorant kittypet led me out, invited me over for some of that weird rabbit poop food, since I was darn hungry, but I declined. That's about it. Sorry I was gone for so long, I will take any punishment. Also, it was inappropriate of me to come back with no prey, knowing that I was searching for food in the first place. And yes, I fed myself, and not my clan." He met his leaders gaze, unblinking. No disrespect. He thought, his clear green gaze meeting his leader's. A chill stroked his back, as if trying to mock-comfort him. It was trying to make him shiver, show some sort of weakness. No. I won't do it. He thought, ignoring his earlier thoughts on his disappearance being a strange phenomenon. He couldn't lie to himself anymore. He's been doing it too much lately, forcing himself to forget his own memories. Wow, he was really driving himself over the edge.
(Late response, my apologies. Do we have to restart? Or can we continue from here?)
|
(That's alright, no need to restart we can just continue)
Her tail twitched unhappily as Duskfire mentioned picking up the mixed scents of ThunderClan and ShadowClan at the border. The fact that the molly got her claws into another clan did not sit well with WindClan leader, but she forced down her irritation and listened to the rest of Duskfire's tale. Her green eyes sparked with confusion after Duskfire told her that he had gone to the border and that was that. The story took a turn as he changed the topic stating he picked up a strange scent, followed it out of the territory, found a dead fox, and got lost in the twolegs place. He had gotten out thanks to a kittypet and apparently been eating those disgusting dry pellets kittypets seemed so fond of.
So basically it sounded like he had gotten lost, and for some strange reason thought it'd be a good idea to go investigate a strange scent beyond the borders of their territory. Twilightstar didn't really get why cats did that if it wasn't inside their territory or nearby, but she supposes curiosity could be part of it. "While I don't fully understand why you thought it was a good idea to go sniffing scents outside of our territory, you're back and unharmed. I am glad that you decided not to lie to me." His story was a little strange, but that was probably because he had worded it oddly. She didn't get the same sense that she got when cats openly lied to her, that or she was just getting soft over time. "I want you to spend the day hunting, four pieces of prey should do. You can return to the clan and camp once you hunted and no prey for the day." The punishment wasn't all that steep, but fitting enough if you asked her.
(So we're done, I'll pull him out of the missing but you need to make sure you get the hunting post done. Mention me so I see it.)

Visit Whitefeather. Her long journey through the mountains and Twolegplaces was well enough, she met many good cats. But now she HAD to get back into the clan. She could even go to gatherings. Now it was time to speak to Twilightstar, the cat who had been leading for what, 24 moons now? I hope Twiightstar hasn't changed, She thought. She was getting closer to speaking. This was the camp she was born in(Well, she was born in the nursery but..). She would live here for the rest of her life. It was time to speak, hoping Twilightstar could hear her voice, "Twilightstar, it's me, Perchclaw. I have regained my sight, and I can move my leg again!"

(Alright, so I can't find Perch in the missing, so you can just reapply them to WindClan).

She didn't smell her, the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, she did see her though. At first, she mistook her for a clanmate due to the pelt, but upon closer inspection, Twilightstar picked up that it was another loner or outsider. One that was apparently injured, she must have just come out of a fight. She looked like trouble, but judging cats by their appearance wouldn't be very fair. "You're trespassing in my territory." The lilac-gray she-cat announced as she approached the outsider. It was hard for Twilightstar to tell if the she-cat was heavily injured or not, she looked filthy.

Shaking out her pelt as she walked through the moor, her green eye flashed with curiosity mixed with a hint of irritation as she found another outsider wandering her territory. The scent she emitted smelt like nerves over anything else, so obviously, Twilightstar would be needing to fight her. "You do know that you're not supposed to be here, right?" The leader meowed before bothering with introductions.

Re: WindClan Breezerock
~ WOLFFANG OF WINDCLAN ~
It was raining. Typical newleaf weather. Wolffang was currently inside the warriors' den, giving his smooth gray pelt a nice grooming. Even though he had rejected many of his mother's teachings - thank StarClan - he still had a little instinct in the back of his mind that told him to at least keep his fur presentable. He had given up on trying to soften up the fluff that covered the front of his neck and the entirety of his chest; that was always going to be a bit ragged and rough. But he could at least make the rest of himself look presentable. In the back of Wolffang's mind, he could imagine Rosebriar's critical gaze on him, commenting on every misplaced tuft of fur. The tiniest of smiles tugged on the corner of his mouth.
Although back then, she rarely needed to remind me. I always kept my pelt much sleeker... and my excess fluff was softer. Wolffang really missed Rosebriar. Now that he'd broken free of his... former mindset... he could see how flawed his sister was, and what other cats must think of her. However, he still loved her. She had been his sister, after all, and they had been incredibly close. Until I became deputy and she got mauled by the dogs. I didn't pay as much attention to her as I should've. Wolffang let out his breath in an exhale. That's in the past. I know now what I've done wrong, and if I let myself think about it too much, I might get lost in my thoughts like I did before. That didn't turn out good for anybody.
Although he still missed his sister...
A call coming from the clearing made Wolffang's big ears perk up. It wasn't a thunderous yowl, but it was loud enough to be heard over the light pitter-patter of the rain. Twilightstar. Peeking his head out of the warriors' den, feeling wet droplets flicked into his face, he saw the small lilac-gray shape of his leader sitting atop the Breezerock. Gray rainclouds covered the sky, and with the sheet of rain as an added bonus, the clearing looked shadowy and a bit distorted, in a way. Even though Wolffang could technically watch from the warriors' den, he didn't want to. It would be better if I was closer to the rock. Cats were already gathering there, anyway. It's nothing more than a bit of rain.
The well-muscled gray tom padded out of the warriors' den. Almost at once, cold, wet droplets struck his pelt. Its thickness and smoothness did help to keep some of the rain out, but he could still feel some of the wetness sink in. Wolffang's ear-tips flicked in annoyance. He hated getting wet. Rain was something that every cat had to live with, but he just... didn't like it. Whatever. Deal with it. Wolffang made his way to the gathering crowd. He couldn't help his bright yellow eyes flitting around the clearing, trying to seek out a certain she-cat. Leopardsong. Would she attend this meeting?
Wolffang was still trying to figure out his feelings for the leopard-printed she-cat. At first, she had just been a good friend... but now she definitely felt like something more. Wolffang felt weird around her in a way he somewhat understood, but also kinda didn't? It was confusing. He knew that the emotion was love, maybe, but he'd never felt that way before and it was so weird. Wolffang pushed these thoughts away. Now was not the time to dwell on it. He hesitantly sat down on the wet floor of the clearing, trying to look impassive at the uncomfortable feeling of cold and wet running through his pelt. Then he fixed his gaze on Twilightstar. I wonder what she has to say, especially if she's calling a meeting in rain like this.
He couldn't help his gaze flitting around and - there! Wolffang spotted Leopardsong's familiar snowy-white pelt in the rain and darkness; it stood out like a beacon. Hoping not to look weird or anything, the large tom rose to his paws and made his way over to her. You can just sit next to her or something. Try to look normal. He mentally shook himself. Great StarClan, Wolffang! Why are you thinking like this? This is Leopardsong. She's been your friend for a really long time... there's no reason in feeling awkward around her.
Of course, these thoughts did not do much to help the weird awkwardness that Wolffang kinda-didn't understand.
The dappled gray tom stopped beside Leopardsong. By now, the rain had sunk further into his pelt. He fluffed it out to try and protect himself from getting more soaked, although he was confident that by the end of this meeting, he would be, well, soaked. "Hello, Leopardsong," he meowed as casually as he could with a slight dip of his head. "Mind if I sit here?" Thank StarClan, his voice sounded normal. If he tried to explain his very weird emotions in front of the entire Clan - or just to Leopardsong - he wasn't exactly sure what he would do. Surely this isn't what being in love is like. It's just too weird. And if I am falling in love, why did it happen now and not sooner? It was such a weird emotion, and he really really really liked Leopardsong, but his emotions were so weird and he had absolutely no idea how to handle them. So he just stood there, trying to look normal, waiting for Leopardsong's response more nervously than he should be.

Re: WindClan Breezerock
[ @ Leafspeaker - hehe yeah! there are elder trees/bushes/berries/flowers (: ]
Success! As Tigerpaw hastened to Eldersky's side, as worried as a nearly-caught mouse, satisfaction blooms in the sick queen's chest. She wouldn't let it show though. "I've been cooped up in this wretched den for days now and really need a conversation partner today. You look fun. Let's start off with the obvious, shall we? What happened to your eye there?" For a split second her eyes dart to the warrior who had been with this apprentice, and her former satisfaction churns into something more resentful. Hopefully Tigerpaw would be left alone.
