Mothpetal trotted outside the warriors den. She stretched and yawned, then went over to greet Saltpaw, whom she saw standing outside the apprentices den. She had been granted both Saltpaw and Pepperpaw, twins, as her apprentices. "Good morning Saltpaw," she mewed.

Mothpetal smiled, amused at the apprentices excitement and remembering her own when she started training. "Yes we are!" she mewed. "We have much to do before you will become a warrior, but you will be there in no time, trust me". The she-cat smiled warmly at the apprentice before turning around. "Well, first step is up to you," she purred. "What would you like to learn today Saltpaw?"

Mothpetal led the way through the forest to Smallpines, the border between ThunderClan and RiverClan. "This, Saltpaw, is our border with ThunderClan," Mothpetal mewed. The willows that overhung the border slowly transitoned into pine trees on the ThunderClan side. "Never go across the pines," Mothpetal mewed. "Beyond our willows is ThunderClan territory".

"Saltmeadow Marsh, our border with ShadowClan," Mothpetal mewed. The she-cat trotted away from the willows. Walking through the forest, the silence made her feel uneasy. No unfamiliar or dangerous smells were around, but the silence was eerie. "Sooo are you excited to be training with your twin?," Mothpetal mewed.

Saltpaw blinks, "Good question... I guess I am, I can't wait for gatherings! And I'm kinda stressed if we're gonna get attacked or no..." He looks at his mentor, "I know this is kinda weird but... Are you exited to... well mentor me?" He said lowering his ears. And smiled awkwardly.
