Make sure to congratulate Versailles on their promotion from c-mod in training to fully fledged chat moderator! They've worked very hard, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!
Newtbelly had been grooming his pelt under the shade of the Grimpeak, so, when patrols were called, he wasn't far. Fishbite leading a patrol, huh? That was interesting. He had faith in her ability to lead one, but Mistlewhisker's choice to place her as a patrol lead, above Flytail, surprised him. Would Flytail take that well? Newtbelly guessed not, after his bid for enforcer. The other choices were pretty standard - enforcers. He hadn't been called yet - was he on borders? Then Mistlewhisker spoke again. So he was on hunting - that was a relief. Mudslide, Bramblepaw and Shadepaw. Mudslide, despite her short-lived enforcer status, he hadn't even had a conversation with. Bramblepaw was an apprentice he liked - a keen hunter too. Shadepaw, he'd never met.
He spied out a black apprentice, assuming they were one of his. "Shadepaw, I take it? Have you had hunting training?" always an important question to ask.
Brams raised his head at the sound of his name. Patrol? Hunting patrol. To the Mourning Ruins. Weren't there owls there at one point? Well, the fact that Mistlewhisker made no mention of them now told him they weren't a concern any longer. Good. The golden tabby rose to his paws and strode over. Newtbelly he recognized, he had received training from the Enforcer before. He was a warrior that Bramblepaw felt he could trust. He walked up as Newtbelly addressed Shadepaw, giving only a small nod to both cats to indicate his presence. Not wanting to interrupt their conversation.
Smokefern had been finishing up a meal when Mistlewhisker made her calls. Ah, that was her name called for border patrols. That was the easier of the two patrols. Most of the time, anyways. As the gray and white she-cat padded over, eyes scanning for Silentmutter, she expected it to be an average patrol. Though she really didn't know much about her patrol mate.

Blackjaw's ears perked as he was called for patrols. Hunting at Dawning Woods. Thank the stars he could get out of camp and stretch. He needed to test out his hunting skills. Alongside two enforcers, one being the commander, at that. He hadn't interacted with either of them much of at all. Rookfire seemed a little egotistical, but they were ShadowClan cats so that did come with the territory. The tom dipped his head to Mistlewhisker and awaited his patrolmates.
rookfire had made his way towards the grimpeak as soon as mistlewhisker called for attention, expecting to be sent off on at least one patrol before the sun dipped behind the horizon line once more. he was right, with the oddest possible combination of cats but right none the less. blackjaw and venompaw were no surprise, simply a random selection of clanmates, hawkbite though? this was beginning to feel like they were evaluating rookfires worth again.
a small grin pulled at the edge of his maw, hearing hillstriders name fall after briarsplashs once more. as soon as it appeared though, it vanished again. silver eyes briefly scanning the clearing for more familiar faces before he let long limbs carry him towards blackjaw. without another word, rookfire nodded in blackjaws direction and settled, tail wrapped around his paws, to wait for the other two.
Hawkbite padded up to his mate's voice, winking in her direction if he caught her eye. For once, he didn't have to lead a patrol, and it was a nice thought. He just hoped Rookfire wouldn't suddenly vanish or falter enough to where he'd have to step in and take over. He'd enjoy a break.
The tom walked up to the other Enforcer, taking a seat and giving Blackjaw a quick nod of his head. A subtle greeting. He was here to get the patrol done and come home. Hopefully, Venompaw had gotten some training done already, otherwise Hawkbite would gladly step in and assist with that.
Owlthroat
he/him | Shadowclan Enforcer | 50 moons Killer Aptitude T3 - Just A Scratch - Silver Tongue T2 The Dancing Bird
Owlthroat trailed back into the clearing, the celandine and broom clutched in his maw. It didn’t take long to spot the healer. He’d taken a moment on his way back to search for Vixenpaw with little to no avail, must have slipped away somewhere before even making it out to territory. He was well and truly fed up with apprentices unable to enact their duties properly.
”Here’s what you wanted, I thought I might as well grab some myself, Vixenpaw seems to have slacked off into thin air.” His lips curled downwards with obvious displeasure. He hoped Sleepysunrise would come up with an apt name for the youngster. That or temporary exile, the season may be becoming bountiful but there are always more mouths to feed.
He’d give Mushroompaw a slight nod, at least one was able to complete their duties finally. He wouldn’t hold it against her, as long as he wasn’t left picking up her slack again.
Owlthroat sauntered his way over, he wouldn’t complain over a hunting patrol. In this weather it made for a nice outing. Just waiting now, for the others to arrive, ears twitching idly.
Mushroompaw kept up with Owlthroat with her mouth full of herbs. Vixenpaw was still missing and it still worried her, but maybe some warriors and enforcers will go and find him? What if he got lost, and got hurt by other clans or predators! There’s predators in the Dawning Woods, that’s what her mentor told her. For now, the russet apprentice made her way over to the medicine cat and dropped the herbs she was carrying off at Sleepysunrise’s paws. “Here you go! I found four! Is that enough?” She hopes so, but Mushroompaw wasnt sure if she could carry much more anyways, she could go back out if Owlthroat was willing. She doesn’t mind.
MOSSTANGLE
Shadowclan Enforcer | 20 moons | Large, dark brown-and-white tabby she-cat with green eyes
~~~
The dark tabby's ear flicked when she heard her name called. She heaved herself up and padded over to the Deputy, giving a nod before turning and waiting for Catfishchirp to show up. She wasn't about to complain about a patrol, even if her shoulder was still aching and her paw complained. It was just about healed up at this point. Probably her own lack of moving around that put the strain on her.
"The recluse." CATFISH CHIRP
He/Him - Warrior - Shadowclan
Mind Reader | Agatha kitty | Heightened perception (hearing)
CatfishChirp perked up from where he was sat, a patrol? A border patrol specifically, with one other cat. He was slow to find the one leading the patrol, having to squint and pick apart the blurry figures Infront of him- but once he got closer he was much quicker in pinpointing where they were. Once he made his way over he waved his tail in greetings not wanting to slug through speaking until he needed to- it took him long enough to actually get here already which was embarrassing enough alone. He would have liked to go on a hunting patrol, he was significantly better at hunting than walking around a border. But a border patrol was just as good he supposed.
squirrelrise had been... tired recently. more so than usual. she's not quite sure if it's mental exhaustion, physical, or both. either way, she's glad she doesn't have to mull over it too long - ears swiveling at the sound of her name being called for a border patrol. for this patrol, it's her and wispypaw and she hopes this time there aren't any stray deathberries lingering about.
the russet molly stretches her limbs before padding near the camp exit, waiting for the apprentice.
Patrol! Hunting patrol!! Venompaw's tail swished ecstatically as Mistlewhisker finally placed her on an actual, super duper awesome mission patrol thingy!! Though her euphoria was quickly washed away as she realised who her patrolmates were. Old cats, booo! No fun! Who was she supposed to play with now?! Who cared if that wasn't the point of patrols, she was still disappointed!
Still a bit ruffled, the braided tabby ambled over toooo? Rookfire, Blackjaw and Hawkbite! Boring!!! No opinions, no thoughts. She'd only met Rookfire before and he was just eh. Not bothering with pleasantries she was quickly urging them to get a move on. "C'monnnn! Let's go!!"
