☾☽☾☽✿❀✿hollykit sighed as she tried to curl up, but feeling teeth in her scruff and another kit pulling her, she just gave up and let the other pull her "I don't feel like it...look at me! I'm 10 moons old and I'm still a kit...what if bumblestar skips me? I'm not cut out for this...I'm a..." she shuddered as she sighed, she did move though but she didn't look so happy...just miserable."I'm sorry..." she mewed in a low tone slumping a bit. her fur was still messy and she gave a weak attempt to lick her chest smooth. ✿❀✿☾☽☾☽

The chocolate point was nothing if not consistent. As in, whenever Angry called forth a clan meeting, he was consistently oh so coincidentally just about to head out on a solo hunting patrol. Too bad. So sad. Such is life. The tiny tyrant would live... he just had no interest in seeing who didn't. Nor in the crowds. Nor in the talking and too loud voices and general star worshipping central the whole camp became during these infernal little gatherings. As such, no sooner had he seen the tabby move towards her usual spot above the rest than his green eyes turned towards the entrance. Because wouldn't you know it? He was just about to go out hunting! Again... too bad. So sad. Such was life.
Close to the entrance, Sprucejumper could almost taste it. His freedom. His one way ticket out of here until the meeting had subsided. Look... he was going to bring back prey. It wasn't like he was going to be goofing off outside. Unfortunately for him, fate had other plans today, and a familiar, booming voice thundered his name, forcing his ears down flat on his skull as his blank expression deadpanned in earnest for once. Oh good... now the whole clan knew he was here. Just toss him into the badger pit head first next time. It was just a cruel game otherwise.
Head slowly turning towards the source of his current imprisonment, resigned to his current state of damnation, he blinked, confused for a moment as to who Quackers was when he saw her. THE ENEMY! Sitting right besides The Boulder. Oh... Oh good. Look. Nothing against The Boulder, of course. True, they hadn't really kept much in touch since the illness. And the former housecat had been fairly convinced the feline had grown bored of him by now and substituted him with new cats - as everyone tended to do in time, it was just as natural a thing as eating and breathing - but... seriously? Did they have to not only take away his chance to run away from this meeting, but put him besides the chattiest, loudest, most inquisitive apprentice in the whole clan? This betrayal was of the utmost despicable variety. And to think it came from The Boulder of all cats...
Dark ears twitching as Angry began calling out names - that he promptly faded out - the young tom sighed, silent footsteps guiding him through the crowd towards the large mountain of a cat and THE ENEMY, pointedly staring mostly at the former as he dipped his head in greeting and gingerly sat down close to them, making sure to keep some distance. Maybe the paw would ignore him today in favor of The Boulder? They were certainly happy go lucky and just as eager to talk as her. A match for the ages! Which meant he could go back to being ignored and unfortunately pretend to listen to the ceremonies of names that would inevitably change at least once more in these cats' lives... unless they died first, he supposed. Which seemed needlessly offensive. Imagine... not even having a proper name by the thunder cats' standards. Yes yes, died as a paw because their one remarkable feature was the fact that they were still training. Was enough to run a shudder down his spine.
I'll just never be a warrior. Like you. I'll never be Poppydance.
His visitor's words suddenly echoing in his mind at this thought, his gaze grew softer for a moment. Not even he had missed the sorrow in his imagined - denial was a powerful thing, even when you were certain it was there - visitor's voice at this admittance, and he wondered how many of the cats gathering here now would meet the same end. It was a suddenly much more somber occasion, and Sprucejumper's jaw set as his gaze regained it usual blank expression. Whatever. It had nothing to do with him... Everyone died. It was the one inevitability they all shared, whether you worshipped the stars or not.
Ten out of thirteen wasn't bad at all. Bumblestar let herself breathe a silent sigh of relief as Hollykit also finally made an appearance. That was good. It meant she wouldn't have to hunt the she-cat down later. Though... hm. Maybe her hesitance at her age would prove to be an issue. Hopefully not. She leaned over the edge of the Stormcrest to look down at the group.
“Until you finish up training, you’ll be Frostpaw, Ghostpaw, Drizzlepaw, Ivypaw, Rosepaw, Cicadapaw, Mallowpaw, Oakpaw, Honeypaw, and-”
A flicker of gray and green at the back of the crowd.
The last name died in Bumblestar’s throat as her eyes snapped toward it. It was gone before she could fully pick it out, but she didn’t need to have it in focus to know what it was. Who it belonged to.
She forced her hackles to lie flat. ‘He’s dead. He’s been dead. He isn’t here. He can’t be. Stop doing this to yourself. Get it the hell together. Don't break down in front of them again.’ How many times had she seen him now? She’d lost count. It had calmed down some when Mudhound had shown her the print at Thunderbird Cavern, reduced to spared glimpses and what she thought was his scent, but apparently it was back in full force today. He lingered at the edges of her vision like a bad omen. Bumblestar scraped her claws against the Stormcrest to keep from lashing out and tried to level out her breathing, finally croaking out, “and Hollypaw.”
She blanked for a moment. Mentors. They needed mentors. "Frostpaw, you're with Runningshadow. Ghostpaw, you're with Treetiger. Drizzlepaw, Risingstorm. Ivypaw, Nightwhisper. Rosepaw, Brackenclaw. Cicadapaw, with Pineblossom. Mallowpaw, Minnowtail. Oakpaw, Batmist. Honeypaw, Dappledmoon. Hollypaw, Dazecloud."
The pause she gave was more so for her to recollect herself than it was for the new apprentices to find their assignments before she finally moved on. He was there again, always just out of sight, gone before she could look. She clenched her jaw and tried to focus on the next portion.
“Nettlepaw, Beechpaw.” Bumblestar found them through the crowd. She was staying on the Stormcrest for these two - she didn’t trust her legs not to give out if she tried to descend. “Step up.”

Pineblossom's eyes widened at the call of her name. She finally was getting an apprentice. The queen's eyes landed on the young Cicadapaw, a mostly white tom with orange spots. Pineblossom padded over to him and touched her nose to his forehead. "Hello Cicadapaw," she mewed.

Guilt flashed in Beechpaw's eyes but there was nothing she could do about it... she did her training, it was her time to finally be a warrior and she'd earned it. She heard her name called and leaped to her paw, flashing Sagepaw a sympathetic smile
"Don't worry Sagepaw, I'll make sure that you'll be a warrior by the next meeting- I- I promise" She whispered, pressing her nose to Sagepaw's cheek before padding up to the front of the gathered cats. She looked around for Cloudedpaw and Mantispaw quickly before looking back up Bumblestar.

Ghostki- no Ghostpaw blinked as his new name had been spoken aloud and his mentor? Treetiger. Although he had never met the warrior, he was curious to speak to his mentor. He gazed around before spotting the molly, quickly padding over to her. "Hello," he meows with a soft smile.

Juniperkit gazed in awe at all of the kits becoming apprentices. "Wow..." She whispered. "Someday that'll be me up there. And my siblings." The silver and white tabby blinked large, clear green eyes, flicking her tail. This was cool! "Cricketleap! Mother! When can I become an apprentice?" The kit excitedly asked her mother.
