Yes! A patrol! Fishpaw padded up smiling as soon as she heard her name standing near the patrol place she waited for her patrol mates. She was ready to go.

Pondlily’s ears perked up as she heard Sleepysunrise call her name, and she flashed the medicine cat a respectful nod in return as she scrambled to her paws.

Stretching each leg in turn and giving a yawn, the blue-gray mackerel tabby made her way into the center of the clearing to call out for her patrolmates.

“Quillpaw! Cloverpaw! Come on over so we can get going.”

Pondlily sat back on her haunches and waited for the apprentices to show. With a jolt, she realized that Quillpaw had been on the last patrol with her—a hunting patrol to Dawning Woods. Now they were both being sent back out to that same location—but to collect herbs instead of prey this time.

Both uprooted? Being a rather dim individual, Shrewstep took a few seconds to figure out what Sleepysunrise was yapping about. Burdock was what eventually gave him the clue to piece it together, because he mainly knew that as burdock root. So roots of both plants. Ok, he could do that. For sure! Totally! He knew what he was doing, and was a big (actually quite small), tough, strong man who could do this all on his own, with just the apprentices. It seemed like a lot of apprentices, actually. Though there shouldn't be any fighting involved, so it was probably fine.

You got it captain! he chirped, looking about for Duskpaw and Hawkpaw. Alright you two, let's roll! Perhaps he was being overly chipper, but he had found it occasionally put cats off in a rather intriguing way. Especially Shadowclan. And he found it a bit funny, so he kept doing it. Look at him, nice, small and nonthreatening. A great way to be, that. Kept him alive this long, might as well keep rolling with it. @c1nder @Star

Chickweed. What an odd name.

The enforcer padded up, her steps a bit less calculated than usual. She had just awoken from sleep, and she was certain it was shown not in her face, but rather her gait. She slogged up to the patrol place, observing the herbs through narrowed eyes. The marigold was familiar. But chickweed, she didn't recall that herb.

She then looked up and perked marbled ears, keeping watch for her two patrol mates.

Awh, man, really? A herb patrol of all? Couldn't it be more exciting and be a hunting patrol instead? Oh well. And it seemed like Duskpaw was with her, too! Great!! Just exactly what she was looking forward to!

"Burdock and boneset! Got it!" She chirped to Sleepysunrise before joining Shrewstep in waiting for Duskpaw to arrive. It had to be soon, right? How late could a cat possibly be??

another patrol. okay. the tabby apprentice slipped into the shadows as she stalked over, emerging and becoming visible once more behind pondlily. the heavily scarred cat didn't utter a word as they appeared - just making their presence known by sitting down by the patrol leader.

midnightsun had trotted over towards the smaller cat as soon as she called for patrols, fluffy tail curling in the air. confidence seemed to practically radiate off of the seasoned warrior and he gave mudslide a polite smile, swallowing jealousy bubbling up easily. she didnt matter. just a quiet cat falsely trusted with more than she could handle yep. he'd make a far better enforcer for sure. evergreen grotto for chickweed and marigold. the dark feline glanced at the herbs before craning his head to perhaps catch briarsplashs familiar pelt in the crows moving and chattering amongst themselves in the clearing. nothing. hm. "hey there" he threw at his patrolmates without much more to go off of before taking a seat in order to wait for hmm what was their name? moon..errr..shadow? ah, nightpaw.

roachflare snapped up from where he had been resting to hurry over as soon as his name was called, for some reason, r0okfires demotion sort of got him feeling as if he was save from anything herb related for a while. which was obviously not correct, and bug knew. still, he was a bit surprised to be sent out on his own with two apprentices. muddypaw and fishpaw. stars he did not know his clanmates. instead of searching for them, roachflare found his place vaguely close to sleepysunrise and decided to gaze at the two herbs for a moment. comfrey and broom. uprooted huh. roachflare couldnt lie he sort of liked digging, so besides the fact that the ear was hard (which was a plus in his books) this sounded pretty good. he briefly wondered where broom would grow but remained silent, round, mismatched eyes unmovingly staring at the herbs gathered by sleepysunrises paws. a cat whom bug hoped to be fishpaw appeared by him without much waiting

quillpaw's ears twitch, then swivel in the direction of his sister's voice. he's on a patrol, again, to dawning woods - and pondlily is a patrolmate, too. not that he pays much mind to her, or any of his patrolmates for that matter as of late.

rising from where he was sitting near the apprentices den, he stretches his long limbs before padding over. thankfully, sleepysunrise had left broom and chervil so they could all remember it's appearance. after doing so, he joins his patrolmates, simply regarding them with a half annoyed look.

Cloverpaw was the first to arrive, darting in and out of the shadows until the apprentice had settled at Pondlily’s side.

Quillpaw was next, clearly not pleased with being put on patrol judging by the look on his face. Pondlily said nothing in regards to the gray-black tom and instead stood to her paws, heading toward the camp exit after examining the broom and uprooted chervil that Sleepysunrise had left for them to see what they were gathering.

“Let’s go,” Pondlily mewed firmly to the two apprentices, heading out into the territory in the direction of Dawning Woods. The warrior glanced back over her shoulders occasionally to be sure that Cloverpaw and Quillpaw were following her, but that was about it.
