Mushroomfur shook his head. "StarClan wouldn't be mad at you, but you might be mad at yourself. You take them to surpress your hunger because it takes so long to get there, and you don't get time to stop and hunt" he mewed.

Alpinemoon wandered around the Clearing with ease. There was snow on the ground. The snow was just above the paws. Her paws felt cold and, it was her second bareleaf.

Chasmpaw was a bit hungry. She padded to the fresh-kill pile with happiness. Surely, there was some prey! But alas, there were no prey items left... Chasmpaw lowered her head in disappointment and turned away.

Forestivy listened in silence as Alpinepelt finished her tale. As Alpinepelt trailed off, though, and Forestivy's brain steadily processed the information, she felt her ears flatten instinctively. The she-cat scooted closer to Alpinepelt, their fur just shy of touching despite Forestivy's apprehension. Gathering her thoughts after another pause, she finally spoke.

"I…that's awful. And you've just been keeping it bottled up? Losing your family, being attacked…I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." Forestivy's voice was sincere, lined with sadness and sympathy. Being uprooted from your Clan and your family at a young age, being scarred for life; those were things you didn't outgrow. They stuck with to your fur like tar, a dark and dismal stain on a cat's mind. There was very little an inexperienced cat like Forestivy could say. So she awkwardly waited alongsided Alpinepelt, providing what little comfort she could via their proximity as she waited.

"it's fine.. It isn't your fault, it's just that the world can be so cruel sometimes." AlpinePelt purred, she knew Forestivy really cared, even though they barely knew each other, she still cared. "I bet they are watching from StarClan" AlpinePelt almost shed a tear as she stared into the sky, "thank you.." AlpinePelt whispered to Forestivy, tears started slowly dropping one by one onto the ground. She felt so embarrassed for silently breaking down infront of some stranger cat but she felt a strong sence of comfort, and a strong feeling that they are destined to be friends, it's like StarClan gave her something to help cope with the loss of her family. It's been moons but it still felt like it happened yesterday.

Pineblossom walked back into the camp with Tigerpelt. She felt oddly at peace with the bustling of Clan life like usual.

Tigerpelt padded into camp, quickly taking the prey to the fresh-kill pile, his ears perked up as he padded back over to Pineblossom. "Thanks for the walk," he says with a smile, his teeth glistening in the sun, clearly happy for what had happened.

Pineblossom smiled back at the tom. "Thank you for the company," she mewed. "Sorry about the trauma dumping," she gave a nervous laugh.

She purred as she touched his face with her own. Pineblossom tucked her paws underneath her as well and began to doze off in the sunlight.
