The calico toms ears shot up in surprise as his name was called up, he was becoming a warrior again? Mossypaw got up from sitting in the middle of the crowd and excused his way through. Climbing up to the Streamstone Mossypaw puffed out his chest and raised his chin high. He was ready to become a warrior again.

"Mossypaw," Lionstar actually took a moment to savor his name.

"I'll be honest, I didn't think you'd pull it off after the meltdown you had when I last spoke to you. But, it appears you've recognized your mistake with Flowerpaw and have worked to better yourself from that, and I appreciate your diligence in proving yourself to be warrior material.

"Because of this, I believe you are due for a new name. From this moment on, you will be known as Mossyrose [ @Shimm]. You may still have thorns, Mossyrose, but you have blossomed from the asshole that stood below me a couple moons ago, and I'm proud to see you've taken control of your life once more."

With some mild amusement, he included: "You weren't wrong about Flowerpaw being difficult. Fortunately for us, she is no longer our problem as she decided she couldn't handle being told what to do and left. If you see her, feel free to knock her around the head a few times. I think that's the least you deserve after the headache she helped cause." Or kill her, he didn't care.

Once again, he'd allow a brief intermission before he moved onto the next ceremony. Although he wished.. more cats qualified, he was pretty certain he could only account for one new warrior this meeting.

Snowpaw raised her voice again, "Mossyrose! Mossyrose! Mossyrose!" she howled, cheering on the tom. @Shimm

Badgerpaw once again chanted the name, still hiding a bit towards the edge of the crowd.

Dawncloud tilted her head then in thought as the topic changed back to the Thunderclan/Shadowclan issue.

"There was a gathering a few moons back that got into it. But it really boiled down to whatever Duskstar had said to Icestar to break the alliance offended her and her pride enough to warrant her wanting to attack Thunderclan in retaliation." She sighed then and furrowed her brow.

"And then Lionstar felt the need to hit Shadowclan back...And as much as I think a probmlem should be dealt with quickly and decisively, we really had no place to be part of their dispute. Cats were lost on both sides from all three on our clans." The blue molly shook her head then and turned back to Spiderpaw to give them a reassuring look.

"Things have been relatively quite after that though."

"'ya think that kind of introduction would work?? ah, well i guess i'll never really know until i test it out! thanks for the advice, dawncloud!" she exclaimed, coming to the conclusion that she had to start somewhere, and what better place to start than by being herself? that's right; there was no better place to start.

hmmm, she wondered. "ah, of course. pride. tis' a fragile thing," spiderpaw commented, imitating an oldy elder voice. spiderpaw understood the whole thing, kind of. alliance broken, pride broken, attack taken. it seemed like that was all there was to it. what she didn't understand was why riverclan got involved.

she listened to dawncloud's next few sentences. oh, so she agreed--why'd riverclan get wrapped up in that mess? the apprentice was a bit confused, but she shrugged it off- it didn't matter now, it didn't really have anything to do with her. if that was what lionstar had deemed appropriate, she wouldn't question his choice, however questionable it appeared to be. "i'm glad it's all settled now, i guess," the cat said, "though things never really settle, from what i remember."

spiderpaw took a pause. she was running out of sentences to say and words to use. man, keeping conversations going sometimes was difficult, unless you were talking to the right person. "so.. what's your favorite type of prey? you can tell a lot about someone from their favorite food, y'know," spiderpaw said, not realizing that she was completely straying from any related topics. food was always a great distraction.

"wait, actually, no, don't answer that. well, you can answer that if you really want to, but you don't have to answer that, because i have another question. what do you like to do? i know that kind of sounds general and all, but i mean, i guess i should start learning about you because i'm going to be talking to you a lot. maybe. probably. actually wait, don't answer that question either, i have a different question. if you had any one big goal, what would it be? like, if you could accomplish any one thing, what would make you feel most complete?? i mean, i would never really know how to answer that question," spiderpaw rambled on and on, taking only quick, short breaths in between groups of words. half of her words were practically inaudible because of this- spiderpaw could only hope that dawncloud understood what she was trying to say.

before letting dawncloud answer anything, spiderpaw continued a bit of the chanting for the new warrior. afterwards, she looked expectantly at her mentor, prompting her for an answer.

Onepaw walked out to the streamstone. He looked around for his mentor Hailfire. He spoted the she cat and padded over and sat down beside her. "Hey Hailfire can we go training after the meeting?" Onepaw asked his mentor. @Slushie

That'd be great! Finchpaw answered with a light smile. This will take some getting used to the apprentice thought, noting how different Sootclaw was from Cobaltshade. He seemed nice, but was also the friend of her enemy. Though, she could admit her and Wormbite being enemies was quite petty, and her fault, now she just tried to avoid the Tom as much as she could. Finchpaw heard Lionstar speak her friends name, looks like he's a warrior, again, enjoyed that Mossypaw had gotten his new name, and regained his previous ranks, Finchpaw called out his name, " Mossyrose, Mossyrose, Mossyrose!"

Lightpaw joined in the cheering "Mossyrose! Mossyrose! Mossyrose!" Yet her mind was only half paying attention to the ceremony still at hand. Instead her eyes were watching Sunpaw who had spoken to his mentor and had seemingly settled down. Was that eye contact he'd made beforehand? Did Sunpaw want to talk to her? Lightpaw felt like a bad friend for not visiting him after her apprentice ceremony. But as the cheering for Mossyrose died down she decided to put her bad decisions from her past behind her and talk to him anyway. She slid up to the tom, still paling in size comparison. She was officially six moons old now, but still was really tiny. "Congratulations Sunpaw." She purred. "It must feel super nice to hear that finally."

After giving Mossyrose a moment, Lionstar went on.

"We have another ceremony taking place today, but before I go into that I want to make a quick announcement.

"While I intended on the tournament to be a final assessment for a couple of our apprentices, only one passed it.

"Because of this, Cottonpaw [ @Sparkling Bliss], you will be taking your final assessment with Silvershade [ @x ghostie]. Silvershade, please make sure his hunting and fighting skills are satisfactory and report to me or Sootfather when you're finished.

"As for the cat who has passed the assessment..

"Eveningpaw [ @Zesty Mango], please come forward."

To say Lionstar was surprised Eveningpaw caught up so quickly would be an understatement.

But his thoughts were for another time as he awaited her approach. Punctuality was important for this and he hoped she hadn't forgotten that in her absence.

"Mossyrose! Mossyrose!" the molly chanted as she paused her search for her apprentice to congratulate the new-ish warrior. She was sure she would find Smoke paw after the meeting, it was no worry.

Spiderpaw talked a mile a minute and maybe that sometimes made her hard to understand. She asked one question after another before she could even give an answer to the first and as annoying as that could probably be...Dawncloud enjoyed it. She liked the apprentices energy. Where she was calm and quiet, Spiderpaw was energetic and loud. And some times those kinds of opposites just worked. She'd always liked more talkative cats, it gave her time to listen and she was good at listening more than demanding things.

When the brown tabby finally well and truly exhausted herself and paused to catch her breath, the amber eyed warrior chuckled in good nature and pat the apprentice on the back as she sorted through the barrage of questions and information. She hummed.

"Lets see...I like vole and small fish and I like to listen to my clan mates and cat watch, and getting up early." she started. But the last question left her a bit speechless. One goal, anything she could accomplish.

The smile on her muzzle froze as she stared at the ground and thought of the queen that wasn't really her mother, resenting having to care for a replacement kit, her unanswered parentage. Does she even have siblings? Why was she just dumped on the boarder?

Dawncloud exhaled. Her one goal and greatest want in life was a thing she didn't see right to dump on her apprentice when it was an inncent enough question. Just another loaded one.

Spiderpaw appeared pretty good at picking out questions, thinking on it, that could come in handy when she's older.

Ah...but she does need to answer the last question asked. And Dawncloud was honest to a fault, but perhaps not the whole heavy truth should be laid bare.

"I suppose...The one thing I want the most to accomplish to feel complete...is to know who my parents are." she answered carefully.

"Now, right back at you, Spiderpaw," she shook away her meloncholy to face the tabby and steer away from herself for a time. "Favorite food, what do you like to do, and a goal you want to accomplish?"
