Rosepaw trotted into the warriors den. She wasn't too sure if she was allowed in here. It sure looked cool! After a bit of looking around, she saw her new mentor. Sunflowerflare. She seemed mean, but she couldn't have been meaner than that Darkraccon! Bah, he hit her a lot. Maybe it was because he was a tom, and that's what toms do to dumb she-cat like her. Stars, life was mean. After dropping back down to earth, she realized she had just been staring at her mentor for a good few seconds and her mentor had woken up. @Rowan

SunflowerFlare stirred, her remaining ear flicking as her single eye blinked open. She shifted, stretching her remaining limbs to work out the stiffness of sleep. It didn’t take long for her to notice a pair of eyes glued to her. A soft snort escaped her. "Well, you’re already off to a bold start." SunflowerFlare remarked, voice rough from sleep but tinged with sarcasm. "Staring at a sleeping cat isn’t usually how we start training."

She sat up, shaking off her drowsiness and fixing on RosePaw with a blank, yet harsh look—and SunflowerFlare raised a brow. "So, what brings you into the warriors’ den? Couldn’t wait to start your first lesson, or are you just lost?" Her tone was sharp, but not cruel, the kind of teasing that tested boundaries rather than broke them.

Oh yeah, she's gonna get hit the second she's alone with this cat. Rosepaw froze up. First day and she already was annoying her new mentor. This cat seemed so cool, and they probably hate their apprentice. "I-I'm sorry. I just wanted to get m-my training done. I'm sorry." You idiot. You pathetic idiot. She's probably going to turn you away in seconds. Stop apologizing, it makes you look more stupid than you already are. "I-I mean. I'm not sorry. I wanna be trained. Now." Perfect. Now you sound like an ass. @Rowan

SunflowerFlare blinked, her single brown eye narrowing as she processed the stumbling mess- RosePaw to be exact. The way the little apprentice flipped from apology to demand was…something. For a moment, SunflowerFlare just stared at her, unblinking, before letting out a soft scoff. “Right.” she finally spoke, her tone dry and laced with sarcasm. “Because demanding things from your mentor is definitely how you make a good first impression. Real smooth, RosePaw.”

She shifted, sitting up and stretching out her remaining legs, her missing hind leg making her movements slightly lopsided. “But hey, points for enthusiasm, I guess.” The older she-cat tilted her head, looking RosePaw up and down. She was already stiff as a stick and looked like she might die of her own awkwardness. Great.

“First lesson. Stop apologizing every other breath. It’s annoying, and you’ll just piss off everyone around you.” she said bluntly, getting to her paws fully. “Second lesson. If you want to be trained now, then you’d better be ready to work your tail off. No whining. No excuses. You in?”

Her gaze was sharp, but there was the faintest hint of amusement tugging at her expression. SunflowerFlare wasn’t about to go easy on this one—she’d test the little furball’s limits, but maybe, just maybe, she’d teach her how to stand on her own paws with confidence.
