"Mornin', Pebblesplash!"

The Lionheart, of course, was up bright and early- ready to get his day started. And what a day it would be. Pebblesplash had so kindly volunteered to help him with a small group of apprentices as he taught them how to swim today. While he was sure he could (probably) handle it, it definitely was a huge relief to have another set of eyes on them. Speaking of the apprentices...

"Featherpaw, Bristlepaw, Shallowpaw, and Starrypaw! Up and at 'em!" Brokenstream called as he thrust his head into the apprentices den. "Let's get you four well-versed in swimming before it becomes too cold."

Howdy everyone! As this is meant to be a "quick" lesson due to the amount of people participating, please try to have your character post at least once every 3 days. *you will NOT be penalized for not following this, as this is just meant to be fun and help out those who need training :3

I understand the holidays are very near, so it will most likely get hectic soon so please do not stress about this! This is just to make things continue to keep rolling so that this gets completed. That being said, try to stay in posting order and if the next person hasn't posted in 3 days, feel free to skip over them!

If you are no longer able to participate, let me know! I would also be more than happy to volunteer Brokenstream for a 1 on 1 session later for your character if needed ^^ )

Featherpaw was sleeping when she was interrupted by another cat. She raised her head sleepily. "Wha . . .?" she mewed softly. Oh. training. Something she had had nothing in. She then got up and shook her pelt out padded out of the apprentice's den and sat down outside. Swimming? She had never swam before, well . . . she had done nothing before . . . She looked around, waiting for the other cats to arrive

☘︎ Today was the day… Training! Although she wasn’t being trained- she was assisting in the training- Usually she liked to be in charge of stuff like this, but it was nice to not have to worry about roping everyone together and coming up with a lesson plan. A few days prior, she had overheard the lionheart talking about training some apprentices, and she basically jumped at the opportunity of helping out. To her surprise, she was welcomed to assist, so here she was on a chilly leafbare morning. The pale tortoiseshell tabby sat as the apprentices gathered, grooming herself while she had the chance to. The she-cat was excited.

Bristlepaw lifted his head up, groggily blinking the sleep away. "Training?" He mumbled. His ears perked up. "Training! Great!" He hopped out of his nest, padding out of the den and sitting down next to Featherpaw to wait.

An approving nod was given to the apprentices. Ah, it appeared Starrypaw wasn’t quite awake enough to join them yet. No matter- there was always next time. He hoped if this mini group training was successful, it would become a staple event he would hold. ”Alright, you lot, let’s get swimming!” The bengal gave an appreciative blink to Pebblesplash before turning and heading out of camp.

Finally! The river! Oh, how he loved to swim. Funny, seeing as he used to be so afraid of the water. But that didn’t matter now. ”Okay, Pebblesplash and I are going to wade to the other side of the river. The water will be shallow enough for you to walk to us, but try to practice paddling a little if you can.” He glanced at his teaching companion. ”Shallowpaw and Bristlepaw- I want you to make your way towards me.” Brokenstream glanced at Featherpaw. ”Featherpaw, make your way towards Pebblesplash.”

With that, the Lionheart slid into the river and waded to the other side, staring at the apprentices pointedly. ”Don’t be afraid- we won’t let anything bad happen to you.”

Featherpaw followed the group out of camp and to the river. 'It'll be shallow enough to walk?' Featherpaw thought. 'I'm quite small though . . .' she looked at the river. She was paying so much attention to the river she hadn't really heard the orders she was given. She shook her head. "M- make my was to Pebblesplash? O- okay". She stood at at the edge of the river, waiting.
