Sure, he may not be labeled as a Lionheart anymore…but honestly SeaBreeze said it perfectly. They really are just glorified errand boys. He wasn’t complaining or looking down on those who earn the rank, honestly good for them in proving themselves. It wasn’t a bad thing, but he didn’t need the rank to do good for the clan. And sure…many were grieving still, (ell he still way himself, but RiverClan had also met a lot of loss, and quite a few figured how to cope. He had to stop…just…moping and being hurt. Sure, he was destined to get roughed up after the coyotes, but he may as well train some youngins when he’s in good health, yeah? He got the cats approval beforehand, now it was time to do some extra good.

“RiverClan! Kits n’ apprentices!” he called, hoping to gain the attention of the cats first at least. “If ya wan’ some trainin’, get over t’ me! I’ll be trainin’ kits n’ untrained apprentices tha’ need stealth! Also head t’ me if ya need some battle trainin’.” Battle did seem to be a strong suit of his, so it couldn’t hurt. “Apprentices that need huntin’ trainin’ of any level, SeaBreeze will take th’ less trained of ya, while HeronEye will take the more advanced on the subjec’. ‘m open t’ warrior volunteers to chaperone the huntin’ lessons, but please leave th’ teachin’ t’ HeronEye and SeaBreeze, unless they ask you otherwise or give you a specific task.” he explained, hoping to set boundaries straight. “If anyone wan’s t’ help with stealth, head t’ me too, I could use an extra paw.”

Icepaw and Rosemarypaw and Snowykit all made their way over. Icepaw went right up to the front, excitedly whispering to himself as he went, Rosemarypaw stayed as far back as he could without seeming rude but the fur sticking up and smoothing down only to bristle again was a testament to Rosemarypaw’s nervousness, Snowykit curled up in a little ball, watching curiously under the fluff that is his giant tail.

Training? Finchpaw’s ears perked up, and he headed out to listen to Rowanmane. He and Spiraltail had finally began training, but Finchpaw still needed a lot.

Oh! A training event! That was just what he needed, actually. The apprentice made their way over, approaching Rowanmane. Stealth and battle.... Urrrgrghgh... They really didn't want to do battle, but they knew they had to get it over with. Better now than never.

Seabreeze walked up to the gathering of cats, there were quite a few apprentices already gathered up which was good for how little time has passed.. but it still wasn't quite the number he wished to be seeing. The former lionheart didn't really think much of it though, he's had his fair share of inactive apprentices despite his best effort. Rabbitpaw being the most damning, and that one hurt the most. Maybe because she had been in Seabreeze's exact paws when he was an apprentice. No time for memories now, Seabreeze was living in the present, thanks spiraling thoughts. He sat down in the crowd and offered Rowanmane his attention while the others gathered up and organized the event.

Heroneye watched as a few apprentices arrived. She was to teach some of them hunting for this event. She supposed she was getting used to training younger cats; her stomach didn't twist with uncertainty like it usually did. Still, that didn't mean she was completely confident; too much confidence often leads to failure, in her mind. And she would be teaching a relatively large group of cats, as opposed to the usual one or two at a time.

But... it would be fine, right? All the cats would be coming voluntarily, because they wanted to learn. Surely they wouldn't have any interest in causing trouble. She'd just have to wait for Rowanmane's cue and play her own part.
