Coyote nodded, humming softly as he shifted out of the way, watching carefully. It wasn't bad, however, it was definitely not perfect. The large tom thought for a moment before finally speaking

"Okay- so you just... threw yourself at me like a badger, which I suppose is a technique- but you need a little more..." The large rosette tabby tom furrowed his brows, motioning with his paw, unable to think of the proper word "mm- whatever- either way- I'm assuming you know the basic hunters crouch, the combat crouch is very similar to that"

Coyoteblossom demonstrated the crouch, pausing to think a moment "Alright... after that you may circle you opponent, unless they just jump at you but we'll- work on that later" The Shadowclan warrior said with a dry laugh, his tail flicking as he began to circle slowly, waiting for his apprentice to do the same.

He wasn't the best at combat but he was working on it, he'd talked to his former mentor about getting a combat lesson and that had gone fairly decent. The tom had been distracted lately, his kits were a pawfull, he was grateful for his sister's assistance. It was the only way he was able to be out here training his apprentice.

We are training combat not hunting because Berry already know how too hunt.

Berrypaw looked closly onhow Coyoteblossom was doing. He slowly tryed to copy the combat croutch and also took in the tip that it was nearly like the hunters croutch.
”Like this?@ he asked his mentor

Then He slowly started to citcle his mentor. ”Did i do right?” He asked his mentor couriously becsuse he wanted to be as perfect as possible. @seeingstars

Coy nodded "Good job!" He called out with a smile "You're doing great."

He hummed in thought before he shot forward, though not at full speed. Coyoteblossom lashed a large paw out at Berrypaw. If successful, his paw would strike her chest, He'd then dart to the side attempting to land a blow on her side.

"I want you to try repeating that on me- you're much smaller so you can also use that to your advantage as long as I can't grab ya'" He joked with a laugh and a flick of his tail.

”okay” he thout out loud when coyoteblossom told him how too do and when he tryed to save all of the information. Berrypaw again when down too the combat croutch and started looking at his ”enemy” after some time again he started circkeling in with a bit of space between them.

But from nowhere his Patience ended and he asked ”What do i jump on too the top of you ?” He slowly straightned his body and got up. He was actually learning it! He was learning combat, the last one! @seeingstars

Coyoteblossom thought for a moment "That or you could try to get between my legs and knock me off balance" He said with a nod "That only works on bigger opponents. I'd normally advise just aiming to land on the back of whoever's attacking, makes it hard for 'em to reach you" He said calmly, his eyes narrowing as he looked on at Berrypaw.

Berrypaw listen carfully i on What his mentor was saying. ”Okay i will try!” So he slowly continued too cirrcel him untill he got too coyoteblossoms back. He slowly put his wieght on the back legs and jumped.
