Stagheart chuckled, a low, rumbly sound as Daisykit came to the conclusion that she was being called pretty. Of course he had to admit their fur was pretty, so yeah, he'd let her take it like that. He nodded and smirked just a bit to confirm it.

"Yeah, can't recall there bein' a Daisy-somethin' for awhile now... not that I've ever been the best with names," he mused, the last part mostly for himself rather than the kit. "So I may not be the best for askin' Clan history reference 'n all that. But you 'n your siblings sure stand out anyway, that's for sure. Fur and otherwise," he added with an amused huff.

Daisykit purred gently, her eyes fixed on Stagheart. "My big sissy is a really cool apprentice! She told me she hopes I'll be your next apprentice" Daisykit mewed, "Sissy!" Daisykit meowed loudly, "Sissy sissy! I forgot to tell you! Guess what I did yesterday! Papa can hear to!" Daisykit meowed, not noticing she called Stagheart papa, once she did she stood looking confused. Daisykit wondered, did I call him papa? Well....... he is my father figure big sissy said. So papa it is! Daisykit concluded. Giving herself a tiny nod, she stood up and spun around in a circle, looking at her tail which hung beside her. "My tail is so loooooooong" Daisykit meowed, her blue eyes wide and round, similar to Willowpaw's when she got curious. "What do you mean otherwise? Like...... per....per....person-al-eeeee-tee." (personality)

Berrypaw padded back in with a single, glossy leaf between her jaws when Daisykit was calling her. She let out a muffled laugh from behind the leaf, setting it down next to the kit.

"Here, eat this for the pain — it tastes gross and won't work as well as poppy seeds, but we can't give those to you until you grow a little more." Then she settled on her haunches, glancing amusedly between Daisykit and Stagheart. "But yeah, go ahead... what is it?"

Stagheart's tail twitched at the idea of Daisykit being his apprentice; he wouldn't be surprised if Fadingstar honored that request. He wondered if she'd be as much of a promising pawful as her sister, perhaps even more spunky... when she called him Papa, however, he hesitated, going to correct her — but he didn't have the heart to, and in typical Daisykit fashion, she was already on another topic. He cleared his throat and nodded, deciding to gloss over it for now.

"Heh... personality. Yeah," he confirmed to her question, nodding his head once before glancing between her and Berrypaw. "But... go on, tell us your story. We're listenin'."

Daisykit waited until Berrypaw came, seeing the herb Daisykit gave a small whine of protest. "It's gonna be yucky!" Daisykit pouted, slapping her tail beside her, her eyes then lit up as both papa and sissy wanted to hear her story. "Oh oh oh! I can do this now! Sissy remember when it used to hurt me when I stood up? I can do it and it doesn't hurt now! I think it means I'm getting stronger!" Daisykit purred brightly, Daisykit's blue hues filled with happiness as she shared her new skill. The little grey Molly flipped down back into sitting, "But... sissy. Will I ever get better? You keep saying I do a good job and stuff but.... you never say that I'm doing better... and big brother said that it'll be hard for me to be a warrior let alone an apprentice." Daisykit pouted again, as she was focused on her new blabbing, Daisykit ate the leaf, not knowing until the discusting flavor seeped onto her tounge. "Ugh!" Daisykit growled, she wanted to spit but knew she would probably just have to eat another one, swallowing with a small gag Daisykit's eyes watered, "Water" She whimpered

Berrypaw's eyes softened as Daisykit started her rambling story; first she nodded proudly at Daisykit's progress, knowing it had been quite the happy day for both of them when the little kit could stand up straight without crying out in pain — she'd indeed been getting stronger, which was encouraging to the medicine cat apprentice.

Yet at her next words, Berrypaw hesitated, glancing down at the ground for a few moments. "You've... been improving. And I think we're gonna keep seeing improvements," she mewed optimistically, offering Daisykit a weak but reassuring smile. "Things will be... different, for you. Training might need to be modified, and you might overcome some challenges that others don't face, b-but... and we can't know for sure, but... I have hope that you'll become a great, strong warrior someday, despite all that. You just have to keep on resting up, doing the simple exercises we go over... and make sure you do what I tell you," she added in a slight purr, motioning to the bitter leaf that Daisykit almost spat out. And pray to StarClan for a miracle, the anxious apprentice added silently, though she'd never say those words aloud.

Stagheart glanced between the two of them, warmed by Berrypaw's words. She had grown so much since becoming a medicine cat apprentice... the role fit her well. Perhaps much better than any warrior role would've. He let out a huff of agreement and nodded, his eyes flicking to Daisykit. He couldn't have said it better... and honestly, he might've said it worse. Berrypaw was an anxious little thing, always stammering, but she certainly had her way with words when she was focused.

Daisykit watched Berrypaw as she spoke, nodding gently. "So...... I can still be a warrior! Yay!!" Daisykit mewed, flattening her little white ears and murmuring. "I don't like hurting cats though......" Daisykit pouted gently, as much pain as the little kits went through, it made it ten times harder for the little feline to inflict pain on others. "Do you think papa could help me train? Will my mentor understand? I don't want them to stop training me because it's to hard or something....." Daisykit mewed, giving a small limp as she spun herself around to lay down comfortably.

Daisykit remained silent for a moment, the silence a bit concerning as Daisykit was usually one to speak her mind. When Daisykit did, her tone was gentle and questioning, a hint of sadness in it. "Why did Sweetsap leave? Every sense I started eating fish she hasn't come to see me.... does she not like me anymore?.... I know a lot of the kits don't like me." Dasiykit mewed, seemingly blabbing questions to herself although her gaze rested on Berrypaw and Stagheart

Stagheart tilted his head slightly, hesitating before he answered her first few musings and questions. His large paws shuffled on the ground for a moment as he considered his words.

"Mentors are there to help ya through anythin' they can... they'll stay by your side, train ya, won't give up on ya. That's our job. And if I'm assigned to ya, you can bet I'll shape y'up into bein' a warrior — no doubt," he added assuredly, his voice low and gruff, yet still with a note of comfort as he attempted to sound optimistic.

Truthfully, Daisykit's condition would be... difficult to deal with, both for her and her mentor. But especially if it was him who'd be assigned, he wouldn't give up for a moment — at least for their family's sake, let alone the kit herself. She'd already been through so much at her young age...

When she drifted off to silence, both Berrypaw and Stagheart glanced at each other. Clearly, the thoughts had troubled the chatterbox kit to make her this quiet. Berrypaw hesitated, just about to say something, when Daisy spoke up again. Her gentle tone, somber and wistful, tugged on her heart, especially with a pang of... empathy. Her green gaze softened as she hummed a bit in thought, thinking of how to word this right.

"Sweetsap was nursing you, but since you can eat fish now, she doesn't need to come by to feed you. But maybe she'll visit more," she added with a slight encouraging smile. "She's a busy cat, I'm sure, but I know she liked you. Don't think she doesn't!"

As for Daisykit's last words... Berrypaw let out a sigh, some emotion briefly flitting across her green gaze. "I... I know how that feels," she mewed softly. "To feel like nobody likes you, that you're alone, that you're different.. I was the same way at your age. I wasn't born in RiverClan, y'know. I was found outside, abandoned all on my own... Stagheart found me and brought me in," she added, casting a weary smile at her father figure before returning her gaze to Daisykit. "For the longest time I felt so alone, so unaccepted because I wasn't Clanborn... but I realized after awhile that I was wrong. There are plenty of cats who'd love to get to know you, to be your friend... you just have to find them. Sometimes cats can be rude, but you just gotta brush them off, a-and... and keep moving."

She offered another sympathetic smile at the end, hoping her words reached the kit. It wasn't often that she spoke about her 'illegitimate' past, but right now, Daisykit could probably use a kindred soul... and luckily for her, Berrypaw had already been through it.

Daisykit blinked somberly, "So Sweetsap does like me?" Daisykit blinked, she'd layed down again as her hip was starting to ache, she shifted uncmofrtably although she didn't say her pain out loud. Daisykit listened and gave small nods, putting her head on Stagheart's big paw, her little grey head fitting perfectly as she looked up to Berrypaw. "Really? I thought you were born in Riverclan sense your my sissy and all.... was I born in Riverclan to?" Daisykit asked, her blue eyes innocently looking up at them. "You were disliked? How sissy? You take care of all of the warriors and cool cats." Daisykit questioned

He was more or less used to how physically affectionate Willowtail's family could be at this point, but it still could surprise him a bit; he'd grown up with little to none physical comfort except when he'd been very young, before his mother had passed. It was unfamiliar, but not necessarily bad. Especially since the kit needed it. So he let her rest there, grunting in agreement to her words.

"Mhm, she nursed you, after all... 'course she likes you," he reasoned with a slight upturn of his rumbly voice. "Clan life is just... busy, is all. You'll find that out when y'get to be an apprentice."

Berrypaw, meanwhile, smiled a bit at Daisykit's next question, curling her skinny tail over her small paws. "Yes, you were born in RiverClan. Your mother was too, from what I know. But I wasn't... I was born to some cats outside of the Clans. We call them outsiders — sometimes loners, or rogues... I... I was too young to remember anything about them."

At her question about being disliked, Berrypaw let out a slightly somber huff in thought before responding. "That was before I became an apprentice. When I was a kit... well, not all cats are fond of the non-Clanborn," she explained gently, trying to keep her tone light.

"They might think we're not as strong or capable, since we don't have warrior blood... and in my case, they were sort of right," she added with a slightly amused purr. "Because I wasn't doing too well on my warrior training, and it just so happened that Mistyshard was looking for an apprentice, so... I was chosen to be the next medicine cat. Which fits me much better, really... cats have treated me better ever since, realizing that even though I wasn't fit to be a warrior like they said... I could be something else for the Clan. We all have a place to belong, a place to fit in... and you'll find yours."

Daisykit watched Stagheart for a moment, innocent blue hues boaring into his face, before turning her head to Berrypaw. "I hope she likes me when I'm an apprentice to" Daisykit mewed, "It gets busier!? Sissy always has me doing excercise and stuff! It's sooooo busy!" Daisykit pouted. Rolling over to her back, keeping her head on Stagheart's paw. "My mom was born in Riverclan to? Then were was my dad born? big sissy said were only half Riverclan?" Daisykit asked, her eyes widening in wonder. "Oh... so you don't remember your..... oh" Daisy kit mewed, lowering her gaze for a moment, "Well! We and big sissy and big brother and papa are here! You will remember us? Right?" Daisykit asked, flicking her small but long tail side to side as she blinked in thought. "My place to fit in? How will I fit in if all other cats are all the same warriors and apprentices and stuff. If we all have the same position at one point, how will we do that!?" Daisykit whined, not completely understanding, so instead of asking she decided to whine. "You didn't do well with warrior training? What if I don't either.... then can I become a medicine cat? I wouldn't want to hurt cats anyways...." Daisykit mewed, thinking about how she felt pain on a daily basis ever sense she was born. She wouldn't want other cats to go through that for even a day! "Why didn't they respect you before? All that's different is where we were born, were still all cats" Daisykit huffed
