New Name: Nightwater
Reason for Joining: seeking refuge (and combat skills)
Obscurus : Black cat with white freckles, as well as white paws, underbelly, left ear and tail tip.
Panting with every step, Obscurus ran, running far and never looking back. Were they still being chased? Goodness, hopefully not. Obscurus' jet black fur was clotted and matted with berry-red blood. (this is not a pun) It was to be hoped they'd ended up in the right place; seeking refuge in a clan was a risky business, since there was the chance of nearly getting yourself killed by whoever found your grovelling annoying. But... the chance of being allowed a new home was also less than zero, and considering their situation, Obscurus decided to take the risk. Halting when they thought they had travelled far enough, all Obscurus needed to do was play the waiting game. In the meantime, however, Obscurus decided to take a rest that they 100% needed to reward themself with, keeping awake and alert for when a clan cat were to have found them.

Halloween padded around the murky forest. She was old, but she was going to find some cats no matter what.
Name: Snowflake
Age: 24 moons old
Gender: Female
Rank Request: Apprentice to Warrior
New Name: I would like to keep Snowflake
Reason for Joining: (My reasoning is I want to make her active) Her Reasoning: She has heard stories of the clan cats and she wants to join them and hopefully learn their ways.
Snowflake was sniffing around she wasn't sure where these cats were but she heard stories of them and also heard they were ferocious if you accidentally crossed their borders. Part of Snowflakes whiskers quivered at the thought of being attacked she wasn't exactly the strongest of fighters but she wanted to know. She already lived a life of a loner who cared for themselves the idea of joining a group who works together to care for each other well... That was just too much to pass up. She would catch the scent of a marshy scent but would stop and sit down assuming this was something like those borders she heard of. Snowflake wouldn't give these cats a reason to attack her if she could help it. The pure white long hair cat would tuck her fluffy tail around her paws as she sat there patiently she wanted to know what kind of cats could live out there in the forest.

When he lost his mother and his kin to a couple of humans, Bear ran away, and he ran and ran, until he found himself alone in the woods, just then, when he stopped to calm down, he remembered the stories of the strange cats that lived not like him and not like a kittypet, and with his heart aching, knowing the tales and the cats were the only thing he had left from his family, he promised himself he was going to join them, learn their culture, their way of life, and become a cat his mother could be proud of.

I used to be called Salamanderpaw ten moons ago, before my former ThunderClan Clanmates abandoned me and left me for the lynxes and foxes to find.´´
Salamander´s fluffy black tail swayed behind her for a moment before the calico ever so elegantly wrapped it around her black and dark ginger paws. ´´I will admit that it may have partly been my fault, since I had chased a butterfly out of camp,´´ Her ears drooped in shame. ´´However, I tripped over a tree root and hurt my hind paw. ThunderClan should have been more than able to find me, but I have realized that they never would have. Not if they hadn't cared, which I´ve grown to realize, as well.´´
´´Seeing as my mother had gone missing not too long before - and that ThunderClan wasn´t coming for me, I decided to head out into the outskirts and try my best to find her,´´ Salamander almost, almost winced at the mention of her mother. It had hurt to see Sunsplash´s bloody, broken body splayed out in the grass. Instead, the calico soothed herself with postive thoughts. ´´I did manage to find her, but...not in one piece, to say the least. She had been hit by a monster.´´
Salamander tipped her head to the side thoughtfully. ´´I had found a cat. They had healed my paw,´´ She gestured to her hind paw with her muzzle, which was fully healed and completely fine now. ´´However, I know that a story is not what you want to hear; so, here goes nothing.´´
The she-cat took a deep breath before speaking once more. ´´After ten moons living the life of a loner, I would like to request a place within the ranks of ShadowClan. I know what you might be thinking,´´ She added on, more quietly. ´´´She will never fit in,´ or ´She´ll never be good enough,´ but I would like to say that I am willing to learn ShadowClan´s ways, if you´ll have me. I may not be the best, but I promise that I will prove myself to you.´´
Dawnstar's eyes glanced at Rookfire as the tom joined her. Rarely did company arrive with joinings, but so long as he didn't disturb her she could care less about his presence. Back to the loner, it's smart of her not to try lying to the leader right away. However, Dawnstar swiftly found her story beyond foolish.
"You decided to break the rules, got yourself into trouble, and somehow fault ThunderClan for not trying to look for you? Do you have dung for brains? You ran out of your camp, hurt yourself, and abandoned your clan because ThunderClan didn't scramble to find you. All of the fault is yours." Dawnstar spat with a lashing tail.
"You're delusional if you honestly thought that any clan would drop everything they were doing to go find a dumbass who broke the rules. There are borders to patrol, herbs and prey to hunt, predators to fight, and apprentices to train. Clans can't be sending out patrols for every cat that disappears. Your willingness to throw away your loyalty over your actions disgusts me. Get the hell out of my sight, if I see you around here again you're dead."

" I used to live on the outskirts near a two leg place, as such I had to fight off kittypets a lot. So combat training won't be an issue. Plus I fought a fox once! "
They said, the scar on their flank now stuck out like a sore thumb.
" While I did lose the fight, I still survived it? "
They were trying to scramble for reasons, they had forgotten the one thing they had practiced over and over before they came to the clan's border. Yet she regained her composure and she tried not to show any weakness.
" My main reason for joining is because I need structure and a group to be loyal to until the day I die. "
They said as they tried to seem like they'd been doing this their entire life. They faced the facts that ever since their lover had joined a clan they'd be thriving, and Shadowclan seemed to align with her beliefs, at least with what they'd seen so far. So they decided to proceed with caution.
Oh, they were still talking. Dawnstar sighed loudly and reluctantly remained seated while listening to the cat prattle on. By the end of it, Dawnstar still found herself pretty bored with the whole thing. Their tale sounded like every other cat who tried to get into the clan. Dull.
"Well, that's wonderful and all, however, if all you're looking for is structure and a group there are three other clans you can try and join. I have no interest in taking you into ShadowClan." Her tone bordered hostility as she shooed the cat away. They were done here.

Reason for Joining: she would like to explore the ways of clan-life, along with needing protection from threats like other clans, foxes, badgers etc.
Sun paces through the forest, eyeing the tall-pines that rose up endlessly into the sky, in amazement and curiosity.
Mother herself had tried to climb a tree like that, and had lost her life in the process. She wasn't stupid enough to attempt it as well; and in a result Sun tore her eyes from the towering trees, settling her attention on other, less interesting things.
Such as the needles underpaw. What had placed them there? Squirrels? Birds? Maybe the giant hairless thin- Sun stops dead, cocking her head to one side as she heard the familiar scuttle of prey.
Lousy prey was it!, for it was noisy. she decided as she dropped down into a crouch, stalking forwards ever-so-slowly; Sun was barely a flash of golden fur as she shot forwards, discovering a plump blackbird in her jaws, which she eagerly devoured.
She rose up, having only just buried the long white bones that were the scraps of her meals.
It was only a little while later when she had finished grooming and had curled up in a lumpy, but exclusive sticks-and-feathers-only nest, situated in a makeshift maybe-den, which was located next to a tree, and sharp jutting rock which shielded her from the wind. Sun was off galavanting around in her dreams in no time.
What the hell was this? She moved smoothly as if gliding over the ground, her steps making no sound. The looming trees blanketed the monstrous-sized feline in their cold shadows as she came across the fresh scent of blood and found feathers littering the floor. There was a freshly dug mound of dirt; uncovering it showed her the whitish bones of prey, a bird from its limbs.
The stench of loner hung thickly in the air. A glance around and a few sniffs brought Dawnstar to her culprit. Asleep in a nest of twigs and feathers, near a tree and rock. The cat looked young with a pelt of gold, it's not the most alluring shade, but her den could use more pelts. The leader lifted a huge forepaw unsheathed equally large claws and proceeded to slam them into the kit's back, aiming right between her shoulder blades to pin her down.
"Awake?" She asked with a heavy frown on her muzzle. "I don't usually get prey thieves this young, but there's a first for everything I suppose." Warm anger heated her golden irises though her tone remained tepid. "Your scent is the only one I'm picking up on, trespasser, so you must be the only one who stole my prey."

They were like rats, kill one, and another one pops up. The dark tabby moved like a shadow weaving a route around trunks and bushes, tracking a scent. Someone had crossed over her border recently, near the outskirts. It stank like a loner.
The leader fluffed up her pelt and ignored the distracting smell of prey while leaping atop a stone. She slowly scanned the dense shadows, searching around brambles and trees until she spotted the inkling of white. After making out the silhouette of a cat, she leaped down and stealthily made her way towards them.
"You made your way pretty far into my home." The scarred clan's leader slowed her paws as she came up silently behind the black and white cat. "Now it's time to leave now." Dawnstar's tail twitched irritably behind her.

A frosty wind shook the branches of the pine trees, raining down thick green needles behind the massive she-cat that walked toward the border. Her bright golden irises glared at the outside reeking up her border with her filthy fear scent.
"You're going to attack predators running around smelling like that," Dawnstar warns with a light hiss. The massive feline dragged her claws across the forest floor and blinked slowly. "Who are you and why are reeking up my border?"

@Undertaker (My apologies, Im still kind of new at these things)
Bear ventured into the darkness of the unfamiliar land, he could feel the anxiety growing with each step he took, even with the singing of birds and bugs that called that place their home, he felt alone, like he was the only cat in that place and he was getting himself into something big and dangerous, but his desire to connect with the cats of his mother's tale was stronger than his fear, he was determined to understand them and become part of that story. His big paws sank deep into the muddy bits of the forest, but despite that, he continued walking, hoping to meet anything, or anyone, that could pinpoint him in the right direction.
Joining Form
Name: last known as Foxstep
Age: ~50 moons
Gender: male he/him
Rank Request: Warrior
New Name: Dogsnarl, dogwood, or redhound ur choice idm (:
Reason for Joining: it's cold outside and he's kinda lonely or whatever, he promised the wardens he'd try to get into a clan to redeem himself, and ShadowClan is the closest approximation to ThunderClan life to him (and all other clan joining is closed LOL)
Cold again. His winter coat isn't as fluffy as he preferred. The skin beneath it felt dry. So did his nose. The ponds weren't frozen over yet, though. Soon. And the snow, too.
Those things didn't worry him.
Lingering by the border like a sitting duck worried him more. Last time he was here, he was lucky to come across one measly warrior. His intentions now were...stressful. As in, Dawnstar might just skin him alive at the border stressful. He wouldn't be surprised. He figured, when it came to ShadowClan, to expect anything at all. Who knows what those cats did in the shadows.
Well, he knew they ate frogs, which was utterly detestable.
(Hah. You might have to get used to it, eh?)
A shudder trailed down his spine. Nope. No thanks.
He peered into the depths of the thick forest, squinting until the trunks blurred together in a mass of black and evergreen. A sigh escaped him as he blinked his vision clear. Was this a bad idea? he wondered. He eyed a quivering bramble bush with skepticism. It was too gloomy here. The sun's rays died on the pines before it could ever touch the soil here. Only the sharp scent of sap redeemed the land. It might've been an attack against his nose (definitely in the past), but it was better than stale air and dog fur.
At least he washed his fur more often than that damn hound did. He even groomed it properly so he didn't look like a mangled rat. He wasn't sure if that sort of thing mattered to ShadowClan; he saw many cats with worse pelts in the past, if you asked his opinion. Still, it was worth a shot. That one cat from before had looked at him strange, and that was enough convincing for him to salvage at least a shred of dignity. It hadn't mattered then because nobody would have seen him then.
Except for a few. He didn't think too hard about those moments. Right now he was doing better (read: pretending), so he only wanted to focus on the present.
When the only bird nearby, late to migrate, stopped chirping, his ears flicked back and stood on end. Here somebody comes now. He glanced down at his paws, making sure they hadn't somehow ended up on the wrong side of the border when he wasn't watching. Satisfied he wasn't having a terrible faux pas, he turned his gaze back to the dark all around. Not that he could really see anything. He probably wouldn't even get to see who his killer was before he died, would he?
That is, if he was killed. Probably wouldn't happen. It'd be funny, though. In a twisted way.
He bit his tongue reflexively. Catastrophizing was his favorite thing to do!- yet it remained a mystery why his muscles were so tense and his bones rigid. That scowl never left his face, as if everything was a headache-to-come. Though coming face-to-face with Dawnstar was certainly not helping him relax. He felt like a tiny egg caught between a fox's canines.
"Hi," he began dryly. Somehow, the embarrassment rose only now. If time travel was a concept cats could even grasp, telling his past self what he was doing now would have earned him a brand-new scar.
(C'mon, you can say it. You chose this, remember? Since you will never touch water ever? And you're too slow to hunt hares?)
He cleared his throat. "Do you have space for one more?" he asked. "I swear I'm not looking to cause trouble or anything." His white paw, somewhat darkened with loam, scraped at the soil beneath it absentmindedly. Whatever happened in the past, I'm a reformed kittycat now, he didn't say. It sounded too cliché to him. "I'm a good hunter, if that means anything to you. I can pull my own weight."

Snowflake would swivel her white ears as she heard the approach before her blue eyes would catch the cat in question. Snowflakes tail would twitch as she saw the She-cat walk forwards. Snowflake would however only dip her head to the cat courteously feeling like being polite could only aid her in her endeavors. Only after she'd shown the she-cat respect would Snowflake speak her voice was gentle and very soothing much like honey. Simultaneously her scent was also soft and sweet smelling which was very at odds with the swampy scent that wafted through the air. "My name is Snowflake I am a loner have been all my life despite my white fur I tend to manage to catch prey enough to survive. Lately I have heard stories of ferocious clan cats from other loners and kittypets I've met in my travels. I was curious if I'm honest. To be frank the idea of being a part of a group who helps each other survive to me sounds preferable to trying to live a life of solitude. I wouldn't say I'm the best at fighting and my hunting could use some work but I'm willing to learn what it takes if you would have me I would love to learn your ways and do what I can to pull my weight!" Snowflake would meow her voice gentle and soothing as honey her entire demeanor seemed soft as her fur. Despite Snowflake being a loner she kept her fur well kept lest it become unruly. @Undertaker
Obscurus' ears flicked in the muscular warrior's direction when she asked them to leave. "Wait," Obscurus blurted, following after the other cat, "Let me join you. I came here to seek refuge, and to learn how to properly fight. I can barely defend myself as is, and hopefully by joining a clan, I'll be able to work past that."
