"... Nothing."
It was a simple honesty in Foxbite's eyes as he found interest in his paws more than the gaze of the Wardens. "I am not going to pretend like I have anything special to bring to you. I am a cat who's made mistakes, like many; and allowed my hunger to consume me. None of that is unique or special.
"I don't request reincarnation for any purpose beyond my own selfish one. I am in hell. I placed myself within because though I was blind in my final actions, I was not blind in death.. and I couldn't bare to exist knowing those kids thought I ended up in StarClan. I thought maybe I could serve as a guardian in the dark, lure kids back to solid ground.. but I can't." Perhaps evil was too powerful, or perhaps he was too weak. Regardless.. "Reincarnation will destroy me, and make me a more productive version of myself. Not a boogeycat ShadowClan can use to scare their kits into behaving."
[ Foxbite was once a WindClan warrior named Darkbelly under Dapplestar, and later renamed Foxpudge by Blazingstar. His early life was very slothful in nature, but at one point he was killed as Darkbelly while defending a group of apprentices from a dog. He ended up in StarClan, resurrected on a whim, and found himself disenchanted with his previous existence as a nobody. Blazingstar renamed him to help give him a fresh start post-revival since he felt Darkbelly no longer fit him. As Foxpudge, he became a Dark Forest trainee and tried to overthrow WC leadership, killing Aspenwish in the process. When that failed, he was paroled and became close to Buttercupbreeze/Brightstar. He fell victim to the pesticides that caused hallucinations during the WindClan starvation arc. He became one of 3 WindClan cannibals due to desperation; his first kill was Dandelionkit, whom he thought was a rabbit. He then ate the body of Lightpath a Clan-mate, murdered at least 1 RiverClan cat, and killed/ate various outsiders even when WindClan had renewed prey. This is because he developed an addiction and actual prey no longer satisfied his hunger. When WindClan lost their home to coyotes under Twilightstar's new leadership, Foxpudge abandoned ship because he felt like WindClan couldn't be saved. He joined ShadowClan under Icestar, mutilated a ThunderClan warrior named Pinenose during the raid on TC camp, and was renamed Foxbite for his ferocity and brutality. Pinenose disabled him though; a wound she dealt him refused to heal and he was forced to retire as an elder. He tried to stop eating people, starving himself in the process, but eventually had a mental breakdown when a trio of kits entered the den and one got hurt. He mauled them, nearly killing them all in the process, and was fatally injured by Dawnstripe(Dawnstar). He managed to leave camp and die near the WindClan border but not before attempting autocannibalism. Post-death, because his end of life behavior was a result of his deteriorating mental state, his place in the afterlife was iffy but he opted himself to go to the Dark Forest as-to not cause unnecessary pain. His plan was to become a ward, discouraging young cats from training their and falling down the wrong path, but outside one cat he has not been active in dissuading cats. ]
"How touching." Brokenstar's voice was dry and bored. "Another cannibal, wrought with remorse and seeking a release. You made your nest when you chose to become a cannibal Darkbelly - the suffering you experience is yours and yours alone; it's the least you can do to make up to the cats you've murdered and eaten for your own gain." And that wasn't addressing how he killed Aspenwish on behalf of the Dark Forest; how he once followed their beliefs like a lost duckling, how it made little sense he'd want to scare cats off when a) he never really tried and b) he seemed down for it until he found consequence. It wasn't really that Brokenstar cared he was a little evil cat follower, he just didn't like what he felt was insincerity. "How do you think those kids would feel, if they knew you were walking the living once more? In any form? Dandelionkit, Whisperpaw, Snailpaw, Beechkit? You say you no longer wish to be some nighttime terror.. but you would be their living nightmare."

· · ────────────── · · "Evil will always win out against one who doesn't even try to dissuade it." A cool voice tip-toed on little grey paws out of the shadows beyond the "arena" of sorts where the two toms had already gathered. The small form of the long-dead kit emerged into the light, jaded blue eyes studying the latest beggar asking for new life. "You consistently attacked the youth of your clan, blinded by the madness of hunger and the addiction of cannibalism. I agree with Brokenstar. You are the boogey-cat and for good reason. Why would we let someone who instilled so much fear in the young lives of the clans walk amongst them again?"
A flicker of sympathy for Foxbite shone in the kit's eyes, but it was clouded by wariness. Her duty was to the young. The forgotten. The failed. Foxbite may have been a victim to the twoleg pesticides at first, but even as he abadonded WindClan for ShadowClan, he continued his rampage and ended his life by mauling more innocents. It was easy to hide behind his intentions for sending himself to the Dark Forest, but had he really learned?
This was an interesting one. The lilac point molly narrowed her eyes, listening as Foxbite spoke. This was an interesting one. Many mistakes, and he felt bad about them. But, he caused many deaths, including one of a kit. That was hard to avoid. "Kits. Apprentices. Young cats, you killed them. To eat." she hissed. Stars, she felt bad for the young ones. And to feast on them? "Why do you deserve another chance? What if you succumb to the same evil in your next life? More innocent lives taken. I agree with the other two - they will walk amongst the boogey-cat which they fear. Give me one good reason why you should get a new life."

Bogtumble wassss pretty sure he wasn't supposed to be here, with how horribly wrong his last visit was gone, and especially because this was not specifically his visit. But if they didn't want just anyone to waltz in here, they should say that!!
The old guy who looked like he'd taste like dirt was here again... and so was that other one, who said he'd looked interesting!! Oh boy, faces he knew and most definitely would not immediately resort to beating the crap out of him.
"IIIII think he should go!!" He pranced up beside the tiny one he didn't recognize. "It's not liked they'd even know! He'd be all... different. Still just as ugly, but a different ugly!! Even if he does remember, it'd be funny! Where's your humor? Yeah, big guy, I'm talking to you." He jabbed a paw in Brokenstar's direction, though didn't even THINK about getting close enough to touch. He'd like to keep his paws, thank you!!
The ugly guy did seem kinda familiar... didn't look edible, though, so it obviously wasn't worth using the little brain-power he had left to try to remember.
".. I know how Whisperpaw feels to know I exist in this form, is that not enough?" Foxbite's throat felt thick. "To know I can haunt their dreams, to follow them wherever they go - that alone is more damning than anything. In different flesh... if they know of the reincarnation, perhaps I would be their living nightmare. But with the right guidance, I could be their greatest friend! That.. is why I seek.. reincarnation. It gives me the opportunity to right those old wrongs without reopening old wounds. An opportunity is all I seek."
He grimaced back when Bogtumble barged in and started chattering. He knew this fella from their WindClan days, and bore a similar fate - though Foxbite considered himself far more sane. "Bogtumble, please. Now is not the time.. are you even supposed to be here?"
"Sounds more like a cop-out." A dismissive scoff from Brokenstar. "We've had cats made of sterner stuff, who've made less audacious choices, come through and be denied. I see no value in your request - it's a no from me." He glanced at the ladies. "You two can do what you'd like, but I don't think this self-serving cannibal is worth it." Maybe if Darkbelly had proven himself to be a pest that needed to be eradicated, or if he had more going for him.. but what did he have but his own pity?
Brokenstar whirled on Bogtumble, claws unsheathed with glittering eyes. "I've half a mind to twist you into the body of a kitten and throw you in the river. Would you like that, parasite? Trapped forever as a child?" He already acted half the part with how much of a pest he was.

· · ────────────── · · "Leave." The ice-cold voice of the smallest member of the conference sliced through the air towards Bogtumble. "You are not welcome, wanted, nor needed." What was with this fool and interfering with affairs of the council? Dewkit's stubby kitten tail lashed, but she paid no more attention to the beggar.
Returning her sharp gaze to Foxbite, Dewkit considered his words. His remorse was clear, but Dewkit did not care about remorse. She cared about the youth. "Reincarnation would wipe the knowledge of how you haunt innocents from your mind, freeing you from their lessons." She lifted her chin slightly. "You cannot rewrite the wounds you have gouged into the minds of young cats. Remain in your self-inflicted punishment. My answer is no."
Dewkit did not waste any more time before turning tail and leaving, a grace befitting of her tiny stature belaying just how old she really was.
Bogtumble's muzzle contorted into a grin and he danced away from Brokenstar with a high-pitched, nervous giggle. Dewkit was for the most part ignored; Foxbite, too, though he did have to wonder how exactly the tom knew his name. Food for thought at a later point, he supposed.
Regardless, Brokenstar made him twitchy. "Can't I offer my opinion? If you don't want parasites to be a bother, consider walling off the space," he hummed. Then he paused, and giggled again. "Of course, I'd just rip that one, too. Bye-bye!"
With a wild light in his eye, he turned tail and bolted before Brokenstar could make good on his threat.
