"Wannabe? What's that?" Whistlekit tilts her head back, curiously. What in Starclan was a wannabe? She'd never heard of that word before. Whistlekit immediately decides she likes Leopardkit; she seemed very interesting, using all sorts of new and funny words!
"That's why I'm telling the other kits to be careful." Whistlekit meows in reply. Her thoughts seem to wander off to something, before they snap back. She misses the ball, however, and it rolls off into another spot in the nursery.
Leopardkit They/she // Kit // Windclan // 4 moons
---------------------------------
Leopardkit had been deliberately trying to use words other kits would be more familiar with. A lot of her vocabulary was advanced for her age, due to the influence of her lost mother. Oh well.
"Wannabe. Like 'want to,' and 'be." It means you're trying to be something you're not. They're trying to be scary, but they aren't. The snowykits are wannabes." They explain this calmly, trying to mimic how their mother would have answered the question. With the ball now rolling off, Leopardkit sits back up and curls her tail around her legs.
"You're not a wannabe. I think you're neat, as far as I know. This is me complimenting you." The clarification she added was completely necessary, trust me bro.

Seedkit's reaction proved his point, she was weak or something like that. "and being nice is weak" he responded rolling his eyes. Jaggedkit took a step out of the nest and briefly stretched before turning to face his sister again. Puffing up his fur, he slightly lowered himself in crouch. Hunting crouch, pouncing crouch it was all the same. "come on, lets fight! I'll go easy on you and maybe you'll actually learn something useful." he wouldn't be rough housing to much with seedkit, definitely not like with his brother. What if he hurt by accident? Straws and cards would definitely gut him for that. "it'll be fun I swear! Please?"
Maybe asking nicely would work, now that he was fully awake he was itching for some action. Something to do, there was no frostkit in sight and he didn't feel like antagonizing someone just to brawl with them. Plus maybe he could get to know seedkit better? Who was he kidding he did care
Seedkit initially just frowned. “You’re a jerkface.” She pointed out as he stepped out of their nest. This wasn’t fair and she knew she wouldn’t really like fighting, either. It kind of frightened her. “Why fight, though? We could… We could talk an’ play clans! You can be the leader if you want, I don’t mind!" She insisted as she lowered herself into a similar crouch, mimicking her brother’s actions just in case he did decide to pounce on her, or something.

Shrikekit batted a little mossball between her two paws. Bored. She was bored. The nursery didn't have much exciting stuff today. Like friends! Playmates!! That's what she needed right now!
Poor poor pheasant. First the deputy had emerged from nowhere exiting a tunnel right into it and now it was being abused by some kittens. No dignity for the bird, even in death.
Wiggling the pheasant and its feathers around with a paw so the kittens could attack the moving target the tom chuckled, reply perhaps childishly "Yeah-uh! Yer Ma an' Pa dont much like small places like tunnels so while he'll face down a badger wit'out twitchin' Hawkfur shook like a kit when I taught him tunnelin' skills! Theres a good few cats in the clan like that, not all can handle the tunnels." Which was part of the reason their numbers were so few, on top of the difficulty of the training. But that was besides the point, Crowtooth had done his unclely duty of telling embarrassing about his siblings by bond to their children, now time to feed the beasts.
"Uh pheasant tastes like.... well fatty bird? Its good lemme get ya some. Egret ya got the right idea pluckin' the feathers but lemme help ya."
Reaching down the deputy efficiently set to work stripping the birds meaty side, depositing the soft downy feathers he'd removed into the kits nest nearby to provide some lovely plush bedding. He did do a brief detour on his bird shredding however to remove the long (longer then the kits at least) striped tail feathers and pass them over as the special toys they now were.
From there the mouth sized strips of meat he removed were offered, dangled and wiggled above the kittens heads in snapping range as he teased through the meat "Alrighty beasties its right there ya just gotta git it! Put those good jumpin' legs inta practice its just like leapin' fer a songbird in hunt." Bravebird when she was alive had legs like a spring board so these kits could have leaps for days they didnt even know about.
