YIKES. yikesyikesyikes. mumbleflight managed to get in another good claw at the slippery thing's neck, but he knew damn well this was a sticky situation to be in. no matter how it went, getting off of the thing would leave him real injured, so why not do as much damage as he could while he was on it? he bit into its neck, the taste of salty, bitter blood flowing into his throat. however, as he bit, stagheart was kicked hard and heavy by the otter, and that momentum threw the thunderclanner off. the otter turned and flung him to the ground.
a sticky situation indeed, mumble's brain helpfully provided him as his head cracked against the ground and colors exploded over his vision. he was half sure his skull had cracked, but he might as well be being dramatic. so he hauled himself to his paws, vision swimming and his limbs about to give out on him. he wasn't ready to go down quite yet though, and mumbleflight spat out some blood to the side (it could have been his, it could have been the otter's, he wasn't super sure) and he dipped his head in a sharp nod as seabreeze spoke.
' righ'- ' and his head felt really heavy, and his mouth full of cobwebs, but he held on to conciousness. ' i'm goin' t' go for 's belly. 'f it's anythin' like 's, it'll b' weak there. ' mumbleflight's eyes flickered over his two riverclan partners- stars above, what was he even doing- for approval, knowing they'd done more of this than he had.

Has Seabreeze ever mentioned how much he hates otters? Yes? Well let him just say that he hates the things because he actually doesn't care if he's already said that. The warrior growled, watching as the Thunderclan warrior got yeeted similarly to Seabreeze but wasn't so lucky on the landing- if he hadn't a head injury before, then he certainly did now. The observation more than confirmed by the slurred speech- The warrior winced, and it didn't take a medicine cat to know that something wasn't right. For now, the Riverclan warrior needed to focus, especially as Stagheart offered a cover and was dashing towards the creatures tail.
The former lionheart dashed into the fray once more, aiming to beeline right at the otter's flank in hopes of leaving it partially immobilized with the extent of Seabreeze's teeth and claws.

HAHah! Seabreeze's claws met flesh and his teeth tore, aiming to gore, though the otter's muscles flexed under him. It was distracted with its movements to throw off Stagheart before it could make way of getting rid of Seabreeze, allowing the tom to spill a fair amount of blood. Aw- The tom's thoughts were cut off with a wince as Stagheart was kicked roughly, and Seabreeze took that as cue to back away for a second for the next dash in.
[ D20: 2 + 2 ( Experience ) ] Fail! Owch ]
The otter squealed, turning on a dime to reach out with its front paws, its claws digging into Seabreeze's shoulders before he even had a second to think about dodging. Though he did find sick glee in the way it tumbled while trying to place weight on the limb that was still running red. OH- Pain pain pain pain pain... was this how Mudsmoke felt before falling to these things? Sheering, breath taking pain as its teeth latched onto Seabreeze, catching his cheek and chin before attempting to shake and wiggle. Tearing away some of his face flesh as it did so.
That was Seabreeze's flesh actually, thank you, get your own. He tore away and blinked away the fuzzy darkness around the edges of his vision, his shoulders burned- what was it? Couldn't handle Seab's good looks? Jealous? Even his enemies were obsessed with him.. hah.. he's totally lost a lot of blood, wowzers. The warrior bunny kicked, curling awkwardly to kick his hind legs into the otter's throat.
[ D20: 9 + 2 ( Experience ) ] Minor success ]
While it didn't really do much, the otter did let go and made a cough-like chatter sound- though Seabreeze didn't pay much attention, preferring to instead put enough distance to not get bit immediately again. Surely this otter couldn't keep going for much longer.
[ If this doesn't make sense then I am sorry, I'm not very good with fighting stuff... uhh anyways, are we supposed to kill the otter and if so wanna do that in the next couple posts? ]

Oof. Stagheart couldn't suppress the sympathy wince this time as he heard the crack of Mumbleflight's skull against the ground. His own head was still spinning, and his pawsteps staggered ungracefully as he blinked, trying to assess what was happening now. None of them were dead yet, which was good — but neither was the otter.
The large tabby warrior's eyes narrowed as he pushed off the pain as best as he could, zeroing in on the river otter. C'mon, he'd taken down one of these things before with less help... he could do it again... or was he just getting old?
At the very least, Stagheart's cover had let Seabreeze get a good hit in, and the otter was bleeding profusely now. Going for the belly... he settled his shaky gaze on Mumbleflight with a nod. "Tear it open... I'll try 'n hold it down for ya. That should end it," he huffed between pants to Seabreeze and Mumbleflight. It seemed like he was the largest cat here, and could hopefully provide enough size and weight to immobilize the otter enough. Just enough to make the killing blow.
With one last glance at his battling partners, Stagheart shook out the dizziness in his head haphazardly. It wouldn't be clean, not with his vision swimming like this, but it would have to do.
He lunged forward, taking advantage of the cough-like sound the otter made as it gasped for air after Seabreeze's kick. Similarly to how Mumbleflight was earlier, Stagheart wrapped his forepaws around its long neck, using his claws to hold onto the oily fur. Then his back legs wrapped around its stomach as best as he could, creating a sort of headlock and bodylock to hold the wriggly thing down with his body weight. Far from perfect, and it was thrashing much more than he'd like, but that was fine — he just needed it to keep its belly exposed.
It wouldn't last long, and the otter was already scrabbling at Stagheart's legs, shredding his skin and sending tabby fur flying — but the senior warrior held on, gritting his teeth as the stinging pain flooded through him. Had he been any less pain tolerant, he would've let go already. It was bad enough to make him bite back a yowl.
Stars above. It'd been a long time since he'd done something so crazy; he could practically feel Berryshine's eyes boring into him from across the way.
"Now!" He hissed, dark spots dotting his vision as he struggled to keep its belly nice and open for his fellow attackers. But this thing was so strong, even for him; He was about to let up in three... two...
