within the clearing, the kitten found herself staring at the cats both in front and around her. she oggled at them with wide-eyed curiosity, imagining what it might be like to be a warrior--to swim through the rivers that marked their territory and to hook her claws into smooth scales. it sounded like a dream. like one of hers that were wild and imaginative.
and so she would trot towards the closest warrior, asking them: "what's it like? being a warrior?"

Egretswoop
35 moons || RiverClan Warrior || She/her
The Sage
. . .
Egretswoop's blue eyes flicked up from her sleek coat when approached by the small kit. She paused her grooming momentarily to take a moment to consider the question at hand, gazing into the distance with a patient thoughtfulness.
"Being a warrior? Hm..." she wondered aloud. She then turned her attention back to the little one with a small smile. "Well, it's a big responsibility, to start. Warriors are responsible for obeying orders from the leader and deputy and all the Lionhearts, and are responsible for making themselves helpful in any way they can. Warriors must also always be prepared to jump into action when needed, if there ever happens to be a sudden invasion or conflict."
"But, you don't want to know about all that, do you? You'd rather here about the excitement, I assume." She mewed with a glimmer in her eyes and a soft smirk gracing her lips. "Being a warrior is exciting too. There are lots of tasks for us to complete. Hunting and fighting... But for we RiverClan cats, we're swimmers. We're able to cross fierce rivers. We're fishers too, big and small fish. But fishing requires a lot of patience. Sometimes you wait for a very long time to actually catch a fish." She explained. She supposed her description of warrior life wasn't very interesting, not for a kit at least. Egretswoop happened to be a bit more practical in that sense.
"And what's your name, little one? Mine is Egretswoop." She introduced politely with a flick of the tail.
