Berry can never leave the Seagrass fields!!! This is a separate rp from the one above!

Hearing that Berryshine was willing to go with Adderstrike out again to seagrass fields made Adderstrike purr softly. It was so nice to get out into the territory with another warrior and maybe... Another friend? Though thinking about that made a sudden lump in her stomach. It was hard. It was hard at times to talk to the medicine cat and suddenly it smacked her. Instead of processing this she swallowed the feeling down deeper into her gut and returned to a smile. She wanted more friends, she needed to ignore herself a little bit to do so. "This is going to be fun, a girls trip!" Adderstrike said cheerfully before she headed out to show the medicine cat the flowers.

Once they actually made it to the fields, Adderstrike took a deep breath to really soak in the fresh air. It smelt sweet as flowers were starting to really pop up. This was such a lovely time of year and this was the second time she got to enjoy it. She hoped to be able to enjoy it many more times. Having taken a moment to herself the warrior could feel herself loosen up. Maybe this is what she needed, just a break from all of it. All the drama, while still getting a chance to do some work. What a win win! With that she looked over to the medicine cat and gave her a true beaming smile. "Isn't it nice to just soak in that sweet newleaf air? Do you want to sit here with me for a little bit or would you like to find the flowers first?"

Part of Berryshine had always assumed that Adderstrike just didn't like the medicine den. Whether it be the warrior seemingly taking routes to avoid it, or to not go out of her way to speak to Berryshine unless absolutely necessary. Which was totally fine; the medic didn't mind. Not everyone had good experiences or was thrilled by pungent herbs, stale blood, and groans of pained cats.

So she was more than happy when the young warrior had asked to go back out after an herb patrol to collect more coltsfoot. For one, it was a kind offer; Berryshine could always use the help, and someone to walk with. On the other paw, it seemed like Adder was reaching out to Berry individually, and that felt good too. She'd always admired the tenacious young warrior's spirit, and felt safe walking alongside her as they cheerfully made their way to Berryshine's favorite territory spot: Seagrass Fields.

As Adderstrike mentioned, the air was sweet and refreshing. It made her green eyes brighten as she looked around, pleased by the sight of the fresh growth. It was enough to make even the jumpy medicine cat ease up; a warm, sunny day, newleaf's bounty, and a lovely sight in their territory... it was something worth being thankful for.

It seemed like she wasn't the only one infected by the good charm of the day. Berryshine glanced over to see Adderstrike looking perkier than usual, and the smile she received was bright like the sun. The medicine cat couldn't help but return it, a small purr lodged in her throat.

"I completely agree. I'm beginning to think i-it's my favorite season... it's truly a treat to watch the forest come back to life a-after so long and dull a leaf-bare." That felt metaphorical for her life recently, too; RiverClan's tumultuous history, a new era ushered in, then Cobwebstorm leaving... it all had felt dark and cold, like the grips of leaf-bare. But now, new hopes were on the horizon. Their Clan was rebuilding, hope was being seeded, and... perhaps there was a new apprentice, someone else she could trust with the Clan's health soon.

Soon...

But those were thoughts for later. For now, Berryshine met Adderstrike's eyes, flicking her tail. "Oh, I don't mind. Stopping to smell t-the flowers is part of the job," she meowed, a faint chuckle behind her words. Was that... a joke? The timid medic didn't often joke unless she was around family and friends. It wasn't often that she could (or would) loosen up a bit. But the nice day and friendly company showed more of her true personality than most cats got to see if they only visited her for injuries.

"Besides... i-it's a lovely view." The misty fields, the rippling seagrasses, all up high and overlooking the sea below... it was a favorite spot of hers, and not just for the herbs. Berryshine sat beside Adderstrike, gaze fixed towards the ocean, watching the sun glitter off the waves. "I say we enjoy it while we're out here, hm?"
