As Skystar approached the seastones, he still felt as if it wasn’t his role to be leading RiverClan to the gathering. A part of him still wanted to be by Kestrelstars side instead of being in his position all together. He supposed it couldn’t be helped however. As the moon shined down upon the stones, he took his place on his rock and took note of how RiverClan was the first to arrive. It was somewhat peaceful, with the other clans and the plants not talking and what not. He quite enjoyed the quiet atmosphere with the crickets in the background chirping their lives away. He took a deep breath and mentally prepared himself for all the new chaos this gathering would inevitably bring. Especially after RiverClan’s recent loss to ThunderClan, there would no doubt be a fair amount of tension between them which Skystar wasn’t looking forward to in the slightest.

RiverClan has arrived.

Once Riverclan had reached the Seastones, Spiderpaw sat down and let out a sigh. After the battle that had just occurred at Firefly Cove, he knew that the tension was going to be high. He wasn't looking forward to seeing Thunderclan at all, but knew it was inevitable at this point. With a simple flick of his tail, he looked around, searching for his friends and wondering where they were going to be seated.

The grey and black-furred tom shiftly awkwardly past a few cats and to a clear spot where he could sit. He had heard a lot about the recent battle, and he was wondering how it was going to be now that Riverclan and Thunderclan had to be peaceful with each other. He hoped that there would be no chaos at this Gathering, but something told him that it was probably going to happen anyway, no matter how much he wished it wouldn't.

Snowleap | Riverclan Deputy | He/Them

➢ Walking behind Skystar, along with many other Riverclan cats, the dark-furred deputy breathes out a sigh through his nose as he puts one paw in front of the other. It hadn’t been too long at all since their battle for Firefly Cove with Thunderclan and Snowleap could definitely still feel the ache in his body from the various wounds. However, he knew that it was his responsibility, just like Skystar, to be here to represent their clan. His right eye was shut tight, never to open again, but at least his left eye still worked perfectly fine, yeah? This would be his first gathering that he attended since he was named the new deputy of Riverclan. This'll be one hell of a first impression, sporting fresh wounds from battle and whatnot. Both of his apprentices, Bluepaw and Risingpaw, wouldn’t be here tonight -- or at least, he hoped not, given their conditions. Parting open their jaws, they released a tiresome yawn. Luckily, despite Snowleap’s brain feeling like utter mush, the oriental longhair knew that he needed to head to where the clan deputies sat and not where he usually did (which was often towards the back of the crowd). They were the first ones here tonight, so at least that made things better. Hopefully.

Turning his head to look at his mate, who had traveled beside him, he spared the orange-furred tomcat a loving smile. “I love you.” Snowleap murmured, touching noses with his lover before focusing back onto his important duties. He was unsure if the mates of deputies could sit with them, but he assumed not for obvious reasons, so for now, they would go separate ways. The tall tomcat spared a glance at the golden-furred tabby as the clan leader made his way up the seastone, but no words were exchanged as the deputy silently went over to where deputies sat. He gently sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws, closing his one eye and breathing one last calming sigh before letting himself relax. The sounds of crickets could be heard and the stars were twinkling brightly in the sky. He would enjoy this for as long as possible, before inevitably, this gathering (like the many before it) turned to utter chaos. Because stars forbid they all have a peaceful night.

It was that time again, the moon was high and bright in the sky. The slender lilac leader left the comforts of the moorland and led her clan into neutral territory. How many gatherings had she led now at the head of WindClan? Hmm, she couldn't think of the exact number right now, many seemed like a good enough number. The only green orb in her head was directed over her shoulder to make sure that her clan was keeping up as she brought them to the sandy beach.

Twilightstar wasn't looking forward to this moon's gathering, no doubt it would bring unnecessary bickering. Dawnstar had said herself that ShadowClan and WindClan had more or less in a stalemate, so Twilightstar was unconcerned about ShadowClan starting anything. RiverClan and ThunderClan however were a whole different problem. She had hoped that she hadn't dragged WindClan into their feud.

Beyond that, Twilightstar was really hoping that ThunderClan had a proper leader and deputy at this gathering. She's never seen a clan go as long as ThunderClan has without a leader or deputy, not only was it strange, it caused nothing but chaos. She refused to have a repeat of the last gathering, if ThunderClan came in and made a fool of themselves, they were either getting yeeted or WindClan was leaving early. She didn't need the drama.

The she-cat leaped up onto the Seastones and took a seat a tail length away from Skystar. Her wounds from her battle with Dawnstar for the Skyglade had all pretty much healed, she felt pins and needles once in a while when stretched or leaped, but all in all, Twilightstar had recovered well enough. She offered the RiverClan leader a dip of her head before meowing. "I've heard that you lost some of your clanmates in the fight for the Cove, I'll offer my condolences now while it still relatively quiet," Twilightstar said in a polite and understanding tone. The she-cat eye dropped down the tom with fresh battle wounds that settled at the base of the seastones with a hint of curiosity. Twilightstar drew her gaze away to watch as the rest of the clans poured in.

Saltpaw bounded into the clearing, giggling excitedly as her eyes flicked every which way. There was so much to see! So much to smell! She came to a dead stop, eyes wide as she beheld the giant stones which, presumably, the leaders sat atop. Impossibly, her eyes grew even wider as Skystar confirmed her theory and clambered to sit on the rock. "This is so cool," she whispered, awestruck.

➢ Keeping silent and doing her best to keep up with everyone else, the small fluffy apprentice walked alongside her best friend, making sure to keep him in her sights at every given moment so they wouldn’t get seperated in the crowd. The last gathering she had attended, the shecat had kept close to Kestrelstar and then Moonfrost. But now that he was gone and she was unsure if the warrior would be here, she didn’t want to be alone and chose to keep Spiderpaw company as best she could manage. Once her dear friend chose a spot to sit, Cloudpaw sat down beside him, leaning against the black-and-white apprentice without a second thought. She felt comfortable enough around him to do so and there was no hiding that. Cloudpaw felt guilt for not taking part in the battle like he had done, but she had no fighting experience whatsoever and feared that she would’ve died in a heartbeat in the fray. Looking up at the stars, she uttered a sigh. “The stars look pretty tonight.” Cloudpaw mewed, her voice a whisper to Spiderpaw as she kept close to him, their pelts against one another. He was the big brother she never had in her eyes.

So she's been alive for how many moons now and she's never ever been to one of these things before! A chunk short lilac she-cat with orange eyes was currently paying more attention to the sand she was on over the cats that were coming into the gathering. Lionpaw had stopped a bit off to the side near the waves to play in the sand on the beach. WindClan didn't have sand, like this as far as she knew. Maybe Spots knew where there was some sand somewhere in the territory? She'd ask her mentor later. The she-cat was currently digging up wet sand and plopping it down in a pile. She hadn't a clue what she was making, but the fact that as long as the sand wasn't super wet, it stuck together, reminded her of snow. Could she throw this stuff at cats? While contemplating whether her mother would yowl at her for it, she failed to take notice of the cat coming up behind her.

{ Stream’Paw quickly padded after his leader, gazing around the seastones; This would be his second gathering, would Fawn’Bounce be here? The silver tabby trotted into the clearing, taking a seat below the stones and noticing Spider’Paw, though Stream’Paw decided it would be best for Spider’Paw to have some alone time; Stream’Paw decided that if the white apprentice wanted to talk, he’d just walk up to her, and if he didn’t, that was fine. Stream’Paw pawed at the ground, not very excited to see ThunderClan at the gathering; Last time they had just caused chaos and ruined the gathering, plus, with the latest battle.. Tensions would be high.. }

Cindersky
Paws moved across the sand at a much steadier rate than they had compared to her walk home from the cove. After a bit of rest and healing with her injuries, Cindersky had managed get in a few quick stretches. The wounds along her back and across her muzzle were still fresh as ever though, and she forced herself to not wince when the breeze gently caressed the healing scars.

The entire walk here, only one comment had been ringing in her head. '...And whoever else has now decided to step in a pretend to try and lead things around here.'. It grated at her fur in a way that had the senior warrior convinced their were ants crawling in it. She had never wanted this; in all of her moons, she had been a dedicated, hardworking warrior - but someone who lead ThunderClan? Cindersky refuted the mere thought of that. If any cat in their presence was fit to take on such a role she would think it to be Sparrowflight, or Jaystride, or even Nectarflame. Not... her.

Luckily though, two of the three cats walked at her side as Seastones came into view. A quick glance at each of them allowed Cindersky to draw the strength she would need. Hopefully, they could all get through this gathering without much of the usual chaos (but that was wishful thinking, she knew).

Emerging onto the sand Cindersky allowed the coolness of the grains seep into her paw pads. It sent calming ripples up her forelegs and a deep breath brought in fresh air with a hint of salty ocean spray. Upon scenting the area it was clear that both WindClan and RiverClan had arrived. Cindersky had no intention of starting anything during a time of truce.

Looking back at Sparrowflight and Jaystride, she gave them a flick of her ear. "I say we all go up there to give the news for ThunderClan. I... do not wish to be up there just myself. But ThunderClan needs strong warriors to represent themselves, and they have that in you two." Maybe it was childish, but the words were still on a broken loop in her head despite reminders that if her, Sparrowflight, and Jaystride were not doing this, then perhaps no other cat in ThunderClan would. "Plus - more eyes watching the crowd means that if anyone from ThunderClan appears to be causing trouble like last time, they can be handled swiftly."

Her stubbed tail flicked as she approached the pile of large rocks. From the ground they appeared rather intimidating, and all her life she had watched from the sandy shoreline. Now, she would have to take a chance on the fact that the other leaders of high esteem up there would not find the ascention of them by cats who were not leaders disrespectful. Briefly, her gaze flickered to where Snowleap sat and she offered him a dip of her head.

Bunching her hind legs Cindersky sprang up onto one of the rocks that was situated a little below Twilightstar and Skystar. She twisted around, giving each leader a calm and respectful nod (disregarding whatever bad blood was between her and the RiverClan leader - after all, he and his Clan had lost cats just as they had).

"I want to apologize for the behavior of ThunderClan during the last gathering," Cindersky added, her words genuine and sincere as her gaze flickered between the two of them. "It will not happen again. My name is Cindersky, and this is Sparrowflight and Jaystride. We will be giving the announcements for ThunderClan tonight."

His first gathering! WHIPPPEEEE!!!!!!! It was so exciting! He had dreamed of this! Would Tulippaw be here?? Would Pinestrike?? He decided to calm down and just relax, things are supposed to be peaceful here. He missed his brother though, it was hard. He padded up to an apprentice that seemed a little bit older than him. He introduced himself, "Hello, I'm Barkpaw. I'm from WindClan, I just became an apprentice not too long ago, this is my first gathering, what is your name?" He asked the small apprentice.

{ Stream’Paw turned their sky-blue eyes to the younger apprentice that had bounded over. A WindClanner? And a new apprentice at that! The silver tabby smiled, tilting his head as her ears perked. The small bunny was so energetic, like Stream’Paw had been when they were a kit. Stream’Paw opened their eyes, opening their jaw in a greeting;

“Hey there, I’m Stream’Paw. This is my second Gathering,”
The RiverClan apprentice bragged eagerly, a chuckle escaping his maw as her tailed swayed back and forth. It was good to meet another apprentice, as they didn’t know many. Stream’Paw wasn’t completely certain of the relations between RiverClan and WindClan at the moment, but at a gathering it didn’t really matter; Unless it was ThunderClan, of course. }

This was the second Gathering she had come to and she was certain that this Gathering was going to be as boring as the last one. Her mind was set when she spotted the Riverclan cats at the Gathering. She was planning to sit by herself again when she spotted a familiar pelt close by. Midnightpaw let out a small sigh before heading over to her sister. She saw a pile of sand next to Lionpaw. She sat down close to her and sat there in silence before opening her maw to speak. "Hey Lionpaw. How have you been? We haven't talked in a while." She meowed. She didn't realize that the Thunderclan cats had arrived.

He let out a soft purr as Cloudpaw set next to him, and leaned his head against hers. His body become less tense the more he felt less alone. As Cloudpaw spoke, he looked up towards the sky. The stars sparkled like crystal shards across the sky, with the moon being a diamond that shone down on them all. The water also sparkled, but the dark depths below the surface gave him goosebumps. But, he soon got distracted by Thunderclan arriving at the Seastones. His ears flattened against his head as he tensed up again. The apprentice secretly hoped that Cloudpaw wouldn't notice it, but they were so close that it was probably obvious. To hopefully distract her, he nodded and gave her a forced smile.

" Yes, the stars are quite beautiful. "

As he spoke, his amber-hued gaze followed a warrior, who he recognized as Cindersky, go onto the Seastones with a few warriors. He glared at them, still furious about the fight, but decided to turn his attention elsewhere. The last thing Spiderpaw wanted was to make Cloudpaw upset, so he did his best to keep a positive mindset for her sake. She wasn't at the battle afterall, and thank god she wasn't. He wrapped his tail around the black and white molly and took some deep breaths.

Fallownose wove his way among the cats already at the Seastones as he padded into the Gathering after Twilightstar. ThunderClan arrived shortly after and he watched as one of the cats hopped up onto the Seastone. Perhaps they had finally gotten their act together and chosen a leader? Though no one made their way over to the deputy area which was a little disconcerting. Well, as long as they didn't behave like hare-brains and make a fool of themselves once again, Fallownose wouldn't complain.

The WindClan deputy leapt up to take a spot beside Snowleap and dipped his head in polite acknowledgement. "Greetings, Snowleap. I assumed you would be the new deputy since it was you who called for the retreat at the battle. It was a wise decision." Whatever was going on with Skystar, hopefully Fallownose would be able to make friends with the new deputy. He was glad that Snowleap seemed to be less battle hungry than Skystar, though perhaps he had just been angry about losing the territory. Only time would tell to see what kind of leader RiverClan had.

He looked up at the full moon. Always so gorgeous during the truce. Did it know cats were bickering underneath its grand light. If there was a Starclan was there a moonclan too? The thought almost made him laugh aloud. Moonclan. What would they be about? He tripped and almost fell flat on his muzzle, before he caught himself. Focus. Stay focused! He glanced around flattening his ears in embarrassment.

(Barkpaw, he/she/they, Male(FtM, 6 moons, Apprentice)

Barkpaw took notice of who was here, there was ThunderClan and RiverClan, Skystar and a she-cat who was leading ThunderClan with the dual deputies as Barkpaw thought. WindClan was also here of course, with Twilightstar and Fallownose on the rock. No medicine cats were here, but it seemed like they wouldn't be here for a while. He took notice of the other cats on the rock. There was Fallownose, of course, and Snowleap, who he heard about from his father. Also, the dual ThunderClan deputies(What were their names?)or so she though were on the rock. The leader and deputies seemed like nice cats, and didn't seem ruthless enough to try and take back Firefly Cove, from what he heard about from his dad. He hoped that ThunderClan wouldn't cause trouble this meeting. It was likely, considering this was a gathering. And gatherings are a time for peace.

He also noticed that ShadowClan wasn't here, from what he heard from his dad. ShadowClan didn't seem very nice, considering the recent Sky Glade battle. Some warrior, Hailstorm was it? Shouted bad things about WindClan because they had tried to take back the Sky Glade. They were surprised at this, but she didn't care, he was going to be a good WindClan warrior. PInestrike seemed like a nice mentor, she was young and kind of reminded her of her mother and brother. It's always nice when you have a good mentor to look up to. But every WindClan cat is nice, especially them, because he was going to be the best WindClan warrior!

Even though she knew Barkpaw was from WindClan, and that he was an apprentice, she really wanted to ask someone.

she/they - blue-grey molly with tabby markings and green eyes

So. This was it really, a moment that she'd probably be reflecting on for awhile post whatever happened. This moon's gathering, clanmates by her side- walking, walking on grainy sand that got caught in the she-cat's fur. Just like before, and before that- a memory overlapping into the present. Past details merging with the feels of the current full moon night, the white circle in the sky casting light onto the large rock. It ... was a strange time to say the least, in which part of Icicleripple was solely focused on the fact that she'd see the other medicine cats again. Snakeheart,, venomous words sharp sharp with pain, splintering pain. How happy was he to see her go? Did the older tom find joy in hearing of her death or had he learnt a lesson after all this time.

Then- the smallest about of joy that ThunderClan had truly showed their strength, the will of cats who she'd only knew moons ago. Those who had aged, been through even more challenges. But. There was always the fact that death was brought upon some soul whether innocent or not. Oh well, it seemed only time would tell how other .. clans (rushing river, flood of blood) told the tale. With Cindersky, Jaystride and Sparrowflight stepping up onto the Sea Stones, again emerged the feeling of a new tune being played. [ open ]

>> Acorndash
he/him - flame point siamese tom with sky blue eyes - TC warrior, former kittypet

As the former kittypet made his way towards the sandy beach, walking near the trail of the crowd. It seemed that no mater what, ThunderClan would find a way to make it through the moon. Even if.. this was only a slimmer of hope, wishes floating up into the sky. Hey, hey. They did make a way with the battle,, as much as Acorndash still disliked offensive fighting. Which was probably shown by the fact that he had decided to play a role of defense back in the clearing.. oh well, not too many cats had noticed. (hopefully?)

Eh. It seemed RiverClan and Windclan had already arrived, making them not the last which was good. As some of the more .. proactive members of ThunderClan stepped up, he just gave a slight nod. [ open ]

A Gathering! Tulippaw had only just become an apprentice, so she hadn't gotten any training. She hadn't even been outside before this. But she knew that Gatherings were incredibly important, and since they were important, she was on her absolute best behavior. She had spent extra time grooming her fur so it shone even more than it usually did and her posture was perfect. She stepped elegantly into the Gathering place and looked around. A disgusting scent hit her nostrils. Ick! It smelled like fish mixed with other things that Tulippaw didn't recognize. Tulippaw's small pink nose wrinkled at it. There were a bunch of unfamiliar cats here. They must be from one of the other Clans. Which Clan would smell like fish...? Oh, RiverClan! It had to be. Tulippaw had heard about how they swam in the river and ate fish. Disgusting! WindClan was obviously so much better.

Tulippaw reset her expression to a delightful friendly one and padded farther into the group of cats. Her vivid green eyes scanned the crowd. Surely everyone, no matter which Clan they were from, would gawk at her endless beauty. Tulippaw was more beautiful than any cat from all four Clans, she knew it! They would all admire her. Except cats who wanted to be her enemy and who couldn't admit that she - and WindClan - were so much better than them. The calico she-cat sat down, wrapping her fluffed tail around her paws and holding her head high. Her sleek pelt gleamed in the moonlight. Surely someone would approach a cat as beautiful as her.

Rabbitpaw - Post: 83

The Windclan apprentice followed behind Twilighstar and the rest of her clanmates to the gathering. It wasn't that long ago since the fight, so she was kind of expecting some clans might not show up. Well she was wring. Thunderclan and Riverclan were here. Sure Shadowclan wasn't, but they were always late. Rabbitpaw moved along and sat close to her clanmates. She really didn't want to talk to cats outside Windclan this time.

~ TULIPPAW OF WINDCLAN ~ (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50110)

Suddenly, a cat who didn't smell like fish bounded over to Tulippaw. Now that she scented the air, she found that there was another strong Clan scent that made her think of moss and trees. It wasn't as strong as RiverClan's, though, and she didn't know which Clan the scent belonged to. Didn't ShadowClan smell really bad? Tulippaw thought so. They bathed in the blood of innocent cats... Just the thought made Tulippaw shiver, but she quickly suppressed it. She had to look as elegant as possible in front of everybody else! This apprentice didn't smell so pleasant - the scent wasn't as good as WindClan's, that was for sure - and she seemed to have dreadful manners. Bouncing around like that in front of everybody? Tulippaw would never! As excited as she was, she would always keep herself composed. However, there was definitely the possibility that this cat was excited because she was in the presence of a cat as wonderful as Tulippaw.

Tulippaw flashed a bright, charming smile at the apprentice, who promptly introduced herself as Finchpaw. "Hello!" she replied in a friendly voice. Frankly, she didn't care about cats from the other Clans, but having proper manners - and coming off as a warm, welcoming, friendly individual - was exactly what she had to do to make as many cats as she could love her. Tulippaw cared most for WindClan, but still. "My name is Tulippaw, and as you can see, I'm the most beautiful cat in all four Clans." Her voice was proud, but also sweet, as though it had been coated in a layer of honey. "I'm from WindClan, which is the best, obviously. Which Clan are you from?"

Prowling out of the shadows as silently as ever, the giant feline cast swiftly glanced around the beach and scented the air, picking up the other three clans' unique smells. Dawnstar beckoned her clan to follow her in as she fully untangled herself from darkness and strutted across the beach. The moonlight bathed the massive dark brown tabby in white light, highlighting some of her new scars, the most noticeable being the new bright pink scratches that cut across her eye. If one stared hard and long enough they might notice the smallest limp in her gait. As she smoothy made her way through mixed clans, she noticed that both RiverClan and ThunderClan were sporting some new wounds as well. Interesting, it seemed that WindClan and ShadowClan weren't the only ones settling territory disputes, or so she assumed, what else did ThunderClan have to fight for, obviously not their dignity. That was long gone.

Now considering ThunderClan was picking fights, Dawnstar had expected that they had their leader and deputy problem settled, so imagine her surprise when she found Cindersky and two warriors, she knew by name but nothing more, sitting on the seastones. Granted, they were settled on the rocks below the leaders, but seeing as there were three warriors there and none of them in the place of leader or deputy, well it got on Dawnstar's nerves. These kittypets continue to make a mockery of the clans with their inability to pick out leader and deputy. A clan was not a clan without the stability of its high ranks. Dawnstar had heard the old tales of how the clans were formed and the first thing that set clans apart, before even the Clan codes were created was their hierarchy.

She had been willing to leave ThunderClan to themselves, but considering the number of moons that they went through without a leader or a deputy, now it was just becoming insulting. In a few swift leaps, Dawnstar leaped up to join Skystar and Twilightstar. "If you're not a leader, nor a deputy, and obviously not a medicine cat, get off the Seastones."Dawnstar growled to Cindersky who seemed to be running this little operation. Was the leader being petty, not in her mind, Dawnstar was just genuinely insulted by ThunderClan being so irresponsible and ignorant. None of these warriors deserved to be on the seastones, if RiverClan and WindClan refused to point out what was so glaringly obvious, Dawnstar would. It's not like she had some great reputation to uphold. There was a ranking system and rules that went with it, just because ThunderClan wanted to ignore it didn't mean the rest of the clans should. She was a little surprised that not more cats were making a fuss about this? Did all clans just tolerate whoever leaping up on the stones?

Sundust padded into the clearing, following after Cindersky, Jaystride, and Sparrowflight. He took his place at the base of the Seastones, appearing to be the only medicine cat so far. Strange, considering the rest of the clans had arrived. Oh well, he would enjoy the quiet while it last. If he was lucky then perhaps Snakeface would stay home, though he did still hold a bit of empathy for the grouchy tom over the death of his brother.

His ear twitched as Dawnstar began being Dawnstar, and tried to boss the three warriors off of the Seastones. Good grief, hadn't she given up on Thunderclan? Apparently meddling in their affairs was irresistible to that molly. He sat up straighter, shooting a glare towards the Shadowclan leader. "I thought you had resigned as Thunderclan's leader? Unless you intend on taking the helm of Thunderclan once more, I would appreciate you focusing on your own clan. Speaking of which, I do have a matter involving one of your clanmates to discuss with you after the announcements, if you don't mind." He had not forgotten Cloudypaw dragging poor Rainpaw into the medicine, mangled up by some nasty Shadowclan apprentice. Did they not pride themselves on the training of their apprentices? Clearly a lesson or two on the warrior code would do them some good. "Anyway, as the only current cat in Thunderclan with a position of power, aside from Rosepaw of course, I grant them permission to deliver Thunderclan's news. I hope that is satisfactory for you." His tone was blank, as it always was, but had he the ability to inflect upon his voice to convey emotion, his statements would be utterly laced with sarcasm. He once again found himself thankful for his inability to outwardly express emotion though, a neutral face and monotone voice would seem more professional.

He wished Dawnstar wouldn't be so difficult. He honestly didn't feel the need to 'grant permission' to the others, heck he didn't even feel like he really had the authority to do so! Just mere moons ago he had been a warrior like them, and that trio were a heck of a lot better at it than he was. He shook his head, now scanning the clearing for Rosepaw. Hopefully she would arrive soon - he always felt better when chatting with his apprentice.

Padding right after his cousin he was hoping to talk with the medicine cats of Thunderclan to see how they were doing. That was when Dawnstar said something about Cindersky and her two warriors shouldn't be up there. Then Sundust came in. Welp there went that plan. He was hoping to see if they were open to going to the starcave to introduce Elmshadow and Ivysnake to their starclan or dark forest ancestors. He'd probably just have to to take them alone. Ebonyfang sat down near the front of the crowd in sight to show that he was open to anything the leader needed. He wanted to have a little bit of fun with the squirrels if any of them acted up.

Oh, wow look at this, Sundust was actually here. Most of what the cat said went in one ear and out the other. As much as she could respect a medicine cat, his lack of leadership towards his own clan made it hard for Dawnstar to acknowledge him as much of anything other than an irritation.

"I don't care if you gave them permission unless you're a high rank you're not supposed to be up here." For once, Dawnstar wasn't actively trying to pick on the other clan to cause trouble. She was genuinely insulted that random warriors were allowed to be up here. "If you want to come up here and speak for your clan, fine, but they can sit at the base of the stones." Dawnstar huffed, wondering if Skystar or Twilightstar were going to say something about this.

"If you have something to say after the gathering, I'll stay behind and hear it, but forgive me for not taking you or your rank seriously. I find it funny that you are here to tell me who can and can not come upon the seastones, yet when your clan was insulting the death of a leader and mocking another, you were nowhere to be found. Your clan has gone for how many moons without choosing a leader or deputy. You've been a medicine cat for how long and yet you seemed to believe that it's simply acceptable to go one without a leader. Either StarClan is ignoring you or you haven't been trying to find a replacement, whatever the reason, I don't care it's not acceptable." She was honestly getting sick and tired of this. The leader swung her head over to look at the remaining two leaders obviously wanting to have this out before anyone started announcements.

"I think it should be every clans' concern when one clan has gone without a leader for as long as ThunderClan's has. It's a mockery to the clans, I understand struggles, but the other clans have persevered through everything thrown at them and found new leaders and deputies. We have leaders and deputies for a reason, your blatant refusal to acquire a leader or deputy is beyond vexing. The high ranks serve as the pillars of clans. You might want to continue ignoring this, but this is going beyond a simple ThunderClan issue." Dawnstar's shot a sharp challenging glare at Twilightstar. Her words were pointed towards Twilightstar over Skystar, he had just been made a leader, whereas Twilightstar has been serving as WindClan's leader for seasons now. ThunderClan has had moons to find replacements, moons to kick Dawnstar and lazy ShadowClan warriors out of their clan after the so-called 'invasion', and now some mere warriors seemed to believe they had some right to stand among them on the Seastones. Dawnstar's pride as a leader and member of a clan was far too strong to shove this obvious sign of disrespect aside.

Cindersky
It appeared the thorn in her side was here, and Cindersky swung her head around to look at Dawnstar. She remained carefully composed as she demanded she get off the rock, and was prepared to speak when Sundust came up to her defense. Her blue gaze watched the interaction before they landed once more on Dawnstar.

"In the last moon alone for ThunderClan," Cindersky began, deciding to step up and say something to Dawnstar, "new warriors have been made, we have reclaimed a piece of territory that was stolen from us, and have fully repaired our camp from when it housed your lazy, do-nothing fox-hearted warriors." Though her words were sharp her tone remained calm - the only notion that pointed to the slight irritation was the gleam in her eyes.

"We may not have a leader in the traditional sense, but ThunderClan has stepped up in many ways that you must simply be blind to. Now either you can either continue to dig your claws in where they are not needed and will be removed," Cindersky continued, keeping the same level-headed tone, "or you can pay attention to your own Clan and their necessities." It was not lost on Cindersky how the deputy spot was empty beneath Dawnstar. Not that it was comparable, but if she were going to complain about a Clan lacking high ranks then the senior warrior would make sure she knew what field she was playing on.

A last glance towards the massive Clan leader before it flickered towards the other two. "With all due respect," Cindersky added, "ThunderClan may not have a traditional leader yet, but we are here to represent our Clan until that issue is resolved." To here, there was no more to say on the issue, and lastly her gaze lingered on Skystar. She was curious if he had anything to say, for she had much to say in regards to him and his behavior at the battle.

The young tom padded into the gathering with a bored expression on his face. Having seen the leaders and deputies at the last gathering and not getting what all the fuss was about them, Leechpaw figured he was going to be bored at this one. The obnoxious meow coming out of the snarky ShadowClan leader drew his attention for a moment, more because she was looking at his mother over anything else. He flexed his claws before sliding them back into their sheathed when noticed that loudmouth wasn't being overly hostile or badmouthing his mother.

The huge gray apprentice took a seat on the sand, hoping this gathering would be quick and that he could leave. He turned an ear in the direction of a familiar meow some fox lengths away. Midnightpaw? He had briefly spoken to the black she-cat at the last gathering when ThunderClan was being numbskulls. He hadn't gotten all that reacquainted with his absent sister since then. Midnightpaw and Beastpaw had seemed to have taken a more independent direction compared to him and Lionpaw. That was perfectly alright, but they couldn't be upset if Leechpaw took to favoring Lionpaw over them.

Picking himself up, he began to make his way toward the voices, making out a black pelt and more importantly a lilac pelt. A small smile tugged at the corner of his maw as he walked straight over to Lionpaw to give her a friendly headbutt. "What are you two doing?" He questioned, glancing at the hole that Lionpaw was obviously digging. He merely assumed Midnightpaw had been involved considering that she was already here.

Oh, yeah, he should see if he could find those twin warriors from ThunderClan if he had time. It had taken him longer than necessary to realize that they had been simply messing with him during their fight for a Cove? Was that what it was called? Anyway, he wasn't really sour about it, in fact, he found it quite humorous and honestly was glad they hadn't been taking him seriously. Leechpaw wasn't ashamed of his inexperience in battle he'd grow, plus real battles were a lot more intense than he had originally figured. If possible he'd like to see if the pair of twins had any advice for tag-battles. He was always eager to learn something new.

The medicine cat followed after his leader and deputy, his head low with worry churning in his stomach. Cowpaw had been fond of Thunderclan from his interactions with their medicine cats. Despite the prior gathering with the .. loud apprentices, he still hoped the very best for him and believed Starclan would guide their path. Unfortunately, Riverclan and Thunderclan seemed to be in a constant feud. Cowpaw, shamefully, was going to try and avoid confrontation with the other medicine cats.

He trailed after Fallownose, attempting to harness ability of stealth. Cowpaw wasn't that big, he was sure no one notice if he joined the deputy on his rock. And that he did. Leaping up upon the rock that was typically only for deputies, he ducked his head in greeting to Snowleap. A silent wave of his tail.

Looking to Twilightstar, he slowly sat down behind Fallownose. No one would notice. He attempted to hunch down but - but he still stuck out a little. Maybe he could just blend in with him. Wonderful.

Arriving at the Gathering, their paws sparked with the need for chaos. Their crabs were great despite the consequences they had to face. Taking a seat in the front, they looked up to the Seastones. "What the heck?" Lotuspaw murmured under their breath at the - just, general existence of Dawnstripe (star). They couldn't quite pick out what the molly was saying, and they did not care!

Shadowclan Medicine Cat

The dark tom stalked through the shadows behind Dawnstar. It was to be his first gathering as medicine cat. With their recent disagreements with Windclan more or less resolved, he didn't foresee too much animosity from them, but, judging by his last interaction with a Thunderclan patrol at the border, he didn't see the dysfunctional clan letting go of their resentment any time soon. He took a deep breath as the beach opened up in front of them and was soon aware that they were the last to arrive. It was mildly noteworthy that Thunderclan had gotten it together enough to show up but the tensions made his pelt prickle.

He quickly noticed a trio of Thunderclanners loitering around the Seastones. He huffed disapprovingly. They'd been so eager to be rid of Shadowclan yet hadn't the gumption to remove them until Dawnstar simply gave up on them and still they had no leadership, Pathetic. His eyes found Sundust, seemingly the only other medicine cat to have arrived so far, near the Stones. He figured he'd be expected to mingle with him but very few things sounded less appealing. He placed himself nearby without saying a word.

He kept his face neutral, flicking an ear to listen to Dawnstar as she confronted the mockery that the Thunderclanners were making of the clans. It wasn't until Sundust spoke up against his leader that Elmshadow's full attention was pulled in. His eyes snapped towards the other medicine cat but Dawnstar was quick to address the medicine cat. Elmshadow kept himself seated and neutral but ready should Sundust continue to push.

She wasn't going to hurt him? His mother did all the time, so why was this cat any different. Suddenly getting ptsd from what his mother had done to him when he was a kit. One paw lifted up to touch the scars on his right cheek. It stung yet it had been there since he was a couple moons old. He bowed his head down on his paws and calmed himself down before lifting it back up. "Okay.", he meowed. Bugpaw didn't say nothing more and found himself scooting back over to her. Windclan sounded nice compared to his clan. Well to him everyone there made him think they were all like his mother.

Bugpaw liked Windclan. They seemed to be full of nice respectful warriors. Than there was his own clan. Maybe soon it would be best to leave his clan and the past of his mother could be forgotten. He got comfort with this she-cat, so he felt safe.

[OPEN]

The young mottled she-cat had had to weave through the crowd of cats to catch up to Elmshadow towards the front of the group of Shadowclan cats but she was by his side before they walked through to the open beach sands. Windclan and Riverclan and even Thunderclan were all there and getting settled already. Elmshadow hadn't given her much attention before he pulled his flank away from hers to go join the other medicine cats. She smiled after him though his coldness was beginning to get under her pelt. She realized she'd been gone during her stay in Thunderclan with Dawnstar and the mice and Goldenstep stealing away his kits was likely pulling his mind from her but it irked her that her former mentor could still have a piece of her mate's mind. She left, he couldn't still be concerned with that. As for his missing kits, she couldn't see why it'd bother him; they were all she-cats and he still had the kits she'd given him, regardless of her inability to see why he so desperately needed them at all.

She looked around, not caring what was going on among the high ranks. She noticed the Thunderclan cats sitting on the Seastones but didn't give it a second thought. If they wanted to look the fools of the forest then let them. However, a bristling tom caught her eye, no doubt a Thunderclanner by the way he was looking at Dawnstar. She giggled as she trotted easily up to him. Extended one claw, she reached out to poke the warrior's flank lightly with the sharpened tip. "You seem awfully tense, wouldn't want somebody to mistake that for hostility at a Gathering." She giggled again lightly.

The lilac calico trotted out onto the beach, taking comfort in the cool sands squishing up between her toes. The night was quiet and fresh, no scents assaulting her nose except the cool ocean mist. It was nice to be the first ones at the Seastones. Her reverie only lasted so long before her mind began to play on the hopes of seeing Sleethound. Her eyes darted around her, momentarily frightened that somebody around her could feel her desires. She shook her head, followed by the rest of her pelt. No, don't be silly. Nobody's a mind reader and the only way anybody will suspect anything is if you keep acting the fool! She found a spot near the entrance to the Seastones where she could still get a good view of the leaders on the Stones. She positioned her body to look at Skystar sitting alone but her eyes kept drifting inland.

It wasn't long at all before she heard cats arriving. Her heart skipped momentarily and her darted towards the incoming clan. The moorland scent hit her before she could make out the incoming cats. It's only Windclan, calm down! she chided herself, but soon behind them she recognized the scent of Thunderclan. Her heart slammed against her chest as she focused on keeping still. You're acting like a lovesick apprentice! Grow up! She struggled to keep herself solid as her eyes darted over the incoming cats. She missed so many as they filtered in while trying not to be obvious in her search over the other clans, until she recognized Dawnstar's distinctive shape and knew the cats filtering in now were Shadowclan. She'd either missed Sleethound coming in or he wasn't coming...The ladder made her stomach flip so she resolved to stay put and hope the tom would find her as she kept her amber eyes scanning discreetly over the gathered cats.

Rowan [for the mention, feel free to ignore]

The spotted tabby padded through the quickly multiplying cats, a thoughtful grin on his face. He remembered his time as an apprentice attending gatherings. He'd once spoken to an old Shadowclanner and briefly wondered if the tom was around to talk to again. He'd been jolly and easy to talk to. Flamepaw came to mind as well though Codwhisper had long since given in to the worry that something had happened to his friend afterall; he wasn't sure where to begin searching for the other cat or finding out what had happened to him so he'd since left it a mystery to himself. He considered sitting beside his aunt Doeheart but thought against it, he'd have plenty of time to talk with her any other time. His eye caught Spiderpaw. The apprentice had made somewhat of an impression on him and he considered talking to him for a moment until he saw Cloudpaw sitting with him. Codwhisper shrugged and turned away, not wanting to interrupt. Though it did force him to consider his own loneliness. He's put on a happy front and would continue to do so but his friends were all so busy or just gone and it was beginning to weigh on him. He realized the twisting emotion reeking through him was jealousy. He couldn't imagine being jealous of Spiderpaw but he couldn't deny wanting what he saw him and Cloudpaw sharing. He shook himself off and kept walking. He was lost in his thoughts until his nose bumped into another cat.

Irispaw || WindClan
Irispaw was excited for her first gathering because she'd never been to one before. Of course, Dawnstar decided to lash out at ThunderClan. Ouch. While Irispaw agreed with Dawnstar about the leader situation - what was a Clan without some leading figures for cats to look up to? - the slate-coloured apprentice knew that it must hurt. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws when she felt a nose brush against her pelt.
Irispaw jumped up and spun around, hair rising up, but her fur quickly flattened when she realized it was this grey spotted tabby tom. He had the smell of RiverClan on him, and Irispaw studied him closely. Oh, wow! This was her first close glance at a river cat. He did have a sleek pelt.
"Hiya!" she exclaimed cheerfully. "Sorry for being in your way." Irispaw promptly sat down again, flopping her tail on top of her paws, and looked back at the RiverClan warrior. She wondered what he was going to do. Attack her? She suppressed a shiver. Most likely he'd just walk away.

Sunsetpaw || ThunderClan
Sunsetpaw decided to attend the gathering. He glared at Dawnstar as the ShadowClan leader hurled insults at his Clan. She'd hated living in ThunderClan when Dawnstar was ruling over the Clan. Honestly, ThunderClan did fine on their own, they didn't need smelly frogs looking after them. ThunderClan's already horrible reputation had been worsened by Dawnstar. Sunsetpaw was sure that every other Clan thought that they were weak.

She kept a smile on her face though to keep the atmosphere light. They sat down, whiskers twitching.

The tabby padded along the rest of her clanmates, standing proud, and enjoying the view of the Seastones. Before his blue eyes focused on the crowd gathered beneath them. The warrior always made special care to talk to new cats at every gathering, and this wouldn’t be an exception. She sat down next to a moor-cat, in such a way that she looked as regal as she considered herself to be.
“How’re you today?” The Tom asked.

As the rest of the clans eventually filed into the area, the dark-furred tomcat’s gaze slid open, flickering over to the familiar sight of another feline: Windclan’s deputy. As the other tomcat took the spot beside him, Snowleap returned the polite dip of the head to him. “Greetings, Fallownose.” He meowed, wondering what would be the right words to say regarding the topic of his call to retreat, “If I could’ve stopped Thunderclan, Riverclan and Windclan from having that battle altogether, I would have done so in a heartbeat. I’m just relieved I was able to call everyone away before any more lives were taken.” Snowleap was not ashamed, nor was he hesitant to voice how much he hated the battle for the cove. It was unnecessary and several young apprentices were killed in the process. Their deaths would haunt the oriental longhair for a long time, just as Talonkit and Birdpaw’s death did. The list was ever growing and it exhausted him gravely. Regardless of Skystar, Snowleap hoped that he could become friends with Fallownose and show him, and Windclan as a whole, that he was nothing like Riverclan’s leader. He strived for peace and kindness, not stupid arguments and unneeded bloodshed like so many seemed to want these days. He hated battle and wished that the world they were in didn’t thrive in utter chaos. The Riverclan deputy would never understand that.

Without missing a beat, Dawnstar seemed to start something with Cindersky and thus the usual path the gatherings took began. Snowleap, for now, chose to not get involved and focus on socializing with Windclan. While that went on above them, the tall Riverclan deputy then looked at Cowpaw, the medicine cat of Windclan, without a single doubt. He dipped his head to him with a polite smile taking his expression. Watching the tomcat sit behind Fallownose, it was then that it dawned on the Riverclan deputy just how large in size Cowpaw was. Holy Starclan. Snowleap had always thought that he was a big cat, since both his parents had gifted him with those kinda genes. It didn’t really matter beyond that sole initial surprise though. Snowleap genuinely hoped that he could become friends with Windclan, regardless of Skystar’s actions. He silently urged cats to see that he was different from the clan leader. Nonetheless, he wouldn’t make a scene over it. Honestly, he hoped that this would all be over soon and they could go home.

Moving on from that, he tried to keep the conversation going. "Battle aside, how is Windclan doing?" Snowleap asked both of the Windclan cats, genuinely wishing to know how their neighbor was faring. He wanted to show that he actually cared.

Aqua Catrina
"Thunderclan! so your from Windclan huh? you must know my friend Hawkpaw then?" Finchpaw meowed happily, the white furred she-cat was happy to be at a gathering, her long thin white tail swished about behind her...

> Owlglide of Windclan

The long-tailed tom calmly strided after the rest of his clan and brought up the rear of Windclan. He was in a good mood this night. The weather was a little cool as usual on a late newleaf night, but no cold winds come his way, and it was generally rather calm. Though, as usually, Owlglide suspected things would heat up soon enough. The leaders tended to... sometimes get into a little bicker of things. As he looked towards where the leaders sat, he noticed an addition on Riverclan's side to their leadership. Fallownose was no longer the only deputy - and so seemed to be in no lack of a conversation partner like before - and was how joined up there by a tall, dark cat - the name of whom he couldn't quite bring himself to recall. Sleetleap almost rang a bell inside his head, but it didn't sound quite correct. Oh well, he was sure Skystar would let everyone know who the cat was soon enough.

But they weren't the oddly new cat among the highranks. Since as his gaze moved on towards the medicine cats he noticed another dark shape. This one was large rather than tall, and a clear grey instead of the new deputy's dark and speckled pelt. And Owlglide noticed the difference, where the deputy had a bushy tail, the medicine cat's seemed to be missing. But there was another comming factor between them, that Owlglide remembered neithers' name. If he had even ever heard them to begging with.

> Badgerscar of Shadowclan

Large paws tramped the dirt underneath the huge tom as he followed after his leader and mother. He sat down and watched Dawnstar, uninterested in the new cat beside the bunny-deputy. But he knew it was a fish, since the rodents didn't even have a proper leader yet, and didn't seem at all capable of having a leader at all. Of course, that guy, Elmshadow, was also there, but that was coming knowledge in Shadowclan right now.

His attention snapped back towards his mother and a pair of brown, thorn ears pricked up as he leaned forward to listen. Badgerscar knew it wasn't his job to defend his mother up there, and she could very well handle herself both with words and claws. Those rodents were idiots. Sending up a warrior instead of having the medicine cat report the stuff. And now they were objecting when Dawnstar - the only sensible cat up there - was pointing it out.

~ Sparrowflight ~

Well... This was certainly going to be another first for Sparrowflight.

Brown paws carried the tan she-cat dutifully beside Cindersky as they led their clanmates to the Seastones. To think that she would be acting even more as a representative for their clan was... Well, it was certainly not something she had expected a few moons ago that's for sure.

Hopping up up to settle beside her peers (being slightly below the other felt like it was a decent enough sign of respect, especially since last moon they're delegation had been... less than satisfactory), Sparrowflight settled onto her haunches as best she could and gave a curt nod to the other leaders as she was introduced. It felt... odd to say the least, but they had a job to do and she was never one to turn her nose up at an opportunity to work for her clan. Even if she did have to sit closer to the stars-damned Riverclan leader who had caused the death of several "too-young-to-fight" cats.

Dawnstar's arrival and subsequent barbed words warranted nothing more than a flick of her ear as Sundust and Cindersky seemed to have a handle on her temper. It wasn't that Dawnstar was wrong, in fact Sparrowflight (begrudgingly) agreed that Thunderclan had sat leaderless for far too long. It was a tiring thing that their little crew had going; attempting to keep up clan duties and respect the hierarchy when a hierarchy was nowhere to be found. However, she trusted Sundust's judgement. If--no WHEN the medicine cat heard from Starclan regarding their new leader, she would follow them no questions asked.

But for now, Sparrowflight would do simply do what was needed when it was needed.

Green eyes began to move throughout the crowd, keeping an eye on those from Thunderclan that had arrived to make sure no shenanigans occurred. At least, not any potentially war-inciting shenanigans. Starclan help them if they managed to call any more attacks to themselves.

If Little Mouse was threatened by her then he would blow over with a simple glance from Dawnstar. She sat back and rolled her eyes though her smile never wavered.

Cougarivy's desires to instigate against her better judgement were quickly taking over so with a little sigh she turned up onto her paws and flicked her tail, walking back towards the front of the gathered cats where she could get in better proximity with Elmshadow. Casting a glance over her shoulder, she meowed smoothly, "If you ever want to play, find me at the border." she giggled. "I could go for some fun, it's been oh too long."

Tulippaw gave a nod as Finchpaw told her that she was from ThunderClan. They lived in the forest, didn't they? And forests had a lot of trees and moss? Yeah, they did. So that made sense. She made an effort to memorize the ThunderClan scent. Sorrelhawk would be glad that she was learning so much at this Gathering. As she did so - still keeping herself looking proper, of course - Finchpaw asked her about a cat named Hawkpaw. Tulippaw tipped her head to one side, thinking. However, Tulippaw didn't show her distaste, and instead flashed a pretty smile. It was so great to see others enjoying her company. However, Finchpaw wasn't being proper at all. Rainhound slipped into the beach, watching Cindersky, Sundust and Sparrowflight leap onto the seastones. Good, ThunderClan was handling the gathering well so far. Dawnstar's words made her tail lash with anger. Of course Sundust was allowed to be up there, and the other three warriors had proved themselves multiple times. Dawnstar could not control ThunderClan anymore.

With a scowl on her maw, the newly appointed warrior wrapped her tail arround her paws. Some cats could never keep quiet, apparently.

None of the other leaders seemed to have a problem with Cindersky anyways. Skystar was just... there, the deputies were conversing, and Twilightstar didn't seem to mind? That was all Rainhound could observe. She let her blue eyes trail to the ground, suddenly assuming a dreamy gaze. A small smile stretched across her face as she thought about being on the seastones herself.

That was the first spark of rebellion within ThunderClan, and because of a few apprentices going to the gathering, Dawnstar decided to leave.

...How weak.

Honestly, Rainhound had expected more of the leader who pretended to be over-the-top. ShadowClan wasn't the strongest, and she knew that now. It appeared there were new faces amongst the seastones - ah, so the other clans were getting settled. She didn't mind a leaderless ThunderClan, though. It was actually kinda fun.

~ IVYSNAKE OF SHADOWCLAN ~ (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50110)

It was Ivysnake's first Gathering as ShadowClan's medicine cat apprentice. The dark brown tabby she-cat followed Elmshadow as they walked over to the Seastones. Upon arriving, her gaze landed on the place where the medicine cats normally sat. Sundust, ThunderClan's medicine cat, was already there. Ivysnake knew who all the medicine cats were, of course, but now she was going to make an extra effort to memorize them. Sundust had marbled ginger tabby fur that was curly, which should be pretty distinctive. She couldn't see Rosepaw yet, but she did spot a huge white tom with black spots. Cowpaw, right? Interesting how he was labeled a full medicine cat without having his full name yet. Maybe he'd get his full name soon.

Ivysnake settled down among the other medicine cats and Elmshadow, glancing around at them. "I'm pretty sure Dawnstar will announce it, but as you can see, we are ShadowClan's new medicine cats," she told them, flicking her black-striped tail at Elmshadow. Sundust spoke, and Dawnstar acknowledged the idiot. Seriously, how dumb could Sundust be? As ThunderClan's only high rank - well, besides his apprentice - he should've chosen a suitable leader and maybe deputy by now. Ivysnake shot the ginger tabby a look, then glanced at Cowpaw. "My name is Ivysnake." She kept her tone a bit tight but for the most part casual. She wasn't friendly, of course, but she was just introducing herself to the other medicine cats.

~ Mistheart ~
(OPEN)

Scampering in behind most of her peers, Mistheart paused briefly before making their way into the sandy expanse before the Seastones. She had avoided going to the last few gatherings, but... with her recent ceremony she assumed she would probably have to come this time.

Even if she had the potential to be addressed by the cats sitting above her on the stones.

Glancing around to the other cats milling about the area, Mistheart moved off to the side. She would still be close enough to hear the announcements, but it gave her enough breathing room to be comfortable. Picking her way across the sand, she let her grey eyes scan the beach for shells. Perhaps she'd find a new one to add to her new nest!

It seemed there were a few apprentices making quite an impressive sand pile nearby, so she kept her distance but couldn't help glancing at the ever growing mound of sand as she poked and podded at the ground for shells. What on earth were they making?

He cast nervous glances over to where Cindersky and Dawnstar were having it out. Even though his pelt prickled nervously at the thought that Dawnstar might try to take over again, a surge of the pride he had felt at the meeting flooded into him. The three cats who represented the best of Thunderclan were standing up to her. Things really were looking up! He turned to the cat next to him, beaming. “Isn’t it great to see them stand up to her?”

Barkpaw spotted a young warrior, it looked like they had just entered the crowd. Barkpaw walked over to them. He was happy to see a kind cat come into the gathering. He liked kind cats, especially ones who kept their pelt clean and were loyal. This one seemed like one who was a good fit for Barkpaw. He walked over to the cat, "Hello, my names Barkpaw. I'm a new WindClan apprentice. What is your name?"

Honey’Freckle abandoned the race she had previously been watching to go to the gathering and bounded into the crowd of cats, taking great care to pick a good spot to sit at. She chose to sit near the edges of the gathering place, away from the other cats, trying not to make any cats think she was annoying or trying to be in the way. Crouching low to the ground in an attempt to not be seen so no one would think she was trying to disturb others, though this may fail, it was worth a shot. I wonder what’ll happen in this gathering. She thought, trying not to think about how ThunderClan had no leader or deputy.

// Mudskip - ThunderClan - open

Attending the gathering was perhaps the single 'warrior duty' Mudskip looked forward to fulfilling nowadays; nosiness curiosity and a nasty penchant for meddling made him loathe to miss these drama-fests.

It wasn't just that, of course. Mudskip was also aware that tensions would be high. Pretty run-of-the-mill textbook for his clan, but with the rivercats' death toll following their skirmish, he wondered if discussions would prove more...volatile. Whatever happened--even if Mudskip wasn't known for his devastating combat abilities--he didn't want to leave his clannmates to face it alone.

Weaving through a maze of cats, the small tom picked out a spot near the seastones and perked his ears to listen. Silly Mudskip for being late (as always.) Did he miss anything??

The pretty WindClan she-cat watched as a ThunderClan tom arrived. Well, I don't want to be a nuisance, but I do wanna talk to a ThunderClan cat, so... She got up and went to where the newly arrived tom had went to and sat down. "Hello! I'm Honey'Freckle. What's your name? Also is it weird not having a leader or deputy? Who is in charge of the clan?" She asked, completely forgetting the Medicine Cat would be the next cat to help guide the clan.

Fallownose gave Snowleap his full attention as his fellow deputy began to speak. He inclined his head in acknowledgement at the oriental's wish to have stopped the battle completely, although it was a little curious. "It was unfortunate, and I offer my condolences for your losses. How did ThunderClan manage to win, anyways?" he asked with a tilt of his head, genuinely curious. They hadn't even recovered from being invaded by ShadowClan, yet somehow managed to steal RiverClan's territory from them even with a little of WindClan's help. It shocked the WindClan deputy that it had even gotten to the point where RiverClan needed to ask for help.

The presence of Cowpaw sliding behind him only brought a brief flicker of amusement to Fallownose's eyes before he was once again focused on the conversation. "And WindClan is doing quite well, thanks. We've recently managed to retake the Sky Glade back from ShadowClan." WindClan's victory would be announced soon enough so there wasn't any harm in telling Snowleap ahead of time.

Though it looks like ShadowClan will be starting drama once again Fallownose thought as his attention was turned higher up on the Seastone to where Dawnstar had arrived and was demanding that the ThunderClan warriors get off. As much as he loathed to admit it, he did agree with the ShadowClan leader for once. ThunderClan was defiling tradition by allowing warriors onto the rock where only leaders and deputies sat (excluding medicine cats during extenuating circumstances). StarClan knows how, but Dawnstar had nine lives and had thus earned the right to be up there. The others had not.

"Well, it seems this Gathering will prove to be just as interesting as every single other one. It seems Bravebird won't be pledging loyalty to Dawnstar today." The part about Bravebird was said with a soft purr of amusement and clearly not meant to be understood by anyone other than Fallownose himself.

[Sorry I'm late! I don't know what I was trying to get across in the last paragraph, so feel free to skip it.]
Paws skipped over the collection of stones as Beastpaw ran into the Seastones. He hadn't meant to go, but when he realized that Lionpaw and Leechpaw were all going, and it was their first gathering, and he wasn't going to be there with them, Beastpaw bolted. Of course, he wasn't really that fast, so what was meant to be a couple minute long run turned into an alternating course of running, then panting and walking, then running again. The group was only a few minutes ahead of him when he left, but following the scent trail of cats took a bit longer than he would have liked. As he finally approached the entrance, the scents of all four clans bled together.

"Woah." He didn't mean to say it, but he doubt anyone heard him. It was so loud and there was so many cats and some of them looked like they wanted to beat the other ones up. There was no way in the world he was going to miss this again. A suddenw ave of panic hit him. What if he couldn't find the others? What if he was forever alone because that they went off in the corner and had sibling bonding time and he wasn't there because there were so many cats here he couldn't find them. Wait, he caught sight of a lilac shape, chubby and small. There were two other cats beside her, one big and grey and another, slightly less familiar pitch black cat.

Falling over tails and paws, he finally made it to the other three. "You guys tried to leave without me! How could you! I'm your sibling too! Why didn't you tell me you were coming!" His eyes widened as he finally took the time to look at the third cat. "Midnightpaw? What are you doing here? It's been forever! Where did you go? When did you come back? Why didn't you tell me?" He sat down, a frown painted across his face. One of the cats on the big rocks started talking. Who was that? Why were there so many cats on the big rock?

He tried to listen, but after a couple seconds, he gave up and turned back to the others. "Ya' know, next time tell me whats going to happen. You brought Midnightpaw and didn't bring me! I'm affronted!" He looked at them, excited by the use of his new word. He hadn't shown off a new word in weeks, but now Midnightpaw was here and she hadn't heard any of his words. I guess the present was the best time to change. Then again, he didn't spend much time thinking about the future. Beastpaw had trouble staying focused, he could be thinking of one thing one moment, and then doing something unrelated and equally unimportant the next. His mood changed just as fast, going from happy to sad to excited to whatever else he was feeling in a single. He lived his life in the past and present, forget the future. Now was what really mattered.

Cowpaw peered at what had to be Riverclan's deputy. Hm! His feathery tail flickered back and forth; interest piqued. He decided he enjoyed this cat. Particularly for his voiced opinion about the battle that took place in Firefly Cove. He wouldn't put his nose into something that was clearly not his business, but he did wish Windclan had offered a different means of help. Specially, considering his clanmates not long before had participated in a battle with Shadowclan. Cowpaw wouldn't throw a fit about it nor would he voice his opinion like Snowleap had - what's done was done.

Cowpaw leaned back to stare at Fallownose. Was he misunderstanding the tom's tone because that did seem like a rude thing to question about! Specially, with the consideration Riverclan had lost lives. (at least he was assuming so.) He reached a large paw to gently tap Fallownose on his shoulder, shaking his head in an attempt to communicate how it could be misinterpreted as a taunt.

At the mention of their winning of Sky Glade, a pleased purr erupted from Cowpaw with a nod. By Starclan, he was so very proud of his clanmates. They've earned the win. He tapped his paws happily against the ground, allow a smile to appear across his face. The tom didn't have much to add on - but he did peek out just slightly to quickly sign. "I have found berries that I believe could be useful!" Then ducking back behind Fallownose.

A startled noise escaped from Cowpaw at Fallownose mentioning Bavebird wouldn't be pledging loyalty to Shadowclan. He looked to Fallownose, then to Snowleap, and then to Fallownose. Hm?? Hm!! That had been a thought the molly had? Oh! Oh, no, no, he was quite fond of her! With a worried rumble, the medicine cat leapt down from the rock. He needed to make sure Bravebird did not have any plans to. By golly, he couldn't let this happen!

Cowpaw - as it would've been - was stopped by Ivysnake approaching him. He stared owlishly at her, doing his best to reel at any possible appearance traits that may allow him to have a more of an educated guess on who was speaking to him. It was quickly revealed on why Cowpaw was at a complete loss. He blinked once and then twice. Then looked to Elmshadow. Scary. Scary!!!!! He hadn't been prepared for this!

He smiled nervously at the two, dipping his head in greeting. Cowpaw couldn't be rude, nonetheless, these were his fellow medicine cats and by stars he would make a great impression! Lifting an oversized paw, "Oh! Bolly, that's just wonderful. It is a pleasure to meet you, Ivysnake. I'm Cowpaw! Windclan's medicine cat! Are you settling in well?" Cowpaw signed, taking a seat. In this moment, very grateful for the fact paws had no verbal tone where one could detect his anxieties.

As the last two clans showed up, Twilightstar plastered a frown on her face when some ThunderClan warriors jumped up onto the seastones as if they belonged there. The one molly, Cindersky, offered an apology for ThunderClan's behavior at the last gathering. As much as Twilightstar disliked holding a grudging, considering that a group of ThunderClan warriors just jumped up onto the seastones, it made the apology sound insincere. After the last gathering, Twilightstar didn't want any ThunderClan cat on the seastones unless they had the proper rank to be up here. From its looks, ThunderClan still had no leader and no deputy. Here she thought that their fight to reclaim their lost territory meant they had proper leadership once again.

Twilightstar's tail lashed in mild irritation, wondering if she was being over judgemental about cats sitting on the stone. As the hulking scarred tabby strolled over and up onto the rocks, Twilightstar paid her little mind until she immediately began growling at the ThunderClan cats for not belonging up here. The usual patience and understanding WindClan's leader's irritation turned into annoyance as Sundust, ThunderClan's medicine cat, arrived to tell Dawnstar that he had given the warriors permission to sit up here and to apparently not put her nose into ThunderClan's business. So Twilightstar really loathed agreeing with the very she-cat who's sent so many of her clanmates to StarClan well before their time, but this once she could see sense in Dawnstar's words.

Yuck, Twilightstar felt a brief bout of nausea hit at the mere thought of agreeing with the ShadowClan leader. Still, Twilightstar was mature enough to put aside her disdain for the leader to hear her out. Dawnstar didn't seem to belittle ThunderClan in any sense, it sounded like she was genuinely frustrated with their lack of leadership. Even though ThunderClan continued to throw barbs at dark molly, Dawnstar remained focused on ThunderClan's inability to pick a clan leader. Twilightstar didn't flinch as a pair of bright amber eyes stared at her almost accusingly as Dawnstar spat at her last few words. The WindClan leader sighed, she has been ignoring ThunderClan's lack of leadership, trying to sympathize, empathize, and let them get their act together on their own. Still, their last gathering showed how easy it was for a clan to descend into chaos without a clan leader or deputy around. Now let's see if she how to approach this without ruffling fur or causing too much drama. They still had a gathering and announcement to get through.

"As much as it disturbs me to admit, Dawnstar's concerns hold some merit. If you wanted to come and sit upon the seastones, regardless of which stone you sit on, I do believe asking how the rest of the high ranks feel about it would have been at least considerate." Twilightstar meowed to all three warriors and their medicine cat. Sundust might have been ThunderClan's medicine cat, but all three leaders outranked him whether he liked it or not. Twilightstar left out her personal feeling about the medicine cat being around to bicker with Dawnstar about who could sit upon the Seastones yet was nowhere to be found when his clan was causing havoc at the last gathering. If he was going to claim responsibility for his clanmates, he should be around to do so.

The she-cat dropped her gaze to Cindersky who had attempted to refute Dawnstar's words with less maturity and more hostility and threats than Twilightstar felt was needed. If Dawnstar were tossing at threats of her own, Twilightstar could understand the defensiveness but it sounded to her that she just genuinely wanted ThunderClan to find a leader. "I'm going to put this bluntly, so you all can take this however you like, but it has been several moons that ThunderClan has gone without a leader. This is the longest I've seen a clan go without picking a new leader and in a sense, it completely breaks Clan tradition. Breaking the code is one thing, whether we like it or not, all the clans have broken or bent a rule or two whether we want to admit it or not, however traditions, at least to me, are different." Twilightstar tone remained as serenity and composed as ever. She waved her tail in the direction of the clans' deputies and medicine cats.

"Traditions are what make the clans themselves and our hierarchy is one of the most important parts of those traditions. As great as it is to hear that ThunderClan is slowly getting its paws underneath them, you still have no clan leader or deputy. It's gotten to a point that ignoring this would be insulting to the Clans themselves." Twilightstar wasn't looking at who fought who, who stole whose territory, who killed who, who broke which code, who fought with or without honor. No, those issues were petty compared to ThunderClan's breach in ranks. They said they got new warriors, warriors were granted their rank and name by leaders, and not even Dawnstar broke traditions like those. Considering Sundust wasn't speaking for his clan, Twilightstar could only assume that it was the warriors who may have promoted the new warriors.

It did feel like ThunderClan was mocking the rest of the clans who were sticking to tradition, even if they weren't following the code one hundred percent. If ThunderClan wanted to be treated and have the same say as the rest of the clans, shouldn't they follow their traditions and focus on finding a new leader? Yes, territory was important but unless RiverClan had been threatening to burn it or something of the nature, the fight for the Cove could have waited. It didn't seem like ThunderClan had their priorities straight in the slightest. "How much longer is ThunderClan going to go on without a leader?" It might be time to gather all of the high ranks and discuss ThunderClan's situation if this problem persisted. They've all, well excluding Dawnstar's rather terrible attempt at rulin- helping ThunderClan, have been turning a blind eye to this for long enough.

Cindersky
And there it was. Perhaps the one leader she had been waiting to hear from, the one she held the most respect for because of her longevity and wisdom. Her agreement with Dawnstar left a bad taste in her mouth, and disappointment blossomed within her chest. She had hoped that the lilac she-cat would see that, despite not having a leader or deputy, that ThunderClan was regaining its footing - but it appeared that simply because they lacked the necessary authority figures that was not the case.

"If you wish for us to not be up here, then we will go. We do not mean to cause a disruption." At this point, Cindersky was really not up for trying to defend ThunderClan anymore against cats who were not inside their camp walls and did not. But voicing her frustrations would do her no good except dig a further hole for her Clan to come out of. The leadership thing had been discussed at the last meeting, but she did not feel the need to voice that to the other high ranks.

Her eyes flickered briefly towards Sundust, wondering what his thoughts were on all of this, before they moved to Sparrowflight. Despite their best efforts, tradition was too tied into the other Clans for them to disengage with it - and Cindersky could understand that. Being almost sixty moons she too felt closely tied with tradition, and breaking away from it was scary - and maybe a small part of her was also frustrated that Sundust had not stepped up to proclaim at least a leader and deputy for appearances sake.

"By the next gathering, ThunderClan will have a leader and deputy." Her last words were directed at Twilightstar, fueld by a genuine tone, and she gave her a nod of understanding. Shifting her gaze to Sparrowflight she nodded her head to the side, indicating to the sand below. "Come on." And with that Cindersky leapt down from the rock, her gaze moving to find Sundust. "Go ahead and speak for us, I do not wish to heighten tensions simply because neither myself, nor Sparrowflight or Jaystride are in a traditional position of power." She offered an encouraging smile towards Sundust before moving away to take a seat at the front of the crowd, turning around and facing the rocks.

~Mintleaf, He/They [RC]~
Mintleaf decided to go to the gathering, but he isn't really an enthusiastic participation. His clan would surely have a lot of beef with ThunderClan after the Firefly Cove incident, but he didn't really want to hear it. More lives needn't be taken for a piece of land. [OPEN]
~Rippleshade, She/Her [WC]~
Rippleshade had a lot to catch up on. She knew there were going to be some issues with the other three clans, but WindClan seemed kind of isolated from their drama -With the exception of the ShadowClan border skirmish- at least for now. Upon entering the clearing, she immediately noticed that RiverClan and ThunderClan cats were much more scarred than last moon. Perhaps something there happened? [OPEN]
~Tornclaw, He/Him [TC]~
Exhausted from Firefly Cove, Tornclaw didn't really want to go to the Gathering this moon. He felt like he owed it to Cindersky and the rest of his Clan, and to pay respects to them, however. He found a spot near the edge of the clearing, and lied down for a bit [OPEN]
~Ashsong, She/Her [TC]~
Ashsong needed all of the details. Her tiredness led to her sleeping through Firefly Cove. All of this was a neccessity.[Open]
~Cactuspelt, She/Her [ShC]~
Cactuspelt, upon entering the Gathering Clearing, noticed that her Clan was the last to arrive. She wasn't surprised, as Dawnstar never made a big effort to get there first. She was glad she missed the battle against WindClan, but she still needed to know their side of what happened. [Open]
~Shimmerpaw, She/Her [ShC]~
Shimmerpaw was sort of new to this kind of thing with scarred Gatherings, so she tried to lay low a bit. [Open]

Tigerfire stalked into the clearing. His sides and front paw were aching badly, and he wasn’t in the best of moods. He glared over at the Thunderclan cats that were gathered there. Finally, he sat by the edge of where the Riverclan cats were assembled.

Lionpaw, who was still minding her own business, was startled almost out of her fur when she heard the voice behind her. She ended up jumping into an incoming wave and got her paws wet all the way up to her ankled. The apprentice quickly bounced out of the seawater and plopped her bottom back on the sand with a glower. She began licking at her wet fur, turning to give the cat who startled a piece of her mind. Her upset emotions abruptly vanished when she recognized the dark black pelt and amber eyes. "Midnightpaw?" The apprentice gave an owlish tilt of her head while staring at her sister to make sure that she had the right cat.

Yes, Lionpaw has seen her sister around camp but they literally never talked! The last time Lionpaw talked to Midnightpaw was when they were kits and Ashmama was alive. The thought of their strangely put-together foster mother made Lionpaw's heart hurt. Initially, Lionpaw wanted to be mad at Midnightpaw but then thought better. It wasn't like Midnightpaw knew how her distance had hurt Lionpaw so badly that Lionpaw had convinced herself that had done something wrong to earn Midnightpaw's scorn and that she was some unlovable flawed mess. Nor did Midnightpaw know that her dismissal of their bonds as sisters caused resentment to bloom within her heart everything time she saw Beastpaw and Leechpaw get together. And Midnightpaw certain did not know how fearful Lionpaw had been that one day her brothers would lose all interest in the lilac apprentice and ignore her the same way Midnightpaw did. Her sister didn't know how Lionpaw felt because Midnightpaw was never around! The orange-eyed feline lowered her head before she could start saying something mean to Midnightpaw. If she didn't have anything nice to say she should say anything at all, right?

She was forced to lift her chin when a familiar gray pelted tom butted his head against hers. "Leechpaw!" Lionpaw meowed, a little more enthusiastically than was necessary. She was just so glad that he was here now she didn't have this awkward and strain tension with Midnightpaw. Lionpaw settled herself down as physically close to Leechpaw as she could get without irritating the hulking apprentice. "I was playing with the wet sand and trying to decide if Mother would yowl at me if I threw it at someone like snow." Lionpaw explained to Leechpaw and then waved her tail over to Midnightpaw. "She just found me."

Not long after her explanation, low and behold, Beastpaw here! Despite him not being around as much, he had been around more than Midnightpaw, and Lionpaw found it difficult to be upset with the goofball. He immediately went into a chatty rant without giving any cat any question or time to answer anything. Despite their time apart, Beastpaw hadn't changed in the slightest. Lionpaw wondered if she was being too clingy, she didn't see Leechpaw every single day, but he still made time for her when he could. Lionpaw could tell if she was being irrational with her siblings or just too clingy with them.

"I didn't know who was coming to this gathering, I've never gone to one before so I figured I'd go to this one," Lionpaw told Beastpaw, hoping she hadn't hurt his feelings. It's not like she had planned any of this, the fact that they were all together like this was weird but really nice. Maybe Ashmama had brought them together somehow, Twilightstar said StarClan works in funny ways. Lionpaw unconsciously glanced at Leechpaw, assuming he'd sort all of this out in his usual way.

"Oh, that's right, you went to fight at that battle for....something. How did it go?" She meowed, looking over at Leechpaw with earnest hoping he'd share that story. Lionpaw could hear the leader's talking, and unconsciously was drawn to their mother's voice as she spoke up, but nothing of what was being said pertained to Lionpaw, so she returned all her attention to her three siblings.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Lotuspaw | Thunderclan Apprentice | marshall + NinjaBloss ( :eyes: good place for vixen to jump in since lotus is insulting dawn )
A growl rumbled in their throat, watching the Seastones with a narrowed gaze. "Tradition, my ass." Right, so, murder was perfectly fine, but stars forbid someone who isn't a high rank talk on the Seastones? Rather high and mighty. What were they, elders? Windclan wasn't even like, a part of this man. Maybe they should focus on their own cats. When was the last time they had a new warrior?

Their fur bristled at the light tap on their shoulder. Lotuspaw turned around, looking around to see who wanted their attention. Yikes, hopefully not one of their previous victims of .. their crab rave. It lands on a smaller apprentice. Was this,, even an apprentice? "Aye, slow down. It's hard to read what you're saying. Also, aren't you too small to be here? Ain't there height requirements?" Lotuspaw mewed, backing up from Purekit. This kid radiated rancid vibes, they didn't like it. It was quickly revealed why.

A low hiss rumbled from their throat, "Well you have a lot of audacity for someone that would lose in a fight against me. " Lotuspaw did a similar gesture to mock Purekit, sniffing the smaller one. "Let me tell you somethin', rat. Your clan leader is pathetic enough that she ran from Thunderclan after sitting on her butt all cause a couple of apprentices wanted to come to a gathering. If I was fixated on my fur so much, I would wind up a crybaby with no skills. Maybe you should rethink your priorities, " Lotuspaw rolled their eyes, seriously? What was Shadowclan thinking these days?

They lowered their self to the ground, staring at Purekit with purposeful wide eyes. "You know what Thunderclan does to unruly kits who lack manners? We eat them. Desperate times requires desperate measures. Since you're so aware of how we are. "

~ Sparrowflight ~

It seemed that the antics pulled by Thunderclan's apprentices last moon may have left a rather sour lasting impression on the other clan's leaders. Well... The best thing to save face may just be to follow their wishes. Pulling her gaze away from the crowd and back to the cats above them, Sparrowflight offered them another brief dip of her head before following after Cindersky off the rocks and to the front of the crowd.

"Well, you win some you lose some," she muttered under her breath as she took a seat next to the older warrior. "But I fear that the longer we go without a Starclan appointed leader, the less sway Thunderclan will hold in this forest. Even if we keep our claws sharp, alliances and politics will work against us."

A hefty sigh escaped her muzzle and she paused in thought for a moment before turning to give Cindersky a half-hearted grin.

"But I'm sure we'll hold out fine until then. We've gotten this far with our own paws, so we can stand tall for a little while longer. No matter what the other leaders say. Respect can be earned back through our actions once the dust has settled over all this chaos."

That thread of inadequacy that had wound it's way through her chest during the most recent ceremonies squeezed just a little tighter around her heart as various scenarios for their future raced through her mind. It would do her no good to dwell on the possibility of calamity, but even so... she wanted to be prepared for the worst.

➵ [ sagepaw | they/he/she ]

so, the first gathering sagepaw went to didn't go so well. this time, they really hoped someone wouldn't get murdered.

looking around at the mix of cats, the bobtail sighed quietly. honestly, they didn't want to be here. they spotted the newly made warriors from their clan — rainhound, mistheart, a few others would probably arrive too. don't get him wrong, he was happy they became warriors (or he liked to believe he was.) but..why?? how come they became warriors, just because they fought? did that mean lotuspaw was a warrior now, did they miss it? they wanted to be a warrior. they deserved it just as much as rainhound, mistheart, stagbound, brightpath (who was younger than them by moons!) they were what, sixteen moons?

how come I didn't become a warrior, how come they didn't call my name? all because I didn't fight? haven't i endured enough!? her mind raced and she forced herself to sit down. was she being dramatic? he felt like he was, and maybe other cats would think so too if they knew what he was thinking. or maybe, they just needed someone that would understand the feeling. crowberry would.

~Midnightpaw~
Midnightpaw stepped back as Lionpaw jumped and got wet. Midnightpaw let out a quiet snicker before clearing her throat and wiping the meanish smile from her face. Her old side had come out there but she didn't like that side. She was working on becoming a new cat, changing to be better. She had to control herself. But Lionpaw's jump was funny.

Midnightpaw's amber eyes filled with concern as her sister lowered her head. Had Lionpaw heard her laughing? Midnightpaw shuffled her paws, trying to come up with what to do. She wasn't the comforting type and had never been in a situation where she had to comfort someone else. So, she didn't have any words to say. She was about to step away before she heard a familiar voice.

Midnightpaw looked at Leechpaw and his smile brought a smile to her own face. Leechpaw was the only one out of her siblings that had found her and talked to her. It had been at the last Gathering. "Hi Leechpaw. I just came over here to talk to Lionpaw but...um...we didn't get far into our conversation before you came over here." She meowed awkwardly, pinning her ears to her head. She was socially awkward but she found it weird to be like that around her siblings. It seemed that some things can change.

Midnightpaw's ears perked up as she heard another voice. It sounded like they were complaining. To her, it sounded like whining. She didn't turn to the cat until they said her name. Her amber eyes widened in surprise when she saw the cat. At first, she was confused on who they were, but understanding creeped into her eyes. She frowned as well. "Well, I'm sorry. I didn't know that I had to announce my appearance to the whole clan. It's not my fault you didn't pay attention." Midnightpaw spat the words out like they were venom.

Midnightpaw gasped quietly as she realized how mean she had been. She silently cursed herself before shifting the sand under her paws. "I'm sorry Beastpaw. I got back around a moon ago. I got back in time to come to the previous Gathering. I had to clear my head. I've been going through some stuff." She looked away when she finished talking, uncomfortable talking about her feelings. She liked dealing with it silently or not all. She didn't like talking about it.

Midnightpaw turned to look at Lionpaw as she spoke. Oh, right. Leechpaw had gone to the battle at Firefly Cove. It wasn't fair though. Why did they have to help Riverclan when it wasn't Windclan's battle to begin with?! Midnightpaw pushed the thought away before it could go any farther. She focused on Leechpaw, waiting for his response.

Sundust released a silent sigh. None of this was going to plan, nothing ever went to plan. But, he supposed that couldn't be helped. The best he could do was roll with the punches. He flicked his ear to acknowledge the medicine cats that approached to join them. He made a note of how odd it was that it was not Bounceberry, but two new cats who seemed to be serving as Shadowclan's healers. Interesting. His eyes narrowed slightly as he recognized one from Shadowclan's stay in Thunderclan. That would be an.. unpleasant coworker to have. Oh, well. He wouldn't be rude, just indifferent. He did offer a friendly nod to Cowpaw, who seemed to be the only medicine cat who at least tolerated Thunderclan.

His pale amber gaze flicked back up to the Seastones as Cindersky and the other two seemed to determine that staying up there with the leaders would not lead to a productive gathering. He returned Cindersky's encouraging smile with a dip of his head and clambered up the rocks.

Good stars! He could really see everyone when he sat atop the Seastones. And everyone could see him. Brilliant. Despite his anxieties, he sat up straight and curled his tail neatly over his paws. He briefly wished his fur had been a bit better behaved today (as always, it stuck out in the most unruly way), but he did not linger on that thought for long. Instead, he turned his head to look at the leaders, indicating that he wished for one of them to speak first. He was a bit frazzled by having the clan's announcements thrown upon him, and he wanted to make sure he had everything gathered in his head so he did not miss anything important.

Speckledpaw shuffled uncomfortably, he didn't want drama, he didn't really want anything. He curled his tail around his paws, looking away from the gazes of the gathered cats, before he had yearned for interaction from other clans, but now he felt unnerved and strange. He could only find his way to a hiding spot until the gathering would come to its longed end. He knew the clans would somehow stir up some conflict from somewhere, but here, no cat may bare their teeth at him.

The young tom's head snapped to the side to meet the gaze of a molly, his fur bristled, and his tail started to flick. He wasn't sure if he was just too anxious to say 'hello' or he desperately wanted her to leave him alone. He looked away from the she-cat, grunting miserably, if this cat said hi they obviously had no intention of leaving the tom, after all, he could only imagine how stupidly low-spirited he must look.

Taking one for his reputation, he huffed and turned to face her completely, shifting onto his hunches, doing his best to flatten his fur and perk his ears up in pretend interest, forcing a smile. He was just so bad at socializing, he feared this was really the best he could do. The midnight tom held up a paw in a 'hello' kind of sign and he leaned forward a little bit.

Mudskip got to sit for all of five seconds before an unfamiliar she-cat approached. He startled (despite how they were quite surrounded by chattering felines), swallowing thickly to buy recovery time. "Oh! H-hello. Mudskip," he mewed, attempting not to be fazed by her immediate follow-up question. Bit rude, wasn't it? "Erm, I, that would technically be Sundust, I suppose?" Not that he remembered Sundust doing much. "But in practice, I'd say Cindersky, Sparrowflight and Jaystride are your ring leaders." Wherever they were. It was hard to tell in this din...

"And no, it's not that unusual. I mean. It's historically unusual I'm told, but we've grown accustomed to their busy-body-bossiness." Mudskip had meant that part as a joke--honestly, ThunderClan wouldn't have lived another season without the tenacity and strength of the aforementioned three--and he hoped Honeyfreckle would pick up on that. Only a teensy bit defensive, the tom puffed out his chest. "What about you? Is it weird having a completely stable leadership? Must be incredibly dull."

Dawnstar had been arguing with a Thunderclan warrior on the Seastones, it looked like Fallownose and Snowleap were talking, so she would say this was a normal gathering. The only thing missing was someone dying. It always seemed to be the something. Hopefully it would be different, more so the death thing. Rabbitpaw wanted it to be a death free gathering this time around. The old apprentice sat down and waited for someone to announce something. Hopefully it was soon. She was already ready to head back.

Willowbriar's blue-gray fur shone in the moonlight as it made her short fur shine silver. She looked up at the moon as she walked into the clearing, grateful for the clear night. As the wind blew towards her, the green-eyed warrior caught the voices of the leaders arguing with each other. Seemed they were getting right to it. As she looked at the rocks where they sat, she noticed that Thunderclan still seemed to not have a leader. This made Willowbriar curious, and she decided that she would find a cat who could tell her why. She noticed a Thunderclan cat sitting nearby her, and was about to walk over to introduce herself, when something in the back of her mind made her hesitate, one paw in the air. Do you really want to go talk to a stranger you've never met, especially one from another clan? Willowbriar paused for a moment more, become slightly convinced by her own thoughts. Then, she shook her head, determined to ignore the voice in the back of her mind. You can do this, she told herself. Act the way Light would act. Become him, as you've done so many times before. Nodding slightly, she went through how she would greet the other warrior.

Taking a deep breath, Willowbriar trotted forward once more, sitting next to the Thunderclan cat. Just as she was about to introduce herself, the other cat spoke. Getting more into character, the young warrior became excited, glad to be able to interact with a new cat. She had to be happy, she had to be bubbly. The kind of cat anyone could get along with. "Yeah, it's great to see Thunderclan become strong again!" Her voice was lower than would be expected for a lean cat like her, and it often surprised others. Despite this, though, it was still full of friendliness. She smiled at the tom, sure that he would be able to smell she was Shadowclan. As a Shadowclan cat, glad that the other clan was becoming more like what they once were. It was her belief that all four clans needed to be strong to thrive. "I'm Willowbriar, by the way. I had a question for you, if that's alright!" Willowbriar didn't want to make the other cat uncomfortable, and maybe the fact that she was a Shadowclan cat wouldn't stick well with the cat next to her.

Skystar watched as WindClan and dipped his head to Twilightstar in thanks. He was about to respond but then both ShadowClan and ThunderClan arrived. It left a bad taste in his mouth when those who weren't high ranks stepped onto the Seastones. It seemed the seniors had it covered though, and Skystar had no reason to comment on it if it was already over. He gave Cindersky nothing but a glance
as the warriors made their way off the stones. As much as he wanted to smirk, he contained himself. Sky wondered about how ThunderClan's next leader and deputy would run the clan but he decided to not give to much thought to it as it wasn't his problem. With ThunderClan off the Seastones seemed resolved, He decided it was prime time to start announcement. "RiverClan has been managing. With the recent raid on our territory, we have had a lot of wounded, and some dead. All of them being apprentice aged.. or younger." Skystar still felt a shiver at that comment. A kit dying at the fight was absolutely abhorrent. Straightening himself up, he continued. "Snakeheart has been handling it however, and I expect our warriors to make a full recovery." Skystar was pretty confident in his former apprentice's abilities, and it wasn't like they had any deaths since the fight so he must've been doing something right. "In other news, Snowleap has been promoted to deputy since the last gathering. He was nothing but excellent as a warrior, and deserves nothing more than the high rank. Other than that, prey has been well. " Skystar then sat back to let another clan begin their announcements.

Honey’Freckle purred in amusement (I think that’s how cats laugh anyway) at the question. “Ha! Even though we have a leader, there’s always things to do. We can just talk to a cat who we have never seen before in our life but they just magically appeared because of character adding powers; like me! It can be boring at times but we do have things we do sometimes. Also, Mud’Skip is an interesting name, I’ve never heard something like it before! Why were you named that? Oh, I’m sorry! Did that sound rude? I didn’t mean for it to be rude. I’m sorry if it sounded rude! I’m not the best at making sure I’m not rude. But I don’t try for it to be rude! It just happens!” She proceeded to apologize for possibly being rude about five more times before finally shutting up being quiet.

Tigerfire growled. “You were attacking us on OUR territory, and you grievously wounded one of my clanmates.” He shot back. He’d much rather kill a Thunderclanner than watch a clanmate die.

"Only in defense. I have no mercy for cats that attempt to kill me, which is exactly what you're StarClan-deprived Clanmate tried to do, for no other reason than a piece of land that you stole from us. Of course I did. Did you want me to just stand there and take it?"

➵ [ Lynxfall | he/them ]

After separating from his mate, Lynxfall sat near the front of the group of cats glancing over to Snowleap. His mind was still filled with worry, especially since the war had not been that long ago. His lovers body was riddled with injuries, and he had lost his right eye. That sort of thing sticks with a cat for the rest of their life, but if there was ever a time that he was in a time of need, Lynxfall was more than willing to step in.

As he listened to Skystar speak, a wave of sorrow filled his body, feeling tears starting to fall down his face at the mention of the fallen cats of RiverClan. Though he wasn’t born in this clan, the thought of his fallen brethren was a lot on him. He prayed to StarClan for the future, hoping that they’ll all prosper. They felt a small smile form on their face when Snowleap was mentioned, but it didn’t last for long. It’s not that they weren’t proud, oh no- they were more than proud of him, but with the weight of the war still in the air, the lean tom had a hard time keeping his iconic smile.

➵ [ Shadepaw | she/her ]

As she and her father sat up in the front, she curled her tail around herself. A lot had gone on in the last few days? Weeks? It all just felt like a nightmare. So many cats were lost in the war, most of which being around her age. She couldn’t bear the thought of it as she let a few tears fall alongside her dad. She didn’t want to have to live through another war any time soon, but you could never know when you’re living a Warrior life. Glancing around at the different cats around her, she couldn’t find the strength to socialize with anyone.

Listening in on the state of the clan, she let out a sad sigh and leaned against Lynxfall. She was thankful they were able to manage, but at what cost? With so many injured and some dead, she wondered who’s faces she was going to miss back home. Glancing at Snowleap as it was mentioned that he was deputy, she felt a small purr rumble in her chest. She was happy for him. Being deputy was no easy feat she was sure, it was a lot of responsibility. She remained silent as the Gathering played out.

Cindersky
Her whiskers twitched at the comment made by Sparrowflight as the younger she-cat joined her. Part of her wondered if it was smart to not reveal to the other Clans that ThunderClan had in fact voted on their current leadership issue - but now the time for any such thing was passed.

Catching the grin, Cindersky returned a soft one of her own. "We have, and we will. There is a long road ahead of us but I am certain we will be able to make it through." A belief she held strongly, especially since the last meeting and seeing how many new warriors had been made.

With the announcements starting, it appeared the RiverClan leader had no reaction to what was said, and once again Cindersky was reminded of the fact that reaction was perhaps not his strongest suit. Sparrowflight had yowled for their medicine cat or the attention of a RiverClan warrior after she had retrieved the drowned body of one of their deceased apprentices - to no avail. She had also dropped the apprentice at the paws of Skystar, who only moved to hiss at Cindersky and ThunderClan.

A fire burned in her paws, and she could not stand it anymore. Rising to her paws, she dipped her head but her fiery gaze landed on Skystar. "If you are going to announce their deaths, announce their cause Skystar." A narrowing of her eyes. "Two who drowned by stumbling too close to the water - Sparrowflight had to pull one of the bodies out, and at her cries for a medicine cat or warrior of RiverClan, no one came. Even when she dropped the lifeless body of the apprentice at your paws, you ignored them and instead continued to hiss insults at ThunderClan. It was your deputy who had to carry the young apprentice home and it is thanks to your deputy that your senseless need to continue a losing battle did not lead to the loss of more life. For StarClans sake, Skystar, why the hell did you allow a kit onto the battle field? Why did you allow untrained apprentices to fight in this battle?" Swallowing a bit, she shook her head. "I truly am sorry for your loss, but every cat you lost Skystar, you had the power to pull back; untrained apprentices, kits... Why did you send them into this battle?"

Her throat burned but the words needed to be said - and Cindersky knew that Sundust would try to keep the peace as best he could. "Meanwhile, it was a warrior of yours that intentionally held his claw to Houndpaw's throat and killed her." She remembered clearly, and now did not feel bad about breaking his rib. She hoped it would never heal, and serve as a reminder of his fox-hearted actions.

She stood in place next to Sparrowflight, her gave unwavering from the RiverClan leader. Throughout her entire time speaking to Skystar, though her voice had an edge, it remained calm and level headed. There was no yelling, no raising of her voice except to ensure that it would be heard by the RiverClan leader.

Breezewind walked over "hi! Rainhound right? thats a pretty name! i'm sorry about Deadflame interupting your ceremony.... he's an annoying furball, i'm Breezewind by the way!" the short silver she-cat meowed...
Rainhound’s head shot up as a cat approached, but she soon realized it was only one of her clanmates. Gosh—she was shocked so easily these days, it honestly surprised her a bit. “Yep, I’m Rainhound,” she replied calmly. “Um—it’s okay, I didn’t even notice Deadflame. My warrior ceremony had me thinking about different things… although it is quite annoying when cats cause havoc at a meeting.”

(Barkpaw)

Barkpaw spotted a young warrior, it looked like they had just entered the crowd. Barkpaw walked over to them. He was happy to see a kind cat come into the gathering. He liked kind cats, especially ones who kept their pelt clean and were loyal. This one seemed like one who was a good fit for Barkpaw. He walked over to the cat, "Hello, my names Barkpaw. I'm a new WindClan apprentice. What is your name?"
starry. (For Rainhound)
Rainhound’s ears twitched as another cat approached, and she flicked her tail to dismiss the shock. …How embarrassing. Could she not keep her emotions contained anymore? She was about to mutter a quick “sorry” when she realized that would make things worse. Plus, she was the warrior here, so no need to be nervous—right? “Hello, Barkpaw,” the molly meowed in reply. Her voice was collected now, and she didn’t let the stress of the past few days show. “What a nice name—I’m Rainhound.” It still seemed odd to call herself “rainhound”, not “rainpaw”, but she certainly preferred her warrior name. It showed that she deserved to be in ThunderClan… although she did feel bad for Bushpaw. If she would’ve known that he would not become warrior, she wouldn’t have requested a warrior name!

Well, look at that the whole family was together again... well technically in Leechpaw's head they were missing one sibling, but much like Beastpaw and Midnightpaw, Leechpaw had a harder time keeping track of Speckledpaw. Both of Leechpaw's ears flew back when Lionpaw announced her strange thought process of throwing wet sand at some cat with hopes that Twilightstar wouldn't yowl at her? Why? How did these thoughts go through her head? Leechpaw blinked his clear green eyes and would have facepawed if he didn't have sand on his paw. "Do not throw sand at anyone, I guarantee that our mother will drag you back to camp by your ear," Leechpaw told Lionpaw with an eye roll. He was pretty sure this weirdness that was Lionpaw would remain forever even after she became a warrior.

He turned his green eyes over to Midnightpaw, who honestly seemed to be the one he could relate to most of all his siblings. Lionpaw and Beastpaw were a lot alike, Leechpaw liked to think that he and Midnightpaw were rather similar in their own ways. It was nice to see that she didn't appear overly uncomfortable in their presence. Yet, the fact that both Midnightpaw and Beastpaw had to stare at each other for a while before recalling who each were was concerning. Had they changed that much that they couldn't recognize their own siblings, or maybe too much time apart had caused the problem? As soon as Beastpaw recognized the dark-furred she-cat, he began throwing a billion questions at her. One of these days he'd have to see about teaching his brother about something called patience.

Sure enough, Midnightpaw snapped at Beastpaw in her usual quick-tempered manner. Midnightpaw's always had the problem, snapping that is, it's been a while since he's last talked to her so he couldn't help the way her tone ruffled his fur just a little bit. Yeah, that was going to take some getting used to again. He never paid any mind to it when they were kits, knowing that's just how Midnightpaw expressed herself. He visibly relaxed when Minightpaw offered an apology seconds later. He assumed that his brother would take that apology without any issue, but just in case he was already gearing up to talk and smoothing things over with Beastpaw and Midnightpaw if he didn't.

At the mention of Midnightpaw going through stuff, Leechpaw gave her a concerned stare. What stuff? And why hasn't he been told about it? He was definitely going to have to see if she'd be willing to talk to him about it later. Lionpaw had been a mess after Ashfeather's death, actually, she had been a mess before it too but he never got to the bottom of why. It seemed that she had worked it out herself, so Leechpaw was wondering if he should offer to talk to Midnightpaw about her stuff or not He hated the idea of his littermates going through anything that he wasn't there to support them with.

"I'm shocked that you know what the word affronted means. Who keeps teaching you these words?" Leechpaw teased Beastpaw while using the tip of his tail to flick the brown tom's ear. "As Lionpaw said, it wasn't planned we all just sort of met up. It's a nice coincidence, don't you think? It feels like I haven't talked to you in moons. I found Midnightpaw at the last gathering, you two should have come to that one. You probably would have enjoyed it, the ThunderClan cats were going crazy. They were throwing crabs, and sitting on the seastones, they were even insulting each other as well as our mother, and mocking Kestrelstar's death. None of the ThunderClan warriors were doing anything to stop them, it was ridiculous. Then one of their own warriors attacked some RiverClan apprentices, Twilightstar was not happy. They were being ridiculous it's no wonder they lost favor with all of the clans." It seemed like something Beastpaw and Lionpaw would have enjoyed watching at least.

"Oh, yeah, the fight for the Cove. It wasn't much. There were a lot of cats screaming, and fighting, the battle itself was intense but it seemed to me that RiverClan was losing side well before WindClan arrived. I fought with Batglare briefly, that old cat had somehow got mixed up with three ThunderClan warriors. I briefly tangled with...Elm something to give the old man a fair chance. But then Larch, I think he's Elm's brother if their chatter was anything to go on, jumped into the fight and I was stuck fighting both of them. Granted, I'm pretty sure they were both going easy on me and messing around, which I can't say I'm upset with they would have shredded me otherwise. In the end, Elm played up that I had injured him even though I know my back kick didn't hit anything other than air, and Larch made a show of being upset about it or something like that. I got off with a scratch on my leg. The fight wasn't long, Fallownose called a retreat no long after we arrived, I don't even know why we came in the first place. " Leechpaw finished his tale and sat up to show his sibling the minor pink scar on the outside of his back leg.

"Skystar, that golden tabby on the rock next to mother... is difficult. It was Snowleap, that tall dark tom Fallownose is talking to, that called the retreat. It seemed like both sides lost a lot of cats, but he wanted to keep fighting. I'm not sure I like him much and I hope mother stays out of any more battles he calls." Leechpaw made sure to point out the high ranks he was talking about for Lionpaw and Beastpaw's sakes, in case they weren't listening to the announcement. As he waited to see if any of his had anything they wanted to say, Leechpaw's green eyes caught sight of a familiar-looking apprentice. Speckledpaw! Leechpaw rose to his towering height and waved his tail to catch the other apprentice's attention, inviting him to join Leech and the rest of his kin if he wanted to. He was family after all.

The Riverclan, or was it Windclan, announcements went in one ear and out the other. It was just the regular fluff. However, when Cindersky started her announcements he bit his bottom lip. He had heard the story, but it still upset him. What warrior-no what leader could do such a thing?

He turned his attention back to whoever it was he was talking to. Perking up his ears to let them know that he was listening. Immediately he had to hold in panic. Was that Shadowclan scent? And he had led by being disapproving of Dawnstar. He wanted to shrink away until he was just a speck! His pelt prickled and his whiskers twitched. He hadn’t known he was talking to a Shadowclan cat! This wouldn’t start a fight would it? A few heartbeats however, reassured him that Williowbriar didn’t seem offended. She actually seemed to be really nice! With this realization his countenance completely changed. He couldn’t keep a soft purr from rumbling in his throat, and he let out a sigh of relief. I need to pay more attention. He returned her friendly tone with an equally friendly smile. “Sure ask me anything you want! Oh I’m Pinecrash by the way. His voice overwhelmed with relief and happiness at being talked to.

~ TULIPPAW OF WINDCLAN ~ (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50110)

Tulippaw listened as Finchpaw listed off a bunch of her friends. She kept her ears pricked and her gaze attentive, making herself look like she was paying close attention to what the other apprentice was saying, but in reality, she cared nothing for her or her friends. That was a lot of friends, though. One of them - a large golden tabby who was Goldpaw, one of Finchpaw's friends - came over and said hello. Tulippaw drew herself up to her full height, flashing the tabby a smile. She smelled different, and suddenly she realized that the last Clan had arrived. Goldpaw smelled disgusting. It had to be ShadowClan. Tulippaw forced herself not to wrinkle her nose or wince in disgust, and instead twitched her tail-tip, turning away from the golden tabby and ignoring her. She didn't have time for ShadowClan furballs.

"Oh, I have plenty of friends, too," Tulippaw bragged, looking at Finchpaw once more. "Barkpaw, Butterflykit, Irispaw, Honeykit... and my siblings, Asterpaw and Fogpaw, are both my friends, too!" She was determined to have more friends than Finchpaw. Meanwhile, she pricked her ears. Some drama was going on over ThunderClan not having a leader, and there were reports of a battle that had happened. How dreadful! Tulippaw didn't care much for the other Clans, though. WindClan was her only concern. However, she was interested in gossip, and she wasn't going to pass up this opportunity.

"So, you don't have a leader, huh?" Tulippaw murmured, leaning in close and lowering her voice so that only Finchpaw could hear. ThunderClan sounded like a wreck - how could a Clan be leaderless and deputyless? - but again, as awful and pathetic as they sounded, Tulippaw wasn't going to pass up a bit of gossip. "What's it like? And why is it taking it so long? Surely StarClan would've given you a new leader by now."

Looking up she listened to Skystar make the first announcement. She remembered the battle as she was one of the Windclan cats had went. She wondered if that Thunderclan apprentice she had fought was here today. She wasn't going to go around searching for them. She just wanted to sit by herself, so she could hear better. Then an argument started about Skystar allowing a kit and young inexperienced apprentices to fight. Was Riverclan turning into a bad clan? She wasn't sure if their alliance would be broken after hearing that. It was good to have a friendly clan helping them and them helping Windclan.

"Say their names." A burning, cold rage hardened Blizzardwind's glare, and he stood up. "They gave their lives, their futures up for a battle they shouldn't have been allowed to take part in, the least you can do is name them." He curled his lip, and raised his hollow, mournful and furious voice.

"Swankit. Loonpaw. Mistypaw. Marigoldpaw." He barked out their names, fur bristling. Raising his muzzle to the sky, he sneered at the stars. The stars were full of crap if they allowed children to be murdered in a skirmish.

Willowbriar had noticed that the Thunderclan tom seemed to have been a little tense around her, and slightly terrified. She was worried that her low voice might have scared him even more. You're worthless. The voice was back in her head, a rough rumble. You can't even seem unthreatening to another cat? What a failure. If you were Light, you wouldn't be having this problem. Then again, what should I expect from a sorry excuse for a cat like you. The words filled her mind, leading her away into darkness. The voice was right. She was worthless, not even able to talk to another cat correctly. A sigh of relief from Pinecrash pulled her from her thoughts. He seemed to be relieved and visibly relaxed next to her. Had she done the right thing? Had she showed him that not every Shadowclan cat was as condescending as Dawnstar was known to be? The other warrior was even purring softly!

These thoughts brought back Willowbriar's energy, pushing back her unwanted thoughts. She could and would succeed. She just knew it. Just be like Light, she thought once more. She smiled at him, a soft purr starting in herself as well. "Nice to meet you Pinecrash! Great name, might I add. Anyway," she continued, "I hope this isn't a sensitive topic or anything like that. If it is, don't feel pressured to answer!" She slowly flicked the tip of her tail, showing that she was relaxed as well. "It's just that I noticed that Thunderclan still doesn't have a leader, or a deputy for that matter. I was just wondering why that was." She shifted on her paws, unsure how Pinecrash would respond. "Once again, you don't have to respond if you don't feel comfortable!" She gave him a smile, hoping that would reassure her words.

He tipped his head at her compliment. A good name? He had always assumed some cat thought he overly clumsy. It did sound pretty nice didn’t it? If you didn’t have the context of his personality to go with it that is. “Thanks!” He meowed with a nod. She seemed a little uncomfortable. Did she not realize she was talking to a Thunderclan cat too? He felt a stab of sympathy for a heartbeat, before she asked her question. Not every cat is as forgetful as you! The thought made him embarrassed, even though no cat could hear him.

Pinecrash had to think for a heartbeat about his next response. He didn’t want to say too much, but he assumed it was alright. It wasn’t a big secret. “Aw no it’s alright. Starclan hasn’t appointed any cat yet.” He meowed simply. He hoped that was guarded enough.

Speckledpaw, he/him
Skinny, midnight black tom with a white chest, belly, paw, darker spots and ears, and one colorless like ice eye.

Speckledpaw thought he must have heard something wrong, or heck, seen something wrong. His ears picked up on faintly familiar voices he recognized as his adopted littermates. However, he liked to note them as his real littermates. Their voices were only a bit far away, close even.

Now, it wasn't like they weren't in Windclan or anything, but they hadn't spoken since the incident. Since he had been trying to give them space, and give himself some space, he hadn't thought about seeing them again until one abruptly walked up to him or forced him to talk. Oh - yeah, that was exactly what the one he enjoyed the company of was doing.

He snuffed and huffed, he had just rid of a she-cat, who had already irritated him by leaving, upset just because he wasn't good at socializing! Hey, it wasn't like he asked for it anyway, she had just walked up. He wanted to talk to them again, really, he did. However, now they wanted to do it? He wasn't so sure he wanted to do it here, not safely kept in his clan camp where he could leak feelings and secrets without being horribly judged.

The short-furred tom begrudgingly trotted to his littermates, laying his fur flat and smiling, it was half true and half forced, it was hard to smile in these dark days, but he still had a deep love for these dorks even if he didn't know them that well.

Speckledpaw turned his colorless eye to Leechpaw, giving a greeting 'hello' with a flick of his tail and a nod of his head. Taking a seat next to him, while the other tom had been the one to call him over from his sulking, he was still the least amount of energy out of all of his siblings.

Willowbriar was glad that Pinecrash had answered her question. Maybe she was more sensitive to what other cats thought about her than she knew. The young warrior nodded to the Thunderclan cat, accepting his response. "Well, I hope you guys get the sign you're looking for soon!" That was definitely something her brother, Light, would have said in this situation. If only he was the one here at the gathering right now, not her. Though, she was sort of curious about the cat sitting next to her. While thinking about the next subject she wanted to talk about, Willowbriar studied the cat next to her. She was lean for a Shadowclan cat, and her long legs made her taller than the average cat, but she didn't compare to Pinecrash. Her short coat didn't leave her anything to hide behind to make her seem at least slightly bigger. With his fluffy pelt and large size, the yellow-eyed tom made her feel very small. She assumed she would probably be able to hide in his shadow!

Deciding that she should speak again, Willowbriar decided on a topic she was always pretty interested in. "Do you have an apprentice," she asked excitedly, her ears pricked. She continued on, not allowing her brain any time to think and start to doubt itself. "I only became a warrior a couple of moons ago, so I haven't been able to have an apprentice yet. I've always loved the idea of one having though! I think it would be great to pass on what I've learned to a younger cat. Also, it never hurts to have another friend! That's what I always say at least." She paused here, breathing in the fresh night air. She enjoyed talking about things like this that excited her, at least that's what she told herself. "I'd love to figure out their personality and see all their little quirks and stuff like that. I can't wait to have that chance!" Realizing she had talked quite a bit, Willowbriar glanced at Pinecrash apoligetically. "Sorry for talking so much," she said embarrassingly.

>Bumblebreak<
Well, well, well, it seemed Bumblebreak had arrived on the scene just as things were getting good. She caught the tail-end of Skystar's announcment and immediately hurried over to stand by Cindersky. She'd stay off the rock this time (as long as those already up there didn't say something stupid that made them deserve to deal with her) but was absolutely going to stand as close as possible to it.

She hadn't even been here two minutes and already her fur was bristling. At this point, she could care less about ShadowClan and their little invasion of her camp—all of her ire was toward RiverClan, and in this very moment, burning in the glare directed wholly at Skystar. He had no right to be upset about a few accidental deaths when his Clan had intentionally tormented hers over and over and over again. "Sucks to have cats who don't deserve to die, die anyways, doesn't it?" she spat up at him. "Especially when you could've prevented it. Sounds real similar to something that happened in ThunderClan's own camp a while back, huh? Be grateful you only lost a few, and that I didn't snap both of Snowleap's legs in half like I did with your other warriors and leave him out to rot. He's already a hell of a lot better than you are—and that's saying something—and I can't wait till he takes over for you. At least he has some sense and a heart." Snowleap had been the one to pull RiverClan out of the battle, and she hadn't missed the way Skystar had turned on him almost immediately. Heartless snake.

Bumblebreak was sympathetic toward those who had lost their lives in the battle for the Cove; they hadn't deserved to die for a pointless cause led by a childish, idiotic, utterly cruel cat. But she would never feel anything toward the cats who let them fight, or those who had enabled the loss of Bumblebreak's own Clanmates. Her lip curled in a cruel sneer, and then she really did spit at him - a big glob of saliva that arced through the air and splatted against the stone he stood on, just in front of his paws.

She had no respect for him, because he was the same as everyone who came before him, and that visibly showed in every fiber of her being.

"You couldn't even hold your own. You had to call in WindClan for help, and you still got your ass kicked. You threw a hissy fit over land you hardly use and ignored the dead kid thrown blatantly at your feet. You've got zero right to talk about loss when you clearly didn't even care when you saw it right in front of you. So can it."

Oh, stars, I'm late, I'm very late.
Padding quickly across the sand to join the gathering, the massive tom wove his way through the crowd, towards the Seastones. He wanted to be up close this time, in case Cindersky, Sparrowflight, and Jaystride needed his help. Making his way to the front, he found a spot where he wouldn't block anyone's view, but would still be visible. As he sat, he took a look around.
I'm near where the deputies sit. That will work. Just close enough to help if needed.
He gave himself a satisfied nod and curled his fluffy tail around his paws.

~Spiritfire of Shadowclan | Open~

Stepping from the shadows, the white-furred warrior watched with satisfaction as Dawnstar scolded the Thunderclanners that had been sitting on the Seastones.
Good. They don't deserve to be up there.
She stayed to the side of the crowd, pelt almost glowing in the moonlight. This had just started to become interesting.

Finchpw shrugged, "i don't know... Starclan must be having trouble or something..." Goldpaw, Looked at Tulippaw "You smell funny...." He meowed...

As expected, a few cats murmured their disagreements with Skystar's announcement. Cindersky, thankfully, provided context for the deaths that Sundust would not have been able to. A Riverclan warrior announced the deceased's names, and scorned Skystar for brushing past them, which earned a nod of respect from the medicine cat. It was heartbreaking to hear of a kit dying in battle though - how had a kit ended up on the battlefield?

Sundust's eyes widened with alarm as then Bumblebreak began shouting at Skystar. He certainly wasn't fond of the leader, much less how he handled the battle, but the new warrior's reaction was uncalled for. "Bumblebreak! I understand you are upset with Skystar, I am as well, but this behavior is completely inappropriate. Please sit down, or I will have you escorted back to camp." He hated being firm, but it was necessary in situations like this. His eyes flitted apologetically to the Riverclan leader, though his remorse wasn't completely genuine. He was glad to see someone speak out against him.

Dawnstar wanted to laugh, she was not even insulted that the ThunderClan took to heeding Twilightstar’s words over her own. WindClan were the golden kits of the four clans. Twilightstar was the only saint who seemed to think of her clan before anything else, she had earned her right to be respected. Still, Dawnstar almost choked as she heard Skystar pitiful announcement about the Firefly Cove battle. If Skystar led RiverClan the same way he gave announcements, well, she would not be shocked if his deputy replaced him by the next moon. Who the hell doesn’t name the cats they’ve lost nor the reason for their accidental deaths?

The liquid golden orbs darted over to Cindersky’s protest, and once again Dawnstar had to refrain from chuckling. So when ThunderClan kills apprentices and kits, it’s RiverClan’s fault for allowing these inexperienced cats to be on the battlefield but when ShadowClan does the exact same thing to ThunderClan they’re murderers, killers, and tyrants. Dawnstar almost wanted to bring that up, but stopped herself. She’d make sure to remind ThunderClan of their hypocrisy another day, she had better things to do, like deal with Purekit who was here and yowling at Lotuspaw. Consider that none of her warriors were intervening, Dawnstar supposed she had to do it herself. Or wait that’s right, she had medicine cats.

“Ivysnake or Elmshadow, one of you go fetch Purekit for me. Have her sit with you until we done with the gathering. I’ll deal with her insolence back at camp.” How bothersome she should find a deputy just so they could deal with problems Dawnstar didn’t want to. Now then, Dawnstar was growing bored with the yowls and what not, Skystar was making himself and RiverClan look like a complete fool, and as funny as it was, Dawnstar was ready to call out her clan’s announcements when a warrior brought forth what smelt like a kittypet. One who was trying to give her kits away? Dawnstar cocked her head when Snowleap stepped up offering to take the kits... Great they had a home now, can they get rid of the kittypet?

Did the clans not recall this was a gathering?! Dawnstar didn’t even twitch a whisker at the fact that Snowleap just up and decided to take the kits. If a deputy of ShadowClan did that, she’d have them demoted or possibly exiled them on the spot. However, considering how incompetent Skystar was proving to be, Dawnstar didn’t blame Snowleap for making decisions on his own. She did find it amusing that the deputy wasn’t even trying to help his leader out of the hole he dug himself in.

“If you want the kits take them, unless your taking the kittypet too, get her out of here.” Dawnstar sighed, not wanting to waste any more time on this. Who interrupted a gathering for mere kittypets?

The tall oriental longhair then turned his partial gaze to the Windclan tomcat that was now playing with the outsider’s children. That was never his intention. There was this pleading emotion in his deep blue-hued eye. He had dreamed of becoming a father for many moons. Lynxfall and him had always wanted kits to call their own. Surprisingly, what the Shadowclan leader said was rather fair and not as cruel as he had expected from her. He simply nodded his head, but said nothing to the intimidating shecat. Snowleap smiled at Honey. “I will do my best to take care of them both.” He meowed, watching her bid the kittens farewell and disappearing from the Gathering. Alright. The tall oriental longhair then turned his partial gaze to the Windclan tomcat that was now playing with the outsider’s children. Mud stared back at Snowleap with this possessive emotion that the clan deputy had seen before in a cat’s eyes. “Please, may I care for them?” He spoke gently, taking a step closer to the three cats, “I promise I will care for them as if they were my flesh and blood.” The long-furred tomcat did not want to fight nor argue with this Windclan cat. That was never his intention. There was this pleading emotion in his deep blue-hued eye. He had dreamed of becoming a father for many moons. Lynxfall and him had always wanted kits to call their own. Snowleap didn't want to separate the two littermates either. It seemed cruel and unfair. He hoped Mud could understand that. He just wanted to do right.

Muds gaze wavers as the riverclan cat seemed to beg him, an unwanted windclan elder, for some kits, that mud had no right to. He looked down at the kits, then back at the cat. His anger seemed to melt away when he smiled and nodded sadly. "Could, could I at least see them sometimes?" He said quietly. He knew that the riverclanner could very well refuse, but he prayed to starclan, that he would be kind.

Peering at the WindClan tomcat for a few moments in silence, the RiverClan deputy eventually nodded. “When they are older.” Snowleap remarked, looking down at the two young kittens, “I wouldn’t want to have them be taken outside camp until after they become apprentices.” His partial blue-hued gaze flickered back up to Mud. “I’m sure you can understand that, right?” He hoped that he would. In the future, mayhap Snowleap could have them all meet at the border when the kittens are both grown up some. His tail swished behind him as he gave another brisk sigh. “Did you happen to catch their names? From their mother?” The tomcat did not know if they even had names, since the mother was so quick to rid herself of them -- for good reason, of course. Snowleap couldn't blame her too much for her choice in actions.

Skystar's announcements had raised an eyebrow, especially everything that came after. Apparently neither Riverclan nor Thunderclan would ever learn to take any personal responsibility. The clans demonized Shadowclan but here was another border battle where both clans were shocked and appalled that the other clan would actually dare to fight to win. Elmshadow blink away his headache, the bickering was tiresome.

Elmshadow turned to his leader as she mentioned Purekit. He sighed and rose to his paws, quickly spotting the kit, standing out as the smallest attendee, facing up against a Thunderclan apprentice. He quickly weaved through the crowd of gathered cats, keeping his eyes locked on his target. He stepped between the two young cats, giving the apprentice a cold stare before turning and grabbing Purekit by the scruff. Without a word, Elmshadow turned and made his way back to the front of the group of cats. He sat down, setting the rebellious kit between his large paws. "Sit still and mind yourself," he growled lowly before turning his attention back to the happenings around him.

The stench of kittypet reached his nose quickly after. His pelt prickled as his hackles rose. The kittypet queen was easy enough to pick out. Then Snowleap was offering to take her kits. Elmshadow's eyes narrowed. Leave it to Riverclan to use a gathering as an adoption center, and for kittypets no less. It appeared Thunderclan was not the only clan making a mockery of clan life. He was no fan of Kestrelstar and his leadership had its own blunders but under Skystar Riverclan was quickly descending to Thunderclan's dysfunction. He huffed audibly and didn't twitch as Dawnstar made her declaration to remove the kittypet and move on. If Riverclan wanted to mingle with kittypets they could do it on their own time.

Within a few seconds of asking Mud the question, the RiverClan tomcat’s ears twitched in surprise at the small shekit answered for him. “Sun and Night, hm?” He meowed, looking at them both for a moment, “Well then, you’ll be Sunkit and Nightkit now, young ones. Welcome to RiverClan.” The tall oriental longhair could feel many eyes on him as he did this, but the deputy was not afraid nor did he regret his choice. These two kittens would be his own and Snowleap would be their father. He sat down and beckoned them both closer so that they could seek shelter in between his front legs. “Come here, you two.” The tall scarred tomcat said with a loving purr.

{Pinecrash}{He/Him}

He nodded his gratitude at her comment. He truly hoped Starclan would speak to them soon, as well. Then some movement at the edge of the clearing caught his attention. His yellow eyes turned towards, what smelled like a kittypet and-were those kits? He couldn’t imagine what had possessed that kittypet to bring them here. She yelled something Pinecrash couldn’t catch, and a few cats started swarming her. They were meowing things to her that he wasn’t able to hear. Besides eavesdropping was rude! I hope there won’t be a fight! He made plans to rescue the kits if there was.

His attention again returned to Willowbriar, a bit abruptly when she asked him another question. He listened to her with genuine interest as she rambled. He had never thought of mentoring in that light. Watching a kit grow into a warrior, and guiding them along the way. When it was put that way it sounded so exciting! In his enthusiasm he missed her embarrassment completely. “No don’t worry about it. I’m a new warrior too! I wasn’t totally excited about mentoring. Or I mean I wasn’t against it, but I just didn’t think about it, you know? But now that you’ve explained it like that I’m super hyped! His pelt puffed up in excitement. I wonder what sorts of adventures we’ll get up to! He purred at the thought. Are there any kits you’d like to mentor? He didn’t know of any himself, but he felt bad not asking her questions when she had taken the time to ask him so many.

Sprig ~ Sorry this is so long! Did not expect to write to much :> ~

Willowbriar had also noticed the commotion caused by the kittypet mother. Honestly, she wasn't very surprised something like that was happening. The gatherings were always crazy at one point or another. There had already been some arguments on the stones where the leaders sat regarding the Thunderclan cats, but for the moment it seemed like the disagreement had been resolved. She wasn't close enough to the rocks to really here what the leaders said to the Thunderclan cats, but she could assume based on what she knew about the leaders. She only half listened while the leaders started their announcements, catching what they said, but not really focusing totally on it.

Willowbriar hadn't expected Pincecrash to listen to what she said so intently. Maybe behaving friendly towards others did more than she had thought. She suspected many in her clan would be surprised to see her chatting so openly and in such a relaxed manner to a Thunderclan warrior, but she knew her brother wouldn't care about that, so she wouldn't either. The gray-blue molly knew that some cats had very traditional ideas about being friends with cats from other clans. That somehow it would lessen their loyalty to their own clan. But, Willowbriar didn't see it like that. She enjoyed making friends, no matter who they were. Yes, clan loyalty mattered to her, but she didn't think she shouldn't be able to be friends with cats from other clans because of it. If she did have to make a decision about attacking or not attack a friend from another clan when her leader asked her too, she would attack them. That was just the way it worked, clan came first. She wouldn't hold anything against a friend if they attacked her in the middle of battle. They were clan cats, and they had to listen to what their leaders told them to do. There were times of peace, but there were also times where cats have to fight in order to protect what they had.

Willowbriar was surprised to find that Pinecrash was a young warrior as well. Though now, if she looked more closely at him, she could the youthful gleam in his eyes. She had assumed he was older from his massive size, and she felt a bit bad for that judgement now. But, she couldn't change the thoughts she'd had then now, so she decided not to worry about and to just be more careful of that later on.

It was amazing to watch Pinecrash be affected by the excitement Willowbriar felt. She was so glad that she had helped change his view on mentoring into something more fun and less like a job that had to be done. She smiled a little at the ground when he asked her the question. He wanted to continue the conversation! He didn't think she was boring or weird! Just knowing that helped boost her confidence. "I don't have anyone in specific in mind, no. I don't really know many of the kits in my clan, though I enjoy watching them." Watching their energy and youthfulness helped her have more energy and more excitement about becoming a mentor. She had always loved kits, and hoped that someday she'd be able to have some of her own.

"What about you? I know you said you weren't very enthusiastic about becoming a mentor before, but maybe there's a certain kit that caught your eye at some point? Or maybe there's something specific you'd be excited to teach a kit? Something that you loved to learn when you were an apprentice?" As an apprentice, Willowbriar had been the most excited to learn how to fight, mostly so that she could protect those close to her. But, due to her lean figure, she soon learned that becoming good at fighting was going to be harder than she thought. She had put in a lot of time and hard work and an apprentice learning how to use her lithe body to her advantage.

Dawnstar watched with a mixture of irritation and amusement as Snowleap took to naming and adopting the kits just like that. Once he got out of the center of attention, Dawnstar took over announcing for ShadowClan.

"ShadowClan is fairing well as always, and recovering after quite the beating from WindClan for the Sky Glade." It was clear from the wide-fanged grin on her maw that she was anything but disappointed in the loss. The way she smiled broadly, especially in a self-satisfied way, told the clans that she was quite content with the loss of territory. One would think with her temper that finally losing for once would upset her, but the clans already saw her as insane so Dawnstar didn't see the need to hide her mirth. Let them take it however they wanted, yet even though she was amused, she couldn't say the same for all of ShadowClan. She doubted something so minuscule would break their spirits, if anything she was expecting this to reinvigorate them.

"ShadowClan suffered some injuries but no deaths." Not that any of the clans would care for a dead ShadowClanner. "I've already told my cats to right the borders and to keep out of your territory. If you have any problems with ShadowClan in the future, I'd prefer you'd bring them to me so I can deal with them over causing a fuss with my whole clan. Unless you're clan still wants ShadowClan blood, my feud with you and WindClan is currently over." Dawnstar's amber eyes gleamed in the moonlight as she peered into Twilightstar's single green eye. This was no truce by any means, Dawnstar didn't do truces, but even though she still thought them bunnies, WindClan had earned quite a bit of respect from Dawnstar. Her vengeance was sated and her grudge over. If WindClan wanted to revenge or caused any trouble with ShadowClan from here on out, the deaths and blood would be on their paws. Dawnstar declared neutrality with WindClan.

"ShadowClan has promoted three kits to apprentices this moon, Heartpaw, Dustpaw, and Kitepaw. We also prompted Sharppaw to Sharpfang after fighting in the battle for the Sky Glade." Dawnstar paused, eyes locked onto Elmshadow as the tom when to retrieve Purekit and brought her over to sit with him. She had heard Lotuspaw's insults but paid them no mind. Despite ThunderClan's show of courage, or stupidity in Dawnstar's mind, in regaining their lost territory, she wondered if they would have even had to fight if they had appointed a leader and tried to talk to RiverClan about it. Skystar was.... was... well he was no Kestrelstar or Lionstorm that was for sure. It wasn't Dawnstar's style, but Snowleap seemed to be a big softie and held more respect than Skystar at the moment if the shout from the RiverClan warrior had been anything to go by. Perhaps a more diplomatic approach would have saved lives in this case. Cindersky certainly seemed to hold Snowleap in higher regard than Skystar.

She was hoping she found the older molly on the Seastones as a proper leader by the next moon. Cindersky was fun to rattle, she didn't quite match Twilightstar in terms of respect nor could she quite emanate the same tranquil and controlled mask the WindClan leader always seemed to be wearing. A few words about ThunderClan's lack of leadership and she snapped about Dawnstar's lazy warriors and whatnot and threw out threats. It was so funny especially when ThunderClan was trying to be seen as some great clan like RiverClan often played off of. Thinking of those guppies...

" I'll wrap ShadowClan's announcements up with stating that Elmshadow has been prompted to ShadowClan's new medicine cat with Ivysnake as his apprentice after Bounceberry's disappearance." Dawnstar turned her gaze from Skystar and then over to Snowleap with a curious, yet thinly-veiled hostile glare. "Naturally, I looked around for him, and oddly enough I found his remains at RiverClan's borders." The smallest of growls rumbled from the intimidating warmonger. "I found no signs of any predators in the area, and find it extremely strange that the body is so close to your borders. Has RiverClan taken to killing medicine cats now?"

It would be annoying if they did, considering Dawnstar hasn't even gotten to kill a medicine cat yet! Oh, wait, no she was supposed to be upset about Bounceyball's death... but it was so hard to be upset when she got Elmshadow, a trusted supporter, and Ivysnake, her adopted daughter, as new medicine cats. Anyway, Dawnstar was clearly expecting one of the high-ranked guppies to give her a clear answer. If not, well, RiverClan would be jumping straight into another war. If they thought they had something to be sad about with ThunderClan, Dawnstar would give them something to be really depressed about.

Skystar suppressed a hiss as Cindersky spoke. "It was your needless bloodlust that caused their deaths in the first place. All members, apprentice aged and above were called to defend their clan from you. To defend territory that wasn't even yours in the first place. How a kit made it the battlefield is beyond me, and is something that was explicitly stated against by Robinpaw. There's no way in hell she'd call for kits to come." Skystar only gave a moments notice to Blizzardwind, if the cats were something he wanted to mention then Skystar wouldn't stop him. Turning to Bumblebeak he snarled. "It would've been prevented outright if your clan didn't decide it necessary to outright steal land that was never theirs to begin with. Any blood spilled is on you and only you. You blatantly told us off for fighting dirty, and yet you broke bones. You can't even hold true to the things you criticize us for." Skystar ignored Bumblebreak's spitting and continued. "There will always been loss in battle, and I won't stop a battle to mourn it. This bloodshed would've never happened in the first place if you had just left our land alone. WindClan are our allies, and as allies they aided our battle, there is absolutely no shame in that. Maybe if any of the clans hear liked you one bit you would understand." With that, Skystar let Sundust handle ThunderClans warriors and he paid no mind to the issue for any longer because he had to deal with more issues. "Snowleap, you and your mate fostering kits doesn't concern me but.. at a gathering?" Skystar would've pursued the matter further but then it seemed Dawnstar had something to say. Skystar's fur stood as she spoke of the dead medicine cat. "What reason would RiverClan have to kill a medicine cat and of ShadowClan of all clans? We've been fighting our own war, we don't want another. Whatever happened to your medicine cat, it wasn't because of us."

Cindersky
An ear twitched as a voice spoke up. His name escaped her at the moment, but by the scorn in his voice he sounded pretty upset with Skystar. As he should be. To gloss over the names like that? To render their lives so unimportant as to lump them in with general announcements? It disgusted her coming from any cat - but a Clan leader?

Although, Cindersky had to remind herself of the cat she was dealing with. This was a cat who had fought under Kestrelstar. A cat who had tore through their camp and brought a bloodthirsty battle into their home. At least ThunderClan had the decency to meet them on a battlefield; RiverClan had never wanted the land as much as they had wanted to paint the forest red with ThunderClan blood.

"You would do wise to listen to your warriors, Skystar." Cindersky stared back at Skystar, unflinching from the venom that dripped like scarlet blood from his tongue. She could not fathom what cats in StarClan had seen fit to give this murderer his lives, but in a rare moment of frustration Cindersky wished to rip a few from him.

A commotion was going on - something about outsider kits - but Cindersky remained focused on Skystar. Besides, it sounded like they were being accepted by their deputy, and although the notion was respectable a gathering was not the time, nor the place.

Familiar scent danced over her and Cindersky turned to see Bumblebreak had joined her. She had a soft spot for the newly named warrior, but he would have to learn to bite his tongue on certain matters - the spit was definitely too far. Thankfully, Sundust reprimanded him (though she was unsure how much good it would do).

Dawnstar spoke next, giving the general announcements and Cindersky broke her stare to listen. New medicine cats? So that is who the newcomers were. She did not recognize Elmshadow, but Ivysnake was one of the cats who had been made a warrior when she had occupied ThunderClan. Interestingly enough, Ivysnake had done next to nothing after achiving her name, and Cindersky had to resist scoffing at the fact that ShadowClan warriors seemed to get their name simply by sitting around and acting scary.

Bounceberry dead at the RiverClan border? The senior ThunderClan warrior wanted to say that it shocked her - but it truly did not. It would not be the first time that RiverClan had slaughtered who they knew to be a medicine cat, and briefly Cindersky hoped that Dawnstar would remember when it was announced that Lionstorm had killed Rainywhisker (along with a queen, an apprentice, and a leader at the time).

Cindersky snapped her gaze back to Skystar, expression composed as he continued to not take accountability for his actions. Did he not remember how this all had started? Did he not recall how violent and bloody RiverClan had been when their claws dripped in poison and their fangs went for the kill? "I see you are not above blaming apprentices for oversights that you as a leader need to take responsibility for." Disgusting. So Skystar had relied on yet another apprentice to enforce the battle. How... fitting.

At this point, Skystar was appearing so frazzled, so disorganized, that under any other circumstances Cindersky would have felt bad for him. But then she remembered every single ThunderClan cat that had died at the claws of RiverClan. "If you want to know who started this war, Skystar, you need not look any further than your own Clan. Than the claws you dipped in poison and brought into ThunderClan camp in some twisted show of strength. We only took back what you so violently ripped from us."

His ignorance at the death of Marigoldpaw was honestly frightening to Cindersky, and she had to wonder if any of his Clan thought the same. "It is funny how you value the lives of your youth so little that Sparrowflight, a warrior of the Clan you claim to have needless bloodlust, had to jump into water she does not know how to navigate in an attempt to save one of your apprentices." At some point, Cindersky came across a realization. This was perhaps a worse version of their former leader, and she would be lying if the thought did not perturbe her.

Shaking her head in resignation, Cindersky took a seat. A sort of hollowed emptiness remained in her gaze as she kept it on Skystar, who was now having to defend RiverClan from slaughtering Bounceberry. "I hope Dawnstar checked for signs of poisoning," she muttered to Sparrowflight, having no more to say to Skystar on the matter. If he wished to remain blind to the violent crimes that RiverClan had committed against ThunderClan, and then have the audacity to be mad when they finally stood up and fought for themselves? So be it.

The only acknowledgement she gave Sundust was a quick glance and an equally as fast look away. If he wanted to throw her out, that was fine by her, but she wasn't letting up until she was finished with what she had to say.

Her burning glare fixated on Skystar once more. "So you weren't paying attention to who came to fight - is that what I'm hearing? Sounds like a you problem, so cut the blame-game crap. 'Sides, breaking a few bones in a rightfully-fought battle is NOTHING compared to the outright crimes your Clan has committed. Don't even TRY to talk to me about right and wrong with the stuff your Clan has weighing on their conscious."

Allies. Bumblebreak scoffed out loud with an exaggerated roll of her eyes. "Allies, huh? I doubt they'd want anything to do with you if they knew about all the dung you pulled. We still beat you to smithereens even with your extra help, so maybe you should try flying solo next time. You know, doing things on your own. Without cheap tricks."

She eyed him for a moment longer as Dawnstar went about her announcements, flicked an ear an acknowledgment of Cindersky's own words. It was times like these that she wished she possessed the older she-cat's level tone and smooth words, but it seemed she was predisposed to baring her teeth. A cruel sneer curled her lip once more.

"You know what I think? I think you care more about public image and reputation than you care for your Clan. I think you're a heartless, callous, VILE cat, and it's pretty freakin' pathetic to see. The deaths on your side were unfortunate accidents, but I know damn well that one of your warriors intentionally ripped out my sister's throat without a second thought. And, stars ABOVE, you've moved on to murdering medicine cats now?" Yeah, she hadn't missed that part of Dawnstar's announcement, and her tone was all venemous contempt as she carried on. "ThunderClan wasn't enough for you, huh? Guess we can add Bounceberry's name to the growing list of unnecessary deaths you've caused. I wonder what your StarClan thinks of you."

Her eyes flitted over to Dawnstar. "You best keep an eye on the border you share with him, because if he's anything like Kestrelstar, he might try to slaughter a patrol or two."

With a low growl, her gaze slid back over to Skystar. "You disgust me. I hope you rot in hell, and I hope your trip there comes sooner rather than later." And on that final note, Bumblebreak turned around with a lash of her tail and strode right for the ocean's edge, where she let the waves begin to lap at her paws.

Mudskip liked to think he was...decently intelligent, but perhaps not, because all he could do was stare in confusion (which must look to Honey like he was trying to ward off a sneeze). "Character-adding...powers?" What on earth? Before he could inquire about her strange language, Honeyfreckle dove off on some other tangent.

...He was absolutely lost on how to proceed. "No, it's all right," Mudskip acknowledged the apology (if it could be properly categorized as one), trying to smile. "I also sound rude sometimes! But in my case, it's purely intentional. So consider yourself forgiven."

Oh, right, she asked about his name. Mudskip shook his fluffy pelt, emphasizing the brown splotches. "Mud is obviously because my parents knew I'd turn all my enemies to dust...mud. Skip? Possibly due to my resilience and creativity. Why were you named Honeyfreckle?"

~ IVYSNAKE OF SHADOWCLAN ~ (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50110)

It felt like Ivysnake had just blinked before chaos erupted all around her. Or at least, some semblance of it. This Gathering was not going as expected. Of course it wasn't. When did Gatherings ever go normally? Some cats were talking about a bunch of stuff, some sort of battle over Firefly Cove, ThunderClan was being salty, blah blah blah. And some kit, Purekit, was acting out. Ivysnake's dark brown ears pricked as Dawnstar asked either her or Elmshadow to get the troublesome furball. Elmshadow beat her to it, and Ivysnake gave her mentor a nod. "Yeah, stay with us. We'll deal with you once the Gathering is over," she meowed. And... what the shadows? Some kittypet was here, blabbering about giving away her kits. RiverClan's deputy was quick to take them in. Ivysnake rolled her eyes. Kittypets didn't belong here, and Dawnstar said as much.

Turning away from the chatter, Ivysnake's gave fell upon Cowpaw. A full medicine cat who didn't even have his name? Pathetic. He dipped his head in greeting, then began to make signs with his paws. Was he deaf, like Centipedepaw, or mute, like Sharpfang? That didn't matter. Ivysnake studied the paw symbols, trying to figure them out. Centipedepaw had all sorts of gestures that she was learning, but she knew that Cowpaw's wouldn't be the same. He seemed... friendly, at least. She nodded at him. "I was appointed recently," she meowed. She was sure he had asked something, but she hadn't quite been able to make it out.

Oh, now Dawnstar was making reports. Ivysnake lifted her gaze and fixed them on her magnificent leader. Dawnstar mentioned that WindClan had beat them up? She frowned for a moment, then noticed the grin on her leader's face. Dawnstar didn't seem upset. Ivysnake was confused at first; then she realized, She's probably glad to have gotten in a fight with a Clan that actually knows how to stand up for itself. After the whole ThunderClan scenario, Ivysnake was not surprised. Also, Dawnstar announced that the season-long feud between WindClan and ShadowClan was over. It was interesting to think about, really. Ivysnake had heard about ShadowClan's long history with WindClan, and for the longest time, she had assumed that WindClan were weak, pathetic bunnies. However, from her own experience and Redshrike's teachings, she knew that they were more than that. ShadowClan is still better, though, she thought, flexing her long claws. And we will continue working hard to win.

There was the announcement. Ivysnake listened as Dawnstar announced that she and Elmshadow were now ShadowClan's medicine cats in place of Bounceberry. She also challenged Skystar. The medicine cat apprentice's eyes narrowed at the RiverClan leader, wondering what he knew. First, he was arguing with ThunderClan over this battle over some stupid territory that Ivysnake held no care for. Second, he denied it. It made sense that RiverClan wouldn't kill him, but Ivysnake would keep her eyes out. Also - Bumblebreak? Oh, that was Bumblepaw, the tom who she had fought before. He seemed as bitter as ever, even accusing RiverClan of murdering Bounceberry. Ivysnake was a bit annoyed that he was dragging ShadowClan into a petty quarrel, but she decided not to say anything. Dawnstar could deal with it if she wanted to.
