The moon was full. Not much of a surprise there, but knowing that the Gathering was about to be in session made Aspenstar jittery. She didn't know if it was normal for the leaders to be anxious about the Gathering and everything, but the thought of Dawnstar being nervous for this almost amused her. The bullheaded ShadowClan leader didn't seem to be the type that would be nervous about hardly anything. But she managed to remain stoic as she traipsed up to the Seastones.

She had expected to see at least two other Clans already there, but was bemused to see that she and her Clan were the first to arrive. The startled reaction came from the history of ThunderClan´s most recent attendance to the Gatherings since her leadership began. ThunderClan had been the last to arrive to the last few Gatherings, but being first was a good feeling. She shouldn't be turning this into a competition against the other Clans, but she looked forward to (in her childish state) looking down on the others as they arrived.

The night was young, and yet the anticipated drama that was to play out already wore on her. Hopefully, ThunderClan could stay neutral in the unavoidable arguing that was to ensue. She wasn't in the mood to fight with anyone, so she silently vowed to remain mature and professional. Turning to look back at the Clan she was leading, Aspenstar raised her tail, hoping no one would do anything stupid, before twisting back around and striding over to the stone. With one swift leap, she landed on the Seastones and casting a watchful yellow gaze over the beach and her Clanmates.

Drawing a paw up to her face, she casually drew it over her head, to smooth any rouge fur that stuck up. To give nothing to the other leaders to pick her apart by. She was unpick-a-partable, by any means. Another sweep of her yellow eyes across her Clan made her chest swell with pride, as it always did. They were so strong. So resilient. And she was to do them proud.

ThunderClan has arrived

Foxpaw padded in slowly behind Aspenstar. She didn't love gatherings, but the rare chance that something interesting was going to happen was worth it. The russet patch tabby slunk across the Seastones to a spot in the middle. Usually, she would sit in the back, but all the action always seemed to occur elsewhere. Last time she had tried- and failed- to start a conversation with a Shadowclanner and ended up missing everything. That wouldn't be happening today. Today was going to be a good day and here's why: she had slept through the night; Thunderclan was the first clan to arrive; she was the second cat in the clearing. It was going splendidly.

With each day that passed, Kestrelstar felt lighter on his paws. Sleep was returning to normal, despite the numerous personal conflicts he faced, and with the hunting competition Sunsetbloom had hosted prey was running well and the pile back at camp was stocked. Mouse wasn't his favorite, but he wouldn't turn away a warm meal with the beginning of the cold moons fast approaching.

As soil transitioned from grass to sand, Kestrelstar recognized ThunderClan scent as the first to catch he attention. No other Clans had arrived yet, so in he went, slowing his pace as RiverClan fanned out behind him. Hopefully things would remain calm and neutral tonight - there were a few warriors he'd keep an eye on at least - and they could get through the announcements each Clan had to share. Well, besides ShadowClan. Dawnstar and her band of toads could implode on each other for all he cared - and from the looks of the last Gathering, Kestrelstar figured that's what had happened back at camp.

Breaking away now from his Clan, the gray tabby made his way swiftly over to the Seastones, leaping up to his usual rock and ignoring the slight wavering his missing toes caused him. "Greetings, Aspenstar," he greeted, giving her a courteous nod as he sat back, tail wrapping around his paws. His fur fluffed up against the rather crisp night time air, yellow gaze moving from the ThunderClan leader to survey the gathered crowd as he waitied for the other Clans to arrive.

Plumstorm trudges along, annoyed more than anything. After her battle with Yarrowshade, she'd gone to visit Snakeheart, but... He wasn't a miracle worker, and it still damn hurt. Furrowing her brow, she glares after her leader as he greets the other present leader. After another heartbeat, she turns her icy focus off of him and onto the beach. Time to go and hide for a while.

Sparrowskip
____________

Sparrowskip wasn't known to travel to Seastones for the gatherings, usually he just stayed behind and kept watch but since he had been awarded his new role as a Shield, he figured it would be a good idea to attend a gathering for once. As they padded up he noticed Plumstorm off in her own little world or something. He couldn't really tell but he decided to pad up to her and make small talk. He did want to get to know the other shields at least a little bit. "Hey Plumstorm, uh.. watcha doing? I don't think the gathering is over there." He said with the fakest chuckle imaginable.

Sitting abruptly, the silver cat barely makes it too far down the shore. Ah, well, she was close enough. Laying her head on her paws, the cat heaves a sigh and prepares to doze... Right when Annoying appears. Letting out a low growl, the shield-warrior lifts her head back up and scowls at Sparrowstupid. "Wow," she says flatly. "Thanks SO much. I'd never have noticed if not for you. Really. I owe you one. How can I possibly repay you?"

Lotuspaw | Thunderclan Apprentice | Interact only if you dare, Riverclan cats not recommended
hehe. hehehhee. hehehehee...!!

FREEDOM! Ooh wow, this was just - wonderful. Lotuspaw was truly brimming with excitement, their copper hues twinkling with wonder the moment they entered into the clearing. The wind was in their fur with the promise of an adventure and there was nothing that was going to ruin this event for them. Lotuspaw was finally an apprentice and this was their time to broaden their horizons.

They lift their chin up proudly and strutted to a nice seating place. Lotuspaw sat down and began to glance around eagerly for a victim friend. From this point on unless it was well, Thunderclan cat -- they were a whole new kind of cat.

Wormbite | Riverclan Shield | closed :eyes:
Starclan, at times he felt old and he wasn't even twenty-moons yet. The oriental hadn't attended the last two meetings simply because of his lack of patience to handle being civil at the moment. Rather or not he actually had that now was a different question. Wormbite wasn't entirely sure of that either. He supposed only time could tell.

The ground began to shift and the smell of Thunderclan hit him and now he was frowning deeply. Sand was now wedged in between his paws and this was another reminder of why the Dark Lord was not a fan of gatherings. Still he hesitantly took a seat, his misty hues fixated on the ground. Wormbite was curious to see what news there could be around this time.

Trotting behind Kestrelstar, Splashleap was quick to follow the leader to the rock. It seemed that it was only the Thunderclan leader at the moment, no sign of the seemingly quite sullen deputy. Well, all the better for her, she could make sure she had a spot picked out before the huge toms swarmed the deputy's spot. When she thought about it there seemed to be some weird thing going on with the deputies, it seemed Riverclan had missed the memo on having a big bruiser for one. Not that she wanted to be demoted of course!

Dipping her head to Aspenstar above her she settled quickly on the ground, tail curled tightly around her paws. It was getting chilly, so hopefully they wouldn't have to be here for any longer than necessary. After all, undue exposure to cold would only make every cat sicker, something no one wanted. Sickness and hunger were the worst enemies, and unfortunately she had a feeling they'd be seeing plenty of them in the next few moons.

Sparrowskip
____________

Wow, that certainly was a reaction. "Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the nest." Sparrowskip didn't know what he expected talking to Plumweirdo honestly. But, the beach was looking to nice to just.. leave. So he decided to call someone else over. "Hey- HEY WORMBITE! GET OVER HERE!" Sparrowskip wasn't sure if the dark lord would hear him, but he hoped so. "Well, it seems like it would be more fun to have some more friends over. Especially with how lovely your personality is today."

~Sparrowflight~

Padding along with the rest of her clanmates, Sparrowflight glanced around expectantly, before blinking in surprise. They were the first ones here?! A grin cracked across her face at the prospect of getting to snag a seat near the front of the clearing and her paws moved just 'slightly' quicker towards a nice dip in the sand that she spotted while Aspenstar took her place above.

Pawing at the sand to get it in a comfortable position, she gave a swish of her tail before settling onto her haunches. Hopefully there would be less squabbling than the last gathering. A shudder run through her spine as she thought of the callous remarks made by that Shadowclan warrior. Starclan knows everyone could probably use a tamer gathering tonight.

Shaking her head to clear those thoughts from her mind, Sparrowflight glanced about the clearing, offering smiles of greeting to whomever approached her general area.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Mistpaw~

Tail tucked low to the ground, Mistpaw tried to remain in the middle of the group of Thunderclanners approaching the sandy area that was the Seastones once again. She was apprehensive of coming to another one of these gatherings, but after some thought she decided that the opportunity to learn about what was happening with other clans and the potential to make new friends outweighed the risk of another awful spectacle.

And besides, now she knew the warrior code! She could act properly around the other clans and she could probably even tell which clan they were from! Allowing that spark of hope to grow in her chest, the small grey apprentice found a spot out with the rest of her clanmates and cast her grey eyes around the clearing.

A small frown appeared on her muzzle as she STILL couldn't spot Icicleripple. She had checked on the fresh bedding that she'd set up in the medicine cat's den, but it hadn't been touched as far as she could tell. She had hoped maybe she had been off doing some important medicine cat stuff, but if she wasn't at the gathering... Where could she be???

Worried frown continuing to grow, Mistpaw decided to train her eyes up to where the leaders sat and attempted to dispel her worried thoughts with a few concentrating blinks.

His ears perked up at the sound of.. someone calling his name? A confused honk startled from him as he rose to his paws and began to walk over to the source. Which came the tom came to identify as Sparrowskip and, his nose twitched, Plumstorm? Wormbite looked between the two, tilting his head in confusion. "Sparrowskip, Plumstorm... Hello.." He mewed cautiously, here he was. There seemed no real reason for him to be here and his confusion only deepened. "We're friends?" He questioned but shook his head. Still just,, standing there awkwardly. They were a little bit away from the gathering, perhaps this was a secret talk. Did,, did Plumstorm tell Sparrowskip? Wormbite looked to where he believed the molly was in subtle worry.

The molly followed behind the other warriors, taking her respective place at the gathering. Angling her ears upward, she could easily hear the chattering of the other warriors. Wrinkling her nose, she could smell the revolting fish smell that came from the RiverClan warriors. I better keep my cool..I dont wanna start drama at the gathering. She thought bitterly, bile forming in her throat. Forcefully, she swallowed it down as her stomach churned with pure unease. Her blue-gray gaze casting among the clearing, awaiting for any cat to trot up to her with greeting.

Let it be known just how much gatherings SUCKED.

There'd be another arguement between the medicine cats he was sure if they actually showed up, the group was overdue a conflict, and Snakeheart just wasnt into it. It'd be nice really nice if they could have a peaceful conversation about herbs and remedies to further their knowledge banks but..... Well it seemed inevitable if Peachfrost and Bounceberry didnt start drama him and Icicleripple would. Actually speaking of the molly where was she? Her clan had already arrived and she wasnt at the medicine cats usual meeting spot... Ah what did he care anyway, the tom reflected digging out a small ditch in the sand to curl in trying to conserve body heat in the cold night air. The real question was if windclan was going to be able to come or if they were still being ravaged by the storm.

~Goldeneyes~
Goldeneyes strutted a bit aways behind Aspenstar. Her golden fur was neat, clean, and fluffed out against the cold. She always wanted to look her best at Gatherings, to give off the impression that Thunderclan was doing well. Her giant paws landed softly on the ground and she dug her claws into the ground as it turned to sand. She liked the feeling of it and she liked feeling it before having to wait another moon.

She parted from following Aspenstar and went to pick a spot to sit down. She spotted Lotuspaw sit down. "Don't do anything that will get you in trouble." She yowled at them before sitting down a bit close to the Seastones. She tilted her head up to look at the moon before she turned her head as fish scent caught her nostrils. She paid no attention after she saw Riverclan enter the clearing and she just looked around.

Bluepaw padded with the rest of Thunderclan into the clearing until he separated from the crowd and sat somewhere at the back of the clearing. ~Fierceroar~
Fierceroar padded along with Riverclan, mostly at the back. She was a bit excited for this Gathering if she were being truthful. She was attending not her first Gathering, but her first Gathering as a newly appointed Shield. She felt proud about that and she sat close to the Seastones once she reached the clearing. She looked up at Kestrelstar and Aspenstar, who seemed to have gotten here first.

She padded to around the back of the clearing and she sat down, her black tail tip standing out against her cream paws as she curled her tail around her paws.

"Not like I've practically-" Stopping short, the silver cat flattens her ears against her head as he calls out for their Clanmate. "OH, YOU.." Turning to watch as Wormbite made his way over, the injured cat couldn't look grumpier. "Yes, hello Wormbite, what a pleasure. Please shut this one up. Entertain him, he's like a kit... No, we don't need to be friends. We're- I mean..." Looking from Wormbite to Sparrowskip, she blinks. "We are Clanmates, are we not? Did I miss something?"

Sandshrew (Riverclan)

Sandshrew trotted with their clan to the gathering, glancing around at their clan mates. They took notice that Thunderclan was here, their paws bouncing with excitement. They didn’t go to the last gathering, so they were super excited to be here. They could even think of all the things they’d talk to the other clans about. They didn’t know any clan secrets, but even if they did, they swore to themselves that they’d keep all of it a secret. Sandshrew was a loyal warrior, despite their laziness. They bounded around, speeding ahead of a couple of their clan mates. They were too eager, nearly slamming themselves into another cat, which led them to slow down.

Sundew (Thunderclan)

Sundew lazily walked behind his clan. He didn’t care much for gatherings, all it meant was talk upon talk, and he wasn’t exactly a social butterfly. His biggest hope was he’d meet someone of interest, or finally make a friend amongst his clan. He doubted it, but still hopeful. He’d noticed a couple cats around him, but he was mainly at the back of the group. He liked the back, that meant he could take his time, and stay distanced from others.

It was reasonable that she was excited, it was her first Gathering. But she was nervous too. Ivypaw looked around at the RiverClan cats, and a crashing wave of fear cascaded over her. Ivypaw turned tail, diving deeper into the midst of the chattering ThunderClanners.

~ ROSESHINE of ThC
The she-cat hadn't originally wanted to attend the Gathering, since Roseshine didn't want to see those stupid smug faces of the RiverClan fishcats. Aspenstar had sorted it out well, now they had their burial grounds back, but RiverClan still had the majority of Firefly Cove. Sitting down in the ThunderClan crowd, she watched the fishcats through golden eyes.

~ HAZELPAW of RC

Ah, her second Gathering. Hopefully, this wouldn't be as eventful as the last one. She'd hated her first Gathering. Hazelpaw sighed as she climbed up the rocks to the Seastones, and narrowed her eyes as she spotted ThunderClan. Hmm. They better not start drama. Again. Like last time. Hazelpaw glanced up at the moon, shining so brightly in the dark sky, and hoped that StarClan was watching.

Rookpaw was not super comfortable at gatherings. There were roo many people here. It hade her fur stand on edge, not that her her wasn't pretty edgy to begin with.
She also felt embarrassed at the fact that she wasn't a warrior yet. She felt it was about time. She wanted to train more intensely. Her eyes darted around nervously. She knew she often wasn't well relieved here for being a ShadowClan cat. Hah, if only they knew her personality, they'd reliever her twice as badly. But at least it would be dot the right reason.
The tall skinny cat sat down nervously. She flicked her tail viciously.

The large black tabby followed the rest of her clan to the gathering, her broad-shouldered figure looking much like a looming shadow in the darkness that surrounded them. She was silent as she pushed into the clearing, ignoring the sand that had nestled between her toes. She could deal with that once she found a spot. Taking a brief look around, she noted that only ThunderClan and RiverClan had arrived so far. Well, she didnt really mind all that much. While she certainly liked WindClan, the longer ShadowClan was absent the better it was in her eyes.

Drama was never her thing, and Dawnstar always seemed to bring an abundance of it with her wherever she went. While RiverClan was relatively disliked by Shallowshiver, the recent truce they had announced put some of her caution to rest. After several moons of conflict and hostility with the river cats, it was about time it all came to an end.

Padding over to an opening near the front of the crowd, the black molly took a seat and immediately set to cleaning off her paws, scrunching up her nose as the grains of sand instead settled on her tongue. The texture frankly disgusted her, so as soon as she was done she spat out the sand and covered the granules is a shallow cover of dirt.

Getting comfortable, she laid down on her side, orange eyes trained on the two present leaders while she waited for the other clans to arrive.

The three legged cat scanned the clearing with her opened eye to try and find Goldeneyes. She was new to the whole gathering thing, so she wanted to stay as close to their mentor as she could. With a flicker of her only ear she moved forward. After a while of looking through the crowd there they were.

Cloverpaw moved over to them, trying to get past all the cats. Never before had she seen this many cats all in one place before. It was a bit nerve wrecking for her. With a shiver she touched pelts to Goldeneyes. "Mind if I stay next to you. I've never seen this many cats before.", she meowed.

Yarrowshade was surprisingly on edge. Her pelt was scarred, covered in red scratches. After her little fight with Plumstorm, she'd managed to locate some spiderwebs to patch herself up. Whatever happened to Icicleripple wasn't reflecting good on her. On the other hand, she noticed, the little flame of a long-lost broken dream lit up in her. Now that there was no medicine cat, a new one needed to be chosen. This meant she might have a chance, a chance to finally do what she's always wanted to do. Nice, intellectual work. But she quickly tried to extinguish that flame. What did it matter?! You needed to be special to the leader and to StarClan, to be a sycophant. Yarrowshade had tried, stars forbid anyone knew, to be nice, long ago, to pretend she cared. But those cursed dead cats had ignored her in favor of some sniveling weaklings, just because they were "special". Sunhowl, who knows why they liked. Icicleripple, because she was the leader's little adopted family. All her life, she'd been overshadowed by the "protagonists" of life, chosen from birth for some great destiny. And she could never catch up to them. But there was an alternative, another side to the leaf. They could ignore your good deeds all they wanted but no one could ignore you if you ripped someone's throat out right before them. You didn't have to be chosen to be the villain. Or, so she thought. Because her rise to villainy wasn't going too well. She tried and tried and nothing came of it. She fought and no one complained. She was hated by most, yet the hatred was far from enough. Cats that had never spoken to Albatrossflare and Sweetsong hated them more than cats who had been harmed by her. She was sure of it. What was she doing wrong? Was she just...not good enough? She tried her best, didn't she? Her mentor, another one of those oh-so-important cats, had done her best to train her in proper work ethic, as much as they had hated each other. And when said mentor decided to turn to darkness, she still managed to overshadow Yarrowshade. In this moment, it seemed like, whatever she did, Yarrowshade just wasn't born with whatever was needed and would never catch up to those who were.
The dark tabby avoided eye contact with everyone. She hurt all over, not having received proper treatment. Normally, she might try and cause an issue with the other clans, maybe Stormtalon and Plumstorm, but today she didn't have the energy. They probably wouldn't notice her anyway. All the cats who hated her seemed a lot more interested in other cats. Whatever I do, I could never be hated as much as those other cats are loved. I guess, whoever they are, they were born with it too.

The gathering was just another gloomy day for poor Petuniapaw. She didn't want to miss out on this not when her mother was with her. They had both lost someone. Someone they cared about. Sure they knew he wasn't dead, well at least they hoped not. It was more hard on Petuniapaw though. Her mother hoped he come back, but her on the other hand did not. Sandshrew/Riverclan/they,them

Sandshrew slowly trotted to find a spot in the sand. The sand beneath their paws was normal to them, considering the fact that they were a Riverclan cat. They were looking for a nice sunny spot to sit down at. They quite liked gatherings, because Sandshrew was pretty social. Their tail swished as they looked around the clearing, soon attempting to squeeze through the crowd to go to the front. They had a step on a couple tails before getting up there, nearly tripping over their own paws.

Sandshrew had stumbled to the front, but that didn’t keep them from trying to find a nice and comfortable spot to sit down. Sandshrew found the perfect spot, half in the sun and out of the sun. They sat down, just so happening to sit down next to Shallowshiver. They didn’t notice her at first, for they were licking their paw and fixing the fur on top of their head. Eventually they did take notice of the cat laying in the sand, their head tilting in interest.

“Hello.” The golden cats eyes seemed gentle and trusting, right off the bat they didn’t even think that this cat could possibly be of a different clan. Even if she was, Sandshrew really didn’t care about that, since they’d take friends however they could.

With a shake of his fur, the short russet tom found a spot near the front of the crowd, which happened to be beside Shallowshiver. Rather tall, and a bit menacing, but she seemed okay for the most part! Plastering a goofy grin on his maw, Acornpatch turned to greet the tall black molly. "Hey, Shallow! Mind if I hangout with you for a while?"

If you need to warm up, you can get as close as you can to my fur, that’ll give you some protection from the cold.” She meowed. She looked back up at the leaders again before speaking. “What do you think so far about the Gathering? Apart from all the cats here. I never noticed how many there were, especially at my first Gathering. No apprentice wanted to approach me because I was too big for my age.” She meowed, giving Cloverpaw a comforting smile.

Rosepaw walked nervously, ready to jump at the slightest commotion. Yhggghhgghg! This place made her so nervous. Last time, she'd gotten targeted by a RiverClan apprentice. No natural calamity had occurred, though. This gathering, she wasn't taking any chances. She'd try and stick to groups of ThunderClan cats (although they'd likely avoid her, lest her bad luck affected them). Although there was likely a high chance that she won't be able to escape conflict even now.
She was thinking about that for about 4 seconds and not paying attention and, of course-

BONK!

She ran into someone! Great. The second she stopped focusing on survival something bad happened. She looked up at the cat, a scary-looking calico and gaped her mouth awkwardly, trying to say something, before giving a sorrowful look and sighing. Ughhhh.
"Sorry..." she mumbled nervously. Please let it go, please let it go, please let it go...

Sundew picked up the pace, considering the fact they were almost there he decided to get this over with. The light orange tabby tom was now padding behind sootstrike. The brown and white tom pulled away from his Clanmates and claimed a spot as far away from the main crowd of cats as possible, tail curled warily around his flank. This would be his first Gathering since his return, and truth be told, it was a little nervewracking - he was already starting to regret showing up. Sure, Kestrelstar's and ThunderClan's reactions had been tame enough, but the same couldn't be said for everyone else. Besides, shouldn't I be out looking for Icicleripple?

The thought pierced his heart with a guilty thorn and he winced to himself. Gravelblaze was gone, and now he hadn't even had the chance to see his daughter again, to congratulate her on receiving her full name, to just hug her again. He swallowed the growing lump in his throat. He was already here - it'd be odd to leave now. Anxiously, he wrapped his tail over his forepaws, brows furrowed.

Tumblepaw immediately broke away from his Clanmates and headed for the first open spot near the front of the steadily growing crowd. Big groups of cats weren't exactly his thing, but this was the first Gathering he'd be able to stomach attending, now that things were (kind of???) improving with Kestrelstar. He watched the two leaders on the stone apprehensively, noting that there didn't seem to be any sort of hostility between the two. His shoulders fell, less tense than before.

~Mistpaw~

Mistpaw's attention was grabbed by another Thunderclan warrior moving to the side of the clearing. Blinking in confusion at his face, Mistpaw came to the rather startling conclusion that she wasn't the only nervous one here. Apparently even full-grown warriors could be nervous! It took her a moment of thinking, grey eyes flitting over the cat's visage before recognizing him as Buck... Buckbranch? Yeah, the cat that Aspenstar had said 'returned' to Thunderclan in a weird tone of voice.

Well... Shifting her gaze to glance around and not seeing any of her kin around, she decided to go out on a limb and attempt to make a new friend. Pushing herself back up onto her paws, the small grey cat padded cautiously over to the older warrior before awkwardly dipping her head in greeting to them.

"Uh hi... My name's Mistpaw, you're Buckbranch right?"

Oh goodness her voice was catching in her throat. Clearing it quickly, she continued.

"Would you mind if I uh... if I sat with you tonight? My last gathering... wasn't very fun."

Eyes were on him. He could feel them from across the stones, practically boring into the side of his head, and he shifted uncomfortably. It took everything he had not to turn and find the source of the stare, and he fought to see out of the corner of his eye. There, movement. Was that-? Oh, no, now he felt bad.

He turned to smile at the apprentice that approached him. "Hello, Mistpaw," he greeted warmly. "Yes, that's me. It's nice to meet you. You can absolutely sit here, I'm sorry your last Gathering didn't go very well." He scooted over a touch and patted the space beside him with a paw, inviting her to sit.

The last Gathering had been pretty eventful, what with ShadowClan completely losing its cool, and as Bumblepaw crossed the stretch of stones to join the ever-growing crowd, he wondered vaguely if this one would be as well. Ha. Stupid ShadowClan. Can't even keep their own damn cats in line.

He claimed a spot near the edge of the crowd, expression expectant but also oddly vacant. He was hoping to avoid a certain gray-toned she-cat this evening - so MAYBE he didn't hate being around her very much anymore but she was still annoying. Far too loud. Ugh.

Bouncing across the leaf-fall cold sand, Cinderpaw ecstatically glanced over the assembly of both clanmates and rival clans before her. Even if nobody talked to her last time, she was still practically buzzing with excitement; It was a gathering! How could she not be excited?!

As she weaved through the crowd, Cinderpaw looked eagerly around for anyone to chat with. Of course it couldn't be any of those fish-faces, because who knows? They could come over and scratch her up again and probably not even get in trouble for it. They were all dangerous, even if she was way bigger than she was on that night. Her forest-fire eyes searched for anyone without a distinctly seafood-like scent, her eyes landed on...

Hah. Haha, of course! Who else would be better to irritate spend time with than Bumblepaw? She took a few excited bounds up behind him, creeping slower and slower as she got closer behind the other apprentice. She leaned forward with a cheeky smirk as she placed a paw on his back to attempt to shove him. Not too hard, but maybe if she was lucky the tabby would faceplant into the sand.

Well, that wasn't quite her name, but a small smile cracked across her muzzle at the warrior's attempt to make her feel welcome. Quickly moving to the offered seat next to Buckbranch, Mistpaw settled onto her haunches and glanced up to her new seating buddy.

"So um... Aspenstar said you'd returned. Where did you return from? Were you exploring?" she asked, curiosity peaked at the prospect of cats coming back from far away adventures. Maybe Icicleripple was on one of those, and that's why she hadn't come back yet. But wait, maybe that was too personal a question for a cat she'd just met?! "I mean, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I was just curious."

Oh boy, she'd fall over if she back pedaled harder than that. Stifling a cringe at her own behavior, Mistpaw brought her gaze to her paws in embarrassment.

Ran into Kestrelstar on my return to ThunderClan territory and got to speak with him."

"OOPH!" He yelped as a paw shoved him forward and he fell muzzle first into the sand - and then he rolled over back onto his feet immediately, a furious glare overtaking his sand-dusted features. "DAMMIT, Cinderpaw, I am going to DRAG you out to the ocean and leave you there!" He reached forward to shove her in the shoulder, spitting out grains of sand.

Well, this was going to be a boring one. The gleaming amber eyes sweep over the two clans that had arrived before them. Her favorite bunnies weren't here. Even though RiverClan's proven to be a fun if not aggravating replacement, Bunnystar and her band of hares would always hold a place in Dawnstar's shriveled heart. She supposed it couldn't be helped, however, with their issues. The leader strolled into the clearing without a word and bunched up her muscles to leap up onto the rocks, furthest away from the two leaders.

She had no plans on stirring up any trouble this gathering, she'd keep ShadowClan to themselves for a bit. Leafbare was a double-edged claw and on its way. Dawnstar had more important things to focus on, plus, if she had to listen to Kestrelstar spew how RiverClan could do no wrong longer than tolerable, Dawnstar swore her ears would bleed. She'd rather lose a life choking on her own hairball, it would be far more pleasant. Bickering with the fish got her nowhere. The leader spotted Rookpaw already here among the clans, she huffed to herself and rolled her eyes. She wasn't sure how many times she was going to tell cats not to head out before her. A minor offense, but annoying nonetheless.

Oh, and look at that. Hadn't he died or something? The leader cocked her head in a confused motioned but straightened up seconds later. StarClan probably had a paw in this, or she had the information wrong. Either way, it wasn't her business so she pushed the thought from her mind. She cast her eerie gaze beyond the clans, wondering if the bunnies would be making an entrance.

Cinderpaw let out a fierce roar of laughter as her... friend? Enemy? Let's just say acquaintance fell into the sand. Her cackle rang through the clearing, probably turning a couple heads on the way. She was so distracted by this, in fact, that she hardly even cared when Bumblepaw reached over and toppled her into the sand himself.

"T-try it, bees-for-brains! You aren't one of those guppies, you know." She giggled, writhing around in the sand in a bid to get up. She couldn't seem to orient herself though. "You're a riot, y'know that Bumblepaw?" A riot to make fun of, that was.

She eventually managed to find her footing with all four paws planted beneath her as she shook grains of sand from her pelt, no doubt hitting a few of the cats gathered nearby. Plenty of it still remained embedded in her dark fur, but nothing could ruin tonight for her, let alone a little bit of sand! She flashed a significantly less vicious, goofy smile his way. 'Anything interesting happen yet? Except for me, of course."

Dapplepaw ~ newly made apprentice ~ he/him ~ ShC

Dapplepaw bounced into the clearing, his pale blue eyes wide with wonder as he stared around the clearing. There were so many cats! And so many smells!! His blurred gaze could not make out one pelt from another, but it was evident how crowded the opening was. He swung his head from side to side, taking in the whole scene, then tipped his chin up to stare at the vague white orb that was the moon.

Suddenly, his attention snapped back to the clearing as a thought occurred to him: He could meet new cats! His periwinkle hues flicked through the clearing, this time searching for someone to speak to. Perhaps an apprentice his age, or maybe even a warrior! His trotted towards a promising throng of cats, wedging his way into the cluster whilst murmuring 'scuse me's and sorry's.

Nervous excitement fluttered in the young tom's stomach as he shyly glanced from cat to cat. He still couldn't make out any defined features, but he could at least tell apart the faces. Even with the moon's helpful glow, it was still quite dim and difficult to make out specifics, which made things a tad confusing, but he was too enthusiastic to care.

Frostpaw weaved her way among the growing mass of cats. Ugh. She could feel her pelt prickle as she tried not to touch anyone. She always felt uncomfortable at these types of things. These Gatherings were nice and all, but sometimes they just felt like ways to make the Clans hate each other.

She sat down with a huff, away from everyone else. She would just sit through all this then go home quickly. Simple as that. As she looked around, wondering when WindClan would get here, when she saw a ShadowClan apprentice gazing around as if he was in StarClan. “Hey, new guy!” She meowed. “You don’t have to stare. ~Shadowheart~
Her paws dragged slightly as she followed behind Aspenstar and the other Thunderclanners. She was overly exhausted, after running around the other day and attempting to get some energy out of herself for sleep. Well, it had worked a little too well as now Shadowheart could barely hold her head up. Blinking the sleep away from her eyes, her heart gave a little jump as she realized that Thunderclan had not only just arrived, but been the first to arrive! That meant she got the pick of a seat before it got too crowded. Once Aspenstar had given the ok to move forward, the black and white molly slinked down towards the Seastones, debating about where she wanted to hide out till Riverclan arrived and she went off to find Streampelt. Well, it looked as though she wouldn’t have to make that decision as the scent of another clan filled her nose. Riverclan. Turning on her paws, Shadowhearts blue gaze searched for Streampelt within the jumble of Riverclan cats, and once she saw his gray pelt breakaway from the others there was a certain hurry to her step as she rushed over towards him with a little excited grin.

~Brightpaw~
Oh no, no, no, no. Brightpaw hadn’t realized just how nerve wrecking her first gathering was going to be. The apprentice stepped carefully in the crowd of Thunderclan warriors and apprentices, her pawsteps following in the line with others. Brightpaw had always known she didn’t like new people, she didn’t like interacting with them at all, but this was on a whole different level. The new Thunderclan apprentice swallowed harshly, her mouth feeling like it was glued shut as she stepped cautiously along. She had turned to search for the comfort of Tulippaw, her sister, or Mistyshade, her mother, or even her new mentor, but when she didn’t see any of them the apprentice hung her head slightly and walked down towards Seastones. She settled at the back of the crowd, the blood roaring in her ears as she stared up towards the stones. A slightly familiar scent washed over her senses, and she twisted her head to see Riverclan arriving. Though the ceasefire had happened, she was still a bit anxious about them, and not shortly after that Shadowclan arrived. Oh Starclan, please allow whoever decided to speak with her to be nice.

Her paw steps were slow, timed as she stepped along the ground, ears flickering around while listening to what was happening. They had been the third clan to arrive, and yet Sheepglow felt no urgency to step quicker, and instead stayed in step with her clan. There was no need to hurry, she doubted Dawnstar would like the gathering to start without her but she also knew that the leader normally didn’t hurry around too much unless it came to battle. A soft sigh drifted from the curly furred cat as Sheepglow cast a glance around and thought over what exactly she could do here, and slowly she drifted to sit in the more shaded area. Her steps were slow, unhurried and calm as she slipped between cats that were already coming together to speak to each other, but with any luck Sheepglow would be mostly left alone, at least that’s what she hoped. A soft sigh drifted from her muzzle as the molly gave a little shake of her head and she lowered her haunches down, shutting her eyes tightly and relaxing now. Sheepglow didn’t want to get caught up in the gathering group, and knowing she wouldn’t was quite relaxing.

~Silentpaw~
Silentpaw was walking at the back of the gathered cats in her clan. They weren’t hurried, instead seeming the opposite as they stepped cautiously along the ground and listened to the things happening around herself. This wasn’t uncommon behavior for her, in fact, being cautious was in her everyday life, and Gatherings were now exception. As Silentpaw followed the group of Shadowclan cats, two scents hit them that they vaguely recognized. First, the scent of Thunderclan, one they easily picked out amongst the crowd of cats while she stared down towards Seastones. Then, of course there was Riverclan, the clan they were currently fighting in the constant war to be the greatest clan, at least, that’s what it seemed like to Silentpaw. Stepping cautiously down the slope towards Seastones, Silentpaws gaze searched the air as they pressed their paws firmly against the ground. A feeling of anxiety stirred in their chest, which had been expected by her, but Silentpaw still wanted to try to communicate with someone. As her gaze swept around, she noticed a cat sitting at the back of the gathered ones. Stepping up slowly, Silentpaw nestled down beside the tom and instantly knew the scent of Thunderclan. Using their tail, Silentpaw attempted to gesture a “hello” towards the other cat, hoping he understood.

~Reedpaw~
Reedpaw had a slight pep to her step as she hurried along to the Seastones, where the gatherings took place. A feeling of excitement stirred in her belly as she gazed down towards the gathered Thunderclan cats, and silently she hoped she’d meet someone new or even help nurture bonds between cats she already knew. Once Kestrelstar began his descent towards the Seastones, Reedpaw was almost right on his heels from the excitement she was feeling stirring in her chest. Her last two gatherings had been met with slight feelings of anxiety, this one she almost saw as a kind of new start to begin to meet others. Though once Shadowclan had arrived there was a tense feeling arriving in her shoulders and suddenly that anxiety was back. Weaving her way through the crowd, Reedpaw took a seat in the dead center, where her cream and brown brindled coat was mostly hidden by the other taller bodies of warriors and even some apprentices. A soft sigh floated from her muzzle as Reedpaw attempted to ignore the Shadowclan cats arriving and simply looked around for someone to talk with.

Shadowheart felt a little rollercoaster of emotions in that moment. First, joy when she saw the little smile that had lit up Streampelts face. Then, a pang of worry as she wondered what had caused him to suddenly frown, before a bit of embarrassment made her pelt feel a little hot at his next words. Goodness, she didn’t think she looked that tired, was it really that bad? Well, whether it was or not Shadowheart was not going to complain about being able to sit in a spot with Streampelt for the gathering and not have to fear being found on the Riverclan border shared with Thunderclan. Trailing behind the tom, Shadowheart had a little bit of a goofy grin along her muzzle as she was thrilled to be back around Streampelt, and quite quickly took a seat once they had reached the spot Streampelt had been bringing her to. He couldn't find what else he could say that wouldn't be hurting his clan so instead he settled on Shadowheart's problem. "What about you? Why do you look so tired?" Sundew/Thunderclan/He,him

Sundew was enjoying the lack of view, he couldn’t quite see the clan leaders much, which just gave him more time to gingerly pick at the sand with his claws. He had to admit, the sand felt nasty on his paws compared to the grass in the forest. It would get stuck between his pads, and the small individual grains latched onto his fur. He grimaced, lapping at his right paw in attempt to clean the sand off. He had been satisfied with his work, afterwords noticing the cat who had sat next to him. He perked up, but seconds later he returned to his regular bad-posture sit. He gave the cat a low energy grin that faded in seconds, he was trying his best to give a good impression, despite his dislike of interactions. But he wasn’t doing to great. He grumbled to himself as he contemplated whether speaking. The cats strong pine scent had told him they were a shadowclan cat, but that didn’t affect his decision much. He came to the conclusion that he should atleast say hello, to avoid being too rude.
“Hey,” Sundew meowed, trying to think of an introduction that didn’t sound too eager, but also wasn’t too boring. “I’m Sundew. I don’t think i’ve seen you around before, what’s your name?” Nixey

Plumstorm finds herself compelled to glance in the direction that Wormbite indicated. It was an impulse. Despite knowing, KNOWING nothing was there, she looked. Turning back to Wormbite and Sparrowskip, she huffs. There was nothing there. "Friends, what an accomplishment." She'd never had one of those before, unless a mentor counted. And honestly, that was depressing.

After another heartbeat, something else catches the shield's attention. Extending an arm, she pokes at the nearest of the two toms. "Look," she says while nodding towards the gathering cats. They were barely within sight but, she'd spotted someone familiar. Another shield had finally shown up, someone Plumstorm herself had never spoken with or interacted with by any means. "Someone call them over, I don't remember what their name is. Quick before they get too busy to come and sit here with us." It seemed like this would be a shield party. And, to have a shield party, they kind of needed the other shields.

~ LILACPAW of SHADOWCLAN

The former loner nearly fell as she scrambled up the rocks to the Seastones, following the rest of ShadowClan. Lilacpaw watched the gathering cats through narrowed eyes. She was terrified in the inside, of course, at meeting more wild cats, but Lilacpaw couldn't let any cat see that. Jutting her chin up, she sat down, ignoring the looks being directed at her, some openly hostile and some curious.

~ IVYPAW of THUNDERCLAN

[ Wicked Whirlpaw || TheNyanCatMinecart - time to get the three Ivypaws meet lol]

Stars, the ShadowCln leader, Dawnstar, was even more massive than Ivypaw had orginally thought. She was a huge dark brown tabby with glowering amber eyes. Shrinking, the tortie-and-white she-cat got to her paws, weaving her way through the crowd, to a she-cat staring up at Aspenstar and Kestrelstar. Ivypaw's heart thudded as she looked over her shoulder. Phewf, she couldn't catch sight of Dawnstar. Gee, that cat was more terrifying than a badger.

She turned to the she-cat who Ivypaw was next to now, and flattened one of her ears nervously.

"H-hey," she stuttered, almost in a mumble. Ivypaw looked at the she-cat. She smelled like fish... minnows? Must be RiverClan. Ivypaw shifted her paws, continuing, hoping the cat wouldn't simply ignore her. "I-I'm... Ivypaw. Of ThunderClan, um, what's yours?"

She cursed herself inside for being so nervous. Why couldn't she just speak and not stammer?

Sparrowskip
___________

Sparrowskip wasn't sure of Wormbites intentions of pointing him in a random direction but he kinda just.. brushed over it with a roll of his eyes. A warm glow filled his eyes as Plumstorm and Wormbite confirmed their "Friendship". "Really the best accomplishment, especially for you." He said looking at Plumstorm. Sparrowskip spun his head around as Plumstorm highlighted the presence of another shield. This was basically their own little gathering at this point so he decided to call her over. "FIERCEROAR! Don't think you get to miss out on this, get over here!" If she didn't come over willingly Sparrowskip would organize for her to get dragged over. "If she doesn't come, we'll bring her over with force." Sparrowskip said with a chuckle. He did wonder where Sagewhisper was however, he hadn't really seen the cat lately and he wondering if they would have to make the trek back to camp to drag them over too.

~Fierceroar~
Fierceroar spun her head to look at her caller. Oh, it was Sparrowskip. One look confirmed that his companions were Plumstorm and Wombite. She sighed before dragging herself over to them. She wasn’t up for a social interaction right now but they were Shields, right? She didn’t know how that made a difference to the situation but she sat down with the group when she arrived. “What’s this all about?” She had a hunch that it had to do something with the Shields but she would let the others tell her. She felt a small hope in her heart as she quickly realized that she wouldn’t have to spend the Gathering alone.

Stormpelt walked away from Bramblepaw. He remembered the Last Gathering He shivered. The Fight he had with the Shadowclan warrior where he had about His Mother Greypelt who gotten killed by that evil Shadowclan warrior. He was surprised he was allowed to come this gathering. He wanted someone to talk to he hasn't said a word to any other clan so he wanted to talk to someone else. But he wasnt gonna talk to shadowclan at all.

Ivypaw looked over, suprised. "But my name is I-Ivypaw too." Ivypaw mental cured herself for stuttering, as Ivypaw wasn't a shy cat, nope, definitely not, it was just that she was...... well..... suprised. She hadn't expected another Ivypaw. It was.... well..... suprising. Ivypaw was confused.

Ryepaw narrowed his eyes, his gaze shredding the crowd until it rested on a cat.
A peculiar cat.
They seemed to be scanning the clearing, but much less violently than he was. He could already tell she was Riverclan, for she shot a tense look at the Shadowclan group and quickly looked away, semi-tense and semi-ignorant.
She doesn't want to deal with Shadowclan right now.
He had noticed it, and he didn't necessarily enjoy the fact that another cat attempting to avoid him and his clan, well I guess he should just say his clan because he had never met her before therefore she obviously wouldn't be trying to avoid himself particularly―
Aw shut up. He snapped at his brain, which was going on an educated rant.
He got up, swishing his tail from side to side he padded up to them, and as he got closer he gave her his best, uncruel smile he could fancy up.
"Hello. May I ask your name?"

-Fogpaw- (Closed)

The apprentice felt the sand between their toes as their clan approached seastones, quickly diverting away from the crowd as soon as voices drew closer. Gatherings were a nice time to hang out with friends, and Fogpaw had a great time at the last one, at least before the leaders spoke; but boy was the noise overwhelming.

Unfortunately for them however, they were still a pretty small and fluffy apprentice, so they had no choice but to go towards the front and hope that not that many cats came up there. Padding over towards the rock, Fogpaw noticed another riverclan apprentice heading that way and decided to follow. Even though they had never met them, at least they she would have someone to talk to.

“Hi!”, they mewed, “What’s your name?”

~Shadowheart | Thunderclan~
Hearing his purr, Shadowheart allowed herself a few moments to relax till she caught the glimpse of worry he had. She was fine, so why was he so worried about her? Shadowheart knew she looked tired, but wasn’t expecting Streampelt to be caught up on that, though what he said next had caused a little smile along her muzzle. Purring slightly, Shadowheart blinked towards Streampelt as she debated about the idea in the back of her head whether or not she was his best friend. It left a warm, fuzzy feeling in her chest to hear something like that, so she leaned more towards the side of it being her and it being the truth. Taking a soft breath in, her ears perked up slightly when Streampelt began speaking again, questions how she herself was doing, and why Shadowheart seemed so tired. Rocking slowly back and forth, the molly was thinking over what exactly to say to Streampelt. “Oh, nothing much has happened with me,” starting with that was simple, but it worked “just falling into the everyday life of a warrior ya know? And coming to see you, of course,” her little smile grew slightly before she thought over the next question with caution. “I just..tired myself out yesterday, and since it’s nighttime and I’ve been doing what I’m supposed to do, I guess I’m a little more tired than usual.”
~Fierce~
~Silentpaw | Shadowclan~
Her heart raced silently in her chest as Silentpaw attempted to get comfortable where she had seated herself. It wasn’t always the easiest thing to do, sure Riverclaners were most likely use to the sand, but the others weren’t and she was sliding slightly. They saw the perk-up from the other cat at their side, as well as the seemingly low energy grin they had been offered, and Silentpaw felt just a little more relaxed. At least it seemed that the other clans could be nice. A soft smile brushed along her muzzle as Silentpaw attempted to communicate with the new cat, but it was difficult. She was using her tail to give a wave of hello towards the tom, but Silentpaws mind nagged her about the fact that he may not understand what she was saying. Though once they had heard him speak, Silentpaw seemed to perk up slightly, thinking he had understood. Raising their paw slightly, they made a gesture towards their sealed maw, attempting to show the word Silent before motioning towards their other paw, “Silentpaw,” had been what the molly was attempting to communicate. Pointing towards Sundew with her paw, Silentpaw raised a eyebrow as she seemed to be attempting to ask “how are you?”.
Tidepool
~Reedpaw | Riverclan~
Her paws dragged slowly in the sand as Reedpaw scanned around, her blue-green gaze searching for a famished face, or even a new one. It wouldn’t be unlike her to begin a conversation with a newcomer, but with the added stress of her love life Reedpaw seemed more..quiet, reserved. She was struggling to even accept any of those thoughts, and so pushed them down to the deepest parts of her brain to pay attention to what was happening here. Her ears perked up slightly when amongst the sound of other voices Reedpaw picked out the noise of pawsteps, heading towards her. Rounding softly to gaze towards the cat which had just approached her, Reedpaw was instantly hit with the scent of pine trees and she knew exactly where this cat was from. A soft breath floated from her before Reedpaw attempted to force herself to relax, offering a smile towards the other apprentice as she examined his features and began to speak. “Hi! I’m Reedpaw,” pausing, Reedpaw was caught on the fact that this cat seemed to be giving her a rather nice smile, and she felt just a bit more relaxed. “What about you? What’s your name?”.

Addersnow | she/her | shadowclan warrior | Shade.

God gatherings were boring. It was only her second one, but she was already growing increasingly tired with going to them. Next time she sure as hell was staying at camp, unless things actually got interesting this time. The tortie huffed irritably to herself as she strode into the clearing behind the other ShadowClan cats. Ice blue eyes scanned over the gathered cats, seeking out a good enough place to sit. Somewhere secluded and away from other cats, because she was not going to deal with any idiots toda-

Oh great. The throbbing in her side and the lurch in her step immediately let her know that some dumbass had ran into her. Swinging around with a lashing tail and narrowed eyes, she glared down at a rather young looking she-cat. She certainly wasn't in Shadowclan, and didn't carry the stench of Windclan, so she was either from Thunderclan or Riverclan. She didn't really care which one, honestly; they were all idiots in her eyes. The cats apology fell on deaf ear, as she let her mouth contort into a small snarl, "watch it, vermin" she hissed out, harshly glaring at the apprentice.

Breaking away from the rest of his clan at the leaders signal, the tom picked an open sunny spot in the front, hoping it was far away enough for no one to bother him. But just as he thought he as his attention was drawn back to the present by the cold air that hit his fur. He had made a major oversight.

This whole time the tom had been reassuring himself. That his clan was in a truce and there was nothing to worry about. But he hadn’t realized there was something on the horizon that had the potential to cause even more devastation than that conflict just had, leaf-bare.

The tom began pacing around his clearing in a state of sheer panic. Leaf-bare was approaching. Leaf-bare was approaching, and there was nothing the tom could do about it. Mousestorm had never liked leaf-bare to begin with, due to the shortness of his fur, but the recent tragedy had made things even worse. Thunderclan was not prepared for this at all. Oh great. You know what, Rosepaw wasn't even surprised at this point. Not only had she bumped into someone, she'd bumped into an ill-tempered jerk. Because of course she did. It wasn't a surprise to her that the whole world was out to get her because it always was.
Rosepaw was visibly concerned but she just sighed. She was scared of the other cat, but the emotion was dulled out from having had such luck her entire existence. Now there was just sorrow in her eyes. She had the look of someone who had seen too much tragedy for one lifetime.
"Okay..." she mumbled. She turned to walk away. It didn't matter if the other cat tried to stop her and bully her. She was used to it, might as well try to walk away.

>Buckbranch | TC Warrior<
Buckbranch rolled his shoulders as Mistpaw sat down next to him, and his smile grew faded slightly as she turned to him to speak once more. "No, it's... it's all right," he said after a moment. "It's kind of a long story, honestly? I, uh- well, to cut it short, I died, spent stars knows how long scouring StarClan with an old friend for a way out, and somehow managed to make it back. Ran into Kestrelstar on my return to ThunderClan territory and got to speak with him."

His seemed to drift out for a moment, Gravelblaze's and Icicleripple's faces flashed in his mind's eye, and then he shook out his coat and turned to Mistpaw. With a small rueful laugh he added, "Guess it makes me some sort of zombie, huh?"

~Mistpaw~

The young apprentice's eyes shifted back up to Buckbranch before growing wide as river stones as the warrior next to her spoke about his experience. You could come back from Starclan?! What?! Mistpaw opened her mouth to speak, but so many questions had begun forming in her mind that she didn't even know where to start. Was this normal?! Did cats pop back from the dead every few moons?!

Deciding against her tumultuous flow of questions, she snapped her jaws closed and just blinked a few times in wonder at the cat beside her. He must have been a very special cat to have been allowed to come back! Thankfully, his joke about being a "zombie" brought the grey she-cat back down to reality and a nervous laugh escaped her muzzle.

"I uh... I guess so," she giggled, adjusting her tail to wrap around her paws. Perhaps she could afford to ask ONE of her many burning questions. "Do um... Do cats normally come back from Starclan?"

Wormbite | Riverclan Shield | implimm :Grimmlin: ~Fierce~He took a pause, his misty hues sweeping over the clearing. Shadowclan was here. His lips turned into a frown but his attention was quickly grabbed away by Plumstorm.

Wormbite let out a quiet sight as he was told to look - he instead just stared at the molly blankly. He decided to not point out that he infact could not oblige. Shuffling awkwardly with his paws as Sparrowskip so helpfully revealed what they were staring at. Of course. Another shield. This was now turning into something. He was curious to get to the molly -- Fierceroar was a mystery to even the Dark Lord.

His notched ear flickered, it wasn't long until Fierceroar approached them. Wormbite gave a subtle dip of his head in acknowledgment, that was a question. What was this all about? After a few beats, the oriental finally had an answer. "Friendship..?" He cautiously replied back, looking back to Plumstorm and Sparrowskip for confirmation.

**Elmshadow of Shadowclan**
[OPEN]

Elmshadow padded in behind Dawnstar with his head held high. He had no need to socialize with the other clans but preferred to come to the gatherings in case he was needed and to keep himself current on events. His head swiveled to see his sister Sheepglow was here. He couldn't spot either of his apprentices among the group of Shadowclan cats, pity. Hopefully they'd show up though he'd understand Maggotpaw's decision to sit this one out, after how the last meeting had ended for her. Needlepaw could gain some experience from this though. Elmshadow felt an increasingly familiar pit in his chest; he hadn't checked on Goldenstep before leaving for the gathering. Their kits were getting old enough now, he thought, surely she could attend the gathering. He chastised himself for not stopping at the nursery before leaving camp to try to encourage her to come along. He found a spot among his clanmates to settle down and turn his attention up to the leaders.

**Cougarivy of Shadowclan**

Cougarivy watched Elmshadow's bobbed tail as they moved across the territories and onto the sandy beach. The full moon shone brightly above them and Cougarivy found herself growing excited again over the idea of what may happen. She considered sitting beside Elmshadow, his precious Goldenstep had missed the last few gatherings for their kits. Maybe he could use the extra warmth as the nights grew chillies. Though she'd found recently that he was pulling away from her some. He was still coming to her nest frequently enough but around other cats...She had to have a litter of his kits...another litter. She rolled her eyes at the thought of such inconvenience but she couldn't come up with with other way to win the tom over.

Cougarivy was pulled from her thoughts when she saw a she-cat with glaring eyes. Her head cocked curiously. The she-cat smelled strong enough of fish, there was no way she could be anything but Riverclan, but was that Kestrelstar at the other end of her menace? How interesting. She split away from the group of Shadowclan cats and bounded to the brooding Riverclan warrior. "Hi! What's your name? Are you a Riverclan warrior? Kestrelstar seems to be changing, right?" Cougarivy didn't know much about Kestrelstar before his current persona but she'd heard enough of him "changing" in some way or another.

Codpaw padded in with the rest of Riverclan behind Kestrelstar. The night air was crisp. He tended to prefer the warmer moons, they were better to swim and explore. But there was something on this night that made him relish in the coming chill. Maybe it was the new hot springs Kestrelstar had discovered. It would be nice to really test them out once it got cold. Interesting how one change could alter the way someone thought of the seasons, simply for the want of the new experience. Codpaw smiled as he seated himself on the beach sands.

It’s just a pile of stones.”

Dapplepaw whirled around in a full 360, searching for the voice that had called to him, before thinking to use his ears and actually listen for where her voice was coming from. Ohh!! She was right there, next to him. "Wrong!! It's a big pile of stones!" He chirruped, his smile wide. "A big pile of stones with leaders on top!!" He tilted his head up to discover that he could not, in fact, see the dark blobs that were the leaders of the clans in the darkness of the night, but it was exciting knowing they were there!

He looked back down towards the apprentice he was speaking to, tilting his head. "What's your name? And what clan are you from??" There were too many scents bombarding his nose to pick out hers specifically, something he was sure he would work on with his mentor, Poisonpetal. His nose twitched, now disctracted by the thought, in an attempt to see what he could make out. Shadowclan scent was present - it was the only familiar scent - there was an odd smell... how to describe it?? It smelled like puddles? Slimy puddles? Oh! And there was a tree-squirrel type smell. He only knew that from the occasional squirrel left in the freshkill pile. Ahh, but which scents went together?? And for what clans? He supposed he would have to pay close attention next time he visited the borders.

Her first Gathering. Ivypaw padded in with the ShadowClan cats, taking in as many sights and smells as she could. She'd heard of the other Clans, but she'd never seen nor smelled them. Only two unusual scents - strong, but only two -drifted toward her. One of the Clans wasn't here yet. Ivypaw tried to pick out which Clan was which. One scent had a very strong and fishy smell; she'd heard of RiverClan being referred to as "catfish" and "fish", so it was probably them. The other smelled different, like a forest, but not a pine forest. WindClan lived in the open moor so that was probably ThunderClan. Ivypaw continued to cast her gaze around, wondering if there were some other apprentices she could talk to. She knew that this was a time of peace, to socialize, and to be careful not to give away her Clan's secrets. I'm not dumb, she thought with a twitch of one ear. These cats were still her enemies, but she should get to learn about them tonight. Plus, she was curious.

Her gaze fell on two apprentices conversing with each other. One smelled like ThunderClan and was a tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat, while the other was also female, and had black-and-white fur. She carried the scent of RiverClan. Ivypaw padded toward them, noting their expressions. The tortoiseshell looked nervous; the black-and-white cat looked confused. I just hope they're not frog-brains. Ivypaw stopped near them and considered them with her sharp amber gaze. She was tall, despite being a new apprentice. "Hey. I'm Ivypaw of ShadowClan. I heard that we're supposed to socialize during Gatherings, so I guess I should meet up with you two, since you're the first apprentices I saw. What are your names?" Sundew was confused at their lack of words for a moment, and it showed on his face. He suddenly realized, feeling stupid now. The tabby tom was able to understand her gestures near perfectly. Though, he almost thought she was saying that their name was muzzlepaw. But by using common sense, he was able to figure out that their name was Silentpaw. He wasn’t sure if they cared whether he used his own gestures to communicate, or his words. Sundew assumed she wouldn’t mind him just talking, since if he used sign he probably would make a fool of himself. He also didn’t wanna seem like he was mocking them. Sundew was probably thinking too much, his mind would go on and on if he’d allow it. His lack of talking to people led him to be in his head a lot, and he’d overthink way too many things. Sundew shook his head, he’d spaced out. The tom had been staring at his paws for about five minutes.

“Sorry. I’m decent. how about you?” Sundew looked over at them, speaking in an apologetic tone.

Ivypaw kept lookingat the other Ivypaws for a bit longer, then tore her gaze away, and mewed, "So, uh, other Ivypaw" She definitely did not know that they probably wouldn't know who she was talking to. Streampelt gave a small smile as Shadowheart purred but he wasn't going to be distracted from his worry about her. He flicked his ears at her explanation. It still didn't relieve him of his worry, actually added on to it. "Why are you tiring yourself out? We do mostly the same duties, just different ways, and I still manage to not tire myself out. I don't see your clanmates tired." He did a quick sweep of the clearing, noticing for the first time that Shadowclan had arrived. His green gaze returned to Shadowheart's blue one. "Um. What?" she asked, forgetting her shyness in her confusion. How could there be three Ivypaws? This was strange, and didn't make any sense at all. "Oh. Errr... well, our names are Ivypaw too-" she indicated her and the RiverClan Ivypaw "- so... yeah,"

Having been a loner until recently, she didn't feel the same rivalry with the other clans as many of her clanmates, but Thunderclan was the clan that had taken her in so she felt an automatic loyalty to them alone. The rest of the clans were unknown to her. She seated herself comfortably at the back of the beach. Gingercry scanned the crowd of cats settling in for the gathering. He watched Dawnstar take her place on the seastones then found a spot on the outskirts of the group of Shadowclan cats. But his eyes didn't go back up to the seated leaders, he was far more interested in the cats around him. He felt an easiness being around the other clans that seemed to grow the older he became. He spotted an apprentice with a wide smile so he pulled himself back up to his feet and padded over to settle himself down beside the young tom. He smiled and tucked his broad paws beneath his thick orange pelt. "It's good to see our young cats enjoying themselves at gatherings. But why aren't you mingling with some of the other apprentices?"

Pigeonpaw trailed bouncily behind her new mentor. Her first gathering! And so soon after her apprenticeship! Her blue eyes bounced around to all of the different cats. There were so many! Dawnstar leapt up to the top of giant stones alongside two other cats, those must be the other leaders. Weren't there supposed to be four? Pigeonpaw shrugged and continued her assessing of the other cats filling the beach. A shiver ran down her spine, she wasn't sure if it had more to do with the chill hanging on the night air or the excitement but she didn't waste too much time trying to figure it out. She took a deep breath and sat down near Cougarivy, fidgeting as she waited for the meeting to start. But her eyes kept trailing away to look at all of the other cats. She noticed another apprentice looking as though he wanted somebody to talk to. With a slow glance at Cougarivy, Pigeonpaw slipped away and hurried over to the other apprentice. She sat tall in front of him and purred, "Hi! I'm Pigeonpaw! I'm going to be the strongest apprentice in Shadowclan now that I've been made an apprentice. What's your name?"

Goldenstep hurried through the forest. She'd left after the rest of Shadowclan, it took her longer than she'd hoped to find somebody who would watch over her litter of five kits. She'd finally gotten them all to sleep so she just needed someone in case they woke up. They were old enough now to not need her quite as much. It struck her that it'd be just a couple more moons before they could be here with her. As the ground changed from soft forest to sandy beach, she saw the sea of cats gathered; the flood of scents on her tongue told her Riverclan and Thunderclan were there with Shadowclan, but no Windclan, odd.

She looked through the cats quickly and soon picked Elmshadow out amid the group of Shadowclan cats. She smiled and purred as she quickly weaved through the other cats to brush up against his side before settling down beside him. She loved that she was once again able to join him in normal clan activity outside of camp or a one-on-one walk through the forest.

~ IVYPAW OF SHADOWCLAN ~

Ivypaw's gaze fixed on the black-and-white she-cat, noticing the shock in her green eyes. Her head tipped to one side slightly, but the moment she spoke, she understood. Another Ivypaw. Either the she-cat's name was Ivypaw or she had met another Ivypaw. She kept on talking some more about there being an Ivypaw in every Clan, wondering if WindClan had one too, the works. So, the black-and-white cat was Ivypaw of RiverClan. The way she talked about the tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat made Ivypaw think that her name was Ivypaw, too. ThunderClan Ivypaw. It was confusing, sure, and ironic that she had happened to walk upon two cats who shared the same name as her. But it didn't bother or surprise her too much. After all, more than one cat could share the same name. They were from different Clans; it wasn't like they coordinated this stuff.

The RiverClan Ivypaw seemed tripped up while trying to talk to her. Sure, having multiple names could be confusing, but it was also a bit annoying. All they had to do was put their Clans in front of their names and bam, there you go. RiverClan Ivypaw, ThunderClan Ivypaw, and her, ShadowClan Ivypaw. It was such an easy solution. RiverClan Ivypaw seemed to take a bit to catch on. Oh, she was talking to her. Ivypaw turned toward her, curious to talk to a cat from another Clan, and one with the same name, too. Although that didn't do much in her favor. Names were just names, after all. Lizards? She assumed that RiverClan didn't eat lizards based on the question. It seemed a bit dumb, but hey, it was a RiverClan cat. RiverClan were supposed to be their enemies.

"Well, we eat lizards, toads, and snakes," Ivypaw meowed. "They all taste fine to me, although toads are my favorite. Occasionally we'll eat some other prey, like a mouse or even a rabbit, rarely a squirrel. Even though I like some more than others, I'm not complaining. Prey is prey and it keeps us up and active. Without it, we wouldn't be here." Ivypaw didn't want to waste her time talking about prey, but she had to admit, she was a little curious. "Okay, I don't wanna waste my time talking about prey, but I'm just curious. What do you RiverClan cats eat? Fish, right?" They lived by the river, where fish swam, they smelled like fish, and they were always called minnows or catfish. It only made sense. Whatever fish was, it smelled disgusting based on the scents clinging to their pelts, but Ivypaw wasn't picky. Again, prey was just prey.

Oh right, ThunderClan Ivypaw. ShadowClan Ivypaw turned toward her, seeing her baffled expression, because of course. She was just blubbering in confusion, and Ivypaw could kind of understand it, but besides that, it looked pretty pathetic. She hardly said much to contribute to the conversation, and although Ivypaw disliked RiverClan as a Clan more from what she'd been told, ThunderClan Ivypaw seemed to be more of a coward and an awkward cat. That wouldn't get anywhere in ThunderClan. A Gathering wasn't the time to be hurling around insults, but it still annoyed her.

"I don't know much about ThunderClan except that they live in a forest different from the pines and my father calls them squirrel-eaters." Ivypaw indicated with a flick of her black-striped tail toward Shadestorm, the large dark gray tabby who was her father. "My father's Shadestorm. He's the deputy of ShadowClan under Dawnstar, who's the best leader in all four Clans," she announced proudly.

(All are open!)

Emberdust of ThunderClan
At last, ThunderClan had been the first to arrive this time. While Emberdust would never speak on it, she was glad that they had the time to settle into the night before being bombarded with their neighbors. The last few Gatherings had been... tense, for lack of a better term. But the honey colored molly had hope that it would change. StarClan couldn't allow it to go on further like this. Claws could only sink into so many pelts before eyes were opened to the travesty of it all.

Amber eyes scoured the sandy shoreline for any familiar faces. Often times she found herself doing the best she could at remaining friendly with those outside of ThunderClan. Her loyalty would always come to them first, but that didn't mean she had to turn her back on the other Clans. They were, after all, just like her - distinctive personality traits and mannerisms aside.

"Hello there. A bit chilly tonight, isn't it?" she spoke to a nearby cat, offering a warm smile and joyful gaze as she took a seat in the sand next to them. So far, WindClan was the only Clan that hadn't arrived, which meant that the announcements wouldn't start for a bit.

-

Leopardpaw of ShadowClan
Stalking onto the sand after Dawnstar, the reserved apprentice Leopardpaw surveyed the already gathered ThunderClan and RiverClan with narrowed blue eyes. She didn't really plan on speaking to any of them tonight, though her ears were alert and ready to pick up any loose information. Hopefully this Gathering would be void of any emotional reactions as the last one had been chalked full. She had certainly had enough drama to last many, many moons.

Deciding on settling in near the back - which is where all of the juicy conversations took place anyway - the young feline turned her gaze up to where the leaders sat. Dawnstar was quite obviously the largest present leader - Twilightstar didn't even have to arrive to compete, she was already small. An emotion akin to admiration shimmered in blue eyes, though any thoughts Leopardpaw had on their fearless leader were reserved and unknown.

"I'm Ryepaw."
He was rather intrigued by this new acquaintance, his tail lightly flicking through the cooler air.
She seems nice. Ew.
He had noticed her tense up for half a second, but he guessed that him portraying a nice version of himself had helped a bit.
He settled down, wrapping his tail around his paws, giving a small shake of his head to get his blood flowing, in a attempt to warm himself up. He studied her pelt, noticing it had Riverclan attributes to it.
Long, silky fur, happy eyes, content...
Ugh, he didn't like the fact that his supposed enemy was enjoying herself, but he spoke not about that.
"Nice night, isn't it?"
He loved the night, probably as much as the Riverclan cats did with their river.
Regrettably, he couldn't stand water.
The depth, the waiting, the possible drowning. It freaked him out. He'd rather have the dawning, spooky night than water.
But of course, he never displayed his fears. He was pretty good at hiding his emotions.
Most times.

Shiningskies was excited to attend this gathering since she hadn't been able to attend the last one. The ginger molly glanced around the clearing and spotted one of her clanmates, Mousestorm she believed his name was, and padded over to him. "Hey, are you alright Mousestorm?" she asked, having noticed the toms panic as he paced around the clearing.

“No I’m not alright! Do you think I’m alright? Look at me!”, Mousestorm exclaimed in annoyance. “Leaf bare is here. Snow will come eventually. We’ll all either freeze to death or starve, and all of thunderclan will be gone before we know it.” The tom looked up at his leader. “If Aspenstar says the prey is running well, either some prey just magically appeared, or she’s lying to everyone’s faces.”

Frostpaw curled her lip slightly. “Still a bunch of stones.” Did it really men anything that the leaders sat in them? Sure, she supposed it could be called ‘sacred’. What, if a leader sat on a patch of grass it was suddenly the most important thing ever. She decided not to comment anymore on the stones. Instead, she turned to the rest of the apprentice’s questions. “Frostpaw of RiverClan. I’m guessing you’re a new apprentice, right? What’s your name?”

Wow! A Riverclan cat!! They had just fought with them recently! Dapplepaw cleared his throat, putting on his most professional warrior voice, "I am Dapplepaw of Shadowclan, a pleasure to meet you." He broke out into giggles afterwards, not even taking himself seriously. In his normal voice, Dapplepaw added on: "Yep! I am a new apprentice. How about you?" Judging by how unimpressed Frostpaw was with the absolute wonder the seastones were, he assumed she was at least a semi-experienced apprentice.

Shiningskies flattened her ears slightly, surprised when he snapped at her. "You can't think like that! ThunderClan has survived through many leafbares long before we were ever born, why would this one be the one that kills us? Besides, prey isn't that scarce yet. There hasn't even been any snow." Why was the tom so afraid of leaf-bare? They had survived others just like they would the survive this one! The ginger molly couldn't comprehend how he could be so pessimistic about it.

~Shadowheart | Thunderclan~
She had caught sight of the small smile Streampelt had given her, but she knew the way he was looking at her he must’ve still been worried. When he didn’t seem relieved from her explanation, Shadowheart softened her gaze and leaned slightly towards him, placing her nose against his shoulder in a comforting manner before sitting back up and offering Streampelt yet another smile. ”I had been struggling to sleep these last few nights,” pausing, she gave a little tilt of her head to the right while she attempted to sooth his worries “but it’s alright, I’ve just been doing a few extra things while I’m out doing my duties to tire myself out,” raising her tail slightly, Shadowheart rested it along Streampelts back in a comforting manner. “I’m alright Streampelt, I promise you don’t have to worry,” her words were spoken in a gentle tone as she offered him a bit of a wider smile. Hopefully he’d take her word for this, and Shadowheart was attempting to change the topic as she said a soft “how have you been?” with a raised eyebrow.
~Fierce~
~Silentpaw | Shadowclan~
She saw the confusion on his features and she felt her pelt burn slightly with embarrassment. Most of the cats in Shadowclan had gotten use to Silentpaw not speaking, but she had to remind herself that this wasn’t a Shadowclanner. But that also meant they ran the risk of annoying this cat. A soft gulp was seen as Silentpaw shifted their paws in the sand, lowering their paw which they had been gesturing with to be pressed to the ground. She watched as Sundew stared at his paws, but she didn’t attempt to pull him out of his starring, instead she sat patiently waiting and blinking her rounded brown eyes around, searching for something that interested her. When she saw him give a little shake of his head out of the side of her eyes, Silentpaw turned back to look towards him with a little smile plastered along her muzzle. When Sundew apologized and spoke in a apologetic tone Silentpaw let out a little laugh and nodded softly at his question. They were doing mostly good, of course mostly good was probably the best you could get when in Shadowclan. At first she seemed to be thinking about something before looking back towards Sundew. Softly, she had gestures towards the area where Thunderclan seemed to be the at the most before pointing towards Sundew. “Are you Thunderclan?”.

~Reedpaw | Riverclan~
She watched him closely, examining his movements and manners. It wasn’t the fact that she didn’t trust the other apprentice, more the fact that Reedpaw was simply anxious in this gathering. This wasn’t her first and yet for some reason it almost felt like it was. Reedpaw had noticed Ryepaw studying her out the corner of her eye as she had turned to look back towards the leaders on the Seastones. A soft breath was pushed from Reedpaws muzzle as she turned her head to look towards Ryepaw and offered him another smile, though the question seemed to catch her off guard a bit. It was a nice night, lovely even, it was just the fact that she hadn’t expected the comment that had seemed to surprise her so much. “Yeah, it is,” pausing, Reedpaw seemed to be thinking about something before raising her eyebrows just slightly “in..in the wooded area you live in, is it normally dark?” interest shown in Reedpaws eyes as she gave a little head tilt with this. “I mean, normally dark during the day and night.”

The first thing that caught Kestrelstar's notice as he settled onto the rock was that the Shields who had attended tonights Gathering were all clumped together... by the shoreline. He could spot their distant figures, having caught sight of Plumstorm at the helm. A trickle of frustration dripped down him, but he wouldn't call out to them. If they wanted to disrespect the newly given rank's title then so be it. He'd find different cats for the job.

His eyes then landed on Yarrowshade, narrowing slightly at the sight of her scarred pelt. So there was truth to the story that Plumstorm had told him in Snakeheart's den. He believed her when she claimed the ThunderClanner had crossed into the territory, and while he wouldn't hold the entirety of ThunderClan responsible, he'd made sure that Aspenstar knew of her warriors activities.

Another face in the crowd drew attention from him - and perhaps the other leaders as well. Buckstar - or maybe he had gone back to his warrior name, considering it was Aspenstar sitting up here and not him. That must be a rather curious predicament, but Kestrelstar didn't really want to nose his way into it. There was a truce between their Clans but that didn't mean he'd ever be overly friendly with their forested neighbors.

Then came the overwhelming stench of ShadowClan. Kestrelstar kept a neutral face, yellow eyes watching as the massive tabby sprang up onto the rocks, not giving him nor Aspenstar any greeting. He wasn't surprised, honestly - it wasn't like Dawnstar to be hospitable in any way. Part of him was curious about what had happened to the warrior who had murdered Graypelt, the queen he had buried after the last Gathering, but he wasn't going to ask.

From up where he sat on the rocks, Kestrelstar had a rather advantageous view of the cats gathered below. Mingling together, their words a low hum. Two cats in particular garnered the gray tabby's attention; was that... Streampelt? He didn't recognize the she-cat he was speaking with, so she must've been from another Clan. They seemed a little too friendly for his liking, and he had certainly taken notice of his warriors' absence from camp life. Something to speak on back at camp, though, not at a Gathering.

After a few more moments, Kestrelstar stood. He was a tad worried at the absence of WindClan, but if they sat out here much longer he felt as if his tail would freeze off. "Looks like WindClan isn't coming..." he sighed, voice only loud enough for the leaders around him to hear.

With a shake of his head, the tabby tom stepped forward, figuring he'd go first with RiverClan's announcements. "RiverClan is doing well. The fish are swimming as good as ever, and thanks to a hunting event held by Sunsetbloom, our prey pile is as stocked as ever." He wanted to give acknowledgement to the large molly for her contribution to the Clan, while also stating how well off RiverClan was doing.

"We've had four new apprentices start their warrior training. Irispaw, Wavepaw, Hawkpaw, and Maplepaw have all been made apprentices and are already excelling in their training. Silverpaw has also displayed exceptional skills and has been welcomed to RiverClan's warriors as Silverstripe." He paused for a moment to allow for any cheering for the young warrior, most of which he knew would come from RiverClan - hopefully.

Moving on, his yellow eyes narrowed. "There was a border incident between one of my warriors and yours, Aspenstar. Plumstorm reported that a cat by the name of Yarrowshade was trespassing several fox-length onto RiverClan land. She refused to leave when asked, and instead attacked my warrior. I'm sure if you take notice of the wounds she has tonight," he stated, gaze flickering over to the ThunderClan leader as he spoke, careful that his tone remain neutral with just the slightest edge, "it will be made clear that while we have agreed on a truce, trespassing will not be tolerated." There wasn't much else to say, and to show that he only meant to call out a single warrior and not ThunderClan as a whole, he nodded to Aspenstar.

"I have also recovered Graypelt's body, the queen that was brutally murdered by a ShadowClan warrior a moon ago. She was buried in our Clans resting place as we held vigil for her." He didn't bother to look at Dawnstar - he already knew she lacked remorse for any death her or her warriors caused. With leaf-bare so close, and RiverClan having already driven ShadowClan back during their border tussle, he didn't feel the need nor want to ruffle the molly's fur.

"That is all from RiverClan." Kestrelstar had decided against announcing the new RiverClan ranks in favor of keeping his announcements as short as they could be. He stepped back and took a seat, vacating the space for the next leader to step forward.

The dark tabby's eyes widened in surprise. But then her features settled in determination. Her nervous paws stiffened and she tried to look calm and collected.

Yarrowshade had partially expected that her crimes would go unnoticed since, as a matter of fact, they always did and usually it was frustrating. All that villainy and none of the glory. But now she came to the grim realization that her actions may or may not have consequences. She wasn't entirely used to those. It always felt like someone else bore the responsibility. Whitewolf, Aspenstar, all of ThunderClan.

Whatever. She did what she did and she wasn't sorry. She just needed to spin a lie elaborate enough for Aspenstar to believe it. Sha was already digging herself deep, why not deeper. It was yet to be discovered whether she was digging herself into a goldmine or a grave.

He screwed up his nose, staring down at her with an unreadable expression as she squirmed around in the sand. One of these days he WAS going to do it. Whether it was a pond or a creek or the ocean, he WAS going to shove in. She totally deserved it.

Him? A riot? More like a target for her shenanigans. "Yeah, and you're annoying," he muttered, sitting back on his hind legs and raising his forepaws to wipe the sand from his face. Oh, gross, some of it was still in his mouth. Sweet revenge was on the horizon.

He fell back to all four paws and scoffed, a less-than-amused sound. "You are perhaps the LEAST interesting thing that's happened - that ever will happen. Don't flatter yourself."

And then he scowled as Kestrelstar began to speak. "Why can't we keep our paws to ourselves? Another war is going to break out at this rate if Aspenstar can't start keeping warriors in check." Whitewolf had been murdered as a result of the last one, and despite turning up so very NOT dead later, had simply disappeared again shortly after - and he realized with a jolt that he really didn't want to lose Cinderpaw the same way.

His gaze flickered up to the larger stone as Kestrelstar began his announcement, and sighed through his nose. "I see ShadowClan hasn't changed since I've been gone..." Although Sundews eyes seemed dull, he smiled. “That’s good.” he was glad the cat was doing good, why he cared so much, wasn’t quite clear. He pulled his tail closer to himself, not wanting it to get stepped on. He was able to tell they she was asking whether he was Thunderclan or not, and he gave a small nod as an answer. He could tell by their pine scent that they were Shadowclan, but he thought he should ask rather than guess. He atleast knew she wasn’t thunderclan, since he had never seen them before.

“Are you Shadowclan?” Sundew asked, curious whether his guess was right or not.

~Mistpaw~

Grey eyes focused on Buckbranch in rapt attention as he described his journey 'back'. Although slightly disappointed that he couldn't remember specifics, the young she-cat was still awestruck at the fact he had made it back at all. She made a mental note to ask Icicleripple about this fascinating Starclan predicament whenever she returned. She was a medicine cat after all, and if she remembered correctly, Larkstorm had said that medicine cats could communicate directly with Starclan!

Gaze flicking back to the Seastones as Kestrelstar began to speak, Mistpaw listened carefully as he spoke about Riverclan's status. It seemed to be similar to last gathering, but her brow scrunched up in confusion as he spoke about a Thunderclan warrior being over the border and attacking one of their warriors. Hadn't Larkstorm mentioned that just recently when she was learning the warrior code?

"I thought you would be breaking the code if you trespassed in another clan's territory..." the young apprentice muttered in confusion, tilting her head as she tried to puzzle out her clanmate's actions. However, as Kestrelstar mentioned the burial of the murdered queen and Buckbranch's comment of Shadowclan she seemed to shrink into herself before quietly piping back up again. "Do they... murder cats often??? I uh... I don't think I want to meet anyone from there if they do..."

~ IVYPAW ~

Well, it was rather disappointing that WindClan hadn't come yet. She hadn't gotten a chance to catch a whiff of their scent, although from what she'd heard, she'd imagine them to smell like rabbits and grass. What a disappointing scent. Ivypaw preferred the strong scent of pines that clung to her pelt. It distinguished her from the other Clans. The leader of RiverClan, the gray tabby Kestrelstar, was starting the meeting. Ivypaw listened with interest at what he had to say. So, this tom was allied with WindClan and their enemies. Interesting. Maybe she'd get to take one of his lives away someday. Was there any interesting news?

Okay, so first it was boring stuff. Good prey, new apprentices, and a new warrior. One dark brown ear twitched. Was there anything interesting? Oh, he mentioned a "border incident". Ivypaw listened curiously, but found that she was sort of losing interest. On one paw, it was good to hear about the other Clans - it satisfied some of her curiosity. On the other, some of the news felt boring and repetitive. Truce? Maybe ThunderClan and RiverClan had had some issues in the past. And there was the queen that Foxstorm - Maggotpaw - had killed. Graypelt was her name. Ivypaw didn't care much for her. It was her fault for not fighting hard enough to protect herself and her kits. And that was it. Ivypaw waited for the other leaders to speak.

Plumstorm's interest in the other shield wavers for a moment or two, and her attention slides back to the sea. This was the most social she'd ever been at a Gathering, wasn't it? Hell... Wasn't this the most social she'd been, period? A stretch ripples through her sore body, and as it leaves through widely-splayed toe beans, her gaze falls back upon Fierceroar.

"Nothing, just... Attending the Gathering together, tonight," she mews. Wormbite's answer surprises her though, and she stares at the tom unblinking for a moment before chuckling.

"And friendship," she tags on with an approving mrrow.

"Kestrelstar would like to see us all bonding, no doubt. Look, he must be proud of us." Little did she know, their leader was rather displeased with them. Oh well, he would get over it.

As she pointed attention to him however, the Gathering itself seems to rouse and move at last. But that was strange, because WindClan was not here. Their leader commences the Gathering himself. Plumstorm couldn't see all of him of course, and she didn't crane her neck or perk her ears to focus any more attention on the tom either. Truthfully, this was enough. To her slight surprise, he brings up Yarrowshade's attack. The silver molly lets out a puff of air.

"Hopefully ThunderClan can do something good for once and keep that deranged she-cat away from any Clan borders," she remarks.

~Stormpelt [Riverclan] [He/him]~

He decided to come to the gathering he would try to hold his tongue. But he couldn't have but glared at Shadowclan. "Foxhearted Cats!" he murmured. Looking up at Kestrelstar his eyes still glaring at him from his conversation with him. Eye Blazing like blue fires. Hissing slightly. He murmured. "Can't Kestrelstar Just shut up about Greypelt? It was a Moon ago!" He Meowed Anger and grief swelled his eyes. He Was more Angerier at Kestrelstar then anyother cat. Standing up he yowled so everyone could hear. "I'M TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT MY MOTHER KESTRELSTAR IT IS IN THE PAST! I HAVE ALSO HEARD NEWS FROM GREYPELT. SHE TOLD ME I WAS HALF-CLAN! THAT'S WHY I NEVER MENT MY FATHER BECAUSE MY FATHER WAS OAK FUR FROM THUNDERCLAN!" Yowleding loudly but glaring at Aspenstar and KEstrelstar like prey. HE couldn't control his anger now. His words turned into Venom. Claws digging in the ground with his pelt bristling. "WHY DONT YOU COME DOWN HERE ASPENSTAR AND KESTRELSTAR AND TELL EVERYONE HOW MOUSE-BRAINED YOU ARE!" HE Was Angrier then ever.

___________

woah, Plumstorm laughing? Sparrowskip never thought he'd see the day. Sparrowskip gave a nod to Wormbite's comment, it was definitely about friendship. "I'm sure he is! I bet he's glad that we aren't keeping out distance from each other. I'd assume being a shield would require some teamwork, and i'd say friendship would help with said teamwork!" Sparrowskip said with a smile. If only the shields knew what they probably had coming to them when they got back to camp. A big lecture that was what, though in the moment it didn't cross Sparrowskip's mind at all. "That's all of our hope at least, I wonder where WindClan is too. They could be late, but I can't remember the last time a clan was late. Although I haven't really been coming to Gatherings lately so It could just be that." Unless something happened to them on the way here, which was worrying as WindClan as far as Sparrowskip knew were RiverClan's allies. "I'm sure it'll be nothing new from when I used to come more though. Dawnstar being an ass, and Aspenstar doing whatever she does. I'm not even sure what goes on in that head of hers." Sparrowskip had barely seen the ThunderClan leader so he could only guess really.
Sparrowskip tilted his head a bit as Stormpelt started yelling. He wasn't really sure what caused it, as Kestrelstar just talked about her body being found. "I wonder whats going on with him, that seems unusual even for a grieving cat."

Of course. He should've banned Stormpelt from the Gathering like he'd wanted to. Stepping forward again, Kestrelstar glared daggers down at Stormpelt. He'd deal with his revelation later, but for now the leader was sick and tired of his outburts. "Stormpelt! I told you before to calm your anger. A Gathering is not the time and place. Plumstorm will see you back to camp - you are to remain there until I come to fetch you." His tone was sharp, curt, as claws dug into the stone he sat upon. His mind was reeling with the information, but for now Stormpelt was an embarrassment to RiverClan - one that needed to be taken care of.

No, no, this wasn't good. In fact it was very, very bad. Riverclan had a god relationship with Windclan but they couldn't let their reputation and a sting and powerful force to be reckoned with, Shadowclan was here and Silvernight could bet Dawnstar was taking note of all this.

"Stormpelt, listen. Your mad, I understand that, it's not exactly fun to lose someone, it hurts, believe me I know, but this isn't the time nor the place to get emotional" Her voice was sympathetic, almost pleading. It sounded harsh but perhaps that was what he needed to hear to calm down. "Now if you would just go back to camp with me and Plumstorm im sure we could sort this all out." Her leader had only told the shield to escort him back but it couldn't hurt to help out. Sure, Silvernight wasn't some kind of therapist but she was sure she could help, if he would just listen.

[ :Grimmlin:, Cheesy da Cheese, spade - Note, any PP has been approved by a HR in my post. ]

Sparrowskip was being boring, talking about how Gatherings once were. Plumstorm stares at him with a deadpan expression while he goes on about how Clans typically acted, and what leaders did what. "Well, I was never one for politics at all, believe it or not," she says with a disdainful sniff. "Too boring, too dramatic. And everything changes constantly anyway, especially with the ThunderCLan mice. Never any use in following any of it."

The she-cat's expression sours a little as one of their own Clanmates suddenly begins to shout. "Oh, for the love of StarClan," she mutters. She couldn't imagine their leader taking very well to one of his own fully-grown warriors trying to stir the pot. It was a leader's duty to report news at the Gathering. He was doing nothing wrong, even if he had aimed some pointed words to ShadowClan in the process. "That dimwitted little river snail of a cat should know his place," she meows scornfully. Already, the molly was moving to stand up. Her wounds still nagged her at her- Laying down was a pleasant escape from keeping up her duties or appearances. But Kestrelstar couldn't leave his spot, and Splashleap shouldn't deal with petty insubordination either. "Watch and learn, guys, watch and learn..."

Plumstorm departs from the Shield meeting on the beach, weaving her way through the gathered cats who had come and actually sat before the leaders. The shield-warrior took her time to reach Stormsnail, yet when she finally comes to a stop beside him, the she-cat's injuries seemed to bother her very, very little. A rather eerie expression rises to her face- A cool smile, yet tightened facial muscles that others might see as Immense Restraint, while her powdery blue eyes were alight with anger. She stares at Stormslime in silence for a moment, letting him scream his little pea-brain out, before a paw slowly lifts up.

Flexing her toe beans, long curled claws slide out. With a speed the molly probably only reserved for more serious fishing, she strikes the tom square over the shoulder and digs her claws into his pelt deep enough to get a good, lasting grip on him. Just like fishing! "Oh, Stormkit, it's past your bedtime. Come now, lets go home and get you all tucked in. Don't worry, I'll walk you to your nest," Plumstorm mews, her tone syrupy sweet. Without waiting, the shield-warrior drags her Clanmate through the cats to the beach, where it'd be easiest to bring him back to camp. Kestrelstar could deal with him when their Clan returned, and her shield-mates could watch her be cool from afar.

(Plumstorm forcefully dragged Stormpelt away from the Gathering, and will be at camp with him from here on!)

With Plumstorm, Stormpelt, and Silvernight now headed back to camp, Kestrelstar rolled his shoulders back and gave a snort. He refused to let any embarrassment he felt show on his expression and instead stepped back, taking a seat once more. Of course, thoughts ran rampant in his mind - Graypelt had been involved in a forbidden cross-Clan relationship? Oakfur? The name didn't ring a bell, but he was determined to not speak on it. He'd see about speaking to Aspenstar about it after, perhaps. But for now, he just wanted to get this Gathering over with.

**Elmshadow of Shadowclan**

A golden pelt flashed at the corner of Elmshadow's vision. The grey tom turned to see his mate padding up to him. He let out a rough, under-used purr as Goldenstep greeted him affectionately. It nearly surprised him how happy he truly was to see her here. He spoke lowly, "I'm sorry, my love, I'd meant to come find you before we left for the gathering to ask you to come along with me. But I'm glad you made it." He touched his nose to her cheek.

Kestrelstar's voice took his attention back up to the leaders. He tried to listen between the words the Riverclan leader was speaking. Were they really as well off as Kestrelstar would like to lead them to believe or was he bolstering their position? His emerald eyes narrowed just slightly at the mention of the riverclan queen killed by his now-apprentice, Maggotpaw. It was an attempted jab at Shadowclan, he knew, but it was a weak one.

The flow of the gathering was interrupted by a shouting; The voice sounded familiar. Elmshadow turned his gaze towards the voice. That was a Riverclan warrior...That was the warrior from last gathering, the son of the dead queen. He meowed quietly to Goldenstep, "Can't Riverclan keep any sort of control over their warriors? Seems to me like Riverclan is falling apart from the inside." Once again, that same warrior was forcibly escorted from the gathering.

**Cougarivy of Shadowclan**

Kestrelstar's announcements fell flat for Cougarivy. She didn't need to hear about the apprentices or warriors or the opposing clan's prey, it was all boring and didn't tell her anything anyway. But the mention of Shadowclan caught her attention. Her mouth split into a smile. Brutally murdered by a Shadowclan warrior? Cougarivy had to hold back a giggle, How dramatic. For a queen that nobody was able to name a moon ago, Kestrelstar was really laying into this whole "brutally murdered thing". Maggotpaw probably did them a service anyway, if that dead queen birthed kits as obnoxious as that Storm...something tom then why would Riverclan want Her around anymore?

And as though on cue, the obnoxious tom interjected again. A giddiness rattled through Cougarivy. Why was everybody so insistent on trying her resolve this gathering? It was growing more difficult to keep her excitement to herself. That queen was even disloyal to her clan! Cougarivy was sure it couldn't get any better! Then Kestrelstar's rage and the warrior needing to be forcibly removed from the gathering. Cougarivy shuffled her paws as an excited shiver ran down her spine.

**Codpaw of Riverclan**

A large orange tabby approached Codpaw, pulling him from his thoughts. The tom smelled of pine, he must be from Shadowclan! Codpaw shifted his seat to face the tom squarely. "Oh, no reason." The spotted grey apprentice shrugged. "I was just excited to be here and nobody had come over." He shifted his paws and looked into the larger tom's eyes, attempting to restrain some of his curiosity. "You're a Shadowclanner, right? Do you like being in Shadowclan?!"

As Kestrelstar started speaking Codpaw looked up to his leader. He smiled at the memory of Sunsetbloom's hunting event. He'd come in first place, catching the most prey, but it had been a lot of fun. The apprentice den was getting crowded again but that was exactly how Codpaw liked it. The more apprenticed there were the more opportunity he had to make friends and cause mischief. In congratulations, he called out, "Silverstripe! Silverstripe!" He hadn't been close with Silverpaw but, in front of all of the other clans, some sense of pride in his clanmates felt necessary.

Codpaw's ear flicked at Stormpelt's voice raising angrily. He was mildly confused. What was Stormpelt so angry about? It occurred to him that he should feel some embarrassment for his clan but he was lost in trying to figure out what just happened. Kestrelstar had to report that, right? He shrugged, hoping the meeting would carry on soon.

Ivypaw met Dewfur's gaze with a diamond-sharp look, and turned her back to the offending warrior as she asked Kestrelstar to speak.

He broke out into giggles afterwards, not even taking himself seriously. In his normal voice, Dapplepaw added on: "Yep! I am a new apprentice. How about you?" Judging by how unimpressed Frostpaw was with the absolute wonder the seastones were, he assumed she was at least a semi-experienced apprentice.
Frostpaw puffed out her chest proudly. She was glad he had asked, now she could gloat how much better she was than him. “This is my third moon as an apprentice. Ravensong (If this isn't open I apologize! I just figured it'd be interesting and fun for Leopardpaw to catch Cougarivy's reaction and slide on over ^^)

Leopardpaw of ShadowClan

Well, this was certainly interesting. Blue eyes watched the scene unfold carefully; RiverClan's leader began the announcements, starting with the boring stuff and ending on a "brutal murder" committed by ShadowClan. The obvious side jab directed at ShadowClan bemused Leopardpaw - hadn't they already shown the fish what happened if taunts like that were thrown? Still, she remained quiet as the show continued. Lots of arguing, and yelling, particularly from one cat that - oh, how amusing. She had heard whispers of a rumor about the last Gathering, and judging from an overheard comment made by Elmshadow, it must've been true - and maybe this was the same exact tom.

Sliding on over from her solitude seating, Leopardpaw reached out to gently proud Cougarivy with a single paw. "Fascinating, isn't it?" she stated, blue eyes shimmering as she watched Dawnstar. "Dawnstar would never allow such insubordination to go unchecked in ShadowClan. Maybe that's why we hold the title of strongest Clan." Glancing at the warrior beside her, the silky she-cat took note of exuberance that her Clanmate seemed to be fighting back. Her face reflected much of the same emotion, glad that someone else was enjoying the show.

Cinderpaw gave her companion a grim look after his final comment. "To ourselves? Riverclan's the one who should be keeping their warriors in check; they started this whole mess."

In all honesty, Cinderpaw couldn't seem to erase her faint memories of the day this all began from her mind. She had probably been less than a moon old, yet still, the coppery scent of blood and the beady, crazed eyes of Riverclan's former leader remained etched in her head. Every time she thought of it, her fur couldn't help but stand on end.

Speaking of Riverclan, shouts about someone being half-clan seemed to break out as Kestrelkiller listed out the death - hey, hadn't that name been shouted at last gathering, too? - of a queen. Cinderpaw sucked a sharp breath in. "Oooh. You think this is gonna end like last time? That fox-heart should really start keeping his warriors under wraps."

The gray deputy jogged towards the Seastones, his bristly fur standing up on his shoulders.
”The one time we’re early I’m back at camp looking over some stupid tree.” He hisses to himself, referring to the tree that had dropped a branch too close to camp for his liking, which he had enlisted Rosepaw’s help for moving.
Without even a nod to any of the Warriors around him, he pushes through the crowd and leaps between the RiverClan and ShadowClan Deputies, giving a curt nod to them both, but keeping his maw shut.
ShadowClan and RiverClan seemed to be acting rather frostily towards each other, Dogbark shrugged inwardly, as long as their quarrels didn’t carry over to his Clan, let them fight it out tooth and claw, maybe let them lick their wounds for a couple pawfuls of moons.
He notes the fact that Aspenstar seems to be doing much better now, she seemed much, much more confident among her fellow Leaders.
Dogbark breathed an inaudible sigh of relief, maybe this Gathering wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Goldenstep swooned as Elmshadow purred and she'd never get over the feeling that hearing him say "my love" gave her. She smiled and leaned into that blissful feeling. She still found it hard to believe that he was actually in love with her. Maybe that was the root of her insecurities, her suspicion that he was seeing other mollies. Maybe there was no real truth to it at all, it was only her insecurities that made her see things that weren't there. She shook her head lightly, not wanting to think about any of that right now. Right now she was with Elmshadow at a gathering, that's all that mattered. "Our kits a growing big and strong. They won't need me at all for much longer." She wanted to sound prideful but there was a tinge of reluctant sadness. She'd found her calling in being the mother to Elmshadow's kits, what would she do when they had grown?

She watched Riverclan unravel. From Kestrelstar's announcements then Stormpelt lashing out at his own leader and outting his own dead mother for breaking the warrior code. It all gave her an uneasy feeling. She hadn't been at the last gathering but she'd clearly heard what had happened, it was hard to miss with an entire clan meeting about it. Were they devolving? Would Starclan be angry with them? She looked to the stars. What was happening to the clans?

Keeping her eyes on what was happening, she responded to Elmshadow, "Well, maybe that's just another reason to not attack them. If we just let them go how they're going they'll just defeat themselves without us having to lift a claw."

-------------

Gingercry smiled. "You don't strike me as the type of cat to simply wait for others to come to you." He shrugged. "Yes, I'm from Shadowclan. It's like being in any other clan, but different." The fluffy ginger tom laughed. "I like it well enough, there's no reason for me to not. Do you like being in Riverclan?"

Ravensong

-----------------

Pigeonpaw took a few steps towards the leaders, trying to get a better view as the big grey one started speaking. She listened closely, trying to make sense of all of it. She decided that he must be the leader of Riverclan so that'd make him...Kestrelstar! She tried to keep up with all of the names he listed as new apprentices. She wanted to know everybody in all the clans so she could have the advantage during a battle but as soon as she heard then she forgot them. Next time.

She jumped as a Warrior from the crowd started shouting. Suddenly everything broke into minor chaos. This warrior, he must be from Riverclan, and Kestrelstar were going back and forth until the warrior was taken away. The crowd murmured with everybody voice their hushed opinions. Pogeonpaw's pelt buzzed with the excitement of having been apart of it all. And it was still early.

He really enjoyed throwing slights, didn't he? Dawnstar preoccupied herself with dragging her tongue over her claws as Kestrelstar started off the announcement. Everything aside from the little problem with ThunderClan and jab tossed at her clan went unheard. Of course, he threw a jab at her Clan last time and she sent out patrols to attack his warriors for it. Was he getting a kick out of this or something? Why keep poking at her and her clan unless he wanted to start something? It was already well known that one of her warriors killed their queen, whose name she finally learned was Graypelt. Dawnstar was had dealt with it, so why bring it up again? It's not like anyone actually cared about if they were buried or not.

Kestrelstar was obviously full of himself. Oh, and look at that. Wasn't that the same warrior who stirred up issues and had to be taken back to camp last time? Dawnstar didn't bother hiding her absolute amusement with what the nobody was spewing now. So not only did one of Guppystar's warriors find him bringing up the tom's dead mother unnecessary, but he also had a bone to pick with the leaders about being half-clan? Why the hell hadn't Whinypelt been banned from this gathering, common sense said to ban him after the last stunt he pulled. This is what you get when you were a complete push-over.

Not that this half-clan nonsense was of much use to her. She bet a good chunk of the cats below her were half-clan, which Dawnstar would have been disgusted with before being proven that blood doesn't make a warrior. The blatant disloyalty could be fun to play with later. That and the complete lack of control Fishbrain had over his clan. Dawnstar sneered brightly while lowering her huge forepaw to the ground as her long bushy tail swayed back and forth behind her in pure delight. Entertained with Whiny's display of idiocy and lack of self-control, Dawnstar was willing to overlook the RiverClan's leader poke.

The next one, his cats would have to pay back in blood. This little... thing RiverClan and ShadowClan had going on could be completely avoided if Kestrelstar stopped intentionally trying to piss her off. Someone in his clan with half a brain should probably tell the cocky moron they called a leader that, Dawnstar had several lives to go through and a whole clan of warriors willing to go to war for her at a drop of a pine needle. He'd be the one dealing with the sleepless nights, from the blood and death he was causing.

"That was quite the riot." Dawnstar purred, amber orbs drifting over to yet another RiverClan warrior who tried to speak up during a gathering. "You should bring that one next gathering too, I'm sure he'll have more disgraceful news to share." The scarred brown tabby laughed softly as she rose and stepped to the head of stone to start her announcement. The leader decided against preaching about ShadowClan's strength and prey, so long as she knew where ShadowClan stood, the other clans could guess how they were doing.

"Since Kestrelstar seems to enjoy reminding everyone of this 'brutal murder', I'll start off with stating that Foxstorm has been demoted to an apprentice." As much as she'd enjoy adding 'to please Riverclan's massive ego', Dawnstar was still in a decent mood with Whinypelt's little displace so wouldn't sink to the guppies' level. Besides, she's always been more of a physical brawler over a verbal one.

"Unless the prim and proper, self-righteous, RiverClan leader deems the punishment too soft for such a brutal murderer, she'll be keeping the rank as a maggot for at least a moon." Aspenstar should use her rank and the numerous deaths and pain RiverClan has caused her clan to her advantage, get the mossball in her court. Dawnstar understood that they had a truce, but even Dawnstar could see that it was a pact of dung. ThunderClan was getting the short end of the stick. At this rate, ThunderClan was going to be known as the weak sniveling maggots who feasted on the scraps RiverClan threw them. Even Bunnystar and her clan of rabbit-hoppers had more spine than them. They at least put up a fight, if Dawnstar wasn't so preoccupied with RiverClan right now, she'd almost want to start something with ThunderClan just to see if they'd roll over and take it as they did with RiverClan. ThunderClan couldn't be all that content with a spineless coward for a leader, and if they were, they had no right to call themselves a clan, or at least not ThunderClan home to the fierce and courageous.

"ShadowClan has a pawful of kits who have graduated to apprentices, Ivypaw, Dapplepaw, Pigeonpaw, Crowpaw, and Blackpaw. Lilacpaw, a former outsider, has also joined ShadowClan as a new apprentice." Dawnstar announced the new apprentices with a touch of pride in her voice. Ivypaw was still the only one she'd be watching out for, Blackpaw might be able to become half the warrior will grow to be if he learned to apply that stubbornness of his to his training instead of fighting her about a name.

"Ravenpaw who has shown to be a constrictive and loyal member of ShadowClan, earned their warrior rank and is now known as Ravenblaze." Dawnstar finished the last of her announcements and stepped back to allow Aspenstar to wrap up their gathering so she could leave.

Hmm, what was that, Dawnstar cocked her head to the left and lifted her hind leg to scratch at her ear. "There's a flea buzzing in my ear," an intense amber glare was given to the only fish who was worth a claw of her time. "Do you want to teach her some manners or shall I?" Dawnstar grinned almost sweetly at Kestrelstar. Dawnstar's cats had their moments, but none of them, at least not under her rule, would ever outright speak to a leader, at least not at a gathering, as the flea below her had. She'd give Kestrelstar a few moments to handle this, or she'd see how many of her warriors wanted to use the insect to sharpen their claws. She was sure the holier than StarClan, leader of RiverClan, would manage to turn this on her somehow, but come on, really, the flea was asking for a good scratching!

As Dawnstar spoke to him, it took every ounce of will power for Kestrelstar to ignore her words. Staring straight ahead, stone-faced as her scoffs about his warriors bounced off of him. His demeanor was cool, and calm. Inside, a raging inferno. Part of him wanted to rip into her right then and there. They both had lives to spare, and the gray tabby was certain he could take one or two of hers in the process.

Another part of him wanted to retort that it had been her warrior as well that had started the disruption at the last Gathering, for revealing herself to be a murderer. But he dug his claws in and refrained. Repeating Delaware's advice in his head over and over, that some battles were best left unfought.

As the ShadowClan leader began her announcement, Kestrelstar found a scowl spreading across his face. He bit back a sharp retort at her description of him - only for the sake of his Clan - and instead simply flipped his tail over on the rock. He didn't understand why this egotistical toad thought he was making jabs at her - simply announcing that RiverClan had recovered the body that had in fact been brutally murdered - pelt stripped away until the body was unrecognizable. What had been wrong with that? If Dawnstar got irritated by facts being displayed...

To him, a demotion was never good enough for murder. It was the same with Albatrossflare - demoting a cat back to an apprentice was not of the same caliber of murder. But it wasn't his place to comment on how the ShadowClan toad of a leader should handle her warriors - frankly he didn't much care. If Dawnstar wanted to send more of her warriors to attack RiverClan like she had most likely done with Foxstorm, he'd be ready.

Then, a voice below them spoke up, and Kestrelstar was ready to call an end to the Gathering and bring RiverClan home right then and there. Yellow eyes shot daggers towards Dewfur. That whole family was driving him mad, and he had half a mind to send her home as well. Ban them from Gatherings - maybe even have it trickle down to Whitekit when he became an apprentice. The utter disrespect and yowling only served to show the cracks in RiverClan. As desperately as Kestrelstar was trying to hold the Clan together, he was only one cat.

"Dewfur." His voice was loud, simply flicking an ear in Dawnstar's direction; he was resolute in not speaking a word to her for the rest of this Gathering. Kestrelstar focused his sole attention. "Leave. Join Stormpelt back at camp. Now. Sparrowskip, go with her." His words were sharp, curt, leaving no room for argument. If the warrior knew what was good for her, she'd leave immediately and not cause more of a scene.

~ IVYPAW ~

ThunderClan Ivypaw didn't seem to care much that her father was deputy. Ivypaw just shrugged mentally. It mattered to her that Dawnstar had chosen her father as a cat worthy enough to be her deputy. But she wouldn't get cocky. After all, she had to prove her worth by her own strength and skill! And at a Gathering, she was just there to learn and talk to the other Clans. She was curious about them, even though RiverClan Ivypaw - and ThunderClan Ivypaw, too - were meant to be her enemies. She watched silently as ThunderClan Ivypaw asked RiverClan Ivypaw some basic questions. Her attention turned to the leaders. Kestrelstar had already spoken. Dawnstar was stepping up, too. She kept one ear on the Ivypaws and another on her. It was odd how ThunderClan Ivypaw appeared to be nervous, but then her words would suddenly come out snappy. And some warriors were being sent home. It was honestly ridiculous how immature cats acted. Was it always like this at Gatherings?

Yeah, Stormpelt did have a temper, but Ivypaw didn't care much for Gathering-disrupters. RiverClan Ivypaw mentioned that she didn't have any parents, which was dumb, all cats had parents. She probably just didn't know who they were. Ivypaw turned toward them. "All cats have parents. You probably just don't know who they are, or they died or something. My mother left the Clan when I was a kit. It's not like I care much about her, though. She seemed fine when she was here, but if she deserted her Clan, and took away a future warrior - my brother - then that's her problem." Ivypaw knew that she shouldn't share too much, but this was more of something personal that hardly bothered her, anyway.

Someone else, this Dewfur cat, was talking and appearing hostile to ThunderClan Ivypaw, who sent him away with sharp words. Not bad for an enemy, but Ivypaw didn't care much, anyway. Ivypaw listened as Dawnstar talked, her ears perking as she heard her name mentioned. "That's me," she commented with a flick of her black-striped tail, keeping her voice lowered so that she wouldn't disrupt the Gathering like those other idiots. She rolled her eyes at the whole Maggotpaw thing. "Stupid Maggotpaw. Killing a queen is fine, but come on. She bragged about it like an idiot. All these cats trying to cause trouble and drama are just toad-brains. They just make themselves look pathetic."

Shadestorm sat calmly watching the mess unfold underneath him. He remembered the warrior, it was the same cat who had thrown a fit last time, fussing over the murder or whatever. Riverclan cats weren't all to bright now were they. Swimming itself was rather dump, and cold when leafbare came and the fish they ate made them smell like rotting seafood. But they had at least seemed somewhat sensible, - most of them, not their leader - , but of course trusting they could behave was too much to ask.

Then his leader went on to tell the news and things that had happened in Shadwclan during the last moon. It felt like it had happened very quickly and he had only recently been sitting here, watching the dump bunnies. Speaking on which, where were the weaklings. Had they just been to cowardly to attend or had the piles of stick finally been blown away bu the wind.

Oh, Starclan give me a break. Yet another fish-breath had thought it was a good idea to speak up, AGAIN. This time it was a bit more important to the deputy, since the warrior who's name he had never heard had spoken to his leader. Dawnstar had offered to "Teach them some manners" but honestly Shadestorm wouldn't mind to show the cat a thing or two himself.

He chose to ignore the two other deputies, not really feeling like socializing with them, or anyone for that mater. Maybe someone sensible or someone like Hawksahde, but not cats outside of Shadowclan. Ivypaw however seemed to talk with other apprentices as if it was no big deal, something that surprised him. He knew she enjoyed learning things but why cats who weren't in Shadowclan, they didn't really have much to teach her.

**Elmshadow of Shadowclan**

A small half-smile split Elmshadow's mouth; he respected the way Dawnstar handled the Riverclan leader's little jab. She made it clear that she wouldn't take it but she would react with level and calculated sureness.

Elmshadow's pelt bristled instantly as he heard a Riverclan she-cat call up to Dawnstar, telling her to shut up. He rose to his feet and pinpointed the source of the voice. Another Riverclan she-cat of course, and related to that Stormpelt? How rich. The fur along his spine stood on end and his emerald eyes blazed. The blatant disrespect and bold dissent from even her own leader. Did Riverclan truly have no control over their own? He stood his ground but readied himself to defend his clan should the order come down.

Cougarivy's attention was pulled away by Leopardpaw. Her smile widened as she listened to the young light-colored apprentice. "You're pretty bright for a young cat." An excited shiver ran down her spine. "It's just all so much fun! Like what is Kestrelstar going to do about it? Do you think that cat would ever see tomorrow if he were in Shadowclan?"

She quieted as Dawnstar began her announcements but couldn't keep her eyes off the Riverclan leader's expressions. As Dawnstar wrapped up her announcements another voice called out and a thrilling jolt shot through Cougarivy. That guppy just told Dawnstar to shut up! Cougarivy shivered as a broad smile fell unrestrained across her face. "Oh, that little fish is begging to be killed!" Her paws shifted, hoping for a sign to release her on the she-cat. As much fun as it would be to tear into the guppy, she understood the repercussions should she do so without Dawnstar's permission. But it was almost worth it... But she held herself back and prayed to Starclan that the she-cat would continue to speak out and refuse to leave.

(OPEN: Bumblestreak of Thunderclan)
Bumblestreak dashed into the clearing, embarrassment prickled at his pelt as he looked around. He couldn't believe he was late to the gathering, what kind of warrior was he? He slipped into the crowd with a sigh, looking around at the gathered cats, everyone was already here, he glanced around, wondering if his mate had gone along to the gathering. A soft smile formed on the tom's maw, Nutleaf was a truly special cat, he still didn't entirely believe that she was truly his mate, it caught him by surprise when she'd walk and say an affectionate 'i love you' it always sent the tom's stomach into a flurry of butterflies. The ginger tom had stopped paying attention to his surroundings, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of his lovely mate.

(OPEN: Graypaw of Riverclan)
Graypaw padded into the gathering clearing, They had been out hunting when the clan had left. Upon returning to camp they asked around to see if they did go to the gathering and after confirming that they'd made their way to the gathering. Graypaw took a deep breath, so many scents and sounds. They absolutely ADORED the gatherings, they were always so fun! The gray apprentice padded into the crowd of gathered warriors and apprentices. There seemed to be significantly fewer cats than there usually was though, they also noted they hadn't seen Rockpaw, or any of Windclan for that matter, they turned their one-eyed gaze up to where the leaders where, no Twilightstar either, wonder why? The gray-furred cat furrowed his brows.

(OPEN: Eveningpaw of Riverclan)
Eveningpaw padded into the gathering with Graypaw, separating once they both entered. Things felt awkward between him and most of his friends right now and he didn't know why. He let out a frustrated sigh as his pale eyes scanned the Seastones for someone to talk to, he padded towards the largest concentration of apprentices he could find.

(OPEN: Finpaw of Riverclan)
Finpaw padded silently behind his friends, watching Eveningpaw and Graypaw walk off. The small orange apprentice glanced down at his paws. His mother had gone missing a bit ago, all he had left was gone. Why did she leave him? and especially without saying anything? The tom bitterly sucked in air through his teeth, every cat he ever cared about ended up disappearing, maybe he should just stop trying. He sat, looking down sadly at his paws.

(OPEN: Wavepaw of Riverclan)
Wavepaw cautiously padded into the Seastones, their icy blue gaze swept quickly across the area. There were so many cats here and so many smells and sounds, it was almost overwhelming. The gray apprentice padded along the outskirts, not sure what to do or who to interact with, were any of his friends here? or would a stranger greet him?

(OPEN: Crowpaw and Smokypaw of Shadowclan)
Crowpaw padded into the gathering pressed up against Smokypaw. She was having a hard time with her nerves around so many cats. This was her first gathering and so far she hated it. The black-furred kit squinted, trying to make out any one cat in the large mass of blurry figures. Tears began to form in the new apprentice's eyes but she quickly blinked them away.

Smokypaw gave her a sympathetic look, he remembered his first gathering. It'd been so scary with all the noises and cats. A quiet reassuring purr rose from the tom's throat as he looked around the clearing, trying to locate a good place for both of them to go where Crowpaw wouldn't be too overwhelmed.

(OPEN: Badgersight of Shadowclan)
The large black tabby tom padded in alone, he'd been sleeping when Shadowclan left and found himself struggling to find his way to the Seastones, but was relieved to finally be there. He took a deep breath, taking in all the clan's scents. He glanced around squinting, trying to locate a specific orange Riverclan she-cat he'd met, or even his daughter would be a pleasant surprise.

After coming to the Gathering she listened to what was happening. Ugh! What couldn't Greypelt's kit be calm and not argue! After thinking a bit. Hmm, what will Aspenstar choose as the New Medicine cat? What really did happen to Icicleripple? As she watched the 2 river clan warriors leave. Can't river take care of their warriors? As she wrapped her tail around her paws. Stifling a purr of amusement. Ah, Stormpelt and Dewfur oh what the heck! Most interesting happening at this gathering. Kestrelflight was so lost in thought. As she couldn't hear what anyone else was saying. As She licked her chest fur. Murmuring. "Interesting Gathering. Huh! I should care that much about Riverclan should I?" As she looked around the cats. //Open to intrect!//

Luckily, Dogbark arrived. Late, but she was hardly in a position to judge that, considering the track record of ThunderClan's arrival the the last few Gatherings. But no sign of her medicine cat. Hopefully no one would noticed Icicleripple's disappearance. Well, they probably would, but that was inevitable and she was wondering about that herself.

The RiverClan leader and deputy were both courteous towards Aspenstar, and even as she smiled and nodded to them both in greeting, she felt that familiar resentment bubbling inside her. They weren't friends. Probably never would be, at least for a couple seasons. She wouldn't forget nor forgive, she only promised them that her Clan would be more smart. Even if it was only a few cats of hers that messed it all up. Yeah, ThunderClan did wrong, but still. The feud wasn't completely shoved under the rug, and she intended to never let it be forgotten. Cats died, in battles but also at the border. Cats who may very well still be around alive and breathing if cats just bothered to use their words. But she wouldn't bring any of this up now. Because according to Kestrelstar's report, now she got to deal with Yarrowshade, who went and beat up RiverClan's Plumstorm.

Shooting a minacious yellow glare at her warrior, who she quickly sought out in the crowd despite the large amounts of cats gathered, she sighed. That little mouse-brain. She would have to deal with that promptly. Hopefully Kestrelstar would keep his mouth shut when it came to how she punished Yarrowshade. If he started up again with that nonsense speech of his, telling her how to penalize her Clan, she wouldn't have much patience with him then. "She will be dealt with accordingly."

"Though I hope you're aware that her actions don't represent ThunderClan, and that there were no orders from me that permitted her deeds. Because all of ThunderClan except for her have respected the truce, as yours have." She didn't have to explain herself, but she felt the need to specify, if only to prevent more violence and bloodshed. Ok. Continuing on with the Gathering. Don't linger on one topic.

The ThunderClan leader stayed silent as Stormpelt yowled at her from below. She glanced down at him disgustedly. Stars above, the Gathering was always full of surprises. Aspenstar didn't bother hiding the amused disdain on her face as two RiverClanner's spoke up. Quite unimpressive, Kestrelstar needed to keep his cats reigned in, this was quite embarrassed. RiverClan always knew just when to make themselves look silly.

But the amusement died from her face once he mentioned Oakfur. Oakfur? She looked around for the tom, but didn't see him. Oakfur had a cross Clan relationship with Graypelt? And had kits? The fur on the back of her neck rose slightly, and she stared at the warrior speaking. He looked like a semi-young warrior. So probably born before the war, but wasn't Graypelt the mother of another litter? It had been mentioned that she had kits in the nursery, at the max the kitten were probably 6 moons old, therefore born either right before or somewhere in between all of the violence. A cross-clan relationship going on between two cats of enemy Clans during scandal and war. How disloyal could you get, you might as well just sit up on the Seastones and scream the Clan secrets. Even calling her stupid, she had been called worse but words hurt, even if they were meaningless in many ways.

She listened to Kestrelstar chastise his warrior, send him home. Then Dewfur, Stormpelt's sister apparently, spoke up, and Aspenstar felt the beginning of a headache coming on just from listening to the idiots. If things had been different, those two might've been ThunderClan cats. A never ending train of whines and insults coming from the duo, it seemed, and the maple-furred she-cat sympathized with Kestrelstar for the first time in a while. She didn't envy him, even being in the same camp as them must be driving him crazy. A little bout of karma in the form of incredibly loud and cranky cats.

Not wanting to engage, she just clicked her tongue, shaking her head slightly. Only half listening to the report Dawnstar and Kestrelstar had, she only allowed a few words to sink in. No declarations of war. No drama. Thank the stars above for that. ThunderClan was running smoother, the last thing Aspenstar didn't want that to change. The alliance between WindClan and RiverClan was concerning, but hopefully Kestrelstar's new mindset included a logical brain.

Finally, it was her turn to speak. Standing up, fluffing out her honey-colored fur, she briefly met Dogbark''s eyes, still wanting to gather courage from him, the more the better. "ThunderClan had been doing well, growing stronger by every day that passes. Prey is running well, and we are preparing for leaf-bare." Prey was running okay, but even if the Clan was starving she would say the same. Show no weakness.

"ThunderClan had a large group of new recruits, Mistpaw, Cloverpaw, Shadeleaf, Honeyrain and Vulturefang have all been welcomed to my Clan's ranks, and have already proved that they are indeed valuable assets." This was true, the two queen's kits should be on their way very soon. Aspenstar was no expert on birthing and pregnancies, but she was pretty sure they were close to popping.

Aspenstar took a deep breath, then continued. "Multiple new apprentices have started their training in the past moon. Ivypaw, Tulippaw, Houndpaw, Springpaw, Brightpaw and Lotuspaw have all begun to learn the ways of the ThunderClan warrior, and all show great promise for the future and present."

She noticed how she always did this. Complemented the cats she announced, giving them a little recognition for everything they had done. Finally, she was to announce the new old addition to the Clan's territory. "I had decided to rename our graveyard after regaining it from RiverClan, it is now called Starlit Meadow in honor of ThunderClan's fallen." She couldn't have a RiverClan and ThunderClan territory slice have the same name, it would inappropriate and didn't sound very right.

Dipping her head, she stepped back. "That concludes the report for ThunderClan." She would wait to see if the other leaders (or more of RiverClan's senseless warriors) had something to say. If not, she would simply let her cats mingle for a bit longer, then they would leave.

WHY was every cat in this clan intent on making a fool of themselves? Splashleap had no idea, it was infuriating really. The screaming from Stormpelt didn't even make sense, and then his sister had to get involved? Clearly those two were trouble, and definitely shouldn't be invited back to the Gathering. But that was up to Kestrelstar, she wasn't going to poke in that hornets nest unless she really, really had to.

There was some satisfaction, she supposed, in being the first and only deputy to arrive on time. Dipping her head to the two toms she decided to avoid any other greeting, the announcements were already well under way so there was really no point. Dawnstar seemed intent on throwing fuel on the fire, although Kestrelstar hadn't exactly come prepared with any water to add preemptively, with bringing things from last gathering up. Yes it was horrible, yes Shadowclan needed to stop being murderers and stay in their territory, and yes their leader would take it personally and happily send more of them over. Sometimes saying nothing was the best way to go.

While she understood that they didn't want to appear weak or afraid, leafbare was coming and they had just gotten peace made with Thunderclan. That was one war avoided, surely they could avoid another? Too many Riverclan cats had been dying, and more would likely follow. Unless Dawnstar and all of her followers suddenly died in a freak avalanche, which wasn't particularly likely considering Shadowclan territory was mountain free. A pile of snow from a tree then? It seemed less lethal, unfortunately. Maybe a nice swim in the cold river? Cats could be trapped under the ice if they broke through, and Dawnstar might be heavy enough to do so. Hmm, or maybe the twolegs could pick her up? Or good old fashioned claws, that was also an option.

But no point daydreaming, problems didn't go away that quickly, especially problems that were so large, pointy and partially immortal. Aspenstar's announcement was standard, although the renaming of the territory that had been returned did give Splashleap cause to tilt her head sideways. Well, if nothing else it was slightly more convenient. It would make sure that it was clear when she told cats to go to Firefly cove what she meant, probably the same for Dogbark. So not a useless thing, she'd probably use that next time she sent out patrols. It seemed the thing was wrapping up now, hopefully no more outbursts would be occurring and they could head back before they froze to the ground.

~Kestrelfight [She/her] [Thunderclan]~

Aspenstar's words bewildered him, as hadn't Kestrelstar simply stared the warrior responsible? Had he not called them out specifically, and not ThunderClan as a whole? This whole Gathering was starting to wear on him, but the gray tabby tom didn't show any of it. Briefly, yellow eyes glanced down at where his deputy sat. He'd take note to speak with her in regards to her opinion on what to do about those who spoke out - more importantly, how to keep it from happening.

"RiverClan! We're heading home," he called to his Clan below. Completely ignoring Dawnstar - he remained true to his promise not to utter a single word more to the ShadowClan toad - Kestrelstar murmured a farewell to Aspenstar before leaping down the Streamstone. Turning to Splashleap, he let out a sigh. He spoke no words, simply held her gaze for a moment, a touch of gratitude present in their yellow depths. "Didn't think it would be this difficult when Snakeheart and Lionstorm chose us, huh?" he murmured, his voice low so that only Splashleap could hear him. A hint of sarcasm in his words as Kestrelstar simply shook his head. Lifting his tail, he began to lead his Clan back home.

Wormbite | Riverclan Shield | @/implimm @/:Grimmlin: ~Fierce~
Wormbite nodded in agreement - friendship makes the dream work? Was.. was it something like that? He was sure there was some quote the elders would say that would make you groan with how typical it was. Nonetheless, he listened to what Kestrelstar had to say this time around. His notched ear flickered in acknowledgment. Ah, before he had time to make a comment - Stormpelt began to yowl about his parental issues. "Does he lack the understanding to perhaps, not tell everyone his personal business? He's a mousebrain, " Wormbite mumbled, listen. You didn't see him going around and telling everyone his father was a loner, did you now?

He watched after Plumstorm, a quiet chuckle escaping from him at her comment. Hopefully Stormpelt wasn't too much of a pain for her.

For the most part, the oriental stayed silent as things buzzed about. There was no need for him to interfere but stars, the moment Dawnstar began to speak - anger bubbled up in his chest. Wormbite dug his claws into the ground, a quiet hiss escaping from him. "Lacking manners as always, " He murmured. Keeping his tone quiet if only to avoid causing any more embarrassment towards Riverclan.

Then there was two. Poor, poor, Sparrowskip.

but now it was a little bit awkward.

Wormbite sat there, fidgeting with his paws as Aspenstar spoke. [He let out a snort as a Thunderclan apprentice yowled at, uh huh. Promise. ] There was nothing interesting to keep note of - there rarely was in the news itself. A sigh of relief escaped from the Shield as Kestrelstar announced their departure. He was quick to remove himself from the dreadful beach, yikes. Maybe he could convince them to hold their bonding not on sand next time.

Lotuspaw | Thunderclan Apprentice | None
Okay, well. This turned out to be a total bummer. They refused to interact with stinky fish cats and,, the shadow cats were just..!! WEIRD!! They all radiated this sort of bad vibes and honestly, Lotuspaw could go their whole life with ever speaking to one of the shadow cats. Weirdos. This unfortunately met they didn't interact with anyone. What a shame.

Instead, Lotuspaw sat alone. Copper eyes reading the leaders' lips carefully, they understood nothing. Some of them kept talking about other cats and,, the apprentice zoned out from then on. However as Aspenstar called out their name - they bounced up. Their stub tail wagging back and forth, "That's me! HEY!! THAT'S ME!! YES!!" Lotuspaw squealed out, jumping around in a circle. "YEAH!!" Look at them go! So cool, so cool, yeah, yeah!!

**Codpaw of Riverclan**

Codpaw nodded to the orange Shadowclan tom. "I'd love to learn more about the other clans but I do love being in Riverclan..." He glanced around the other cats, primarily where Stormpelt had been sitting. "Even if some of them are a little...obnoxious."

He rolled his eyes as first Dewfur spoke out against Dawnstar, drawing Kestrelstar's irritation, then some slights he wasn't sure he caught between Aspenstar and Kestrelstar. All of it leading to Kestrelstar calling for his clan to return home. He sighed and glanced at Gingercry as he rose to his paws. "I guess that's me. Hopefully I'll see you next gathering?" He was just getting excited about all of the things he could learn from this older amiable tom and then his clanmates had to ruin it. As he started to pad away he stopped and turned back to the tom. "I'm Codpaw, by the way? What's your name?" He asked before turning to run after his leader exiting the beach.

He was disappointed. He was looking forward to seeing someone.
Sighing, he headed out after his leader.

(RC left so RC Ivypaw be gone to camp)

Ivypaw - no, ThunderClan Ivypaw - looked up as she heard her name. Publicly mentioned. Aargh, what was more embarrassing than THAT? Ivypaw winced, and shrank lower, continuing her 'conversation' with ShadowClan Ivypaw.

"My mum's Cloudfeather, and my father's Raventuft," ThunderClan Ivypaw mewed cautiously. ShadowClan Ivypaw didn't need to know that Cloudfeather had originally been WindClan, and so Ivypaw and her siblings carried WindClan genes. "I- um, I have two littermates, Hailpaw and Amberpaw. So, do you have... any... older or younger siblings? Or l-littermates?"

Hailpaw was irritatingly loud, bratty and rude, and constantly boasted about his 'great' hunting skills. But Amberpaw... Amberpaw was a different story. Amberpaw was silent, but she had an unsettling aura hanging ominously around her when she was silent. Ivypaw had a feeling Amberpaw would wound up being a ruthless murderer when she was a warrior.
