Frost sat down, looking up at the dark sky.

SHe gazed at him from beneath the bush.

He kept his gaze to the sky and stars.

By the time Dawn came, she was asleep.

Frost looked at the three cats, letting them sleep.

Luka woke up and looked at his sleeping mother. He stood up and carefully stepped over her paws and tail. "I made it!" He whispered.

He smiled at Luka.

Luka grinned and jumped onto Frost's back. "Morning!" He squeaked.

[Ainz Ooal Gown]

"Good morning little one."

[shark sailor]

He climbed onto his head and sat. "Do you ever wonder what's above the clouds?" He asked, being able to see what his dad used to call the Sky Tree.

"I used to when I was younger." He said.

He looked down at Frost. "Do you think we can see?"

"No." He said. "We stay on the ground and that's how we have survived for a long time."

[Rivergold]

Turtle stirred and yawned.

Luka didn't reply and he just stared at the sky.

Frost nudged Eliza. "Come on. It's time to move."

Eliza blinked away and stood up. She yawned and stretched.

"We will leave in a short while." He said.

She nodded. Luka jumped off Frost's head and dashed past his mother. "Luka?" She turned around but her son had already disappeared through the bushes. Luka looked around and then at the sky. He started walking towards the Sky Tree, his tan tail swaying. He looked up at the giant tree and saw multiple ghosts jumping around, shrieking and laughing, in the branches. One was a faded silver tabby (Tidedrop), one was a dark ginger she-cat with black streaks (Gingercloud, a pale gray tabby (Oakvine), and a faded bright ginger she-cat (Heartstar). He tilted his head to the side.

Oh, You meant a literal tree) Turtle padded behind the kit. "You should go back to your mother, we are leaving soon."

He looked at Turtle. "Okay...." Then he looked back at the tree. "Who are they?"

She looked up, but saw nothing. Glancing at the kit, she said. "They are most likely spirits. Ones who might not take kindly to a kit disturbing them. Your mother is missing you."

He shook his head. "Right." Luka turned and started walking back. Tidedrop looked down with a tilted head and smiled.

Frost watched them, looking right at Tidedrop.

Turtle tilted her head at Frost questioningly.

Tidedrop grinned and waved at Frost before narrowly dodging Oakvine trying to tag her.

She cleared her throat and raised her tail , padding onward. "Let's go,"

Luka grinned. He jumped onto his mother's head and curled up there, falling asleep between her ears. The small kit snored quietly.

Turtle suddenly collapsed.

Frost looked at Turtle concerned.

(Sorry for changing it a little)Turtle looked around; she was suddenly in a wide expanse of grass, in a place she had never seen before. Behind her, she heard voices, and turned to see hundreds of cats. But, something was different. They were all pale, and had twinkles like stars in their pelts and paws. They surrounded four cats, who were solid looking as herself. padding closer, she could hear what one of the strange cats was saying to the four.

Be wary, clans, your time has come
Your fate awaits where all is gone
For these outsiders, to find the path
Will save you of the coming wrath
Four cats who leave to start this quest
Four cats, indeed, the very best
These cats who save, of turtle's frost,
Of mothers and sons, one whom be lost

The starlit cats began to fade, and the cats in the center stood and called out to them, asking for an explanation, begging them not to go. The grassy clearing around her began to fade into white as the cats and their voices disappeared as well.
The white became black.

Luka was listening in and his eyes widened.

She started washing her face.

Frost sat down, pondering the dream and what the cat said. "That's us. We're the four."

"What makes you say that?"

"So you said that there would be four outsiders and there are four of us. And if this....riddle is to the clans, they would see us as outsiders. The last part said of turtle's frost and of mothers and sons. You're name is Turtle, I'm frost," he pointed to Eliza and Luka. "And those two are mother and son."

[Rivergold]

Her eyes hardened. "And who is lost?"

"At best." He said. "One may be separated from the group and go the wrong way." He looked down for a few moments before looking up to her. "Or it could mean one will die on the journey."

He sighed. "Well I definitely don't plan on going no journey, but I was going to explore more." He said.

Turtle flicked her tail.

He stood up. "Well I'm off."

She stood and stretched.

He began walking.

"Do we even know what we're looking for for these clans?"

"A place with a forest, a place with a moor, a place with an island and a place with a swamp." Luka said plainly.

"I run away a lot." He said, glancing at his mother. Eliza wasn't paying attention.

He shrugged. Very bad parenting

"I was always told to run if my dad froze for more than 5 seconds. It meant he was gonna attack my mom." Luka said, his stub tail twitching slightly. "If it was less he was going to attack me. So, I always found myself in different places to get far away from my dad."

Turtle said nothing. Extremely bad parenting.

"Well that's....interesting."

"Sorry. I'm not supposed to talk about that." He squeaked as his mother picked him up and placed him on her back.

Turtle watched her do this. "Does he ever fall?" she asked.

"He used to fall off all the time. Now he doesn't." She said.

"I would look around for him and then he'd scare me." Eliza said, turning away. Luka jumped onto Turtle and yawned.

"I wish I could be a better parent for Luka." Eliza said quietly, watching Luka snore on Turtle's back.

Eliza looked at Frost with narrowed eyes then she smiled. "Thanks for the great advice." She chuckled. "But she's right. I got to distracted over Charlie I would hardly notice Luka.." She stared ahead and shuddered. "I still do."

Eliza went silent and she looked at the sky absently.

Turtle stiffened slightly when Luka climbed on her back, but continued walking.

Luka led Eliza off course and to a black and gray she-cat, laying on her side, claw marks slashed along her sides and back, one eye bleeding. Eliza stared at her for a minute before picked her up carefully.

Eliza walked back and set down Alle. She ran off and came back with cobwebs and marigold.

Luka pounced on the dead vole and ate it. Eliza chuckled and picked up a mouse.

Snowpaw had had her leg healed and she was crouched in the shade of the apprentices den, her blind eyes closed.

Snowpaw stood up. "Batpaw?"

"Windpaw always seems to resent me. Dad seems disconnected with no one but me and mom always says shes busy and then makes time for you guys."

"Windpaw is Windpaw." He said. "Dad's been disconnecting with everyone recently and mom, I don't really know. I haven't had much time with her."

Heartsong walked into camp wobbly, a claw mark stretched across her side. Her ear was shred and she coughed. Shakily she walked to the medicine cats den, half unnoticed. Snowpaw noticed and she bolted after her.

Batpaw was right behind her.

"Mom, what happened?" Snowpaw asked urgently. "Oh nothing, don't worry about it." Heartsong meowed. "I need to find dad." Snowpaw breathed and ran back out. "Dad!"

Bravecloud ran to her. "What is it?"

"Its mom she's hurt and I don't know what to do." Snowpaw whimpered, her ears flat.

Bravecloud ran into the den. "Heartsong. What happened."

"Snowp- Ugh. Nothing happened, I'm fine."

[Ainz Ooal Gown]

"You're clearly not if you're laying in here." He said. "What happened?"

"I just had a run in with a fox pup, didn't put up much a fight though. I felt bad, the scrap looked starving. I didn't feel like being its meal though."

Bravecloud hissed in annoyance. "Those dumb foxes."

Cloverwing was going to the animal den which also had the hawk they had rescued a long time ago. The wounded fox pup was following him timidly

He licked his mate. "Just stay and rest."

Heartsong purred quietly. Snowpaw was zipping around the den, looking for cobwebs or something. sheesh when was the last time this place was restocked?!

Bravecloud looked at the fox and hissed.

Batpaw jumped up and grabbed a few cobwebs. "Got some."

Cloverwing stepped in front of the weak pup. "hey hey hey, he's not causing any harm." When Bravecloud hissed Kalahari (hawk) started squawking, flapping her wings.

Bravecloud immediately calmed down. "Yeah. I know. Sorry. Just instincts kicking in."

"Shadeeye or Heartsong?" Cloverwing asked, remember seeing the dead medicine cat. The weak up was curled up beside Kalahari who kept a wing over him like a mother hawk.

Cloverwing laid his tail on his friend's shoulder. "It's ok."

"I hope so. I feel like I'm letting them down."

"Your not doing anything wrong, I promise." Cloverwing said and walked back into the den with Kalahari and the fox pup. Snowpaw had finished patching up Heartsong. She sighed and realized what she had promised at the last gathering. "I'll be back, I'm going to go look for herbs."

"Wait up sis!" Batpaw ran after her.

Mouse-dung. Snowpaw thought. Far away she could see the outline of Oakpaw.

Batpaw saw a cat and they were running right to him. "Oh..."

"Snowp- Who's that?" Oakpaw stared at Batpaw. "Oakpaw, this my brother, Batpaw. Batpaw, this is Oakpaw."

"So you're gonna be mad at Windpaw for seeing a cat in a different clan, and then turn around and do it yourself?" He asked.

"It's... Different..." Snowpaw said, her ears flattened in shame. Oakpaw sighedand laid his tail over Snowpaws shoulders. She shifted so that the tail dropped away. Batpaw started disappearing from her vision.

Batpaw walked over to her and licked her cheek. " Its ok." He whispered. "I understand. I'll make sure no cat comes looking for you."

"Thank you, Batpaw." Snowpaw sighed, relieved. Oakpaw widened his eyes. "Dang. That's a tight bond you two got." He said.

"Just don't stay with him too long. I'm only one apprentice." He ran off.

Snowpaw looked at Oakpaw and sucked in a breath. "Don't look now, but you have a spider on her head." She purred. "WHAT?!" Oakpaw swatted the spider and he growled playfully. "It was tiny!" He said. "It was spinning a web in between your ears."

Snowpaw came back with a flower crown slanted on her head. Marigold and catmint hung from her mouth.
