~~Salamanderpaw - Riverclan territory~~
The russet apprentice tom was feeling restless that night. He decided to sneak out into the territory to see if some fresh air would clear his head. Escaping through the dirtplace tunnel, he reached open air and just started to run, not really heading anywhere.
He didn't realize he'd gone so far until he reached the border though. The border to the outskirts, the border where clan territory ended. That frightened him a bit, as he had never been this far before, but also excited him. He stepped out, over the border, and took a few strides into unknown territory. He turned around to face Riverclan again, but soon heard a noise behind him, causing him to whip his head around to try and spot the cause.
At first he didn't see anything. But he squinted, and as he did so, the silhouette of what seemed to be a massive cat, farther out in the distance, came into view. It's eyes pierced through the nights darkness and stared right at him.
He blinked, and it was gone.
Spooked, Sal padded back over the border, keeping his eyes on the spot the cat was in for a moment, but once back in his territory, he turned around, and fled back to camp. He would not sleep tonight.
