Stempaw had remembered Doeflame’s offer to take her out hunting today so she glanced around camp before spotting Doeflame in the clearing, she padded over to the warrior,” Doeflame? You said you’d take me out hunting?“ she meowed hoping Doeflame wasn’t very busy.

Stempaw nodded before heading out of the camp glad to see Doeflame following her. She wasn’t sure where She’d want to hunt with her and prove her value.

Stempaw headed towards the big river, there were more tough prey such as frogs, that surely would look good to Doeflame picking tougher prey.

Following Stempaw, Doeflame was a bit distracted. Noticing they were near the river, she figured Stempaw wanted to hunt frogs. @Zesty Mango

Stempaw dropped into a crouch to hunt a frog she lept forward and pounced on it, killing it. She didn’t notice how distracted Doeflame was, so she began to look for something else to hunt.

Snapping back to it in time to see Stempaw catch the frog, Doeflame headed in the other direction, sniffing around. Scenting a mouse, she crept forward, killing it quickly with a bite to the neck. @Zesty Mango

Stempaw decided to hunt a squirrel while Doeflame was off hunting she crept towards it, but it spotted her and began running. Angrily Stempaw began chasing it, her mind tunneled in on the squirrel as she failed to notice that she had run onto the thunderpath, the squirrel was in reach, she lept pouncing on it and biting it’s neck when suddenly....

She gave a yowl in pain as a monster drove over her leg, the monster then stopped over her as she was howling in pain. And to her horror the twoleg got out of the monster’s belly and touched her. She wanted to fight the twolegs touch, but the pain was too great as they were scooping her into their arms, she glanced back bleary eyed as she saw Doeflame.

Having headed back towards Stempaw, Doeflame had seen the whole thing. With a yowl of rage, she leaped forward, and scored her claws down the twoleg's hand, hoping to force it to release Stempaw. She couldn't let another apprentice have something happen to them on her watch!

She felt the air leave her body as the Twoleg's foot connected with her body. Landing with a crunch, she struggled to get up, but feared it was already to late. @Zesty Mango
