Just Kindling On the Fire

Greetings all!

I thought of this plot last night and I'm super excited about it!

Just Kindling on the Fire:

Kindlepaw and [3-4 other apprentices] make up a social group in ShadowClan. Kindlepaw alongside Amazonpaw are the leaders. They decided if the group goes out into the territory, when they hunt outside of their training, if they confront other cats, etc. Kindlepaw is a largely forgiving leader while Amazonpaw is not. Both leaders feel a connection with their group and a siblingship that cannot be broken.

But, when [enemy] starts bullying one of the groups members, they decide something has to be done. The group, with the exception of Kindlepaw, devise a plan to go after [relative of enemy] rather than [enemy]. [enemy] is well liked by the warriors and the group doesn't want to sacrifice their social standing with the older cats for a little skirmish.

Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but Kindlepaw knows and likes [relative of enemy]. She's even developed a little bit of a crush on her. This is significant because Kindlepaw, unlike many of her friends, does not have any relationships outside the group. So, when Kindlepaw is told about their plan, she is immediatley turned off to it. Why would she want to torment this new friends life? But Amazonpaw and [3-4 apprentices] are persistent and tell her this is the only way to protect their social standing. Because Kindlepaw is so loyal to the group and has adopted their goals as her own, she agrees to go along with the plan. Though, she refuses to have anything to do with the actually bullying (it is not out of character for her to delegate instead of participate).

The group go tease, mock, and torment [relative of enemy]. This pains Kindlepaw to see but she values the group more than the friendship. [relative of enemy] goes and confronts Kindlepaw about her groups actions, demanding she give an explanation as to why she'd ever let them treat her this way. Kindlepaw tries to tell her how it all started, how [enemy] challenged the group and how she was unable to stop Amazonpaw from rallying the other apprentices, but [relative of enemy] won't hear it. She feels hurt by Kindlepaw, even if she wasn't directly involved in the plan.

[relative of enemy] breaks off their friendship, refusing to speak to Kindlepaw again. Kindlepaw breaks ties with the group and in doing so makes new enemies with Amazonpaw. [3-4 apprentices] take up messing with Kindlepaw instead of [relative of enemy], as they feel betrayed and abandoned. They latch onto Amazonpaw, who becomes sole leader of the group.


Roles:
all roles should be held by cats in shadowclan that are apprentice-aged

Apprentice #1(any gender) - Should be a strong leader. Should be more vengeful than Kindlepaw, more willing to bully, and more juvenile (though not totally kit-like).

Group Followers(any gender) - These are the 3-4 apprentices used in the plot. They can have any personality, as long as they would be on board with teasing and such. Kindlepaw will have close relationships with these cats. They should feel a kinship with her.

Enemy(any gender) - This cat should know one of the Group Followers and have reason to bully them. Otherwise, their personality can be anything. Their motivation can be whatever you like.

Relative of Enemy(female) - This cat should be able to deal with Kindlepaw's lack of social skills. They should have few interactions with her group. The ones she could have should be negative, leaving her with the feeling that Kindlepaw doesn't have the best friends. Kindlepaw will have a crush on her, but whoever ends of role-playing her can choose weather or not she reciprocates. She can be heterosexual. She should be sensitive enough to be genuinely hurt by the tormenting she receives.

I think if you play up some part of her personality she could be really good in that role! Being instinctive, erratic, self-reliant but clingy with friends is exactly what I'm going for.

I have Dovepaw who could be relative of enemy. She was bullied a lot as a kit and is still picked on it so she's not very sensitive to it by now. I haven't RPes her in awhile so this plot might be helpful to get that going again. PS, practically all her relations are inactive or deceased.

Dovepaw is great but she might be a little too social for Kindlepaw. Kindle is easily intimidated by hyper-playful, hyper-curious cats. It's no problem with you, just that the character doesn't quite fit.

I totally understand that I applied knowing there was a chance she was to social so no hard feelings! ^^

i had some ideas for the relative of enemy but i'll save that one for later, didn't really fit the part the best way it could so yeah. i could make one of the followers?
