@starfall ( @Clover @RedHead & @Bad Wolf in case you guys were interested :3)

Making her way through the reeds, a brown and golden molly stopped beside a nest that was not too far from the river. She knew that it could be dangerous living new water. She was aware that it could flood and that would endanger her and her two kits. But the season was changing, and it was in the early stages of leaf-fall, meaning that the air was drying and hopefully there was less chance of a flood. Plus, her kits would be older when it came to be about the time of new-leaf, when there tended to be a lot of rain that followed the cold moons that no-leaf brought. And the Anuket would always keep a watchful eye on the river to make sure that it didn't grow to much. If it were, than she would quickly make sure to grab her kits and leave the area until it was safe again.

Plus, the molly loved the river! She loved swimming in it, hunting in it and even simply watching the shimmering currents as the watery life pasted her. Anuket had grown up near a river similar to this one. She had always loved the water, even when she was traveling and was no longer near a river, she would have dreams of when she was a kit. When she would spend time playing in the river; splashing, fishing, and even when she would simply cool her paws down in the cold liquid. It would always make her happy, to think of the river that she had grown up beside. And now she had her own river! Anuket was far from her kit-hood home, but she still felt close by when she laid down beside her new home, and when she hunted and swam.

She dropped a fish when she reached a nest that was hidden near the river. "I'm back," she purred, curling he tail as she looked at her two kits. Her heart broke at the thought of the other three. She remembered Hephaestus. She remembered the day that they had met. At first, she had simply been trying to help him. His mental stated looks as if it had be strained. She thought she could help.... But it ended up like this. She had not meant to have his kits. She had figured out that he was insane and dangerous, so she had not told him and instead tried to leave without him figuring out. But he found out. And he found them. Anuket was lucky to have gotten away with two of her kits, but when she thought about what could have happened to the other three, she felt like wailing loudly due to her helplessness on the matter. What happened to them? Did he hurt them? Is he the one raising them? Did he kil- she quickly shook the last thought form her head, refusing to think of that. The molly focused back on her remaining kits.

She hoped they didn't grow up to be like their father.

A small brown and golden molly looked up when she heard her mother's call. Perking her ears, Egypt knew that this meant that she had fresh-kill and ran over. The she-kit had been playing with a leave a bit too close to the river, though luckily Anuket had arrived before she could get any closer. "Hi!" Her tail waved behind her as she greeted her mother, bouncing up to the queen and the fish. Egypt purred and smiled at the sight. "Thank you!" She had to admit that she did love fish. In fact, the young molly loved the river almost as much as her mother did. The kit turned to look for her brother. "Come on, fresh-kill!" She announced loudly.

@Hexict

The flame colored feline lifted his head at the call for food, and let out a little squeak as his sister stepped on his tail. He turned his blazing blue optics toward Egypt and glared at her "Thanks." he said simply, picking himself up after he let the pain wave past. He scrunched up his nose as he smelled the slimy kill, he detested fish, they always had little bones that always stabbed his throat and got stuck inbetween his teeth, that and it just tasted bad. He looked at his mother, a pitiful gaze painted on his face "Mom" he whined "why fish? We've had this for three moons in a row!" he exclaimed, stomping his little paw down on the dirt, his ears folded against his head. "Next time I'll go hunt for us and get us something tastier!" he exclaimed, a huge grin spread across his face as he said so. He loved going off on adventures, and he loved it even more when he could bring stuff back for his mother and sister, after all he was the only tom there, he had to keep them safe, it was his job after all. He fluffed up his flame colored fur and looked at his mother with pride, he knew that he had been heartbroken about his supposed siblings, he had never seen them, he didn't know he had any siblings other than Egypt until Anuket had told the two. He was astounded at first, but after it had passed he was joyous! He had other siblings to look after, more siblings to protect, more siblings to care for.
Benu looked at the fish, then looked at his mother, he had overheard her speaking about their father, and noted that he looked fairly similar to him, his red fur and blue eyes, but the mix of his mother's beautiful golden coat made his own fur look like he was walking fire, which he approved of, after all, cats as well as other creatures were intimidated by fire, helped him protect those he cared for easier. "hey mom, what was dad like?" he asked innocently, his head cocking to the side, his blue optics flickering with curiosity. He was purely curious, he wanted the whole story, not little titbits he had overheard from his mother. After he asked that he looked towards his sister, flicking his tail, telling her to come his way and sit next to him.

@starfall sorry for the wait! :c

Egypt didn't seem to notice her brother's tail as she bolted towards the fish. Her tail waved at the fresh-kill. As Bennu joined them, the molly lashed her tail. "What do you mean!? Fish is great!" She could not understand why her brother has a dislike for fish. The she-kit was very similar to their mother in the way that she loved fish and the river. Egypt loved to go swimming whenever Anuket would allow it, and she loved to eat the fish! Of course, it was all that she ate, but the kit was sure that it was better than any of the land prey that she sometimes saw. But Egypt never wanted to taste any of those dumb prey. She wanted something from the river! "You must have weird taste senses if you don't like fish," she wrinkled her nose as she stated this. As if picturing eating a mouse, having to eat through the fur and skin, and her mind told her it was disgusting.

The queen's gaze showed a tired or saddened expression as her son complained about their food source. She felt as though maybe she was not cut out to being a mother. That she wasn't doing a good enough job as a single mother raising two kits. She couldn't even protect her other kits form their father! but the brown and golden molly shook her head and looked down at the young tom. "We have to eat the fish... isn't it good? Fish is very good for cat who wish to become big and strong. So you must eat it up," she offered a tired smile and hoped that he did not notice. The loner never learned how to hunt for prey that lived on the land. When she was traveling and happened to be away from the river, some cats would actually share their prey with her, or she was able to find some scraps when she was in the forest or even around two-legs' nest. She had no idea how to hunt for something that he son would like. The queen, like Egypt, did not understand why he did not like the fish she brought back to them. But unlike her daughter, she did not snap at him, but she wouldn't be able to hunt anything other than fish.

At his exclamation of hunting for better prey, Anuket gave a small chuckle. "You can hunt for us next time," she promised the tom-kit. Anuket was pleased to see the adventurous spark in her son's orbs. The molly had never seen adventure in his father, the tom had focused too much on his past to look for the future. Bennu's adventurous spark helped fan the little flicker of hope she had that her kits wouldn't end up like their father. That they would grow up to be helpful and friendly, to be peaceful and understanding. She hoped that they wouldn't become vengeful, hold grudges and become violent when they are older. Maybe she'll be able to at least prevent that? If there was something that she could do for her kits, than it would be that. It would be to make sure they have a happy life, a life that made them wish to be good cats and maybe even help others?

But hopefully they wouldn't fall into trouble like she had.

The queen moved the fish closer to Egypt with her muzzle, and purred when she watched the young she-kit quickly dig into the fresh-kill. But the molly froze the moment Bennu mentioned their father. She whirled around to look at him, unsure what had caused the young tom to bring up such a subject. W-why would he ask that? She felt her heart skip a beat as memories of Hephaestus flashed through mind, leading up to him stealing away three of their kits, who she now had no idea if they were even still alive. When she moved on from the flashes and forced her thoughts from her lost kits, the queen glanced away as she tried to figure out what to say. Anuket bit her bottom lip before speaking. "You father... he was... different?" The uncertainty in her tone was clear, but she quickly continued in hoped he did not catch on. "He wasn't like many cats I have met," Anuket did not wish to tell them that he was a monster, since it was their father. Granted, she was sure they might not think highly of their father, but she wasn't going to get into the violent details. "He's strong and likes to be independent. The type of cat who isn't always open for friends, but the two of us... we seemed to have connected when we first met," the molly found herself blushing at the memory of when they use to actually be close. Hephaestus was s handsome and he did seem strong, before she realized that his mental state was so tangled and dangerous. Blinking, she shook her head. "But let us not worry much about him," the mother licked Bennu's forehead. Then she decided to ask the question that came to mind as soon as he as brought up their father. "W-why do you ask, anyway?"
