Thank you for your interest in joining DayClan. We'd love to roleplay with you!
But first, please thoroughly read the contents of this post,
where the roleplay will begin once (if) we have enough interest.

DayClan is a realistic and semi- to advanced-literate roleplay.
As such, we ask that all those who wish to join fill out a short application
to tell us a bit about the character you'd like to use.

If you'd like to be a high rank, read how to obtain one here.
We will be choosing the deputy and medicine cat apprentice
based on roleplayer activity around the Clan.

Default Re: DayClan Sign-Ups

Name: Riskflight
Gender: F
Age: 24 moons
Rank: Warrior
Appearance: It's a common consensus that if Riskflight were aware of her beauty, she would be the talk of the Clan. She's picture perfect, her form a model of symmetry and slender elegance. This wasn't always the case; when she was younger, she was skinny as a stick, her face cut into sharp angles. These rounded out over the moons into a fuller, healthier visage, complete with a pair of pale olive green eyes rimmed with gold. They regard people carefully but flatly, almost as if even while she's looking at you, she'll be always looking past you, too. It's a fairly atypical expression for cats, and nothing uncanny or irregular, and so it's usually easily ignored - somewhat like her voice, which, though normal if slightly low-pitched, can have a faint nasally ring to it that has unconsciously annoyed many. Her ears are a little less easy to pass off; prominent and humorously big for her body, she's never grown into them, even after forty-three moons.

It's not, of course, as if she's staggeringly radiant. She's not. She's just an ordinary looking she-cat that happened to be gifted with a few traits that make her seem to stand out from the crowd, even when she's really just one of the girls. But nobody really notices her looks as beyond pretty; Riskflight herself isn't aware of beauty, in herself or anyone else, and so does nothing to flaunt it, making it hard to view her as somebody other than the tabby cat that she is. Marked with shades of brown and tan, lined by dark brown and black bands, she's the very definition of the breed. For the most part, the stripes are the most prominent, a pattern of broken waves that extend from her shoulders to her tail and wrap around the legs and occasionally mixed in with disfigured spots. On her forehead, the black swoops down to form the customary 'v' over the eyes, the tip arching up into a longer line that travels over her head to merge with the black on her neck. In contrast, the white on her muzzle is often overlooked; perhaps because it blends too well into the tan below.

Almost as if it were reflecting the way the colors of her pelt slide together in a cacophony of brown and black, Riskflight's movements, unlike her general attitude, have always been relatively balanced. A life on the edge has turned her into someone with the most grounding you'll ever meet, her habits forcing her to never have even the slightest room for clumsiness when one false step could be the end. Because of this, she doesn't walk heavy, precisely, but somewhere in the middle - with the intensity of a gymnast on beam but with the ease they do their flips. It's not graceful. It never could be considered graceful, and if you even thought it, you would be doing your powers of observation a great insult. This is reflected in the smaller movements, as well; even when she cleans herself, it's with the uncanny precision of somebody who will never, ever, fall of their feet or tip over. Despite that, though, she's always perpetually relaxed, except for the few times you can see her visibly tensing to carry out a stunt - and then, and only then, does it seem like she has any muscles at all. Riskflight is caught between having a powerful stature and a delicate one; and so, with no recourse left to her and no hope to ever achieve either, she has settled for only what her body allows her: the flexibility and strength of a risk taker.

Not even her flexibility or strength keep her from getting beat up, though. There have been many instances where Riskflight tried something she wasn't ready for, or overexerted herself, and ended up with a night or even a month in the medicine cat's den. A sprained paw there, a broken tail here, a huge cut across her face caused by a rock she landed awkwardly on - Riskflight's been in an out of the medicine cat's den more times than she can count. If you look carefully, it's obvious in her appearance - faint scars or a slight crookedness to her structure that never quite goes away. It's even gotten to the point where Riskflight sometimes takes longer to heal than normal, though nothing serious. For the most part, she doesn't mind the bruises and the bumps. Each are tests of her endurance, and she's gotten to the point where she's actually quite proud of them. Thankfully, her body has never been afflicted with any sickness other than physical injuries - and so, in part, perhaps that pride is fueled by relief. The threat of broken bones is not so serious as that of an illness where she can no longer move.

Though it was unusual that her parents, being what colors they were, managed to produce a cat like her, Riskflight never gave it much thought. She couldn't be illegitimate because she had a younger brother; and, so, somehow her parents genes had met in an entirely unexpected way. Not unexpected, though, was the fact they had all inherited their father's expressions. Most discerning of all was what they called 'the unfortunate family squint,' a squint that was used in any situation to display whatever they were feeling, though admittedly it worked best for doubt. It's very unflattering, and has the odd effect of making them look nearsighted; but then again, she is, a little. Not even her father could deny his sister's side completely. On the other hand, Riskflight's smile is entirely her own, a slow spreading grin that stretches the corners of her mouth. She doesn't have a 'normal smile - for her, there are only two kinds of smiles - fierce and joyful or simply amused. But it's the former you see the most, the wild and vicious expression of somebody about to leap across the crevasse for the thrill - and knowing that they'll always, always, land on the other side.

Personality: Riskflight lives. That's the only way to describe it. She lives fully, completely, and all the time, her life vicarious and varied and never lacking. That, perhaps, is why she takes such a toll on those around her, with the notable exception of her siblings, who don't notice only because they've grown up with her. But with others, Riskflight is exhausting even at the best of times, her energy channeled through everything she does, adrenaline flowing through her veins like blood. It's a special kind of person that doesn't walk away from a meeting with her with the great desire to lay down and sleep it all off; she's just infinitely forceful without even realizing it. In part, this is attributed to her inability to be inactive - though she can take time off and rest if the conditions are right, more often than not she'll be found doing something, always choosing to be busy over any other option. Whether it's repairing a den or leaping from treetops, anything that can be counted as taking up time is something, in her mind, well worth accomplishing.

Most accomplishing, though, is taking a risk. Initially driven by curiosity, Riskflight has grown a little more pragmatic with age, now on the path of trying things out because she wants to prove to herself how far her body and mind can go. Part of it is the adrenaline, of course, and the feeling of being invincible, but the other is fear. As she's grown older, Riskflight has become even more aware of how a body can fail and falter as age consumes it inside out, something that has forever kept her away from the elder's den and the medicine cat's den. Even then, though, she knows that her body is not as young as it once was, despite the fact she's in the best shape possible for any Clan cat - and she's scared to hell about the day it will finally break. It's a fear that keeps her paralyzed when she can't sleep at night, the sole source of her nightmares and her horrors, and it's gotten to a point so bad that she's even afraid to get sick - because that, of course, will incapacitate her body, and who knows if she'll be able to recover.

Similarly, it's only when she's doing her stunts that she lives completely in the present. In any other situation she's always thinking of 'next time,' what she can do to perfect the move or keep herself busy or how she'd shoot back a retort. She doesn't mind having things go wrong at first - it's a learning experience, one that she eagerly absorbs - but to have it go wrong twice is unforgivable. Worse yet if it's the exact same mistake; even as an apprentice, Riskflight didn't like messing up, though she rarely ever did. She's not the best hunter or fighter - or even warrior, her self-taught apprenticeship didn't allow for that - but she makes up for it with her stunts, carving out a niche for herself in the Clan world as the 'one that does the crazy things.' It's not quite enough, really, but it's what she's got, and Riskflight knows that's as good as it will ever be. Besides, when she hangs over the edge, balancing as if she's about to make her name come true and take off into the sky - none of that really matters.

She's not very intelligent, which is something she has no problem admitting, and you shouldn't, either. Especially when trying to grasp big picture concepts or visualize, Riskflight needs a lot of time and patience, and even then, it's rare she gets the full idea. Because of this, Riskflight is a firm believer in forgive and forget, mostly because she doesn't understand long-term grudges or why somebody would hate each other because of what another person did. Honestly, though, she never pays much attention to the oh-so-trivial world of social hierarchies. Riskflight has always been purely physical, and the only thing about her mind that interests her is how it makes a difference in the stunts she takes. For her, her mind is a game; she has to conquer it, and her fear or hesitation or anxiety, and if she can't, then she's not ready yet, and more training is in order. It's rigorous, the stuff she puts herself through, and often dangerous; but then again, Riskflight has her God, and she only puts her trust in him when she's about to carry out anything that could harm her in any way.

Not that she's a fanatic, or she doesn't believe in StarClan. She just believes in another God, too, a different God - the risk-taking God - to protect her every time she risks her life. It's to this God that she prays to, dedicates her life to, and thanks. She doesn't believe in chance, or luck, or coincidences; if, one day she falls, then all it means is that her God no longer protects her. But he won't, she knows. Despite the fact she's had to be the butt of some ridicule over her belief, he still won't ever let her fall. She doesn't discuss it much, though. Things that are private in Riskflight's life are always kept private, though admittedly, there's nothing much to hide. She doesn't make much of an effort outside of her family, though she enjoys the company of others, no matter how stupid or annoying they might be - she's very tolerant in that way. There's really no type of person that irritates her or her ways, making her very easy-going. On the rare occasions that somebody does frustrate her, it's always because they've insulted or insinuated she's not good enough at what she does, or she doesn't know what she's doing - and in many ways, she hates that even more than the promise of aging.

But what about some of the best things about her? Riskflight is the person you want to go to when you want a good time. Without a doubt, the she-cat knows how to throw the best kind of adrenaline rushing party, and she has a great head for organizing things. Her life and vitality with undoubtedly infect you, and though you'll eventually reach a point of exhaustion while she's still going strong, there's no denying that if you let her, she'll treat you to a dazzling array of risks and thrills. It's always somewhat of a risk in itself to hang out with her, since you never know what'll happen, but - and especially if you're willing and you're fit - she'll climb with you to the top of the world and dive off with you with the promise that nothing will ever go wrong. And it doesn't. Riskflight is a very trustworthy person, though some people would call it arrogance that she believes anybody with her won't come to any harm. It's a distinction other Clan members have to make themselves, and their decision will inevitably affect the way they treat her. She's gotten everything to adoration to disdain, and to be honest, she's gotten a little indifferent to it.

What people don't realize, though, is that it's a two-way bond. Riskflight is her own person, definitely, but at the same time, she's come to depend on others to stop her from going too far. Instinctively, somewhere in the back of her mind, she knows that not even her God would be able to save her from some of the stupider things she's thought about doing - but it's like an addiction, and if she isn't stopped, she'll do it anyway. Many times she's come close to seriously hurting herself, but she's always been halted by somebody ordering her not to do it. Is that a good thing? It's hard to say. It makes her wonder what would happen if somebody wasn't there to stop her - would she keep on going? Would she kill herself, or worse, incapacitate herself? Could she go that far? And it's a question that even she doesn't quite know the answer to. Truthfully, though - she doesn't want an answer. And so she relies on others even more to pull her back from the brink, until the day where maybe they can't anymore, and then - well - she would see.

All in all, Riskflight is a very normal kind of cat. Being the second-youngest sibling of a family of four, she's developed some extremely sassy habits that often come off as rude to those not used to her ways. Not that she cares, though. Riskflight isn't that great with other people's feelings, though she tries very hard; when she was younger, there was often no room for consideration of others' feelings if you wanted to be heard. Similarly, she's very easily amused, laughing at other things people do with an ease that's almost criminal and, like her rudeness, is often misconstrued as offensive. To make matters worse, 'sorry' isn't really a word in her vocabulary, though she will never, ever laugh at something she can tell you think is important. She's not the kind of cat that would ever allow somebody to laugh at somebody else's dreams, no matter how insane they might be, and even if you're supposed to be her enemy, she'll defend you with every last breath she has. She's just that sort of person, and even if she doesn't always do what you want her to - well - that's just part of the package.

Other: When Creamfrost announced what she wanted to name her second to last kit, a small daughter with such different coloring than either of her parents, Brookstorm stopped gazing fondly at the rest of his children and squinted at her. It was a very dubious kind of squint, the kind that questioned sanity. But Creamfrost would not give up, stating a whole bunch of nonsense - the relationship had been an emotional and physical risk, growing up in a Clan was a risk, having older and unwanted cousins that would probably kill you soon as look at you was a risk - that left Brookstorm utterly bemused and wondering if he had placed his affections on the right cat. He squinted again, this time the kind of squint that had confirmed she was insane but also had a heavy stubborn streak to it. He was not, he announced right back at her, going to let her name her kit what she wanted - and the battle went on. She won, of course. Brookstorm had no patience and was even less unwilling to fight it out with a blissful queen that could squint even better than him. Tipping his head back in exasperation, he finally relented, allowing the oh-so-untraditional Clan name fall from his mate's lips and onto the soul of their daughter. Risk-kit she would be. Her father felt it heralded trouble he didn't need, and her mother loved it.

Risk-kit had three other siblings to call her own - her older sister, the eldest, then her brother, and then herself, born just before her younger brother. Even from the beginning, they all adored each other, so much so that it didn't matter to Risk if they had names - for all she cared, they didn't. Being siblings was enough. Together, they played, the older ones looking out for the younger and vice-versa, and they were infectious; very soon, they had roped the rest of the kits into their wildly imagined games. All except a few. Nobody quite knew why they were so aloof; even they didn't, sometimes, and would join in their games, though their parents would never even look at each other in the Nursery. There was only one kit that exempt from this, though Risk-kit blearily remembered a time when she was younger that he, too, would play. He was silver gray, and frowned a lot, and never looked at her with anything less than dislike and disgust. "What's his name?" she asked her older brother one day, when they were sprawled out on the floor in boredom, the rain outside sending a vague, musty kind of smell through the den. "Silverkit," was the short reply. "He's stupid. He doesn't want to play with us and he's mean every time we try." Her brother rolled on his stomach and looked at her. "Don't try to talk to him," he said with the calm conviction allowed to kits. "You'll just be yelled at." And so Risk-kit didn't.

Default Re: DayClan Sign-Ups

Name:
Robinwing

Gender:
Male

Age:
36 moons

Rank:
Warrior

Appearance

Ref//Ref//Ref

Robinwing has a ginger base coat with brown, overlaying fur. His ginger fur looks almost invisible under his dark, tabby stripes. His eyes are a glittering, mint green that shine with enthusiasm. His fur is quite long, and his stature is wide and tall. His tail is rather short, and the stripes on it seem to never end. On the bottom of his tail is the ginger-brown color his hide seems to wear. If he was pure ginger, he might've stuck out like a sore thumb, but thankfully this tom was born with handsome black stripes.
Robinwing is a broad-shouldered, muscular tom. He is very powerful, and fighting is his strong suit. With powerful forearms, Robinwing strikes out at his opponent with the force of a snarling fox. However strong he is, he lacks speed. He can be easily outsped by his opponent, but his power makes up for it. Being outspend can be trouble for him, however, and multiple hits can make this tom pretty dizzy. Thus, Robinwing bears many scars. Nicked ears and scarred shoulders give him a fierce appearance.

Personality
However fierce he may look, Robinwing is just a big teddy bear. He is very supportive of his friends, and isn't the type to state his opinion when something gets him upset. Robinwing loves to gives kits badger rides, and the kits love it too. His broad shoulders make it seem as if he really is a badger to those small, playful kittens.
Speaking of kittens, Robinwing hopes to one day have a mate and kits of his own. He is straight, but has no problem with homosexual and bisexual Clanmates. His standards for a mate are pretty high, however. His mate has to meet all of his expectations, or he will simply leave. Selfish it sounds, but Robinwing thinks this is smart. Why get caught up in a relationship you can't be happy in?
Robinwing may be more cuddly than anything, but he is quite confident and playful. He will always challenge his close friends to races or maybe a game of hide and seek for old times sake. Robinwing smiles often, and only puts on a serious face in serious times. He is very friendly with his Clanmates, and some might say he is flirty.
Though he doesn't mean to be flirty, Robinwing hangs around she-cats, and teases them. This makes others think he is a flirt. However, Robinwing just likes to mess around with his friends. Why can't a tom be friends with a molly? That would be a question he would ask if someone confronted him about his "flirting".

Other:
Robinwing has no mother. At least, not anymore. His mother died from sickness when he was only a kit.

Here is Dewnose's site page: Click

Name:
Dewnose
Gender:
Female
Age:
42 moons
Rank:
Warrior
Strives for a higher rank
Appearance:
Dew is a fluffy, lithe cat with calico markings and a scar along her left flank. Her fur is long and thick, often getting tangled of picking up sticks and leaves as she moves. Her fur also makes her thin body look much larger than it is, as well as hiding the definition of her strong leg muscles. She has wide, bright blue eyes which are darker near the edges and seem almost green close to her pupils. Her markings are dilute, very light and soft-looking. The majority of her pelt is white, but her back and top of her head are covered in her dilute spots, except for her nose, which is a dark black color that spreads up towards her eyes a bit.
Personality:
{Alert}
Dewnose is always alert of her surroundings, her ears pricked to hear, mouth open to scent, eyes open to see. She is even a little suspicious of everything, always thinking of what could go wrong and always believe it will end that way. She will not settle down until she is sure the camp is safe and the territory is free of dangerous pests. She is a very light sleeper, waking up at the slightest things which leaves her tired a lot.
{Boring}
Every cat can agree that this calico is not entertaining, and probably won't ever be. She prefers a serious conversation over joking, whenever she tries to joke no one really laughs, then she'll try to explain it and destroy any possible chance of humor. When telling a story she isn't like other cats who make it longer than it is in order to make kits and apprentices happy, but she gets straight to the point and skips the finer details.
{Brave/Fearless}
Dewnose is a brave cat, willing to do anything for her clan and those she loves. This can sometimes lead to her making stupid, spontaneous decisions which can get her hurt or in trouble. She never admits her fears, leading other to think she is fearless, but of course, no cat is fearless but some can ignore fears pretty well.
{Bossy/Finicky}
Dewnose has decent leadership skills, she is intelligent and knows the cats around her well enough but she can be a bit too bossy. She doesn't like when her words are disobeyed or ignored, especially by younger cats who don't respect her at all. She can also be quite finicky about things, she will point out small mistakes in a task and speak as if it is a big deal even if it isn't.
{Imapteint}
This can lead to her being impatient. If she knows it can be done quicker than it should, a cat shouldn't take their sweet time on anything. With her apprentices, this can make her a bit feisty when they don't understand her teachings and directions. She will often sigh loudly when things aren't as fast as she likes but she doesn't usually express this verbally.
{Capable}
Dew is very capable of many tasks, being brave enough to defend the clan, and knowing many stress relievers to keep from working herself too hard and stressing herself out. She is a strong, intelligent cat and a great warrior. She admits her flaws, very open about them and willing to take criticism and improve.

Name: Iridescent
Meaning: Showing luminous colors that see to change when seen from different angles

Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/her/hers
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Age: 30 Moons
Conception Date: December 8th
Age in Years: 2.5

Rank: Loner
Previous Ranks: Kit

Appearance: Calico
Eye Color: Misty, silvery blue eyes, right eye is cloudy
Fur Length: Nonexistent | Short | Medium | Long | Extra Long
Dominant Fur Color: White
Limbs: Long and powerful
Ears: Sharp, white, and tipped with a mix of dark brown, burnt orange, and pitch black
Face Shape: Softly angled forehead that leads smoothly to a delicate muzzle
Face Fur: White face with a brown muzzle and an orange spot, on top of a brown stripe, just above her pink nose
Nose: Small, pink, and sensitive
Body Shape: Slender and willowy
Body Fur: White with brown legs starting at the hock, black toes, burnt orange and brown patches dapple her slender frame, a brown stripe starting above her nose follows the curve of her spine, and ends at her tail tip
Tail Length: Nonexistent | Stub | Short | Normal | Long | Extra Long
Tail Color: White with a brown stripe along the top that leads to a black tail tip
Disfigurements: Born with an almost blind right eye
Major Scars: Three long claw slices split her fur, revealing pink lines that stand out violently across her white left cheek, marring her beautifully put together features

Personality: Fairly well-rounded, but a little on the snippy side
Likes: For being a rather unsocial she-cat, Iridescent actually likes the company of cats, preferably introverts, like her. She likes to hunt, usually alone, and also enjoys the taste of trout, when she can catch them. Her favorite past time is climbing, as she was gifted with the ease of scaling trees.
Dislikes: Iridescent absolutley hates crowds. Mainly becuase they make her feel trapped, and like she is always being watched by someone. Although she is a fan of hunting, she dislikes being caught unawares herself. Being in control of her emotions and actions is one of her talents. She also dislikes cats who pry. She believes in only sharing information when it's necessary.
Fears: Iridescent is very afraid of being taken advantage of and being held captive. She likes being free and in control, and anything that will stifle that is typically a fear of hers. She is also deathly afraid of fire. She has been near flames once and didn't exactly enjoy it.
Strengths: Iridescent is a skilled huntress. She has achieved her strong ability as a tree hunter through constant practice and careful observation. Also, as mentioned above, is a wonderful climber. Her most unpredictable skill, though, is the talent to track. She can find almost anything she sets her mind to.
Weaknesses: Iridescent is a very independent cat, not enjoying or accepting of help. She seems to find trouble, even if she doesn't go looking for it. Ofcourse, she will go looking for trouble when she feels like it. After all, what did she have to lose? She also likes an exciting life, which could lead to many different problems. Although Iridescent is one hell of a trouble maker at times, she wouldn't deliberately hurt another, unless provoked. Ofcourse, it doesn't really take much more than surprising her or angaging with her prickly temper.
Obvious Traits: When you first meet her, Iridescent will probably be one of two things, openly hostile or cooley polite. She can be rather standoffish, and can come off as rather short-tempered and ready for a fight. She also can be perceived as experienced in the area of survival and wisely wary of strangers. It all depends on how you look at it.
Obscure Traits: Sure, Iridescent is a little prickly with strangers, but wouldn't you be to if you were brought up by a mother who told you a lie your whole life? Underneath her fiery shell, she' seemed really just insecure. She wants to trust, but doesn't know how. Iridescent can be caring and protective of something other than her pride and territory if you give her enough time. Even the hardest stone is the most precious jewel (Diamonds)

Other:Yes
Theme Song: How You Remind Me by Nicklenack
Quote: The world is a jungle, you either fight or run forever
Quote: The hardest part about being strong is that no one asks if you're okay
Questions: @Rose Queen and @Mad King, is this okay? Also, need I be accepted? Oh, and, will she be allowed to join the clan if I choose to roleplayit out?

Appearance

{Alert}
{Boring}
{Brave/Fearless}
{Bossy/Finicky}
{Imapteint}
{Capable}
Dew is very capable of many tasks, being brave enough to defend the clan, and knowing many stress relievers to keep from working herself too hard and stressing herself out. She is a strong, intelligent cat and a great warrior. She admits her flaws, very open about them and willing to take criticism and improve.

Tail Length: Nonexistent | Stub | Short | Normal | Long | Extra Long

@Mad King

First off, thank you.
Second off, I didn't really have a set plan for her joining, I just had a few random ideas, none of which are fully developed. So basically, Iridescent is found trespassing and hunting on DayClan territory and is taken into camp becuase, being a bit more impatient and snippy than necessary, she doesn't exactly listen to the warriors who encounter her. The other one was she was fighting a fox and, to her irritation, couldn't beat the creature it alone. The las idea is much simpler and doesn't be involve her striking hostility: Iridescent wanders along the border and meets a cat, maybe the medicine cat, who somehow doesn't strike up the old fire of hostility and she ends up learning about DayClan and decides to ask for acceptance.

Name Ebonypaw
Gender Female
Age 8 moons
Rank Apprentice
Appearance
Ref | Ref | Ref | Ref | Ref
Slick and black. Ebonypaw was named for her dark black fur that resembles the dark wood, ebony. She has dark brown/black tints around her neck, that could be called highlights. When the light hits them in a certain way they tend to light up almost and have their natural burnt wood color show more. She has flecks of silver fur on her chest, though their are really only around four of those. The fur around Ebonypaw's joints has the same burnt wood color as the ringlet around her chest. In fact, in every place their is the burnt wood color it tends to be a circle. Like a necklace that is around her neck, or a braided jewel anklet. Most of her fur is not fluffy, but the fur on her paws is probably the fluffiest fur ever, soft and fluffy covering up her paws with something someone is going to want to touch. Ebonypaw's fur is always neatly groomed, as she pays attention to make sure it isn't knotted, it's slick and sometimes has a bit of fluff in the really well groomed places. The fur on her tail should probably be one of the slickest, but it is one of the fluffiest. Next to her paws of course.

Then there's the thing that in most romantic stories people talk about. Eyes. Gazing into another persons eyes. Well, you need to know the color of the eye in order to make that sentence where "Emerald eyes meant sky blue" ext. ext. so I'm going to tell you about Ebonypaw's eyes. Her eyes can not be defined by one color. They are a mixture of what seems like a million colors. But one that stands out is the deep amber. It edges her eyes right next to her black fur, going from black to a lovely amber. It's beautiful really. The best part is even though the amber is the most beautiful where it is at the rim it continues on through the olive, lime and other colors that are stronger in the center. Little flakes of amber. The very center of her eye has a even more surprising color. Of course there is the black, but around it? Royal blue. It's true, around that black there is a only slightly faded royal blue. Now one spot in the eye with royal blue is enough, but what if I told you there were two. Two in each eye. At the rim, along with the amber, there is a deep royal blue. Royal blue, amber, cream, royal blue again, and then black. Beautiful.

And finally, what is best used when fighting or hunting, but really action in general, her build. Those sentences where "the wind rippled her pelt and you could see the muscles flexing as she ran" could not exist without knowledge of the cats build. Ebonypaw's is thin, and running built is you were to put it briefly. But in more descriptive words, well, that will be in this paragraph. She has long limbs, definitely built for running or swimming. Hunting would be easy. She has muscles in her shoulders and right above her back legs, they're obvious when you look at her. When Ebonypaw moves a muscle, it's easy to see for all the hairs around where she did it move. The ripple is beautiful. You can imagine her swimming and hunting easily, though fighting looks like a weak spot for her. Even if she can leap upon cats easily. The muscles in her back legs are surprisingly strong. Well, after that I can just say that I'm finished telling you about her build, and I'm sure you have a good picture of what she looks like.
Personality
Ebonypaw is a cat of few words, probably one that very few would want to hang out with. It's not that she can't speak, but rather she doesn't want to. Some cats may think she's silly, for not speaking her mind or simply watching when other cats are doing something important. But every cat is important, even if they don't say much. Ebonypaw is one of those cats. She doesn't speak much, but she is a good listener and doesn't make rude comments even if she thinks it. She feels the need to take things in more than to tell other cats everything she thinks and everything she sees. Now I'm not saying she's a daydreamer, I'm just saying that she understands lots of things. Most of them involving silence. Every cat has their silent moments, for Ebonypaw it's just a larger amount than most cats.

Ebonypaw chooses to watch and listen rather than speak. If she needs to she will, she's not mute, and she answers questions that cats might ask. Just as long as the questions don't involve what she can and cannot do. She doesn't like interviews as you might say. But that's not the point, I'm saying she observes instead of going in and speaking her mind, cutting other cats off and bossing them around. She thinks that saying what she thinks could hurt other cats feelings, so she keeps quiet. Being quiet will hurt cats feelings less than yelling at them because you disagree with something they said right? She has good intentions, but fails often. No cat is perfect, that includes Ebonypaw. But think about it, if you were "mute" for a day, then wouldn't you learn a lot more by watching and listening. Ebonypaw does. Maybe you should try it. She seems to make it pretty easily when she doesn't talk to much. It's like you have an extra pair of ears and eyes. You can hear things you never thought were there. You can see things you never thought were there. Ebonypaw chooses to listen and learn. As well as watch. She focuses on her other senses and is quieter than most cats. It's really not that strange. I mean, sometimes you want to hear things. Or see things. Then to focus you need to be quiet. Ebonypaw just bases her life off that.

But even if quiet is the number one word you would use to describe her, every cat has deeper emotions. Ebonypaw is very emotional, and emotionally vulnerable. She has problems with her romantic relationships. She believes that some day the right cat will just come skipping around the corner. The "right" cat turns out to be multiples cats. Too many cats. Way too many cats. As in if you come skipping around the corner she'll think you're the right cat. Kidding, kidding! Ebonypaw just thinks that you can fall in love without any control, she's right, and she has a problem where she has no control over it at all. Maybe this paragraph on inner emotions wasn't the greatest idea. But, she just seems to think that even if she fails the the first "right" cat, she will always find another. As emotional she is, she gets over her past relationships easily. She is also extremely sensitive, so platonic loves can also hurt her way more than you would expect. Ebonypaw should probably get better in that category. Sadly that won't happen anytime soon. Why wouldn't it? Every cat has there faults.

Now, I said that every cat has there faults and it's not like emotionally unstable is her only problem. Everyone has more. As she is sensitive, Ebonypaw strives hard to impress cats. Like way to much. But wouldn't you if you believed you were frowned upon by your entire clan? She doesn't understand that cats will accept and love you just the way you are. She thinks that only she will do that and that she is constantly frowned upon for being quiet. She often self doubts and is always trying to impress cats. She thinks she needs to impress cats in order to be accepted by them. It's silly, but it's just the way she is. If you tell her it's silly, she'll see it as you disapproving of her and probably not speak to you again. Impressing cats is what she thinks will get her somewhere. However, Ebonypaw thinks that cats find her unimpressive and that she should just go back to apprentice duties. She is hard working, but is always worried about other cats view of her. Like if she'll do it wrong. She often takes to long to check the elders for ticks ext. ext. because she fears she'll mess up.

Ebonypaw strongly believes that every cat has say in the matter. She doesn't like the fact that sometimes only one cat is the one choosing the decision. She doesn't think it's a good thing as it seems like cats are being forced into doing something. She doesn't like that and wants every cat to be able to do their own thing and have a good time, but follow the warrior code as well. Doesn't every cat get a say in a decision that would change the effect greatly? Ebonypaw thinks they should. Because every cat has a view, even if she doesn't show hers some cats strive to get an opinion in things. Every cat should. every cat should get a say in the matter. That's what she thinks, and she's sticking to it.

Other Since she's an apprentice will her mentor be chosen?

Sunstrike was named after his beautiful golden pelt, which stood out prominently since he was born. As he grew, it become long and silky, and what's even more astounding, the tips of his ears and tail turned a burnt tan color, further enunciating his striking fur. Faint tabby stripes are visible on his long, fluffy pelt. He has a paler tan underbelly, adding a lighter tone to his color scheme. He has a plumed tail, and his fur is never seen knotted. He takes care to groom it until it's straight every day, sometimes multiple times a day. The most striking feature, though, has to be his eyes. At first glance, they seem like a deep amber or honey color. When one looks closely, there is a thin ring of olive on the edge of the pupil. There are some lighter flecks around the iris, small, otherwise unnoticeable details that enunciate his eyes.
