ohhh, gotta get to the bottom of this!

this plot handles murder, psycholgical thriller, and will most likely change a LOT depending on what happens in roleplay!

ever wanted to be a detective in warrior cats? a killer, pursued by bright minds? well, this might just be the plot for you.

this plot will take a few months, optimistically, to complete!

the killers will be picked carefully so that they: 1) work together well and 2) seem able to trick the investigators for a WHILE

throwaway victims welcome!

something’s amiss within the clans. cats dissapearing, blood staining the soil. still, every trail grows cold. every hint leads to a dead end, and every clue goes stale. there are liars and killers among us, and someone has to do something about it.

rushwater takes it upon himself after finding the corpse of a clanmate to find the cause of death. this leads him on a winding chase, following clues and creating an alliance that crosses the normal boundaries of clans, united to uncover the identity of a common enemy and finally burry the hatchet on this horrible spree of murders.

GENERAL TIMELINE

-rushwater finds the corpse of a clanmate and recognizes foul play.
-rushwater decides to investigate the murder himself when no one else decides to. a clanmate finds out about his plans and decides to help him, against his wishes of solving this solo.
-a cat from another clan finds a simmilar murder and decides to try and investigate, too.
-the riverclan pair are discussing this at a gathering, the cat from the otherclan overhears and interjects, noting the similarities between the murder they found and the one the riverclan pair are investigating.
-meeting in secret to discuss the murders, the now-trio start trying to narrow down the clan the perp is from. eventually, two new cats from varying clans join their detective group some way. (one of them is secretly one of the killers!)
-the murders continue, and the group find more and more clues- its like a battle of wits.

-a long time down the line, the identities of the killers is unveiled and they are stopped. how we get to this point will change, but it will happen eventually! both killers have been working together this whole time.

hello! i’d love for falconfeather to be the second RiverClan investigator on this; it’d be so interesting to see his profession opinion on the murder victims they find! i can see rushwater finding the body while out hunting and immediately going to find falconfeather to see if he can discern any clues rushwater couldn’t possibly know, thus working together!
