With Tinypaw in place, Lionstar bounded forward and swung a sheathed paw toward his shoulder, aiming to give him a hefty smack. If it landed, and if Tinypaw didn't have a good stance, he'd likely topple over. Or stumble, at least.

With a roll of his eyes, Fennelheart was already on top of him. He hadn’t been taking it too seriously before but now, this elder was going to get it. Pinning his ears back, he pushed up with all his force on the warrior. Which did practically nothing as he was straight out of the nursery. And even with his larger size, her skill beat him already. He just gave up, an annoyed frown pulling at his features as he laid on his back. “Get off.” Bristlepaw grumbled blandly, ready to call it a day and sleep.

Fennelheart easily trampled him and was a bit disappointed by that,” I see you have no defense skills, next time, try to dodge my attack, stepping to the side, or ducking from the blow. Or roll out of the way, if they are targeting under you, try jumping out of the way. We’ll try this again.“ she meowed expecting Bristlepaw to try what she suggested, as this time she did a simpler move of shooting a paw out aiming to swat him on the side with it. This had many ways to be avoided, he could duck to avoid it, back up, take a step to the side, or drop low. All would work.

Tinypaw felt his paw hit his shoulder and he barreled over. The young tom heard the negative voices in his head laugh at him, but the positive ones were encouraging him. Tinypaw realized his mistake and tried to fix it. He moved his paws a little bit farther together and kept his weight on the ground. Maybe this was better.

Willowpaw burst out of the river happily shaking herself out as she bounced onto the island. Hmmm another group had come while she was grabbing Dayheart but there were lots of sandbars so it was easy to find a large unoccupied one to claim and sit down and wait. It'd be a hard lesson for Willowpaw she was a small cat and it was pretty clear she was done growing by now so she would have to fight hard and smart to ever gain a victory in battle (being more built for hunting). This was why she needed lessons really, if she was ever caught and pinned (though that would be hard with her speed and wigglyness) she'd have no chance of escaping unless her foe made a mistake so learning how to not die while mobility was limited could just save her life.
