The Trials [Official RP]

A voice fills you ears as you feel yourself rise through the air, being nearly blinded by the sudden light. Your heart soars as you look out onto the arena before you, with a tinge of fear. There is only one winner here, and everyone wants to be it. yet, you grit your teeth as the announcer's voice booms over the landscape, singing in your already aching bones.
" WELCOME TO THE TRIALS!!! LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"

Four teams, five cats each. Twenty cats all battling for the prize, to be able to start a new life for themselves and family. Only one winner, and each wants to claim the crown. Who will get it in the end?

The Trials are a cat version of the Hunger Games, they go until only one cat remains. You're divided into four teams of five, and that team is bound to each other. They keep each other alive, and who ever wins brings honor to the team as whole. The dead members families are brought comfort knowing that their beloved family member helped get that cat to victory.

Notice: Trial One will be something this week.

Cider grumbled with her ears folded back the she cat was walking behind her team leader Zephyra , a 12 moon old feline ? Leading ? Far too young .and I doubt she's had any fighting experience ,I mean she has no scars no nothing . Her fur is too shiny as well. the she cat flicked her tail before walking up to Zephyras left side and giving her a glare " any ideas on what to do fearless leader? " She meowed with half a growl. She didn't know what do either but she had one thing in mind , survive , to her that was what she had to do . The calico flicked her ears when she heard a twig snap making her eyes dart around trying to find the source of it ,her eyes settled on a bird which had flown away from the small branch it was sitting on which looked bent ,giving her her answer on what made the noise ,her orbs returned to the cream colored feline awaiting her answer from her impatiently .

Zephyra gave a smirk, meeting Cider's glare with no hint of hostility in her green eyes. "Well. Keep our tails alive. that's what. but in all seriousness, we need to set up base. The other teams will want to jump us, so we need a place that's easily guarded, easy to defend, but also easy to escape from." she told her teammate. The cream she-cat knew that not many cats, let alone her own team, believed she could be a leader.
I'll prove them wrong. I may be young, but I am far from useless.

she rolled her eyes I know the first one captain obvious . then hummed at the second part well she's not wrong with that one with a snort she replied " what about a cave? " she meowed " it will keep us dry, safe ,and we won't have to worry about taking it down or with us we can just high tail it out of there " she explained then blinked at another thought " but we need to make sure it's not inhabited first " she added with a sigh and growled " why can't things just be easy " she asked the air . There were so many things you had to worry about ,so many things that got in your way , she had enough of it . She's had what she thought a rough life so far and now....she just wanted it to stop and most parts of her didn't care what happened .

(IT'S NOT AWKWARD. IM JUST RPING WITH MYSELF. AND THIS IS OPEN.)

Volt sat up. Today's the day.
He got out of his bed and looked around his box. He had always been forced to live on the streets, because no one seemed to like having to clean up after him. Yes, he was the clumsy and noisy type, but every cat in the city loved to see him. Except those twolegs that always hit him.

He hated twolegs

Ever since he was regarded as a cat that destroys everyone, the twolegs did all they could to avoid him.
He said bye to his favourite tin box, and set off to the place where he, and only he, was picked to go.
"The trials. It would be nice to represent the cats of this city. I guess im the only one going." He leapt onto the fence, happy he didn't need to go far to find the areana, just the other side of town, and past the thunderpath.

"We can do this, guys. How about we give our team a name. ya know, to make it more...official?" he shrugged his gray shoulders, the blue eye glinting. His other remained lifeless and milky pale, and the red bandana he wore around his neck rippled in the slight breeze.
He didn't want to make himself sound stupid, but he also wanted to lift their spirits. Keeping positive was a way of survival.

"Cave sounds good. And of course we would want to make sure it's unoccupied... Cider." Zephyra purred, batting her eyes playfully. The cream she-cat wasn't quite sure to make of her teammate, but Cider seemed like a strong, loyal cat. Plus she was rather good looking. A plus for Zephyra.
"Nothing's easy my dear Cider. If they were, we'd be fat and lazy. Yet here we are, trudging through the filth, looking for a star-forsaken cave." she told her.
